Hi there

First thank you so so much for such a brilliant resource. Literally a life saver! I've diagnosed with BCC on my cheekbone area a month ago and other types of facial skin cancer & pre cancerous growths on my forehead. I'm very much into complementary & alternative medicine, found your site & started with raw ACV taped over the largest growth overnight & used castor oil with bicarb topically during the day. I eat a plant based diet but increased the alkalinity with green powders and bicarb. I'm not obsessive though as I think a little bit of what you fancy does you good. I'm very much into psychological/emotional causes of "dis-ease " skin cancer ( see Evette Rose, Metaphysical Anatomy for eg) & so have contemplated that too. The spot I was treating darkened rapidly whilst the surrounding area became red & inflamed. Not pretty & people staring at me but not daring to ask what was going on. But within 2 weeks the spot had scabbed up & peeled off leaving mostly clean skin underneath.

I continued using the castor oil mix and a bit more raw ACV to make sure it was gone. Nearly a month later now & all clear. I'm using aloe, frankincense & vit e oil now with the occasional tx of castor oil / bicarb. I had a follow up at the Dr's & they were skeptical, told me it would come back & I need topical chemo for it and the others. I'm confident with this method even if I have to repeat it so not going to use the chemo stuff ever. I'm now treating the other areas in the same way and looking forward to them disappearing too! Thanks again for such an amazing resource and to everyone for sharing their stories. Deeply appreciated.

ACV Healed BCC/SCC

Three weeks ago I had a bcc or a scc on my finger & ACV along with prayer to Jesus healed it. I dipped half of a circular gauze in ACV & wrapped on top of my finger secured with bandaids throughout the day where spot occurred. After a few days a black dot appeared on spot along with tentacles & red/inflamed areas. Throughout the next two weeks tentacles continued around my finger & it was painful as I continued the ACV during the day but at night applied alba Botanica plant jelly, colloidal silver & vitamin c powder on gauze secured with bandaids. At two & a half weeks all tentacles healed but one or two so I stopped applying soaked gauze on finger. Instead applied ACV with q tip on the tentacle along with clotrimazole (Lotrimin/anti-fungal). Miraculously my finger has healed & I thank the Lord for this!

Amazed at how the simple things can work. Am going to share this with my husband who suffers from folliculitis at the hairline.

Hi trying ACV for basal cell - how long do I treat because it hurts like Hell :(

What was youre average treatment time please. This is incredibly painful and it's gotten bigger and angry looking. FYI this happened before when I treated using iodine - it got huge and angry then disapeared only to come back a couple months later so back at it :(

Apple Cider Vinegar Use On Skin Cancer

Hello! I have been using ACV on a suspected skin cancer now for several days. The spot (about the size of a half dollar) is turning red and starting to scab. The scabbing is black in a few parts, but most yellow. And it is throbbing when I soak it with the ACV. I have done several soaks per day, and have also hit it with Hydrogen Peroxide at night, followed by some Aloe.

For those than have used ACV, what kinds of scabs formed? And was their throbbing during use? It is painful, but not overbearing. I am curious what kind of progressing I should / can expect. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Apple Cider Vinegar on moles

I first tried the ACV on my arm as I had a large brown freckle that was growing darker and becoming slightly raised. I did a few sessions of covering it with some ACV on a bit of cotton wool and covering it with a band aid. It got red and sore and scabbed up. I left it for a while and then repeated the process and the next time it became very dark and scabbed up again. Once the scab came off it was normal skin underneath. It was slightly pink but I then would just dab a bit on after each shower until it completely disappeared. You wouldn't even know it had been there. I also have a small spot by my nose that comes up every 6-12 months, so I dab a bit on for a week or so and it disappears. I now have one funny sore that has come up on my leg about March this year. I thought it was just an ingrown hair, but it doesn't seem to want to go away and can be very sore and bleed. I think it's a BCC so I'm hoping and praying the process will work on this. I am going to start ingesting ACV everyday as well. Will follow up on how it goes. I've been treating my leg this last week for 2 days then gave it a break for 4 days and the sore has gotten smaller but my leg has felt quite achy. I am going to go hard out now for the next week using it every day and see how it goes. I am scared to go to the doctor as I've heard how having surgery can make them spread. I have a lot of moles I want to focus on in 2024 and see how many I can shrink!! Wish me luck:)

Apple Cider Vinegar for BCC

I've used this by my eye (and additional areas on my face), and it became blackened, pitted, itchy, and sensitive. It worked for me and yes it was scary because it's against everything we've been taught to do. Not to mention, how or who do we explain this to if all goes wrong?! I did get headaches and random pains, but I would use this treatment again!!! It's been 6 years and you can't tell there was anything there. No scar or mark at all.

I'm currently using it on my upper shoulder for a spot that was “missed” back when I had it surgically removed. This one is pretty deep, but I'm very positive it'll work. The best advice I can give, is to not stop treatment. In the beginning, I stopped after becoming nervous, and the stupid cancer grew back bigger and more stubborn.

Did you water the ACV down, did you use it close to the eye or in eye? I've a BCC on lower eyelid and can't seem to get rid of it.

How did you apply the ACV? did you use cotton pad with a bandaid/tape over it to keep it on or did you just apply throughout the day and let it dry? Very interested as I have just had 15 spots treated on my face and know there are even more to go...

First off, I was never officially diagnosed with BCC, so I'm not 100% sure this is what I'm treating, but from all the pictures and descriptions I've studied online, it appears so. Very confident in the Apple Cider Vinegar, you can also use white distilled vinegar, but I suspect it may be weaker.

I am about 3 weeks into my treatment and the scabs have still not healed, but I am finally feeling better today after 2 weeks of feeling kinda ill. I started applying Hydrogen Peroxide to the suspected area and it seemed like it was working slowly, so I decided to try the Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) method, and it works much faster imo. From my experience you have to hit each area with a cotton pad soaked in ACV for 1 - 1.5 hours per session. It will sting, but that means it's working, I believe. The easiest way is to shave your head bald, this way you can see if you have any other spots. But some spots are invisible, so take a wash rag and soak it in the ACV. Cover your bald head with the rag and apply pressure evenly over scalp. After soaking your scalp 5-10 minutes you will see white spots appear where you need to focus on, so take note of these areas. It wasnt until after treating my first spot that I discovered a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th spot because the vinegar had leaked down and help expose those spots. Now soak each area 1 - 1.5 hours daily for 3-5 days. You will have to power thru the stinging, but that means it is working. When they turn dark brown/black is when you know it is working. You can stop and let them heal a while, but you will probably need to hit them again after a couple - few weeks of healing.

Things that will make it WORSE: Poor diet = sugar, corn syrup, processed foods, carbs, flour, saturated fats (unhealthy meats) STAY AWAY FROM THESE THINGS. I would also stay away from alcohol, cigarettes and any other bad habits for the time being.

Things that will help - Vitamin C, Hot Baths, Good Foods = organic Cruciferous veggies & leafy Greens. walnuts, Almonds, Lemons, Wild Fish(Salmon)

My diet is basically Vegetables, Almonds, Walnuts, Lemon Juice, Lemon rhinds, green tea & distilled water. I had a fruit smoothie today, and it didnt make me feel bad for once. Stay away from breads carbs & sweets and coffee, as coffee lowers Vitamin C levels.. Fruit may be borderline as it contains sugars. Don't buy vitamin C from store (its not real vitamin C), save your citrus peels dry them using only the light bulb from inside your oven (this will dry them out but not be hot as Heat destroys Vitamin C), and grind them up using a food processor to make REAL vitamin C capsules.

Vitamin D? This is the controversial part as some people say you need it, some people say the Vitamin D capsules you buy from store are rat poison. Get your Vitamin D from sunlight? Did the sunlight cause the BCC? So I don't know, it could be some other environmental toxin or possibly Alcohol related that causes BCC.

Today is day 21 of my "treatment" and I have a lymph node that is swollen. Not sure if this is a result of the treatment or something else, but hot showers seem to make swelling go down. I jog 2 miles every morning as exercise gets the lymph juices circulating. I ate a hamburger the other night and felt like crap the next day. Not sure if it was from the meal or just that my body is fighting infection, but I've been eating better since, and I am feeling much better today.

I had a small squamous cell skin cancer on my forearm. It was about 1 1/2 inches across and I've had it for many years. After seeing other people get Mohs surgery and the drastic results of missing skin and stitching and scarring I decided to research other methods. I came across this blog and saw that people were using Apple cider vinegar on their skin cancers.

I have been applying A C V twice a week full strength after thoroughly washing my arm to the site.

Most of the cancer is gone and in its place is a flattened red area. Only a small portion of the cancer remains. I am now applying a drop of ACV Directly to this area. I will hopefully be able to be clear of this cancer soon and will try to update the blog.

WORKED TEMPORARILY

Hi All -

I've had many BCC and several SCC over the last 25 years. No longer will I do excision, toxic chemo creams or MOHS all of which were recommended by my dermatologist as they always come back. Mine have come back after using ACV too after a few years.

Here are some things I have read about....food for thought... I have heard of people curing cancers by change of diet: no animal products (causes your body to be too acidic), no sugar or processed foods - just fruits, veg, nuts, seeds legumes, whole grains etc. Many stories of successful reversal of cancer via juicing (search Chris Wark, James Templeton) ...so my thought is if it works for cancer why not skin cancer? Also search Ralph Cole carrots.

I have heard great things about Curaderm BEC cream but I have not tried it. James Templeton of Templeton Wellness has interviewed a doctor who has a proprietary product he uses (only available in the USA through his traveling clinics). I have also found information online (youtube videos) regarding Petty Spurge aka Radium Weed which grows wild all in the UK, Australia and am sure must be in Europe. Many people mention Rick Simpson oil - some type of oil made from marijuana. Search Dr Tullio Simoncini out of Rome Italy who uses 7% iodine and or bicarb but there is a process/procedure that you have to follow. You can have an on line appointment with him and he gives you the procedure. (I didn't do it as I cannot get the iodine.) A few days ago I discovered an author, Ewan M Cameron, who has written a book called The Skin Cancer Miracle but I have not read it yet. Another thing I have read many people say using good quality Frankincense essential oil several times a day got rid of their skin cancers.

Also there was a study done at Sydney University where people took 500mg 2 X per day of Nicotinamide (NOT Niacin! NOT Niacinamide) and many people said it kept their BCC from coming back. If your dermatologist has not told you about it and or recommended you to take it - fire him/her and get another dermatologist who honors their hippocratic oath to do no harm. They clearly just see you as a $ sign. And call him/her out on it! New research may show sun screens which are loaded with toxic chemicals may do more harm than good and that we need some sun (work your way up to 15-20 mins per day) exposure on bare skin. It seems everyone on this post seems to be having the same issues of recurrent skin cancers.

There is a solution...what works for one may not work for another but don't ever give up....keep trying and keep researching. I hope some of this helps.

I am a bit concerned. I used ACV before to get rid of new wart on my forehead. It scabbed up, fell off and left no scar. All within 5 days.

I found this site and thought would try it on the bcc on my thigh and then other troubling sites. I applied ACV to 2 suspected bcc on my thigh, a possible wart on the collar bone, a wart or skin tag on my hairline, and an off color dry rough flaky patch with brown on one edge on the back of my upper left arm, that I have had for at least 4 years. The latter patch is the one most troubling to me.

I used ACV for two nights and a hole filled with looked like light yellow pus with a black dot appeared. Also, around the perimeter, other things are happening which I am not sure is a reaction to band aid or tx, but my skin is red bumpy and looks bruised. The site was painful the 2nd night and going forward every time I applied tx.

On the third day, I used ACV for about 4 hours, then H2O2 3% during the day. At night I put organic coconut oil on it. This hole has not changed much. The site is looking really bad with this yellowish hole, and now black spots on one side. It is still really irritated along a 1 inch perimeter with one side red and bumpy. Yesterday, I tried only H2O2 dabbing it on rather than letting it sit under a band-aide. I alternated using coconut oil and essential oils that worked to removed suspected bcc. Last night I dabbed with H2O2 let dry and then treated it with the essential oils.

What was a 1 inch site that did not itch or hurt me has been a major problem since I started treating this and I am not sure if this is normal and how to proceed since it is so irritated on a wide area of the perimeter. It is on the back of my arm, so it is hard to even dress it now. I need some direction as to whether this is normal for the surface to change this much. An infection has been a concern, I am keeping it clean and no fever, so maybe I should not be too concerned.

Anyone who has experienced this, please advise. I did not think the site cancerous and but now am wondering what it was to have such a severe reaction. Did I burn a hole in my skin? or is this a process of healing?

FYI: I have treated most of the sites the same except for my scalp hair line. I decided to go with H2O2 dabs and then essential oils.

The bcc on my leg went flat and shiny red to a pit raised and this a.m. felt a bit raw and looked like it had broken skin on the edges, so I cleaned it with H2O2 and put essential oils on it. The collar bone is a sore site but not as big, it is now a red raised bump with a white center. Should I continue on with alternating tx and resume ACV? diluting it?

Advice welcomed, please.

I have used Bragg's unpasteurized, unfiltered pure apple cider vinegar for my skin cancer for over 12 years. I had a very large spot on my forehead, I used a cotton ball, soaked in the vinegar and taped it on my cancer and slept with it on, then during the day I would continue to apply the vinegar, mine was so large that during my self treatment the roots of the cancer came to the surface, they died as well, however it was scary that the amount I had surfaced. I feel that with this type of cancer it will consistently keep emerging, therefore I continue to use the vinegar daily after my shower. Stay out of intense sun, find shade and enjoy your life without unnecessary surgery. Mahalo for reading my story.

Anyone used ACV near the eye? I'm waiting for surgery to remove a BCC but started to use ACV. As I was careful to avoid my eye area, I missed half of the cancer. I have a hole ( which is now filling up with blood cells) where I was treating it. I've now stopped as I'm afraid of causing damage and therefore needing more treatment. I believe it was working though. If it wasn't so near my eye I would've continued.

I have been treating a large round basal carcinoma on my arm with the following procedure. It was previously dark, raised and angry looking but with this treatment has gone through several stages of flattening out, changing to red but more healthy looking. I stopped treatment and it did not progress so started up again with the following: 1. Before bedtime Saturate a small piece of cotton wool in ACV Braggs ACV with ‘the mother' is the best. Cover area with this and apply 2 bandaids like a ‘cross' to keep out oxygen. 2. Repeat every night same time. 3. Alternate with organic turmeric powder, including ACV 4. Also add 3% Hydrogen peroxide to the mix. This stung a bit but subsided. 5. Day 3 - Good result Looks like treatment is eating up the carcinoma and flattening out not so raised.. 6. Important to keep it covered once treatment is done each day. I leave it exposed for 30 mins then treat and cover. I will post again in a few days of results. I also had a basal carcinoma on my face which was cut out by surgery several years ago leaving a large scare from skin transplant. A small new mole formed (and got progressively bigger) a few months ago. I recently applied ACV and it disappeared in 2 days- completely gone! The one on my arm was very advanced, so taking longer but I do believe home treatment is working. A doctor saw it last week and told me I was a ‘fool' for doing this but I believe I will prove him wrong. Will post further results soon.

Your doctor is using the psychological strategy of calling you a fool to discourage you from using safe and effective techniques to cure because they prefer you to see them so that they can get paid for using surgery etc, (and med school inputs pharma inputs and says alternatives don't work, and hence he formed that belief without investigating alternative treatments) and as you have seen when surgery is used a scar formed, also it is probably easy to accidentally miss some of it when cutting it out and so it returns and then u return to add further to doctors pay packet. I have removed skin lesions multiple times using ACV. The red raised skin tag can be removed by placing dental tape around them and tieing them so they cut off circulation to the lesion. that technique is more painful and risky though.

I recently cut my finger with pruning clippers and its formed into a raised lesion half cm diam, erythematous circumference, opaque looking border and flat on the surface with a few nodular looking circles on the surface. I applied Apple Cider Vinegar and it swelled and white spike coming up in the center, then applied eucalptus oil and now Apple Cider Vinegar again. I applied aloe vera as well. I was going to apply different agents (acv, aloe, turmeric, eucalyptus etc) to use the natural compounds to stimulate the body to heal itself, though I feel now I will just stick to let Apple Cider Vinegar eat away at it, as this technique has worked well in the past. pathophysiology mechanism is the Apple Cider Vinegar eats away at it slowly like macrophage/chemical dissolving and also soaks into it where the mother bacteria and other natural compounds of apple can do their work (unknown what they do as I haven't read research on it).

If this doesn't work, I will try the h202 and curcumin (turmeric) and read others commenting about results from those. Thank you to those that share their experiences to build up a library of treatments based on results.

I have been treating my BCCs with ACV for about 3 years now and have learned a lot about what works best. In my experience, if you leave a soaked cotton pad on the BCC every day several times, it will go through various stages, BUT IT IS ONLY AFTER IT TURNS BLACK (OR BLOODY) THAT THE BCC IS UNDER CONTROL (dying). So you did well. Even after it turns black I normally continue the treatment for a few days longer just to make sure. BCC have an extensive root system, so I learned also to re apply ACV to the same spot after a few months and see what reacts at that time.

Hi Tia,

it kills it, but because the root system of BCC is so big, I believe it is hard to be sure you really get 100%. In some spots, I know I effectively killed it for good, in others I sometimes wait till another 'tendril' of the BCC finds its way to the surface or near it and then I apply ACV again to it. There are some spots that are easier to kill than others.

Hi Tami!

I had a brown "liver" spot on the back of my hand that was gone in three days using a combination of natural things which i cannot recall with certainty. I scrubbed it with baking soda to exfoliate the surface, applied 3% peroxide, lemon juice, cleaned it with isopropyl, and finally rubbed in some homemade horseradish as far as i recall. I saw that the more i scrubbed at it with the horseradish the lighter it got. It turned from dark brown to light purple and puffed up as i scrubbed at it. Without any more treatment it was nearly gone within minutes, and by day three completely gone. My point being strange side effects may happen. I have used acv to remove moles with success within days without any damage to the surrounding skin. It is not likely, I think, that the ACV is causing any damage to the healthy skin. Probably the black color is a good sign, especially if you have a dark complexion to begin with. Did you mean the carcinoma was healing when you said it was clearing up? If it gets too scarey you might sooth it with some fresh aloe gel until you can discern what is happening.

I am VERY fair and spent many summers from age 8-20 burning on the MA, CT & RI coast in the USA and also lived in Sydney Australia in my 20's. First skin cancers started showing up in my 30's. I have had basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and Actinic Keratoses. I have had Mohs Surgery, Excisional Surgery, Curettage and Electrodesiccation, Cryosurger and Photodynamic Therapy and also used a topical ointment (basically topical chemo). ALL have come back...yes even Mohs! The topical was the worst, for me.

Since they all have come back I really didn't want to do any of the "proper" treatments from the dermatologist anymore as they have failed me. Thank heavens for the internet. I started to do some research on natural or alternative ways to treat skin cancers. I tried organic apple cider vinegar with the mother and had good results.

Kind of hurts, cancer falls off, leaves a hole, then red mark. You can research treating skin cancers and pre-skin cancers with ACV. Best of luck and love to you all

I just had a Moh's surgery on my forehead, followed by plastic surgery to close the hole. It's taking its time to heal, and I wish I had used an alternative to the surgery. In other words, if I were you, yes!, I would try the alternative routes with a passion. Surgery is no fun and traumatic as well. I know this is on your back, so not as bad, but in my humble opinion, if you can try to heal yourself with Mother Nature's help, then go for it!

Thank you to all the people who contributed here with their useful information. I had one basal cell carcinoma removed by surgery. Following this 4 appeared on my back. The hospital said that surgery can cause more to appear. They also wanted to take biopsies in seperate procedures. Then they suggested treating them, if possible, with light therapy, activating the cancer cells. I didn't like the sound of this, so I searched for a natural remedy and found it here. I went all out applying vinegar every hour or so for about two weeks. I continued treating them (probably for far longer than necessary). I made the mistake of not applying enough moisturiser, so I do have small scars. I also treated other suspicious areas on my face and shoulder. It worked. I believe that they would respond to a far less full-blown treatment. I have another on my leg which I tried to ignore as I was tired of the regime! But that seems to respond to far less intensive treatment. I also drank the Organic Unfiltered Raw Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother (it's important to use this specific one for the treatment too, I think) mixed with water during the treatment. It's interesting to note that after patch testing I have found that I am allergic to parfum (which comes under many other names) which is in almost every toiletry and cosmetic product, not to mention cleaning products. I wonder if this has contributed to the susceptibility to these. Allergy to parfum is increasingly common because we are subjected to overwhelming amounts of it these days.

I drink apple cider vinegar w/the mother for my stomach but I certainly will try it on my arm as I have suspicious spots. I just had a dime sized BCC removed at the front base of my neck. I'm concerned after reading that surgery can make more appear? Why would that be?

I have been reading lately that it's sunscreens, not the sun, that causes skin cancers. There are ingredients that are not good for us in almost every product we use it seems. Also in our environment. We need answers to a lot of these questions. Best wishes.

First off I'm not a doctor. Here is my story. About 5-6 years ago around 2012 I started getting a sore on my ear about 1/4" in diameter that wouldn't heal. I'm a side sleeper and it would constantly bleed on my pillow. I would put different over the counter meds on it such as Neosporin. It wouldn't heal. So I went to my GP and he did a biopsy where it came back positive for Basal Cell. I then went on the internet looking for different things to try and different posts about ACV showed up. So I decided to give it a try internally and externally (about 1 table spoon per day internally). Putting on the spot using a cotton ball I would let it set for 15-30 minutes and would apply again. I did this for about 5 times per day for a week or so. It did have a light sting to it but not unbearable. A small white circle incurred around the sore. When the scab fell off in about a week of starting ACV there was a red spot. So I went thru the process again and another scab formed and fell off. So I was cautious in touching it and drying it off after taking a shower. It looked good for a few years but it came back again this year (July 2018). I started the process again with the ACV and it took about 2 weeks of repeating the treatment. Plus after the scab fell off I put on a mixture of Aloe vera, Vitamin E, & Coconut oil. The sore has healed great right now. There is no evidence or scar. I also purchased a pillow with a hole and that works very well when sleeping on my side to protect my ear. It's been about one month now since the spot has healed and very happy with the results. Would do it again if needed. Jimmy

I have been using these ideas for about 8 months. I had an infection I believe from shaving over 2 years ago, that with chronic inflammation for months turned into basal cell. The size is now way smaller and seems to be ready to heal up totally. My additional treatment to this idea was vitamin C tab mixed with baking soda and multivitamin mixed with a little water. It has been frustrating, as twice I stopped treating thinking it was a normal scab and healed, but when the scab fell off it was still there. I have been using baking soda with water or coconut oil. Hydrogen peroxide, Apple cider vinegar. Sometimes taking a couple days off when it got too red and inflamed and using flax oil and aloe. It is way smaller and seems to be just about licked.

Update:

After 2 weeks the bcc fell off and left a small indentation which is a bit raw at the moment. I still put ACV on every night and an anti bacterial cream covered with a plaster when I go to work. How much longer before it will be healed?

I tried ACV for about 2 weeks on a dry spot on my face that I know was BCC. It surfaced after a day of golfing and I forgot sunscreen :(. It was a small scabbed up dry skin patch like the other BCC I had surgically removed.

After two weeks of using it about 3 times a day, the spot cleared up and the skin returned to normal pinkish color. It did sting, and bled some as it healed and it kept drying, scabbing, and then peeling/flaking off and then at maybe two weeks it cleared up.

I was concerned enough to schedule a Dermatologist appointment before starting ACV, and kept the appointment and they did not even discern the spot even though I pointed it out to them. I did not tell them I used ACV though but that I had noticed dry skin there.

Not sure how it worked but it seemed to clear it up for me. Not scientific I know but I certainly will wear more sunscreen and consider myself thankful that I found this page.

All the best and wanted to share.

I have had a number of BCCs surgically removed as well as a malignant melanoma and last year a BCC appeared on my nose. I googled a natural treatment as I didn't want a scar on my face (vain I know) and I found apple cider vinegar was great it definitely ‘removes' the BCC. However, mine does keep coming back every 3 months or so, so I just treat it again until it goes. This for me is far better than surgery.

We use Apple Cider Vinger every day for the last 10 years for everything. I had a biopsy done on my nose 5 weeks ago. They said their was a lot of basal cells and want to cut it all out. I said no. So I did my Vinegar and 4 week later I think it is all gone. I feel great and look good now. Thanks to Apple Cider Vinger

I have been putting this apple cider vinegar treatment on my nose skin with bcc for a few weeks and it is working. You have to be patient with it but I didn't know that apple cider vinegar was a natural treatment. I went to two demerlogist and none of treatment worked but I do have go to one soon because I am worry it might be a SCC so what your advice.

Hi Caroline,

If you are concerned with a lesion 'maybe being SCC', your first step has to be a visit to the dermatologist and get a sample of the tissue. See what the pathology report comes back with and go from there. I would NEVER suggest untested topical treatments for SCC because of its natural tendency to spread and even metastasize if not treated in a timely manner. Surgical removal will likely be your best plan if it does turn out to be an SCC but with the use of the 'Moh's microsurgical mapping' technique the surgeons can minimize the amount of area they need to remove. You want to get a biopsy as soon as possible though! Good luck.

Clean the area with rubbing alcohol. Saturate a piece of cotton with straight ACV - the cotton should be big enough to cover the area. Place the saturated cotton over the bcc and secure it with a bandage. Change it daily.

I snip the cotton off the end of a cotton swab and handle it with a tweezer to prevent the Apple Cider Vinegar from being pressed out.

I have used this successfully on moles, the procedure would likely be the same. I am curious whether raw turmeric might be effective for your bcc applied topically.

I had basal cell skin cancer inside the top curve of my ear for over 10 years. I saw various doctors during that time and treatments did not work. Last year I was told my a new doctor that my only option now, was mohs. I saw pictures on the internet of mohs surgery and the large holes that are in need of plastic surgery.

I came upon this site and read the other reviews. I have been using ACV for 5 weeks and I believe it will be completely healed in another week. I put the vinegar on a q-tip about 10 times per day, a few nights I left it on all night. It went through a painful period, but now it has almost completely closed and is not noticeable or scarred. I am so surprised by the results, I believe the key is to keep doing it, even through the painful period, just believe it will work.

Hi Zoey, I hope you have continued success with being rid of your BCC. I had it on my temple area about 5 yrs ago. My Dermatologist removed it surgically in her office- and the lab showed clean margins. It returned about 4 years later and I ended up having Mohs surgery last June. While it was not a fun process taking care of the wound site for almost 2 months after the surgery, it healed so unbelievably well it barely shows - so I can't imagine what pictures of Moh's surgery holes you saw on the internet. Perhaps they were right after surgery before they had time to heal or may end the BCC was very extensive.

What wonderful advice related to ACV and BCC. My situation is that I started out with a small speck on my face close to my nose. I had it checked by a PCP. We both thought it was a blocked pore, (blackheads). I was applying clay masks and doing anything I could to address blackheads. Anyway, it grew so just saw a dermatologist last week.

I'm rather a moley kind of person, have many. I've also have spent enough time in the sun too. I'm of the third age. Anyway the dermatologist immediately said it was a BCC. I'm going in for a biopsy on June 20th. He also told me he'd have to remove it surgically. Oh boy!!

Anyway, I'm wondering whether the ACV would work for a BCC such as the one I have. It is of the darker variety compared to some of the BCCs that have been posted about here.

Anyway, I know I don't have to tell you all that I'm so reluctant with idea of the surgery.

One question I have is what kind of soap or cleanser can be safely used on my face to clean it before I apply the ACV. Do any of you use sun screen on the BCC? I basically have been really paranoid to put anything on the BCC itself, since I tried covering it up with makeup some mos. ago, and it seemed as if that possibly agitated it. Who knows, but that is when it started to look a little bigger.

I'm really trying to find alternative ideas or protocol as to how best to address this challenge in front of me.

Thank you all for advice given,

Margeaux

Appreciate the good experience of surgery. I'm going 6/21. Took biopsy a week ago and that is healing rather well. I've read moist is best and it seems to be. I have it on the side of the nose near the tip. I've read so much on the procedure as well as taking care of it to prevent scarring. Also looking at what one can do to help lessen probability of returning....thus this site.

Hi Darrell,

I was wondering.......post biopsy treatment, I just had one two days ago. Still have the bandaid on it they sent me home with. Is it wise to remove it now?

Derm hardly gave me any post treatment instructions about the biopsy. Can I wash it safely after two days, and should I apply something such as Polysporin, since I've also read about keeping it moist.

How are you doing? Have you had the surgery? Wish you all the best.

Margeaux~ I am currently treating 2 spots on my shoulder with a combination of ACV and baking soda mixed with coconut oil. They both look lighter and less "angry" than they did a week ago. I treated similar spots on my other shoulder last year and both went away completely. Even though I have very fair skin, I haven't used commercial sunscreens in years due to all the chemicals in them. I also haven't used conventional make-up in years for the same reason. For moisturizer, I use either coconut oil, or a raw, organic aloe vera gel. I hope this helps! Good luck with however you decide to treat your BCC.

Thanks so much for your advice. Yes, since I posted that day, which was when I got the news, I've been doing a lot of research about BCC. I understand that the coconut oil and baking soda is another way one can go as far a natural treatment. It took me a whole week to feel the fear, and face it anyway. Today I started the ACV, actually I have a wet cotton right over the area as I type.

Anyway, sending good vibes to you and anyone who needs some of that too.

Hi Rose,

How is your treatment progressing? Well, I did a few days worth of the ACV on my mole. It stung just a bit. I think it was the 2nd day after I'd applied it, and since I was going out during sunlight hours, I placed a bandaid over it. The bandaid came off before I left, and I noticed a tiny bit of blood on it. Is this normal, and should I continue to apply the ACV?

Actually, I stopped after I experienced this, for two days now. Tomorrow I'm scheduled for the biopsy, so I'm aware I'll have to allow that to heal. So I'm just wondering if you or anyone might know how long I'd have to wait after a biopsy, until I can continue the ACV, or any other natural treatment on the BCC. I guess I'd also better be ready with some polysporin? Anyway, this is a concern of mine today. Thank you.

Hi Margeaux~

Yes, both the ACV and baking soda do sting a bit, but I figure that's telling me it's working. My treatment seems to be going well, thank you for asking. I did have bleeding a few times as well. Again, I see that as a good sign. These spots seem to be taking longer to heal than last time, but it may be due to my less-than-ideal diet at the moment. I have a lot of other stress in my life right now, and I haven't been eating very well because of it. I'm trying to decrease my sugar intake, but that's easier said than done! I don't know about time to wait after the biopsy, but you could try just raw organic coconut oil at first. I figure if you can eat it, it can't hurt! Good luck with your treatment.

Good to hear that your treatment is going well. Oh....the sugar, yes I'm there also! I'm trying hard to cut down on that, and yes diet is important.

So it's now day three post biopsy. I've felt a bit of discomfort, and a bit of bleeding, not too bad. I still have the band aid over it, but today I'm going to remove and try applying possibly the coconut oil, as it is antibacterial. I'd also thought of polysporin.

Thanks for the suggestion, really appreciated.

Hi Margeaux~

I understand what you mean about feeling lonely. There are very few people I can talk to about this because most don't understand why I wouldn't want to go see a doctor. I'm beginning to wonder if what I have isn't SCC instead of BCC and I've started reading up on that also. And, the more I read, the more worried I become. Apparently, the SCC is a more aggressive type of skin cancer and can spread to nearby lymph nodes. The 2 largest spots I have are near my underarm. I may start searching for a holistic health practitioner. Wishing you luck with your treatments. Keep in touch and let me know how things work out.

Rose,

Good to hear from you again! So have you been experiencing some of that also, not being able to talk to people about it?

Many people just don't understand especially if they haven't had this experience. Feeling the reluctance to go get it checked, and people not understanding this aspect. I went through some of this also. Here I went first to my GP. She photographed it, said it looked like blackheads, and it did. I never heard back from her, this is when it was smaller. Later it grew just a bit. So you can't imagine how many people, even people I barely know would opine at this blemish on my face, and how I should get it checked. During this time, I was actually on a wait list over a month to a derm the insurance referred me to. All of that was driving me rather nuts, people's queries, and basically none of their business. I do sympathize with you on this.

It's now been exactily a week after the biopsy. I experienced itching. So I put some ACV on it, then some coconut oil, but let it air out. I do put a bandaid on it if I go out or think I'll be exposed to dirt, etc.

I hope you find a good Naturopathic doctor in your area. Have you considered using this eggplant treatment I've read about here?

I wish you all the best, and know we can talk, I understand.

Hi Rose,

How are you doing today? I know this feeling of being scared. This is what I've experienced since the day the derm after just visual assessment informed me that it looked like a BCC. I really didn't know what that meant.

Believe me, I can relate to you not wanting to go in to get it looked at. What I had to tell myself, was "feel the fear, and do it anyway." You know these things we have to tell ourselves so that we take that step?

I see why you would be reluctant, given the location of your lesions.

O.K., try not to worry too much. I was in that mode last week, and I've been doing some meditations to calm me down. I've also have made sure to do some fun things, and routine things around the house so that I don't think about this so much.

If you would like for me to include you in a meditation, I'd be happy to do that for you, just let me know.

Anyway, here's to all of us affected by this and finding answers, sharing and healing!

Hi Margeaux~

Thank you for your last 2 replies. It helps to know there's someone else out there who understands! I finally did open up to my sister. She was actually the one who originally got me into clean eating, but she can still be a bit more traditional with doctors. Before I told her, I made her promise to not freak out - or tell our mother. Anyway, she was very supportive and did some research -- she's newly into essential oils. She also fosters a dog who suffers from seizures and has been giving him CBD oil in his food. Since she started, his seizures have been happening less often and are less severe. I researched using CBD oil topically, but didn't find very much. Anyway, my sister gave me some Frankincense oil and I've been using that in addition to the ACV and baking soda/coconut oil paste. It doesn't sting like the baking soda does, and the spots seem to be a little better. I also just starting drinking ACV and raw honey mixed in water first thing in the morning. This is supposed to help with a variety of issues from the inside. The other thing I'm considering is getting a thermal image of the area. It's used in other countries to detect skin cancer, but has not been approved here by the FDA. Not a surprise. I would be very grateful to have you include me in your meditation. That's very sweet of you. I will pray for your healing as well.

Rose,

That's great that you were able to share it with your sister.

This is some kind of experience isn't it? I know exactly what you're going through, warning your sister, then asking her not to tell your mom. I too have been very selective, as to whom it feels safe sharing this info. with. It could appear based on people's reactions, that we almost have to accommodate their feelings about a cancer condition since it freaks them out.

If she is into oils, this could mean that she will be supportive if you take the natural route. Frankinscense oil is wonderful. I think I'm going to start drinking the ACV, as I understand it alkalinizes the system.

I have been dabbing my spot with ACV, just a little bit, then applying coconut oil. It's rather interesting because I've noticed that it looks as if a skin covering has formed over the area. Don't want to mess too much with it for now, but keep applying the coconut oil, since it is anti-bacterial. It does sting some, so think it could be still healing from the biopsy.

Thanks so much for the prayers!

Hi Rose,

How you doing? So I've been keeping at it using the ACV on my problem area. I notice that it seems to draw something out. The area looks a bit irritated also. I know that people say this is what happens. But I'm just wondering how long the irritation part lasts. Anyway, just want to make sure that it is doing what its supposed to be doing. I do put coconut oil after I've done an application of the ACV. Next week I go for the follow up biopsy appt., and I'm not sure I'll fess up to the derm what I've been using. But I'm NOT going to have this Moh's surgery!

Just so you know, if you get MOHS on the bridge of your nose, you will probably experience throbbing for years, if not the rest of your life! It also cut the circulation so my nose is much colder than before and runs more. Also, as I saw in the info about skin cancer, I have had 3 other spots appear in the same general area, after having it ALL removed, supposedly. One small spot required a 2" scar and the other 2 I treated myself with Efudex and plan to never get MOHS again. Trying ACV on a spot on my leg, since I saw this thread.

Hi Christine, Yes, this is normal. The first couple days, (several weeks ago) I applied ACV it became red, irritated looking and sore. At that time, I wasn't as persistent applying the ACV, since I was days away from a biopsy. After the biopsy I was nervous to apply once more, since now the derm had opened my BCC, and well now that ACV was really going to sting, and it did. Once more it became irritated, etc. But I became more persistent and I'm still doing it. Don't fret though, this will calm down. The other thing I can offer since I tried it, is apply something soothing. Now I've been alternating the ACV. So I'll leave that on for something like 30 mins., or until the cotton has dried of the ACV. After that I apply coconut oil. Coconut oil is anti-bacterial. My experience has been that even using the coconut oil, I feel the sting just a bit. But apparently both ACV & coconut oil have the ability to get down to the BCC and draw it out. Particularly this is what the coconut oil has been doing for me. It is also soothing, since it is an oil. I've also added in fresh Aloe. I have a big one in my garden. So I've taken a leaf, cut it open, and apply the gel and gooey stuff. That is super soothing. The trick is to keep it moist with something like the Aloe, or coconut oil, or some other similar gel/oil. Also, after I'd experienced enough of that intense soreness from ACV, I gave that a rest for a few days. One more point, if you get it wet with water, like in the shower, or washing your face, make sure you apply something moisturizing, which would be the Aloe/coconut oil, even some people use vitamin e. When I've taken a shower, and it invariably gets wet, if I don't apply moisturizing......the drying part starts tugging the BCC, then that really hurts. Anyway, just want to share anything that's helped me, so it can be of help to you.

Happy Healing & Just Keep Doing It! Margeaux

Hello. I wonder if anyone is still checking for comments on this thread as I am in the process of self treating a BCC on my cheek. I would like to share my experiences, as I have had several, in treating this horrible affliction.

To begin with I am fair skinned, grew up on the beach in Texas, and suffered many a sunburn in my lifetime. Also, in my teen years I had acne and my mother took me to a dermatologist who gave me radiation treatments. Bad idea. It cleared up the acne but they have discontinued that treatment since it has caused many patients to develop skin cancer years later. I was one of the unlucky ones.

My first skin cancer I knew of was in 2000 and a dermatologist biopsied it and diagnosed it as BCC. She removed us using a technique known as MOH's Surgery (so she said) and the result was a scar on my right cheek which was upsetting to me because we women are so sensitive about our looks and especially our faces. The scar has become less visible over the years but is still there.

The next time I experienced a couple of little places on my face I went to a dermatologist who biopsied them, a horrid procedure, and diagnosed them as SCC and BCC. She recommended MOH's surgery and scheduled me an appointment with a doctor who specialized in that type of surgery. During our appointment I asked him about what kind of scar it would leave. He looked at me like that was a dumb question and said "Are you concerned about scarring?" I walked out never to return. I knew that I didn't want any doctor who didn't know that anyone, especially a woman, would be concerned about scarring. He scared me. So I went to a different dermatologist other than the first one. This one told me there was a new product on the market called Aldara. She said it was highly effective in killing the cancer and that it didn't affect the skin around and didn't leave scarring. The tube was expensive. I had some pre-cancerous spots as well and she told me to put it on all of them. It created great big scabs on my face that looked absolutely horrible. I used the product for about two to three weeks as I recall. (This was over ten years ago) It was an agonizing experience because it was painful and horrible looking. I remember not even being able to sleep at night. I learned later that this is a form of Chemo and that many patients who use it have side effects that last a very long time if not forever. In my case, after the dark and ugly scabs finally went away it left a light pink perfect skin underneath with NO scarring whatsoever. It did remove some of the pigment from my skin and as a result I need to wear makeup to even it out. But it was better than surgery. Much better, other than the painful experience I incurred using it.

After that, about five years ago I had a small spot develop on the bridge of my nose. It was very tiny but suspicious looking because it would bleed easily and didn't want to heal. I went to a new dermatologist since the last one didn't take my insurance any longer and she biopsied it with the 'scrape' method. The biopsy left a huge hole in my nose right on the bridge and took forever to just heal. And then it would stay healed. As it turns out it was another BCC. She wanted to do MOH's surgery, which is her specialty. By this time I had become distrustful of anyone who mentioned surgery and especially after she had taken such a big whack out of my nose for the biopsy. I just didn't trust her. She said she could do MOH's surgery in her office and then do a skin graft by taking skin from behind my ear and putting it on my nose. I was depressed and confused over the prospect. I would have used Aldara again but it says to keep it away from your nose for some reason. The spot began to grow and I had a constant scab on it...right on the bridge of my nose. It was unsightly and embarrassing. I had to do something so I begged my insurance company to let me use the dermatologist I did trust because they had a doctor in their clinic who was supposedly the BEST at MOH's surgery in this town. My insurance covered having the incision closed by a plastic surgeon since it was in the location it was. I interviewed plastic surgeons and found one I had confidence in even though I was still terrified.

When the MOH's surgery doctor did the surgery it was about the size of a small green pea in circumference. When he finished the surgery he had taken off skin and tissue the size of a quarter on the bridge of my nose. A quarter. Can you imagine how that looked on the bridge of one's nose?
The next morning the plastic surgeon did the skin graft in the hospital with me put fully under. I have severe anxiety and this was the only way he wanted to do it under the circumstances. My insurance paid for it in full. He did a good job. It isn't perfect but I don't look like phantom of the opera either. The skin from behind my nose is much lighter than my normal skin but the texture is about the same. Some cover up evens it out so that it isn't that noticeable. But still....the experience is one I do not want to repeat. Ever. And so...that brings me to today. To why I am self treating my skin cancers on my face instead of opting for surgery, which is in any case a horrible experience, with some being worse than others. The problem with BCC is those little tentacles/roots that you can't see and don't know how far reaching they are. This is why MOH's is not a good deal if there is any other option. In MOH's they cut a small amount and look to see if they got it all and if not they go back and cut out more and look at it and etc. To get all the roots they generally take out a much larger area than what you can see of the spot from the outside.

I am hoping against hope that this home treatment will make my BCCs go away so that I can avoid surgery. Here's what I am doing:

I am using a mixture of baking soda and virgin coconut oil mixed half and half. I'm applying this to the affected spots three times a day including bedtime. It burns and stings and sometimes throbs but it seems to be doing something positive. The skin around the spots is quite inflamed but everything I have read says this is natural and not to worry that it will not damage healthy skin and will only kill the cancer, drawing out the roots as well. I've been using it for about two weeks now and the main scab, the big one that would bleed easily if touched, has gone now. In the beginning, during the first few days, my spot went through several reactions. It was very angry looking and swollen at first. It stung very badly and I wondered if I was doing the right thing but I persisted. After about one week following washing the area I noticed that it looked like a big yellow glob of something was on the spot and with a Qtip I moved it around and it was loose but something seemed to be hanging on the spot. So I used some tweezers to lift it off and it had a somewhat large root about 1/4 inch in length. I believe this was definitely the cancer coming out. I don't know if that was all of it or not so I am still treating it daily. I'm also treating a couple of other pre-cancerous looking spots I had that were on my chest. One is responding very positively and the other is still in the angry stinging stage.

Presently the main spot on my left cheek that I am concentrating on appears to be going away. There is some kind of light colored scabby looking something covering up the hole where the cancer was (I hope was) and I am being careful with it so that it can heal without me tugging on it or trying to take it off. My husband feels it is looking better and looks like it is healing.

Today I began putting ACV on the spots before putting the baking soda/coconut oil salve on them. Tonight I will wash the areas and apply Polysporin to hopefully prevent infection.

I will update this after a few days to let you know my progress. I am very interested to know if any of you have used this type treatment and how it turned out for you?

Thanks.

When I tell heart folks about EDTA Chelation, that is the first thing they say....... will my insurance cover it? HELL NO. For Ozone?..... will my insurance cover it? HELL NO. How about Hormone Modulation? .... HELL NO. Are you interested in your health or whether your insurance will cover the cost or not. Dang, pick up roadside cans if you are that hard up. Hi Robert and thanks for your "shoot from the hip" response. I have actually been very curious about Curaderm and don't know anyone who has ever used it. My insurance will pay in entirety for surgically removing these cancers. That isn't a problem. The problem is I don't want to undergo the knife again. Period! Have you had any experience with Baking Soda and Coconut Oil as I have read many many testimonials from others who have had great success and swear by it. I do think I will order some Curaderm for any future lesions so that I can nip them in the bud. Thanks very much for your response. Very much appreciated.

And hey....picking up cans isn't a bad idea to get exercise. I'll have to pass that idea along! Haha
Cheers, Anastasia

P.S. Oh Robert...just one more thing. You say you have done everything but Curaderm is the only way. Does that mean that none of the other ways were successful?

Anastasia,

Well you've certainly gone through you fair share with skin issues!

I'm going through mine also, diagnosed with a BCC in the upper lip (next to nose) area. I had the biopsy done early this summer. The dermatologist immediately said I'd have to have MOHS. He did warn me that I'd have significant scarring. Also said that he'd do the extraction, then a plastic surgeon would close the wound and fix the damage! Oh boy!!

Post biopsy, at a consultation, I asked the derm some questions after having done some research. He now tells me, or I got the feeling....he didn't really feel confident doing the extraction. He said because of location, he thought a plastic surgeon should just deal with the entire procedure. That was a clue to me....whatever, and whomever removed it, it sure was going to be a bigger circumference. Actually, I was glad he was upfront about this, so I have more info.

I also asked questions such as the healing time. Many of these docs make it sound too much like an in & out surgery, discounting all the post op wound healing aspect of keeping it free of infections with all the bandages etc., I really believe these people down play this aspect of the whole thing!

I was supposed to make an appointment with a plastic surgeon, which I didn't have the nerve to do, since I was already too depressed about the initial news from the derm.

I've since been treating it with ACV. Then I apply coconut oil. They both sting, but I feel as if it was doing something, drawing the poisons out of the BCC.

I have on ocassion used baking soda and coconut oil. That also seemed to draw something out. What I have noticed, is that the BCC does appear to have changed in color, lighter. I'm olive skinned. I have lots of moles, dark variety, and is one of the reasons I probably have the BCC, plus my share of sun exposure too.

Anway, I understand and can totally relate to how doctors tend to scare us, have poor chair side manners, and IMO, too eager to do this MOH's surgery! I mean, how many of these can one do on someone's face, for crying out loud! I have insurance. My feeling is, that if I didn't, possibly MOH's wouldn't be suggested.

I'm going to continue using the natural remedies. That whole idea about MOH's sounds too much like Russian Roulette if you ask me.

Stay strong, and let us know of any results/progress.

Anastasia,

I was wondering, do you wash the BCC/SCC with water and soap between your natural remedy applications? Reason I ask, is that when I was washing with water only, between my remedies.....the drying of the area was painful. It would become tight. What kind of soap do you use, if you don't mind me asking?

The derm was rather overzealous with the biopsy, so I have sensitivity there.

I have read other people posts about the tentacles.

What do they look like, and what color are they? I'd like to know what I'm looking for, so I know that all of it is coming o

Thank you for your other post, it was very detailed and informative.

ANASTASIA,,,,,,, yep, one was done be my natural doctor who is a Surgeon. He sent the sample off and the pathologist said he got it all. BS, as it came back and soon was as large as initially. I then treated my self with Curaderm and got it all. I have used two different Dermatologist and their lab checked it immediately and they kept cutting until it was clear.

My DNA is a mixed bag but basically Scot-Irish with a little Native American thrown in so I tan, but not well. I was also a life guard and played tournament and college tennis, thus my skin has been through the wringer. Gardening a lifetime has not helped. Anyway to get to my point. For pre cancerous stuff I use 5% Fluorouracil and it has done a good job over the years. It will actually take years off your appearance. If I catch a cancer early then I use Curaderm and if not, I use a Dermatologist. No way would I ever use a doctor that has to send the sample off. That was dumb on my part the first time. I recently treated a cancer on my shoulder and when gone, had my dermatologist check it. There was no cancer there.

What has me spooked is that my entire scalp under my hair is pre-cancerous. You can tell by the little bumps. My dermatologist says the Fluorouracil will get it, but I think I need to shave my head and may do that this winter.

Oh yeah, if the area is not a cancer then Curaderm will not cause it to form a scab. So it was not a Carcinoma. Curaderm will not address Melanoma. If I get Melanoma then I will find and go to the best in the world. Too many friends and kin that have bit the bullet after being treated by the so called best in Houston, Tx. They need to take down their shingle.

Excuse my usual rant, but as you can see....I've been down this trail a number of times. I also have internal cancer that I have been treating for a number of years. I go this Sept for my DNA test to tell me how I'm doing. Also, I appreciate your good attitude. You have to be a confident person.

Hi Margeaux,

I am so happy that you responded and are still following this thread. I was very much hoping to collaborate with someone who is going through the same thing I am and what treatments you are trying and what is working for you, etc.

It is very concerning that your Derm has found a new BCC on your lip and your description and his diagnosis of MOHs and how it would leave horrible scarring is certainly enough to cause alarm. As you know I am no doctor, but I have had experience with a lot of different treatments as I outlined in my original post. Here is what I would recommend to you because I know for certain that it works and is FDA approved and is available through prescription: Aldara

Have you heard of it? It definitely works and does not leave any scarring at all. It only takes about two to three weeks to completely cure and heal. It does scab up and can be somewhat painful, but not what I would call brutal by any means. When the scab comes off the skin where the cancer was is as smooth as a baby's butt and you would never know there was anything there. My skin on my cheek did lose some pigment but my derm told be I was over zealous in applying the med. I did get confused about it. It takes only a small teeny bit to work. If I were you I would ask my Derm about it. If it were any place but on your lip, which is a difficult place to perform surgery, I would say try one of these home remedies because they can and often do work. Still, it is a gamble and one I don't think you should take.

As for the BCC I am treating on my cheek I am happy to result it is looking much better and I feel that in one week or even less it may not even be noticeable that it was ever there. I was amazed at what a difference just a couple of days made.

Now I am going to your other comment to me to respond and tell you just exactly what I did and how I did it.

Thank you so much for your response and I am going to keep you in my thoughts and prayers for a good outcome and speedy recovery.

Cheers,

Anastasia

Hi again Margeaux...to continue,

Here is exactly what I did:

1 Mixed 1 part to 1 part Baking Soda (Armored Hammer) and
Pure unrefined Virgin Coconut Oil. I mixed it in a very small jar with a lid that held enough to last through the treatment. I made it into a paste much like toothpaste only maybe not quite so thick at first as the coconut oil tends to harden and each time I would have to rub the concoction with my finger to soften it up before applying. Heat works too but I found the friction from my fingers worked just fine.

2. I washed the area first with Ultra Gentle daily cleanser by Neutrogenia. At first I used only my fingers gently so as not to irritate or cause the BCC scab to bleed or become irritated any more than it already was.

3. I used my finger to liberally apply the salve to the spot and around it a bit so that it would be well covered. I then applied a small round bandaid to keep it from sliding down my cheek. I did this twice a day and at bedtime for the first week. Each time I would gently wash away the excess salve, which would become dry and somewhat crusty.

It did sting and sometimes throbbed. When the tentacle came out (I suppose that is what that was) it was whitish in color and thin in diameter. About the size of a thin string. That's the only way I know to describe it. It wasn't very long. There may have been more that came out and I didn't see them because they could have come out as I was washing the area.

4. After the second week I felt I could see improvement in that it was actually doing something and I felt that something was drawing out the cancer. It swelled up and looked yellowish and somewhat pussy. Sorry to be so gross but I know no other way to describe it. The unaffected skin around it where I had overlapped it was very extremely irritated and inflamed. It turned very red almost like a sunburn. I was worried that I had burned my skin and that caused me concern. But in my research I had read that this can be normal and that baking soda will not harm your skin, it is in fact very good for your skin. I continued to apply the baking soda/coconut salve two times daily and for one day I applied ACV as well but then I stopped because it didn't make sense to me to put something that is acidic on my skin when I was purposefully using an alkaline product to kill the cancer. So I stopped after using it one time.

5. Week 3 - I began to use a soft wash cloth to cleanse the spot on my cheek and the area immediately around it because it was very crusty and my fingers just didn't do the trick. I was still careful not to 'scrub' the spot where the cancer was. It was sore and slightly painful and would still sting when I applied the salve. I began to apply Polysporin at night only after my bedtime cleaning. Then one night I noticed it had a yellowish brown thin scabby looking something on it and I was careful not to rub on it too hard for fear it would bleed. I got depressed about this time and began to wonder if I was doing the right thing. That Robert guy who responded to my post didn't help me anyway when he said that Curaderm is the only thing that works. I know that isn't right because I have used Aldara and I know it works. Curaderm is made from eggplant and so it is a home remedy as well. And is very expensive. The cost isn't why I'm not using it however. It's because I have read testimonials from many people that baking soda/coconut oil salve does work. Baking soda is almost a 'wonder product' it is good for so many things. It is also used in the medical profession. Cancer patients who undergo radiation and chemo are given baking soda. Did you know that? My friend, whose husband is a doctor recently told me that. I hadn't heard it before.

6. I have stopped putting the baking soda mixture on for now to see what happens. As I said in my first response to you it is looking like it's gone and is in the healing process. This is right on my cheek and I'm so tired of it looking horrible I am praying this has gotten it. My hubby looked at it again tonight and he was amazed. He thinks I got it. It is a small flat place where the cancer was and it looks like it is not going to leave a scar and if it does it will be very minimal. It's slightly pink now. Not red and bleeding and scabby like it was when I had the cancer there. I'm still applying the Polysporin. It is supposed to be better than Neosporin because it helps to not scar. This is what a dermatologist told me when I had my first BCC removed.

So that's what I am doing and where I am now with my BCC. I am not depressed over it any longer because I feel it has done the trick. Now just waiting for it to completely heal. Then, if it does I will know for sure that I got it. If it should return I will do the treatment again.

I will keep you updated because I want to share my experience with you in the hopes it will help you as well.

Cheers and God Bless,
Anastasia

Hi Robert,

I wondered how you were doing. I get a kick out of your rants actually. I'm so glad you don't hold anything back. LOL Your history sounds a lot like mine when it comes to sun exposure or over exposure that is. I was a tow headed little blonde who spent her growing up years on the beach getting burned and then tan. I was on the swim team, the tennis team and the sailing team. I also rode in rodeos as I grew up on a ranch and broke and trained my own horses, put out round bales of hay for the cows and fixed many a mile of fence. Did I mention I hate barbed wire? I also fished on the stock ponds on the ranch and more sun. I guess I've earned my skin cancer you could say. Earned or deserved. One or the other or both. :)
You think you might have precancerous cells on your scalp. Wow! I hope that isn't the case and if so I hope you can head it off with preventative measures. What is this stuff you call 5% Fluorouracil? I've never heard of it before. I guess I will google it so that I am more educated.

I appreciate your response about the treatments you have had for your BCC and I am VERY DEEPLY sorry to hear that you also have internal cancer and wish you the very very best. :(

I'm not surprised that your other cancer came back after surgery as I have heard this can happen and know others it has happened to as well. I just hope I don'g have that happen on my skin graft on the bridge of my nose. I don't think I could go through that again.

I was specifically interested in knowing if you had tried any of these home remedies like the one I'm using now. The Baking Soda/Coconut Oil one. I'm having success with it....I think...I hope! I didn't know that Curaderm was made from Eggplant until after you recommended it and so I did some research. Like I said I will probably order it and if this doesn't work for me I'm going to use it or Aldara because I can't stand having this on my face. It is so depressing.

Yesterday was the first day I felt really good about what I was doing and felt I was being successful. Today is even better. I'm thinking it is definitely working.

Thanks again for your responses and valuable input. I do appreciate it very much.

Cheers,

Anastasia

Anastasia,

Thank you so much for your reply to my questions and again, for sharing in detail.

My BCC isn't right on the lip, but level with my nostril. Derms refer to this area as the upperlip.

I have heard of Aldara, read quite a bit about it. What I have read is that it has a tendency to scar. I think if I use any other protocol it will be the eggplant cream.

For now just with the applications of the coconut oil, ACV and occasional baking soda, exactly what you have described, especially your number four of what is being expelled is spot on.

I have even used coconut oil with vitamin c crystals.

You are right, that baking soda is anti-cancer since it is alkalinizing.

It is so good to find someone here that isn't afraid, and takes the time to go into great detail what to do and expect.

Thanks again,

Blessings to you too!

Dear Margeaux,

This is the very latest update. My other replies to you have not been published yet but I wanted to let you know the latest development.
This morning when I woke up there was a yellowish scab on my spot I have been treating. I did mention that I am now only putting Neosporin on it and have discontinued the baking soda/coco oil salve for now. I wondered if it was getting infected because of the color of the scab. As the day wore on the scab seemed to soften and get a bit larger. I left it alone until bedtime and when I washed my face, even though I was very careful, the scab came off. Under it was pink skin and a couple of very small (teeny) places that were bleeding. But not a lot. Only slightly. I rinsed them off with cold water until the bleeding stopped and patted dry with a kleenex and applied Neosporin. Looking at the spot with a magnifying glass I could tell it was very much smaller than before I began to treat it. And it is evening up in color and beginning to match the healthy skin around it. There isn't a hole in my face or anything like that. Before I started treating it I would estimate that the cancerous spot was about half the size of an english pea. It had a larger scab on it that would come off and bleed profusely and then scab over and the process repeated itself over and over.

This is not at all like that. This is like normal healing of a small wound. Also, I wanted to tell you that after reading Robert's latest post and thinking about your BCC on or near your lip, you might want to consider the Curaderm he says works so well. I do know that eggplant is supposed to be highly effective and this product is made from the eggplant. I wouldn't want you to experiment with your BCC and make it worse. I wouldn't have the surgery either after what you told me the surgeon said and with my first hand knowledge of MOHs surgery and how they just cut cut cut until they think they have it all. I will continue to keep you updated daily because I really want to help you as much as I can, with my limited knowledge. I do know the Aldara works. For sure. You might ask your Dermatologist about it and while you're at it ask him why he/she didn't tell you about it. But at any rate, I am not confident enough at this point to tell you that you should start the Baking Soda/Coconut Oil treatment. If this doesn't work for me I am going to try the Curaderm. At least that's my plan for now. I hate having this on my face and want it gone permanently and as soon as possible. Surgery is the quickest way but the scary thing is not knowing how much they will have to remove to get it all. I hate MOHs surgery. These doctors know there are other ways to kill the cancer without this highly invasive and expensive (thousands of dollars) surgery. Cancer is big business. I have become so distrustful of the medical profession and big pharma. Anyway, before I went to bed tonight I wanted to make sure I let you know my latest thoughts and the latest on my BCC I am treating.

I know that you have already begun a treatment with ACV and it may work for you. I hope whatever you are doing will help you heal completely.

More later.... God Bless

Anastasia, WOW!!! That's super great news! Quite interesting also what these natural remedies can do. Sure they take some time, and persistence on our parts, and as Robert Henry has said, reading, reading and reading again. But if we take our faith and courage into our own hands, instead of running off and becoming intimidated by the doctors, or our family members who only think allophathy has all the answers!! Anyway, so it looked bad before it got better? O.K., this is interesting even at an investigative level of checking what different products, and which ones are say antiseptic, antibacterial, or can prevent scars, like the Polysporin.

Many years ago I got a 3'd degree burn on my leg right in the front, calf level. It was bad, did it with hot oil, it was a rather big area. Faced with the fact that I was camping, in a foreign country on an island and that I would have to travel by taxi to the nearest medical facility, WOW, now that I think back that was scary. Thank the cosmos I had some friends there who knew what to do and help me. Anyway, we treated this burn with only iodine every day for several days, probably about 3 weeks. You can't imagine the trouble I had to take just to cover up this leg living on a campground. It was scary for sure, just the thought of infection. But then I was younger at that time, so you know when one is younger, somehow we think just everything is possible. But never the less, I went to great pains keeping the burn clean and covered. Basically I treated it too, out of dire necessity. I really didn't have the extra money to go to a medical facility either.

Do you know that after those treatments with nothing but iodine, just pouring each day over the burn, it started to heal and generate new skin? I was concerned about the scarring. There were fresh papayas being grown in nearby fields. When it was safe to do so, I applied fresh papaya. That is great for scarring. It honestly, I can say did not leave a scar whatsoever. That burn was nasty too, I'm positive had I not done that, it would have definitely scarred. I'm using that experience as my motivator over here. Oh I so understand the fact that you just want this gone, so do I. Right now.....this week I'm attending a social event. I was running around looking for those round bandaids, which for some reason I just couldn't find to cover up my BCC. I feel self conscious about the way it looks, since after the biopsy I have to contend with a pit of sorts where the derm took his damn sample!!! HAAH!! I kind of have to make some jokes about it, just to keep my spirits up. Do you know that some of these bandaid companies don't seem to make the round bandaids? IDK, Guess one has to special order those. Then I did found some round ones for kids, but guess what??? There yellow emojis, then there's some in a heart shape. HAAH! When I'm at home, really doesn't matter what bandaid I use, while I'm doing the treatments. I may just buy those heart shaped ones, just for fun??

O.K., Anastasia, we just have to keep doing what we're doing. After this social event I'm going to apply some iodine. I just didn't want to do it now, because iodine takes several days for the staining to disappear, but it's amazing for new skin regeneration so probably is good for scar prevention also. I have another remedy that I didn't use, and will probably write about it later. I'm doing some meditations for our healing, because I really feel that we have to believe it's going to happen for us. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, My friend! Much Love & Light, Margeaux

Hello dear Margeaux!

Your responses are always such a delight. We both share the same enthusiasm for allopathic medicine. I do love your sense of humour. I think you should wear the emoji happy face round bandaids to your event. You would be a hit! Remember when we were kids and loved to wear bandaids and casts? LOL My how vain we become as we get older.

Your story about the burn was interesting to me because burns have been known to heal psychologically. The body wants to be in a perfect state of health. It wants to heal itself if we would only let it.

My friend whose hubby is a medical doctor who practices natural medicine says that cancer is a fungus that feeds on sugar. She stays away from ALL sugar. It can't survive without sugar. You would think these doctors would tell us this but noooo....they wouldn't make any money if we knew that. Well, in all fairness to the practitioners I don't think they are taught this in med school and the pharm salespersons tell them what medicines they should push. Most doctors know very little about the prescriptions they write. They get kickbacks from many of them, especially the cancer drugs and anti-depressants. It's unbelievable what's going on in our medical industry...all the way around. Naturpaths are being murdered. Scary times.

But all conspiracies aside, we must continue to do what we can for ourselves and forums like this are a great place to share and learn. I think that being as honest as we can and as detailed as possible about what we are experiencing is the best way we can help one another. We are guinea pigs in a way. Squeak!!! :)

Here is my latest update:

As you know, I stopped applying the baking soda/coconut oil salve mix several days ago and began applying only polysporin at bedtime and a couple of time throughout the day just to keep it moist and protected. I have been wearing NO makeup to make sure I don't get any in the wound and avoid infection. It was pretty sore for a few days even when I felt it was healing nicely. I eased up on how rigorously I washed it after it bled a tad that one night. It has formed a small little scab which I have been careful not to disturb. It is very very very much smaller than the original BCC. The scab is about the size of a BB (the Red Ryder gun type of BB lol) Only it is flat and not round. And it isn't angry looking. The area around that was very irritated from the baking soda has peeled slightly and looks normal again. I am feeling hopeful again that this might have worked. My hubby thinks I should have treated it longer than three weeks but then he's not a female and it isn't on his face. lol He does think it looks like it might have worked however. He looks at it with a bright flashlight through a magnifying glass and gives me his analysis, describing in detail to me what he sees and perceives it to mean. He believes it is healing. So do I, with reservations.

Today I am going to begin putting ACV on it followed by coconut oil to speed up the healing process and help the skin to rejuvenate itself. I don't know exactly why I am going to do this but it feels right. I will still apply the neosporin at bedtime.

Thank you so much for your terrific reply. Yes, we do need to keep our sense of humour. Very important. God help us if we should ever lose that.

Cheers my new friend. God bless you in your healing.

I very much look forward to your next response.

Anastasia

Anastasia,

How you doing? So it's looking better and smaller? I notice that if you don't put anything on it a few days, it will scab over.

I have been leaving mine alone this week since I'm attending the conference. Just placing the bandaid on it. So it has dried up some. A day ago, after I showered, some of that came loose. I sure wish my husband was more supportive the way yours is. So I looked at what came off under magnified glass. It seemed to have some fibers there. They were very fine, but was almost wondering whether these could be the tentacles.

What I have noticed that if I stop applying the ACV, then reapply it feels as if it re-opens the area. I don't know if that makes any sense to you.

Even right now that I have only applied a little coconut oil during the day, when I'm not in public and by just using the bandaid this morning after pulling it off, noticed it had really drawn out a lot. It even is looking lighter in color, and mine is a very dark one.

Yes I do like and am interested in natural/homeopathic cures. I truly believe in them, especially after having gone through what I did with my poor dad when he was treated for colon cancer. It made me realize, when we must pull back, do some research, and hopefully move forward with our individual situations. I'm all for "Less is More."

During that time with dad's cancer I read quite a lot that sugar does feed it. Has much to do with a yeasty environment in our systems.

Anastasia, again great exchanging ideas and wish you the very best! Can't wait to hear what the ACV will do to your skin.

Margeaux, I'm not well versed in the differences. But I do know that the tincture stings. Probably the alcohol. I'm now doing Lugols on a suspicious little bump. It does cause an itch. But since my motto is "low and slow", I wait a few days for the itch to subside before I put more Lugols. During those days I calm it with coconut oil or olive.

Margeaux Hello!

That's all so interesting about your BCC and the reactions to leaving it alone a few days and how you pull the bandaid off and see some fiber looking things, etc. I'm not surprised that the ACV makes it flare up a bit. I actually decided not to use the ACV because I feared it would do exactly that. I'm glad I didn't. That's not the only reason, however. I decided that I wanted to know for sure what made it go away if indeed it does. And so I decided to stick with only the baking soda/ coconut oil mix applied 3 times daily for three weeks and then polysporin at night. I actually have switched from polysporin to Bacitracin as that's what my doctor had me use when I had the skin graft on my nose and I had some left so I am using that now instead.

Margeaux...I am excited to report that it is looking very much better and has stopped bleeding when I wash it (still being gentle) and is very very small now with only a slight scab on it. I am almost afraid to say I think it has worked but I'm feeling much more optimistic the last couple of days and especially today. I wanted to make sure I knew what worked and if it was the baking soda/coconut oil. So that's all I have used.

I only used the bandaids for about a week during the most angry phase when it was coming out and oozing strange stuff. lol I do think it was drawing out the cancer.

I'm so sorry to hear your dad had colon cancer. I think doctors look for things. I refuse to have colonoscopies and mammograms. I will never ever have chemo or radiation. I think that's what kills you. Sorry if my choice of words here makes you feel bad. I'm very sorry about your dad.

I think they (allopathic doctors) could take any healthy person off the street and find something wrong with them if they look hard enough. I have become so cynical.

Well, that's my update. Looking good. Looking so much better. I will be so happy when this little scab finally comes off and it heals over completely....if it does. I'll update again tomorrow.

Thanks so much for sharing. I am still wondering why you are using iodine on your BCC. I know it helped your burn but these BCCs are a fungus so they probably respond differently. But if it has worked on others it's worth a try. I will be anxious to hear the results.

All the best to you dear friend. Cheers and God Bless!

Hello Margeaux,

Friday night update:

Amazing! My BCC is basically GONE. There is only one teeny weeny little scab left about the size of a flea. I don't want to pull it off I want it to fall off naturally because I am afraid it might bleed if I mess around with it. All the rest of the skin where the BCC looks like it is still in the stages of healing but appears to be cancer free. It is barely noticeable now (except to me of course) and while I think it might leave some kind of very small scar (minor) I do not think anyone will know it is there but me. At this stage I am still washing it twice a day, morning and night, and applying the Bacitracin ointment. I am using a wash cloth and very very gently using it to wash over the area in an effort to help the scab dissolve or whatever it is that scabs do when they don't just fall off. But I'm being careful not to cause it to bleed. And I do not scrub. I think I got it, Margeaux. I really do. I will know more in the next couple of days and hopefully it won't come back ever. The other spots I was treating (two on my chest) have basically gone away as well. I'm really amazed and so very grateful that I didn't let the dermatologist have her way with them. I only wish I had known about this treatment before I had the MOHs and skin graft done on the bridge of my nose.

I hope your week has been enjoyable and that your BCC is going away. Looking forward to hearing more from you soon.

Anastasia,

That is more than great news! Persistence! I know what you mean, by feeling a bit reluctant to feel so optimistic, but definitely enjoy, that's normal. I've often felt rather bummed, then something different happens to make me feel better. It's a process for sure!

Oh Anastasia, I share your sentiments about those horrible colonoscopies, etc.

I was doing my medical stuff just last few mos., and is when I finally saw the derm for the BCC. I also got a mammo. Interesting also....after the mammo....BCC looked as if it grew and became more prominent. The radiation from the mammo isn't the greatest thing for skin cancer, I read later, or for the body for that matter. No you don't offend me in the least about your opinion regarding these exams. I feel the same way, and am not always on board with them.

There's a doctor named Tullio Simoncini. He's done a lot of research regarding the use of iodine for cancer.

Anastasia, I can't tell you how happy I am for you.

Much Love & Light,

Margeaux,

There you are! I have been hoping to see you today. More good news. The remaining little piece of scab from my BCC vanished sometime yesterday and without bleeding. The skin where the BCC was in now smooth and pink but appears to have healed over without any kind of scab. There is a slight indenture but not much at all. I keep thinking it's gone. It really did work. It's gone. But then my subconscious keeps remembering that ONLY doctors and MOHs surgery can get rid of these things. I am SO programmed to allopathic remedies. Just as they want me to be. I must de-program myself so that I believe in myself and my own abilities to heal myself. I know the body wants to be in a perfect state of health. When I think back, it's the doctors who have caused me to be in such a vulnerable state to begin with. If the derm hadn't given me radiation for my acne when I was a teenager I wouldn't be so susceptible to skin cancer now. I remember that doctor so well. His name was Dr. Lemke and I went to school with his daughter. She was basically bald. A lovely young girl whose looks and confidence was basically destroyed by what had happened to her hair. I recall a conversation with her once about it and she said that she had ringworms on her head. I fear that her father gave her radiation to treat them and that's why her hair was gone. Only a few wisps here and there. It was so sad. All this 'power' over our bodies in the hands of mere 'men' who consider themselves Gods! Oh dear...forgive me for being so cynical this day but it really does get my adrenaline going when I think of all the things we (especially us women) have been put through. I don't think they do things like this to men very often. Or young boys. And for sure no man would ever get a mammogram. I once told my male doctor I would get a mammogram when he had his you know what squeezed by one of those things. He stopped asking me to get them after that. I believe they cause cancer. That kind of trauma is not natural. One day it will be outlawed and will be looked back on as one of the more barbaric things that women were subjected to.

But on to my 'today's update' on my BCC -

I do think it's gone now. I am going to begin a new treatment on it to help prevent it from leaving a scar. At present it is only that somewhat dark pink color that remains once a scab has fallen off a wound, much like one from a burn. I am going to rub Mederma scar gel on it each night to help it return to it's natural state as much as possible. I am so grateful to this site and to you for your help and knowledge and encouragement. It does itch slightly from time to time and hubby, who is very smart, tells me he thinks it might still be healing from the inside. It did have something come out of it, something with a tenticle or root or core. Whatever it is called. And so I suppose it would be natural for it to need to heal there as well.

I wanted to keep you informed and to let you know of my success to encourage you as well. What state is your BCC in at present? Are you still using the iodine and if so what else are you doing? I pray you will be successful.

Cheers and God Bless,

Anastasia

Mmsg,

Good morning, well it's morning here where I live.

I was reading about iodine. Many do contain more alcohol, and it seemed as if Lugols doesn't contain as much. Thank so much for pointing that out. I'll let you know what is happening once I start to use it. I really have high hopes, since it worked so well for my burn years ago.

Happy Sunday Mmsg!

Anastasia,

How are you? Isn't it interesting the healing stages? I remember that with the burn I wrote about.

It is said that when you have a bruise, cut thats healing, it will itch, and thats definitely a sign it is still healing. So your husband is on to something here.

That is so true what you told your doctor about mammograms. Bold statement to him might I add. You are not being cynical. We who question these tests and who are bold enough to speak up against them are subject to criticism don't forget.

My husband has been on statin drugs for a very long time for cholesterol. He's of the belief that doctors care is thee only way. He eats lots of cheese, and is a big sugar fanatic. I try to keep or diet on the clean side, but I'm never going to become some hovering wife about what he should avoid if he wants to keep the cholesterol in check. Well, recently, he went to an appointment and decided he wanted to go off the statins. He feels he's getting some muscle weakness at times, sometimes a side effect of statins. He's not a fan of any kind of exercise, I do most of the physical housework. So you see now he's been two weeks off statins, w/o putting in his own effort changing some lifestyle habits. We'll see. Its about being proactive, if we don't want to go down the usual route.

That also takes more committment!

Your BCC is really healing!

We are programmed into constant self doubt! WHY?

Because there's a mob out there (not only medical community) that would have one think there's only one way to go when it comes to our health!

My BCC has been going through some changes. As I told you that last week I just had a bandaid, didn't do as much treatment since I was at the conference. Now that its over I'll be treating it once more. I think though, now I'm going to start the iodine, haven't started that treatment as of yet.

After the biopsy, mine was left with a pit. The derm was rather overzealous. Mine is very dark, (almost blue/black) in color. I have many moles, they are of this color. But since treatments w/ACV and coconut oil, it has lightened up, but still needs a way to go, if you know what I mean. As we know this is by no means something that disappears in a matter of weeks.

I certainly hope though that yours is finally gone! Just keep an eye on it. Thank you so much for your concern and helpful info., also Anastasia. Please keep us posted.

Much Love & plenty of Light,

Anastasia,

How are you? I was wondering if you had ceased the treatments of your BCC?

How does it look now?

Well as I posted that I'd ceased my treatments a couple weeks ago, since I had to be involved in public for a whole week. I just wore a bandaid over it. What I noticed the week after that which is when I once again resumed ACV and coconut oil applications is that it appeared to have kind of closed up. That week I was only wearing the bandaid, it was oozing somewhat, something rather thick, sticky. Not to gross anyone out, just want some info. But after I've been treating again which is now about 8 days....very little in terms of it detoxing the BCC. This is why I'm suspecting, that once we cease treatment, maybe it closes up? IDK, but maybe now I need to change it up and start the iodine, too.

O.K., Anastasia I was just checking in to see what was going on with you.

Hi,

I have a diagnosed BCC on my upper eyelid. Mohs surgery is scheduled in 4 days, with a plastic surgeon and occular plastic surgeon to follow. Something I really would like to avoid.

I have been using Salicinium orally (natural substance approved by the State of Nevada Board of Homeopathic Medical Examiners) since April and my BCC has shrunk about 3/4's. Topically I have been using GSE grapefuit seed extract-its an OTC-anti-viral, bacterial, fungicide etc.) it is used overseas in some countries as a treatment for BCC, TrueScience Skin Cream (an OTC with Protandim Nrf2 activation technologies- clinical studies/review articles available on www.pubmed.gov on Protandim), and frankincens around the eye socket and on the roof of my mouth.

I also went sugar free in my diet 6 months ago and I am drinking green drinks at least once a day. Most of my food is organic and am vegetarian. Use natural cleaning and personal care products. I also drink 8-10 cups of pHenomenal Alkaline water daily. So I am trying everything I know. (I too have been in the sun every day of my life from mountain climbing, to snow sports, surfing, gardening etc. I also have been severely exposed to petroleum leakes twice, etc)

Except Curaderm--I have been very cautious to try it as the BCC is right over my eye on the eyelid, and have been concered about it possible going through my eyelid into my eye or otherwise burning my eye and damaging my eyesight. I was wondering if you have any experience using Curaderm on an upper eyelid??

Thank you. Nancy

Anastasia,

Are you still visiting this thread by any chance? I was wondering how your BCC is now. Sure hope it finally went away!

Well I feel as if I have hit somewhat of a brick wall with mine. I have still been alternating ACV and coconut oil. But remember I had taken a week off. It scabbed over. When I started reapplying treatments, it doesn't draw as much out as it once did.

It is still there, as I can see it but appears to be deeper in layers of the skin. I have felt frustrated and bummed by this!! Oh well....maybe time to try the iodine, haven't tried that yet.

Hi Nancy,

Wow, a BBC on the eyelid - the thought of such a place never occurred to me. I would be very wary of putting anything that could chase something to the core on such a place as it could do just that - go right through and possibly... more probably damage your eye. Also I would try to avoid the surgery and do what you are doing from the inside - they want to cut my ear off lol....no way!! The biggest thing is - don't be scared of it or the scare tactics used by the medical profession... if it is shrinking, then carry on with what you are doing - let me know how you get on.

Cheers, Keith.

Hi Nancy,

This is very interesting using Salicinium. Your BCC obviously is in a delicate place, so lots of care is to be considered, no doubt.

When I was first diagnosed with mine back in June, located in upper lip area next to my nose....Moh's was the suggestion by the derm. I'm so glad I came to Earth Clinic, and since have been treating with ACV and coconut oil mostly. In my search on the internet I'd read about people having to deal with BCC's on the eyelid, and there are some natural remedies that do work for them. Just trust, and it does sound as if what you are using is working. One just has to be persistent, not give up!!

Wish you well and the best,

In trying to do all natural (and having multiple chemical sensitivities), I wasn't pleased that the PA said to use vaseline (a petroleum product)...I developed an allergic reaction to the bandaid adhesive resulting in a rash & hives...That was 9 days ago...and still itching. I'm thinking I could try the coconut oil now?

Hi Rob,

It does sound very strange that the use of vaseline would be recommended to you. I've read doing some searches that people are told to use vaseline, to keep the area moist and preventing it from drying up. But vaseline is petroleum. Then bandaids have plastic in them, so one can understand someone such as yourself becoming allergic. I believe that the coconut oil would be safe. Its antibacterial/antifungal, no added chemicals. I've been using it on my BCC for last few months, and have had no problems concerning itching. Possibly try a little and if it doesn't cause a reaction, then you can apply more as needed.

Hello Margeaux!

I am so sorry I have taken so long to get back to this thread to report my progress with the BCC on my cheek. I am happy to be able to respond that the BCC I treated with the Baking Soda has not returned to date. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it never will. The spot where it was is somewhat rough but seems to be getting better with time. It has not opened up and has stayed completely closed. It is still slightly pinkish where it was but that also seems to be improving. I have been very careful when I wash my face not to scrub too hard on the area where it was. I did use a homemade sugar scrub on my face a couple of days ago to exfoliate and it doesn't seem to have had any affect on it, which I am also happy to report.

I recently saw my Primary Care Physician and told her about how I had made my BCC go away with the Baking Soda. She seemed unimpressed and uninterested and told me to keep a watch on it. How surprising! They really don't want us to be able to cure ourselves do they? I'm very put out with my doctor at the moment. I think I'm getting more and more put out with all of them. They seem to want us to be sick. Always looking for things wrong with us even when we have no symptoms. I have lost all faith in doctors, while I am hopeful there might be a few good ones left...maybe.

I'm sorry to hear that you are still having to deal with the BCC over your lip and hope that maybe by now you might have had more success. Again I apologize very much for the late reply.

To reiterate what I did with my BCC, for others who may read this, I started off with a BCC on my left cheek that evolved into a gaping wound that would bleed and never heal over. It was about the size of half a green pea when I began treatment. I used a mixture of Baking Soda and Coconut Oil (half and half) that I applied to the affected area 3 times daily for approximately one and one half week. It reacted quite angrily to the treatment and became quite red and irritated and stung quite a bit. During that time it went through several changes, one of which was that it seemed to ooze out something that resembled a core of sorts with a string like tail on it, which I think might have been a root or whatever they call those tentacles that BCCs have. When I discontinued the Baking Soda and Coconut Oil I applied Polysporin Antibiotic Ointment to keep it from getting infected. It did scab up and I was careful not to pull it off. It took about a week for the scab to completely fall off with me gently washing my face daily with Neutrogena Sensitive skin facial wash.

So now this is where I am at. I hope it doesn't come back. If it does I will order Curaderm and use that as Robert recommended. I am praying it doesn't come back.

Margeaux, I pray your BCC has gone away and that whatever treatment you are currently using is working for you. I know we can heal ourselves. It is certainly worth a try. Anything is better than surgery.

Love and God Bless,

Anastasia

Anastasia,

So good to hear from you! Oh I totally understand when posters move on and don't check this thread. But I was really curious about your BCC, not to mention some additional things I wanted to ask about and share.

First of all I'm so happy that yours appears to continue to heal. Did those tentacles have a particular color to them?

It's taken me something like three weeks for mine to finally open up after having used ACV & coconut oil. What I've noticed, it began to sting again as it did when I initially started this protocol. It even became sore a perimeter around the actual BCC, and finally started to weep something out of it, when I apply the coconut oil overnight. I have felt something strange like these prickly hairs on the BCC, when I've washed it with water, but not sure its the tentacle thing.

I'm just basically not stopping the treatments even though I was becoming frustrated when nothing seemed to be happening. Patience!

That doesn't surprise me in the least what you said about the doctor's lack of reaction, and exactly why I never tell them what I'm doing.

My husband, who has way more faith in doctors recently has been undergoing treatment for lumbar spine stuff. A physical therapist he has been seeing was doing adjustments, having him do some walking on a treadmill of sorts. Now the therapist wants to do prolotherapy, which is some injections to the area. They say this would speed up the healing process. Well guess what, looks as if hubby....who has such die hard belief system in allopathic medicine is putting this off. I haven't asked him, but I believe he's become chicken to do this part of the treatment, which I don't blame him for feeling that, either. So that for me is rather interesting, since he was all too encouraging for me to go ahead and have the moh's surgery for my issue. In essence I guess he feels he can pick and choose what he wants done to his body right?? NO WAY!! I have the same rights!!

Anastasia, I do believe in natural healing, and this belief system needs to start with the person seeking healing. We really cannot rely on people around us, or at least that is what I think since my partner, hasn't really given me that kind of moral support. Doctors won't give it to us, or I doubt many would.

O.K., Anastasia thank you so much for checking in. Please I hope you do it in the future, if for no other reason to keep us updated on how your BCC is progressing and continuing to heal.

Blessings to you my friend,

Margeaux

Hi Anastasia,

I don't know if you're checking in here anymore.

How are you doing these days, I hope well!

I'm still dealing with the BCC situation. I was wondering when you used the ACV, if you used raw & unpasteurized brand. I've been using one that says unfiltered, but pasteurized.

I was reading on the net today, and some people who were treating w/ACV, mentioned it being important to use only the unpasteurized variety. Here I've been using the one I had, and wondered about it of course.

O.K., take care where ever you are, and kind of miss exchanging ideas.

I am trying to save from surgery since I have already had 4 surgeries on the nose and the skin is too thin because it has skin graft on it already. so I am using these recommended therapy.

My husband had one on his nose - he accidently knocked it off and it grew back worse, so we alternated between ACV and CBD balm. It crusted up like a horn, then he touched it and it fell off - bled a bit. It doesn't really seem to be growing back so we're still putting CBD balm, and my daughter made up some absorbic acid and aloe vera paste. Touch wood it doesn't seem to be growing. He was referred to a dermatologist, for which we have to wait up to 6 months for an appointment, and I'm hoping it will be totally gone by the time he goes to see one.

Caroline,

Good for you that you are using the ACV & hydrogen peroxide. I'm assuming that your's appeared on your nose? Mohs surgery is way more dramatic than these surgeons will actually admit to.

I was also told that I'd have to have Mohs for a BCC in the lip area by my nose. When I began to research this & all the details I'd just rather skip here, I decided against it. The more I've read, Im inclined to believe that it's an easy way for dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons to line their pockets.

Anyway, I wish you all the best in your choice of treatments, and do come back if you've any questions.

Eggplant and white vinegar. Google eggplant and vinegar for skin cancer. All you do is chop up eggplant, put it in a glass jar, cover it with white vinegar. Put it in the fridge. Shake it each time you go into fridge. After 3 days the vinegar should turn a brown color like ACV. When it changes color it's ready to use. Soak a cotton ball with the vinegar solution and saturate the BCC. You can also tape a saturated cotton ball over it and leave it on overnight. Mine only took 3 days to scab over and heal completely but it was small and fairly new. Scab fell off in shower and I had no scar. Don't know if it works for everybody but I'm a believer.

Hi Della, I'm so glad that someone is still checking into this thread for BCC's and ideas. So the homemade eggplant worked for you? I've been dealing with mine since June of 2017. Unfortunately, mine became a bit bigger than yours, I'm sure. Recently, I've been a bit frustrated with the progress of mine too. After having done ACV, coconut oil, even tried the vitamin C crystal thing w/water. At first the ACV & coconut oil seemed to be doing something, or at least drawing the poisons out of the BCC. More recently, it hasn't worked as well. Because of this, and gee......sometimes I feel like I just do not have the time it constantly takes to be applying whatever to my face. I know it's the sheer frustration of it all. It also is because recently I've been dealing w/a sinus infection, so kind of took my attn. away from BCC issues. Well, it's back to the drawing board, and I'm going to try the eggplant remedy now. Thanks so much Della for telling us about your experience with it, It is motivating, which is what I need. Hello,

I am beginning to feel optimistic reading through all the personal stories. I have a basal cell on the side of my nose for 2 yrs now, it somehow got triggered by a facial, I received with excessive squeezing around my nose. I have been using different salves to heal it. Today I decided to get it checked and my worst fear was heard ... surgical removal. My feelings are not in favor of surgery, I have always been the alternative healing kind of a woman. I recently had a few Halotherapy sessions ( salt caves) that seemed to have made this area on my nose heal a little. I had a small mole on my ankle that seems drier or scaly maybe its shedding off the layers? The doctor didnt seem to think this was worth doing more .... I am not giving up on alternative healing & my faith.

Are you still visiting this thread by any chance? I was wondering how your BCC is now. Reading the posts above I was drawn to use bicarb and coconut oil for my BCC as you did. Mine was on my scalp the size of a US penny and had been there a couple of years and just started getting a little bigger recently. Rejected the allopathic's knife which she said needed to be done ASAP. After 3 weeks of once a day treatment and covered 24/7 it's still oozing on my pillow at night so I think the bandaid keeps it open which is a good thing. Once a day I shower and gently apply antibacterial wash to the area before I take the bandaid off. If I don't wet the bandaid it would pull off a lot of stuff which doesn't seem right. It's looking smaller but the treatment is feeling a little too passive so I may start doing it twice a day. Cheers, Andrew

I have had a growth on my forehead near my hairline for years. I could hide it with the way my hair falls but was always conscious of it in the wind or when in the water. It started as a small bump but changed size and color a bit and was creeping down my forehead. I had another skin colored, round bump on the other side of my forehead that I couldn't hide but didn't mind so much. Then it started to get larger. So off to the web. I found this site, read all the way through and decided to try using acv. My co-workers thought I was nuts because I was self diagnosing but I figured I would try this first before going to a practitioner. I just want to say, "Thank you! " Both of my bumps are gone. It took a few weeks of regular attention but for me it worked! After the initial attack of Apple Cider Vinegar I switched to Hydrogen peroxide because it felt more gentle to my skin. I'm fair skinned, 50, female.

Hi, I taped a piece of Apple Cider Vinegar saturated cotton ball to my forehead at night before bed and kept it on all night for about a week. It did sting and hurt but it is doing its job. On my days off from work I would dab more Apple Cider Vinegar on during the day when I thought of it. Once the area started to change colors and it seemed like the skin was getting too irritated I stopped applying the cotton ball at night. I put a band aid over the area during the day so people wouldn't be uncomfortable. All in all it was about 3.5-4 weeks.

Instead of conveying gratitude that a natural cost effective treatment shows promise in treating bcc, you focus on your perceived intellectual corner on the market... please share "evidence" these treatments don't cure cancer, the medical community has lost its ability to "speak" the truth into existence...

She didn't self-diagnose, but she found a remedy that successfully worked for whatever she had. As dermatologist, I realize this doesn't support your livelihood, and I fully understand why you would want to discourage this, but it sure doesn't make you right. All of these remedies most definitely can and do kill cancer. The poisons that the medical industry peddles cause cancer and kill people. Becoming empowered and educated to take back your health into your own hands, and to quit falling for the lies of an industry that really only cares about protecting its profits is the best thing any one individual can do for their health and quality of life.

You are not my dermatologist. I'd fire you.

AMEN! I had traumatic Moh's surgery (was recalled 6 times) eleven years ago that left an ugly scar above my lip after plastic surgery to sew up a hole the size of a dime. I was scared into doing this treatment as quickly as possible even though it was a basal cell carcinoma that most likely wouldn't spread and I regret it now. About a year ago I had a recurrence at the same site, along the scar! I saw a different dermatologist than before, and he told me that this scenario is quite common. UnBelIEVable.

After stressing out about having to have Moh's surgery again - which was not fun and took quite a long time to heal - I found Earthclinic and immediately started using ACV on the site. After a couple of days, a few pin-holes opened up next to the area I applied it to and eventually a little white stuff came out with a little applied pressure, after which the holes filled in and completely healed so that you would never know there was a recurrence.

My derm (who is young and fairly hip) was amazed, but felt he had to 'officially' continue to recommend Moh's surgery, just to cover his ass. Repeated visits have confirmed no recurrence. MY question is, why aren't these 'Dr.'s' running through the streets shouting "we have the cure for cancer! " -at least skin cancer : )

KK,

I'm so glad that you found Earthclinic. There's so much great information here.

Well you certainly have gone through a lot with this condition!

I'm currently treating a mole type one on the face just next to my nose. Had the biopsy 2 wks. ago. I have an appointment with the derm on Jul. 11th. He already told me it looks like a BCC, and was already with his rap to me about MOH'S then some additional plastic surgery. I've been treating mine since the biopsy w/ACV and coconut oil. It definitely is releasing something to applied area.

I'm really somewhat concerned about this appointment coming up, as I feel the derm is going to do his hard sell about the surgery. I'm sure they don't go shouting out in the streets about natural cures, because that wouldn't line their pockets!

I wish you well with your protocol you are following, and thanks for posting your experience, it really helps me.

Just wanted to add, there are chemo creams available. the one I have does work. but $$$$ out of pocket.

I only use my $200+ US for 4oz tube. I use this in areas that is hard to treat with my homemade pastes.

I have used ACV + baking soda + C. oil. other items and times are bentonite clay, paint with lugol's iodine, turmeric.

There is pain with using these items, and it takes time. one must inspect ones body for new flares-ups.

Is it a bug bite or a BBC? It's an everyday chore.

I have many dermatologists cut chunks of flesh from my body. I am covered with pre-cancers. cut in one spot and more will show next to the removed flesh.

I fight skin problems externally and internally.

Thanks Earth Clinic

Htownfarmer,

Do you find that using the Bentonite clay and iodine help? Before I knew what was on my face, I used Bentonite which seemed to make this mole problem area a bit more prominent.

Iodine is great! I once used it to treat an oil burn, (3'd degree) I got in a campsite. It healed very nicely, I couldn't believe it! This fact, encourages me to use the natural protocol.

Do the Lugols and turmeric stain your face? If it works, it's o.k.

Thanks,

Do you find that using the Bentonite clay and iodine help? I do not use together, they do not hurt is about all I can say.

I do not know about moles.

My assumed BBCs start out as a small spot, as I treat the area it does become much much larger and painful.

I mix the clay with Apple Cider Vinegar and carrier oil. lugols and turmeric will stain.

When I paint my left arm with lugols - two days straight. I can look at my arm and see "black heads" under the skin. I am guessing they are pre-cancers. they slowly come to the surface. little volcanoes is what I call them. which turn into little craters. which use to turn into large craters before I found Earth Clinic.

I do not know what to tell you about issues with your face. I tend to use my chemo cream on my face, neck and back areas when I notice SPOTS. but first I do try to make the immediate area inhospitable to whatever is there. throw the kitchen sink at it.

Good luck and keep reading.

Htownfarmer,

Thanks you so much for your reply.

I guess using some of the natural remedies brings things to the surface.

Well I was rather reluctant to use the ACV at first, given that I just had a biopsy done 2 wks. ago.

I've felt between a rock and a hard place since this derm was already pushing the Moh's surgery. I finally just said to myself, "What do you have to lose?" So started the ACV w/more gusto and the coconut oil.

I even have some dmso which I recently purchased to be used w/vitamin c crystals. The only thing is though.....I'm reading more about the dmso, as it acts as a transporter of whatever one uses, or is exposed through the skin. So I want to know a bit more about it before I use it.

Here's to our healing and courage!

Htownfarmer,

I was reading again through the reply you posted to me, and just wanted to answer your question. As far as treating the BCC, I have not really used either the Bentonite clay, nor idodine. I'd been using Bentonite some months ago, before I even knew this was a BCC. I thought what I had on my face was a very clogged pore, (blackheads). Now for whatever reason it was...thinking back it is possible the Bentonite drew the BCC more to the surface of my skin. In any case it looked more prominent, I do remember that. Still working with ACV, then also tried coconut w/baking soda yesterday.

How long does the iodine leave a stain on the skin. I'd like to try this, but since I'm dealing with my face, sometimes I wouldn't want traces of it even w/bandaid if I have to go out in public.

Anyway I wanted to answer these questions, since I know it could help others going through this.

Persistence!

I too agree the clay drew BCC to the surface. Mix acv, soda, and oil make paste, Use as often as you can, pain wise and looks. iodine stains probably for two days. Persistence is the key IMHO.

Htownfarmer,

How you doing? Yes, I keep applying the ACV. But I also tried doing some coconut oil w/baking soda the other day. Then I've found that by just applying the coconut oil, it is drawing something out of the area on my face. Yesterday when I removed the cotton soaked coconut oil, it appeared to have even removed something that looked like a thread. Interesting, since I've read that these skin cancers have tentacles. Not really sure it was that, but found it quite interesting.

Thanks for the info & encouragement!

I'm sorry, Dr., you are mistaken. I had a 2 millimeter basal cell in my cheek that was biopsied to confirm it was Basal cell, they recommended it to be cut out and I used Apple Cider Vinegar on it for 4 days and it just went away, that was 5 years ago, this was the type of Basal that did not have tentacles. I now find another spot that is larger in another location, so I am back to reading about other's experiences.

Kristen,

I'm a bit curious as to which post you were replying to, since you addressed a Dr., plus your post appeared just below my post. So you tried the ACV on your 2 mm BCC, I see. Yes, mine I guess was almost about the same size, and I've been treating it. The derm suggested Moh's, but I wasn't having it, after being told it would involve 2 separate surgeries!

Well what I can say after treating mine w/ACV and coconut oil, is that one has to just keep at it. I'm surprised that yours went away in 4 days, but that's good news. I've been at it going on something like three mos., now. It looks like it is getting a bit better, but still yet have more to go, and I'm just having to be persistent & patient!

I wish you the very best, and if you've any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Margeaux, read up on the petty spurge plant. If I do apply it's sap, leave plenty of healing time before applying a second time if needed. If it's a "live" bcc, the petty spurge will make it red and angry for a few hours or even days.

Mmsg,

How are you, and thanks for your suggestion about the petty surge. You must be intuitive Mmsg!

My BCC hadn't been doing anything, despite my applying the ACV & coconut oil. In other words, this isn't drawing anything out, and it is still there in the layers of the skin.

Today I tried to change it up a bit. I'm applying the vitamin c crystals just dissolved in water.

I have read about petty surge and it does sound rather aggressive, so I'm kind of chicken to try this one. I was also reading one of your posts about using the iodine, had wanted to try that, but from your post you mentioned that it scabbed, which means it closed up? That's what I'm experiencing right now. Mine has closed up, even though its still there. I feel it needs to be opened up again, so all of it will finally be gone.

I also have some DMSO I haven't used yet with the vitamin c crystals. After reading more on DMSO, I felt just a bit reluctant. Now that really has a delivery system into the skin. But w/that, one has to proceed also with caution.

Anyway, thanks again, and I hope your protocols are working for you.

Mmsg,

O.K., I searched for your post that I had mentioned in my previous post, and it was from 2014. You mentioned using vitamin c crystals with water. How did you measure out the vitamin c to the water? Many people will give ratios of one part vit. c, to 8 parts water. What does this mean? One teaspoon to ozs., which would come to 1 cup water, or tablespoon?

After having a cotton w/vit. C & water on for over an hour, there's a feeling as if the solution is trying to break through to the BCC, and I'm hoping that it does. My BCC has also been rather itchy lately, is this normal?

Did you ever try the pancreatin by any chance someone suggested that you try?

Margeaux, I never measured vitamin c. Just dabbed a wet finger in the crystals and applied. But that was too painful so I switched to petty spurge sap. It inflamed it more so I gave in and had it cut out. I didn't know then that with petty spurge it looks worse before it gets better. Also, I was applying often and I now learned that once a week or less is best.

I guess I must have read incorrectly, or maybe someone really diluted their vitamin c crystals. Later yesterday, I found more info. that said to just make a paste out of it.

No, Margeaux, plain surgery which I was assured would take just a short while and would leave minimal scarring. Well, that "butcher" took 3/4 of an hour and left me an impressive Frankenstein scar in middle of my forehead! At least he assured me that "they got it all out". It was malignant, he said.

The scar HAS lightened up after a year, and I tell m'self it makes me look like a toughy!

I hope never to need to go down that road again, as ORH would say. I wonder where he is.

Mmsg,

Yes, well I guess whatever surgery one has even if it's not Mohs, there is bound to be a certain amount of scarring. This made me laugh Mmsg, and not in a mean way at all, only because I related when you said you've told yourself the scar "makes me look like a toughy." When I was still under the spell of the opinion of the derm w/Moh's, I thought the very same thing, knowing full well that I was going to have a scar. Also since some very nosy people kept asking what that was on my face! Thank you for answering this.

So again this BCC has basically become stubborn on me. Still there and obviously there's a need to go deeper into the layers of the skin. My usual protocol seems not to be as productive, ACV and coconut oil for now.

I still have yet to give the vitamin c crystals more time. I was re-reading posts, and may just try doing a Bentonite clay mask. I did this about a year ago when this thing was at a smaller stage. I must say, it did bring it more to surface of the skin or made it more prominent, which to me is proof that the clay draws it out.

Yes I've noticed that Robert hasn't posted, hope he is well.

Thank you again for sharing some good information!

Mmsg, Are you still out there? So I tried the ACV for about nine days. It was stinging, just as it had when I first began that protocol. The perimeter of the BCC appeared to grow, just a bit and become irritated. When this happened, (which really hadn't previously), I became just a tad scared. So I backed off w/ACV, for a bit after that. I went back to the coconut oil, but neither the coconut oil, nor the ACV seem to be pulling anything out anymore. To be quite honest......after this and having to deal with it now for 5 mos., I just placed a bandaid over it, and kind of not focused on it for a few days. Yes, just getting tired of dealing with this, basically. Back to the drawing board......so today I've mixed up coconut oil w/vitamin c crystals, and am going to see what that may do. I'm hoping that I can still attack it, because I definitely know there is still something there, although it has changed, since I started the treatments. What I've noticed also.....is that on the perimeter of the BCC there are these small bumps, I can feel them. Is that normal? Sometimes when I'm washing the area w/water after a treatment, I also feel these prickly hairs on it, especially on those bumps. I am going to go get some of the iodine now, but I'm not going to over do that, since I read your post about how it will close up with that treatment. O.K., I hope you are doing well and hanging in there, Margeaux

Mmsg,

How is it going for you? I hope all is well. It's been quite some time since I last posted here, and just wanted to know what's going on in BCC land.

To be quite honest, since I last posted I've become rather really tired of having to deal with my BCC. I became busy with other things in my life, and rather focused on those things, rather than my treatment. I continued to apply my coconut oil, and then ACV as before. But I can really see the BCC seems to have closed up. I have been rather on the fed up side of dealing with it too if you know what I mean, and just would place a bandaid over the damn thing, when I go out, and so that I don't have to see it. Taking a look at it today, in some way it looks a bit as if it is spreading. Not too much, but ugghh! Anyway, rather a bummer situation isn't it!!

O.K. but I'm going to really get serious about it again, not give in or up. I guess I'm really going to have to try some other method. Maybe it is time to order the eggplant cream.

Mmsg,

Thanks so much for your prompt reply! Today, I tried the ACV again, and for the first time in weeks started to feel that sting I used to feel on the BCC when I first started using it. I admit, that I have been feeling kind of stuck with this whole process. But I'm going to give it a go again, and change a few things as to how I'm treating it to see what happens. I certainly can relate, about the caving in to a certain degree, when you said you decided to have the surgery, and I thought that for a minute the other day. I do get a bit on the weary side, when I do not see enough progress....then fearing especially people around me, like my mate is going to start to pressure me to have the surgery after all, and I so don't want to go there, even if I'm frustrated about this. Anyway, thanks so much for your support.

Really appreciate it!
