Turmeric cured two boils on my left arm before they erupted. After they appeared I went to your site in search of homeopathic spider anti-venom. There I found your reference to the common error of mistaking boils for spider bites. After just one week of following your suggested regimen of one teaspoon of turmeric dissolved in warm water, three times a day, my spider bites turned boils had all but disappeared without ever breaking the surface of the skin. Just as a precaution I kept Neosporin ointment applied to the locations under bandages, which I changed daily.

Kudos to your remedy and for your skeptical readers, I can say that this really works! Thanks...

I never had boils or acne before until after the birth of my first child after age 30! The first pea sized one on my bikini line went away with a hot soak/compresse as advised by my doctor. Then I had another a few months later. In both cases they reabsorbed into my body within a day. Haven't had any for 6 months. This third one grew with the hot soak to the size of a grape in the first day. Very painful. Then I found this website. I applied Camphophenique which helped relieve the pain & throbbing immediately. The next day I purchased Tumeric, took two and the boil shrank within hours. The second day I took two more and it shrank to the size of a small pimple. Day three it completely reabsorbed back into my body. I'm going to take the tumeric for a few more days and also at the start of my menses, as that has been when they appear.

I'm on my second day of the regimen and although the taste is a little gag inducing the first time around, my boil has reduced in size and the inflammation is slowly subsiding. My boil didn't burst yet and I don't think it's going to. Either way I can finally sit comfortably after 5 days. Thank you!!!!

This is day 4. I used the turmeric on a poltice with neosporin and also drank the turmeric, one teaspoon in a glass of water. I also put a poltice of baking soda on 2x yesterday for about 10 minutes a time and would immediately put the poltice of turmeric and neosporin back on never leaving it uncovered. The boils are now very small and scabbed over. Just one is weeping very little. I have to say I think the baking soda helped but the turmeric was the main cure. Still have itching today, must be irritation from the turmeric I think. Thanks for this cure, Leslie

Friday of last week i noticed a small little dot on my right hip, thinking it was just a plugged hair follicle or blackhead, i popped it and a little white plug came out. By that night it had grown into what i thought was a big zit. By wednesday itwas so huge, bigger than an egg, i had to go to the doctor to get it lanced. That was incredibly painful and i had an awful doctor who cut into me before i was completely numb, AWFUL experience. It hadn't drained all the way after he had taken the packing out, so i went to another doctor who packed it without an injections. that was probably the most painful experience of my life. Pus oozed out all that day and yesterday and the doctor said that this was truly a bad and very deep cavity. The packing accidently came out last night with my bandage, and the doc told me i would have to come in today to get it re-packed. I am going to cry. Luckily, i came across this site yesterday and took as much turmeric and water as i could. When i took my bandage offthis morning the lump has gone down and there was no puss!! I REALLY hope that the doc doesn't need to re-pack it now that the turmeric has worked. I will let you know...

Turmeric Remedy: I have had a recurring problem with Boils on my back side, and upper leg. They can grow to be quite large in size, around the size of a plum. They often occur in the same spot, but lately they have been showing up in new locations. I have tried many different remedies and recently tried Turmeric. Turmeric has worked the best and I'm sold on it. I had 3 boils that were in the early stages, I was getting ready to take time off and prepare for a few days of epson salt baths and heat pads. I came across this site and began the turmeric around 6pm. By the next morning the boils had reduced about 75%. After two days only a very small indication left. This is going to help me manage this condition far more effectively than the broad antibiotics that the doctors were giving me.

With regards to boils and recurring skin infections. Check your urine for sugar. As this tends to be a problem in Type 2 Diabetes. It can go unnoticed, without symptoms for years.

The problem causes a Syndrome, High sugar, leading to High blood pressure, and the sugar causes the immune system to go on strike, and not be able to handle "Staphylococcus Arius" the main cause of boils, while the sugar levels remain high. In the western world it has reached epidemic proportions. Once the sugar has dropped the boils disappear.

Turmeric seems to bring on an intense draining of the boil, without any other intervention other than keeping it clean and patching with absorbent tissue. Definitely recommended.

Midwives with the Ayurvedic background are using turmeric big time to prepare for the birth and afterwards. That is, in India. Namaste, Om

My son and daughter recently broke out with a boil. Can you give turmeric to a child? If so, how much? My daughters has nearly healed with antibiotics, but my son's is very painful. My daughter's was diagnosed as MRSA, so the dr assumed my sons was the same and treated it with stronger antibiotics. His culture is not back yet. I want to do what ever I can to help him, it is really bothering him. Thanks.

After removal of a hemorrhoid, an abcess developed next to the end of the suture. Dealed with the intense pain for 3 days (Doc's office said to take Tylenol & a cold compress until it went away or opened - 2-7 days. Nuts to be so miserable while playing the wait & see game). Tried tumeric mid-morning and by that evening, the abcess broke, immediate relief. Another just returned and after tumeric, it again went away just as fast. This time I'm sipping the concoction throughout the day (it can cause heart palpitations and did bring mine back slightly) and taking a probiotic with high strain bacteria for lower intestine & colon in the AM, grapefruit seed extract in juice at noon and oil of oregano (ingestible only) in the evening to purge whatever bacteria I may have that's causing these PIAs - pain in the ___). Also starting 5 element acupuncture to assist in releasing stress that causes so many of these problems.

Recipe: 1 teaspoon tumeric powder, 4 cups water, 1 cup vanilla almond/soy milk and black pepper for absorption. (The recommended ratio of tumeric to black pepper is 1:1 but I sprinkle in so it won't become too spicy)

Amazing! Thank you Earth Clinic & Fans

Dear Earthclinic,

A big thank you for your existence and support for usage of natural remedies.

As a healthcare worker I have been dealing with unpleasant boils (very likely, but hard to accept MRSA boils) on my body especially buttocks area for the last two months. Two days ago I began drinking turmeric mixed in warm water twice a day - morning and evening. What a difference it has made. The boils are dissapearing, and I must give all the credit to turmeric as I have not done any other dietary changes.

Kind regards,

P.F.

I have had a boil near my anus for a few days, and reading your recommendation I started taking a teaspoon of Turmeric with warm water 3 times a day.

The boil immediately got smaller and after two days is very much reduced and the pain which had commenced went away in the first 6 hours.

I think by tomorrow it will have gone and I will stop the treatment.

I have had trouble with the taste of turmeric also. I have tried a number of ways to prepare it. I just finished a turmeric smoothie. I cut up an apple and threw it into my vita-mix with some almond milk and then added about 2 tps of turmeric and a good dash of curry powder (I like curry). I also added about a tsp of organic coconut oil for absorption purposes and blended it all up. It was actually pretty good and I never thought I'd say that about turmeric. I am going to try some other combinations such as cinnamon in place of the curry powder. We'll see how that goes. I found that the vita-mix is such a strong blender that it thoroughly mixes everything and I don't have to keep stirring as I drink because nothing settled to the bottom of the glass. Is there a page dedicated to recipes somewhere on this website?

Yeah, I know it's been a long time since this person's negative comment. But here goes.

First off, I noted she was taking the kids size portion 1/4 tsp.

And how about doing it topically? What about trying Mellycat of (Dallas, Tx) info...

She said...

"Then I made a paste of sweet almond oil, turmeric and 3 drops of tea tree oil and applied it to the boil and the surrounding area and covered it with gauze and taped it in place. Within, I kid you not, 10 minutes, the swelling and hardness had gone down." Or try something similar that others have used.

Maybe you should have mentioned your issue a lot sooner and then someone could have given you some ideas. Guy, 1 year later seems a little late in the game, don't you think.

I figure, and maybe I'm wrong, but it almost 300 people have had good results from it, well, maybe you might be doing something wrong.

Myself, I can't believe how fast the staph boils on my arm healed up.

I did the 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tbs coconut oil 3x a day. Man, nothing was working before, just getting worse.

Janelle, I'm not saying this just to hack on you. I'm sure you were doing the best you could under your circumstance.

Normally, when something is not working for me and it's helping a lot of others I figure I need to start asking or doing something different. There's always an answer out there.

Janelle, I sure hope you finally did find a good answer.

Sincerely, MarkC

My 18 yr old daughter had these weird pimple like things in between her breasts and thighs. I've never seen anything like them and the DR said it was from sweating but they are like really big hard pimples with black heads at the top. GIANT! So she's been taking Turmeric internally 400 mg (3 times a day)that I bought in bulk and put in empty capsules. PLUS I bought a bottle of Almond Oil and I just dumped a bunch of Turmeric in it. She puts that on externally every other day. With in a couple days they were scabbed over and clearing and yesterday (1 week)they were healed and just fading away. NOTHING has ever worked that well and I'm not even sure what the heck she has but I figured it's in the boil, pimple something aisle (LOL). Turmeric also instantly faded my under eye darkness and two age spots on my face. I put the oil mixture on and then I spread some Turmeric on a bandaid and put it over the spots ALSO and go to bed. The only downside is Turmeric STAINS and my bathtub has yellow spots everywhere but we all know it's Turmeric so it doesn't bother us. LOL! Plus it works tooo well - small price to pay - a fair exchange isn't a robbery!

Moonlight58, your posts are from long ago but I had to comment:

1. You are hilarious!

2. A pinch of good salt (Celtic, Himalayan) with each glass of water might help the water get into the cells and hydrate better.

I have had boils since I was 13 years of age, I am now 56 years old. I have tried everything imaginable even doctors, antibiotics of all kinds and lancing. My sister told me about this site and off I went reading. I just happen to be experiencing one of my episodes with boils. I bought the turmeric and smelled it and tasted it and no way that would go down and stay down. So I bought empty gel capsules and filled 4 to 5 of them with turmeric powder, from an Indian resturant/store. That is equivalent to 1 tsp. That did not seem to be doing much, until I read one of the newer accounts that indicated that turmeric was oil soluble. So I bought some Almond Oil and honey and tried the tea recipe, but no way I could drink so much tea. So I did a paste of 1 tsp turmeric and about 1/2 tsp almond oil. I also add a drop of honey just because I bought it. It looks like peanut butter. I make this paste and with a paring knife I stuff it into the gel capsules and drink them down with water. No taste in my mouth and it works. By the end of one day the pain of the boils was gone. I just had to write to let you all know. I will continue and see how long I can get away with not having any boils. Lord willing, it will never happen again. Thanks to all who have passed on their testimonials.

I have been sufferig with recurring boils for 3 months now. I had never had a boild before in my life. THe first one showed up on my waistline. It was terribly painful and took about a week to burst and drain (no core). Accompanied with the boils I had swollen glands that never burst but were painful amd sore. The next 2 were the back of my right thigh. They were small, pimple like but very sore. They burst and drained left a small hole but still not core. This last one has been a nightmare. It is in the same spot as the original on my waistline. I can't sleep becasue of the pain (800mg of ibuprofen did not help at all). I was hours away from going to the doctor but dreading the thought of having it lanced and being placed on antibiotics that I did not think were going to work due to the research I have done online about boils. And then I came across your miracle site. I am a teacher and I ran out on my lunch break to get the capsules and some powder. I cook with turmeric and had some at home but I could not wait to get the process started. After trying the GNC which only had the capsules containing maltodextrose (thanks for the heads up) I got the Turmeric "One Daily" 600mg at my local herb shop. I immediately took 2 (1200mg). that was at 12 noon. Let me reiterate that the pain was so bad I was nauseated and almost passed out in the shower this morning. I also mixed up some of the powdered Turmeric with neosporin and put it directly on the boil with a band-aid. However I removed the band-aid after reading several messages about the rawness that was left after direct application. It was starting to burn a little and I got a little scared. When I got home at 3:30pm I was still in pain but was able to lie down and take a much needed nap(I have not been sleeping well). When I woke up (7:30pm) I eat a banana and took 2 more capsules (1200mg) almost immediately the pain subsided and the swelling that was 2 inches in diameter had gone down considerably. Thank you so much for this valuable information. I will post an update as to the progress. My hope is that when it finally begins to drain I can get the core out and coninue with the Turmeric regime as a part of my daily supplements. You saved me pain, time and money. I can't thank you enough!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok I so I got my first boil about 4 years ago I was like 16 and I had went to the doctor, he said my hair follicle was infected and gave me some medicine. It didnt work a week later I had another one along with the one I went to the doctor with. My mom had did some research and had me trying everything on them like onion, iodine, and ickthemal (wrong spelling) she actually even made some tumeric tea for me but i didnt want it becaus it tasted disgusting. I kept getting boils (proabably over 30) until I went to another doctor and he gave me a VERY expensive medicine that cured it.

Anyway 4 years later I'm living on my own and got a boil...I freaked out but hoped maybe it was just one and they weren't going to keep happening. Well I was wrong 2 days later another one popped up. I didn't have the money for the medicine so I started looking online for cures...I came accross this site and that night I made my self turmeric tea and applied it to the boils in a paste and covered it up. honestly it made it feel better but it didn't drain any faster. Still having hope for it I went to pick up some turmeric capsles. I was happy to see they were only 3 dollars for 50 capsles. So I started taking 2 everyday (like it said on the bottle) And didn't get one for a whole month. I decided to start skipping days and do it every other day and still no boils. About 4 months later everyday I feel my body and make sure theres no signs of boils starting. Any little bump and I take 2 pills each day for 2 days in a row and its gone. This stuff is a miracle Im so happy I found it!! I wish I could tell everyone who ever had a boil about it!!!!

Turmeric cured my boil. I had my first boil in years. It was angry and painful.I was worried sick that it'd never heal so i scoured the internet for treatment. I found the "take turmeric internally" suggestion on your website. So i dissolved turmeric in warm water as suggested and tried to drink. But it tasted so awfull that even the burning pain in my boil could not convince me to swallow the concoction! If turmeric is what the evil boil needs, so it will have...this is what i thought and came up with this:

In a mug-full of hot water i added 1 tsp turmeric powder. Applied warm water heat to the boil using a cloth. Did this three times a day. And on the fourth day my boil drained without warning and without any pain!

I feel so relieved and elated.

P.S. I am from India and turmeric is readily available in all forms. I used the normal turmeric powder from the store.
