I recently had a run in with boils appearing on my backside. It was new to me, I had never had a boil in my life before this. I tried all the traditional cures I could find and eventually stumbled upon your website, and started to use Turmeric with great success. Looking back on my lifestyle changes over the last few months I noted that I had been eating high fat greasy foods and during lunch and after work had been having mixed drinks with the mixer being coke, club soda etc. I stopped drinking the alcohol and soda and began consuming large amounts of water and taking turmeric and the boils went away. (oh a side note, I see contrails everyday in the skies above my town) Just as an experiment I went back to my unhealthy consumption and the boils came back...

Turmeric has been helpful for asthma, boils, and for infections. Twice this year my son had an infection on his foot or ankle. I applied turmeric ointment (turmeric mixed in coconut oil) and this was helpful - But he got better VERY quickly when I gave him a turmeric drink, as well. It seems very good to get the turmeric circulating in the blood stream to fight an infection. The ointment worked very well on a small skin problem of my own - a very small boil or something...

When I found this website, I was suffering with a large boil on my forehead at the hairline. It appeared to be growing and my entire forehead, eye area and cheeks became inflamed. I went to the emergency room and they gave me the standard antibiotic treatment. The inflammation in my face subsided, but the boil itself wasn't changing much and it appeared to be "growing" another smaller one beneath it!. That's when I RAN to GNC and bought some turmeric pills. I took 4 over the course of 6 hours, woke up the next day and the boil had diminished to 1/2. By noon, the smaller 2nd boil wasn't even noticeable! I am continuing use at this time but as many others reported here, THANKFUL for any homeopathic remedy! And, I like the scent of the spice. :)

I went to the Dr. after having pulled a eyebrow hair. It became infected within hours. By the next morning one eye was almost shut and the pressure in my forehead was tremendous. He put me on Doxycycline and bactroban ointment. My face swelled down to my mouth. After two weeks of antibiotic...and it did go down alot the knot on my forehead was still the size of a dime. I began to look for an alternative which brought me to your site. I have been taking Turmeric capsules 450mg 3times a day for 2 days.and using clear chrome to cleans the sore. It is not open now but was originally. I can definitely say the swelling has reduced. Will the knot ever go away and how long should I take the Turmeric? Is it Ok to use tea tree on the skin? thanks

Your turmeric remedy for boils was interesting. I wish to share some home remedies from India.

1. By applying the juice of garlic or onion on the boil to draw it out.
2. By applying turmeric powder.
3. By applying a cumin seed paste.

Diet: Well-balanced, vegetarian, yogurt, boiled food.
Avoid: White wheat flour, all meat, tea & coffee, oily, spicy & sour food.

A pinch of turmeric is taken with a glass of warm milk before bed to treat dry cough. I guess turmeric powder could be taken this way or added to vegetable soup when boiling to make it easier to consume.

I mixed the turmeric w/ my fav chai tea, tasted good. I noticed change, but this thing will not go away! It runs its course and recurs. Also, I've got more acne now than when I was a teenager. Beginning to wonder if this is a cyst? Anyhow, the turmeric definitely does SOMETHING. Sure does make my teeth yellow, too. Others should try, likely w/ better results. Definitely try the CHAI (idea came from the honey and hot milk idea...I just expanded).

Your story sounds so similar to mine. I have been on antibiotics for almost two years-I can't even remember the last time I HAVE NOT had any boils in my arm pits. I had surgery in one armpit, which helped, but now it has moved to the other pit. I am inspired by what I have read on here and I am going on the hunt for the turmeric pills. Thanks everyone!

Re turmeric causing constipation - you might be right, but it can also be that some 'regularity' is the result of underlying inflammation in the bowels and that when the turmeric cleans that up your body has to readjust - certainly seen this as an outcome for some other herbals which uninflame the bowels. Just a thought - would be interested to hear what others taking it long term have to say.

Heat boils are caused due to intake of foods which generates heat inside your body. In India, we take food as per climatic conditions. Chicken and eggs are foods that can produce heat in your body. So, if you continuously get heat boils, use turmeric inside and outside and try to avoid all types of food that generates heat. You can take milk, butter, citrus fruits and vegetables. Especially, turmeric is a wonderful medicine for most of the ailments and we in India, add turmeric to most of our food preparations. This will prevent many types of cancers.

Ok the way I see it there is something you are eating, drinking, or washing with that is making your system sick,,,,

1. check your foods and oils and do not eat any soy,,most prepard, boxed, baged foods have soy,,do not eat it,,checke your pets food also-no soy

2. checke for conola oil,,google 'what is canola oil made from' you do not want to eat it.

3. For about a week eat only fresh cooked vegtables with salt and olive oil, bread, fruit juice, fresh fruit, salads, with light oil dressing and herbs, and leamon juice,,,no meat, no animal products, no sodas, only juice, water, black coffee, unsweet tea.

After one week your digestive system and blood should be better, if not I suggest you continue the diet for another week,,also eating a lot of garlic is good,,it is called the Russian antibiotic. Eat natural, healthy, quick fixes in food preperations will make you sick.

i have had many boils in my life & about 2 yrs ago it started going through my grandkids like a house on fire, my youngest almost died from it, spent 8 days in intensive care.........i ended up getting it again from them, thus starting a huge cycle again, which i hadn't had to deal with in quite a while.......& because my health is not as good as it used to b, i caught the germ again...........it's a staff infection...........i have since then ran across this web site & with other investigation, found that candida surrounds staff & makes it very hard to get rid off.........anti-boitics may be able to help u get over the boil itself, but the staff stays in the body.........& since u said that sometimes u feel as if u r getting one again & the turmeric helps it stop, u probably still have the stuff floating around, waiting for a weak point in ur body, to attack u again...........well, if u fight candida, this site has great info about that, then killing the candida, or controlling it, will help u stop have those times where it starts again.........i think it's the body's way of trying to protect u from the ravages of staff, that can kill...............and then an over growth of candida has it's own special horrors...........after my own outbreak of boils, with many cycles of antibiotics, i had a number of times where it felt like i was getting more.........but since i started controlling the candida, i don't have them anymore..........i do take turmeric & it is a really strong anti-inflamitory & anti-oxident...............which is probably why it has helped u............try working on the candida, check out the symptoms of it, u might b surprised, i sure was.................it's pretty awful, in & of itself...........hope this helps, chris.....

i had a staph problem 4 close to 7yrs. of course i started with the doctors antibiotics ciprotab, peflotab etc. actually saw some alternative medical practitioners in my country taking one concotion or another for yrs with no remedy. i luckily had a good relief some 2 yrs ago after i was admitted with an anti biotic drip and took green vegetable juice locally called "ugwu" in my country but like a yr after some boils appeared and it came back.i came across this page on alkanizng ur body and i took the 3* a day teaspoon of baking soda mixed with 1/4 teaspoon of tumeric.i also took colloidal silver internally 3* a day, euchinicae 3* and a garlic tablet made by kwai 3* a day. i took the antibiotic ciprotab afterwards for a week and i felt very much relieved though i still have some mild movements in my stomach. 4 now i am taking the regular baking soda and tumeric mixed in half cup of water 2* daily, euchinicae once and the kwai garlic once. i feel very good but i am thinking of adding the colloidal silver to my supplements to keep it in check.

Thank you for your wonderful website! I tried your tumeric cure on my 8 1/2 year old son, who just recently had school sores (impetigo), and then started to develop a boil (which is exactly what happened last time he had school sores at age 5 - he then went on to have boils for about 4 months). I gave him a tsp of tumeric in a chocolate milkshake 3 x per day for two days and the boil totally dried up and didn't get big or painful...and, no more boils have developed after 1 week! Awesome!!

i have had 2 boils since april. the first one i went to the hospital and had it lanced and packed with packing strip, which hurt like crazy. it come from switching my razor to a venus breeze..it caused my legs to get razor burnt, then i started getting these painful bumps on my shins. then one got huge and i couldn't barely walk. so, i went to the hospital and went thru hell. this time i got one, i don't know how, but it just pops up on the back of my leg. i was NOT going back to the hospital, so i looked home remedies up on the internet and found this website...which saved me from a whole lot more pain. i took a teaspoon of tumeric and put tea tree oil on it...and 2 days later...it's about gone! i also had some antibiotics (levaquin)...and hot baths work wonders for the pain...but only while your'e in the bath...but i am thankiN' God every day i found this website...

I always get boils, nothing ever helps. Have had them all lanced (4). After getting the last one lanced, which hurt more than anything I have every experienced (it was on my bikini line were the fold is on my upper thigh) I now noticed that another boils appeared on the scar of the last one. I absolutely refuse to have anything ever lanced again. I found your website, don't know how. Bought Turmeric mixed it with plain water into a paste, applied it for 15 minutes. The next day it starting oozing, gross, but good news! No lancing required! I am so happy. Although I cannot stand the taste of it, I will be drinking plenty of it this week. Thanks so much, I am truly grateful to your website! Good luck everyone

I have never been more amazed in my life. Several weeks ago I had two moles removed on my breasts. One was large and required stitches, the other was very tiny and under my breast. The large one healed beautifully, but wouldn't you know that the small one got infected. This teeny little thing the size of a pin point swelled to the size of a dime and got red, hot, painful and swollen. I've never had a sore that wouldn't heal before. I tried everything, alcohol, peroxide, antibiotic salve. Nothing seemed to help. I tried draining it several times, but nothing came out, and it only got worse. I thought maybe some kind of polstice might help, so I googled "natural remedy abscess" and found your site. I thought that this had to be too good to be true, but you weren't charging anything, so I thought I should try it. I went to my pantry and got the turmeric I use sometimes to make curry. Worst thing I ever tasted, but within two hours the sore started itching. Up to that point it had only hurt. By the next morning the sorness was gone, the redness was gone, the sore was half its previous size, and it had scabbed over. I didn't believe in miracles until now. I don't know what's in that stuff, but I'm telling everyone I know.

Hello! I am writing to express my gratitude at finding this site with its Turmeric cure for boils. On June 10 or 11 I had the first hard lump of a boil in my armpit. I am 30 and have never suffered boils in my life. Not knowing what it was I assumed it was an in grown hair. I had flahes of fever and as it grew it felt like a burn. The boil that resulted was something so painful and depression inducing I was really at the end of my rope. I felt so disgusting and low. This one boil became two..and after the horror of the draining and dressings another even bigger developed higher on the same armpit...It was at that time I stumbled on this site by "google-ing" the words "cures boils". Luckily I had Turmeric in the pantry. It tastes very dry, dusty, chalky and bitter, but I didn't care I overdosed on it! Within minutes I felt the pain literally disappear. I really hoped for a "miracle" cure...but the next day the boil was still there, but the discomfort was gone. I felt the Turmeric encouraged the draining for a few days, and the taking of the baking soda caused the diarrhea, which stopped the draining. The effect of the Turmeric on my mood has been fantastic! I don't know what's in it but it certainly is a depression killer! The red marks that were not fading of the first two boils began to fade with the Turmeric, and the red mark from the larger third boil is fading well, and never seemed to be as red in the first place. As of July 14, all boils have healed, and a fourth that was just starting at the time of finding the Tumeric IMMEDIATELY stopped and healed!! If only I had of known about this a month ago!!! I never went to the doctor, but I don't think I had a staph infection. For months I had been feeling bad due to a falling off the excercise wagon, and eating rubbish filled with white flour and suger...Maybe a kind of internal toxicity?... When I first found the boil I thought also it was a lymph node problem due to the wearing of an anti-perspirent, so instead of a deodorent I used Active Manuka Honey with te UMF of 5 ( it was all they had in the supermarket) and I also used it as the antiseptic on my boils. At first I had used Betadine. I now stopped waering a deoderent and just rub a little honey under each armpit!! I know Manuka Honey has Staph and Strep killing "power" so that's why that might work. I am still taking the Tumeric. Actually, today is the very first time I forgot to take it and I felt my mood plummet! So I went off and happilty overdosed!! My taste buds don't even wince anymore!! Thankyou so much for this site and all the great info.
