Turmeric brought my boil to a head in 3 days:

I was kinds skeptical about buying Turmeric, but I will be darn! This stuff brought my painful recurring boils to a head in 3 days. I followed the instructions from the site, had my husband stop by the local Publix and pick me up some around $4.00. I took it with Apple Juice after sampling it by itself (YUCK).

I took it internally and applied it externally overnight. The next morning, I woke up, it was oozing pus, blood, and clear liquids. WHOO HOO! I had been in pain for 2 days already. This hasn't kept me from outbreaks but it does help slow them down.

Thank you to all that post on this site. I saved me from yet ANOTHER visit to the doctor.

TURMERIC is the best remedy I have found to heal my boils. Found this site 2 weeks ago and it is the best for alternative cures. I am 55 y/o and have suffered from boils/cysts since I was 2 y/o, after a long stay in the hospital. Usually the boils would appear in the most private ares and all manner of ointments, doctors, antibiotics, hot compresses, squeezing, homemade ointments nothing has worked as well as TURMERIC. I had the largest boils I have ever had in my life right in the middle of my upper back they were the size of two extra large eggs and the most painful I had ever experienced and in a spot that was very hard to reach. So they remained coming and going for about two years. This time they came back with a vengeance I could not endure any clothing to touch them. I found this site read the comments on turmeric. I went to the grocery store bought turmeric powder took a heaping spoonful 3x a day AWEEEEEEE!! with a large glass of water and made a paste with warm water, On day two I woke up to the stink of pus that was running down my back the amount of which was mind boggling to me. I continued the turmeric paste and drink two more days by then a scab was on the boils and the pain was reduced. I ordered turmeric capsules. I take 2 caps three times a day. The boils are now small humps the position they are in did not allow for me to remove the cores so I hope they don't cone back. What's up with this core thing because even though I have removed the cores in the past they would still come back many times in the same place or area? I will take Turmeric for the rest of my life. Thanks to Earth Clinic and the people who helped to make it great, Thank you all.

Hey - I just wanted to give feedback about turmeric and boils/staph. My son had what we thought was a spider bite except it grew and had puss in it. The doctor lanced it and said it was staph but that the lancing would take care of it. A week later I got a boil on my leg. They lanced it but didn't biopsy it. I didn't think much of it but two weeks later another one started on my belly. I freaked out because I had just read about MRSA. I came onto this site and decided to try the turmeric remedy. I warmed about 1 oz of soy milk and added 1 tablespoon of turmeric and a little Equal 3 times a day. The boil hadn't broken the skin yet but the entire area was itchy and bright red and you could see where the boil was coming up. Well, I am AMAZED. After 4 days, the boil was completely gone. It never broke the skin. I also kept going with the turmeric to keep inflammation down. It really worked. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this site and for the information. It was truly a lifesaver.

OMG! I am 26 and have been suffering from perodic boils since puberty. I've always used the hot compress or sitz bath method up until my last boil I actually had to have lanced and drained. It just refused to go away.

Well, two days ago another boil appeared and this time it hurt as soon as I noticed it. I was determined not to let this one end up like the last so I went online looking for alternate home remedies and ran onto this God send of a website.

After reading all the testimonials I asked my boyfriend to swing by the grocery store on the way home from work and grab some Turmeric in the spice isle. He didn't even ask why.

When he got home I immediately mixed a 6oz glass of water with 1 tsp of turmeric and chugged it down. Yes, it tasted horrible but it was nothing compared to the pain of being lanced because of an infected boil/abcess.

Needless to say, less than 2 hours later the boil that had begun to become increasingly uncomfortable regardless of hot compresses or sitz baths, it ruptured, oozed and is now on the road to healing. I will continue the turmeric remedy until all signs of the boil are gone but I am forever grateful to this community and its information about ailments and home remedies.

Taking powders such as turmeric, ginger or cayenne is unpleasant, but I have found the easiest way is to mix it into cream cheese - I like the garlic and herb ones! I suppose thick cream or yoghourt or a non dairy version, would work just as well. Mix it up well, load it onto a big spoon and swallow.

Staph infection boils

I read about using Tumeric a few days ago to help with boils. (2 teaspoons in warm water every three hours during the day) I immediately started taking it. I didn't see results for about a day, but it is working. I had two boils, one that came a day or two before the other. The one that appeared later started to drain earlier. And just like others have written, the tumeric caused the boil to come to a head and drain. The tumeric also helped with the fluid build up around the infection. I've taken antibiotics before to treat boils, but they left me feeling drained and sick. Taking tumeric has kept me feeling energetic.

I have also been using apple cider vinegar to help my body regain a more alkaline state, Kyolic (aged garlic extract), and barley grass powder to help my body cleanse itself.

Tumeric, Hydrogen Peroxide I found the Earth Clinic site by typing in "natural treatments for skin infection" on the internet. I always broke out in the same areas: under my jawline, back to my ears. I even had pain in that area almost like something was clogged and burning. I had tried two rounds of antibiotics in the past few months and they did not work, but the Tumeric did. Read all the information about boils and Tumeric. Since the outbreaks were painful, I thought it must be something like mini boils. I happen to have some Tumeric capsules in my kitchen so I began taking two pills, 3x a day for five days. My skin immediately cleared up and scars are healing. I continue to either take a capsule every day or sprinkle about t. on some food. It's best with salty foods. I have found that if I stop for more than 2 days, I have some pain in the area like I might break out again.

After that, I read about H202. I also have had chronic sinus problems since I was a child. I always remembered having problems breathing when I laid down at night. Recently, though, I had such a hard time breathing at night that I didn't want to go to sleep. I was stuffy, not stopped up. I just could not get anything out of my nose. I know that I was snoring which made my face and teeth hurt and was not sleeping well. So I started "snorting" the peroxide (just the cheap stuff from the store with no stabilizers). I would put it on a swab and rubbed it up inside my nose. I would then sniff it up into my sinuses. Within seconds I could breathe. It has been a miracle cure for me. I did this about 3x a day %: morning, at night before bed and during the night if needed. I now only have to do it once or twice a week. After that I decided to start drinking a little. I put maybe 1 t. or less into 8 oz. of water and drink it 1-2x per day or when I need it. I did not know how much I missed oxygen through my nose!

The best thing is that my husband who has had asthma since childhood, started taking the H202 in water 2x per day. He was extremely dependent on medication to control asthma, but wanted to get off it. He has taken the peroxide in water for almost 3 weeks and has only needed his albuterol inhaler 1x. We are pretty excited about that! Thanks for all the good info.

Thank you so much for your site !! I had boils a couple of years ago under my arms. It was a painful, long experience. I recently had one pop up again and was lucky enough to find your site. I rushed out and bought the turmeric and I mixed it with my Green tea, lemon and honey. The taste was not overwhelming and it is really doing the trick. You are really a blessing to me. !! Thank you !!

This is day 3 of using the turmeric. Am taking it orally and also applying it to the boil with neosporin. The boils, which have multiplyed to 3 have shrunk. There is no longer any pain and all have broken open and are draining. This afternoon my skin started to itch intensly, had to wash off the turmeric and neosporin. Left these off for a few hours and have reapplied. I think the turmeric is affecting the boils. I am just impatient. Have a large gauze pad tapped to my cheek. Is the itching a sign of healing I hope? Will report my progress. Leslie

Dear Earthclinic team, I had been suffering from a very painful boil on my left hand index finger for the last 10 days and the boil showed no signs of breaking till yesterday. I luckily got into your website and read about some home remedies to help with the pains and swelling caused by the boil last evening. Last night, I started with the hot water compress and I continued it till this evening with a break of 4 hours between each compress. I also had a glass of warm water with a tea spoon of turmeric powder this morning after brushing my teeth on empty stomach. This evening when I had my second shower, the boil burst out with a mild press, releasing loads and loads of pus and blood. Damn it! It was so painful to take all the pus out. Now my pains are much better and swelling has gone considerably down. I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow morning and I hope he wouldn't need to do any kind of operation other than the normal dressing on my finger. Thank you very much for your wonderful advice and I love this website so much. Regards, Tacy

I have suffered from boils in the groin area for the past ten years, many visits to the doctor, tried all possible antibiotics, warm baths, lancing and no cure. In January, I had about 8 boils in my groin area, I can hardly walk, went to the OBYGEN and she prescribed diocixalin a penicillin antibiotic, it seemed to help, the boils disappeared but still a small lump under the skin was still there. A week after I finished the antibiotics and no more boils, I thought that finally I was cured. Well not, the day before yesterday, I noticed that the boils were coming back, lots of swelling, redness and pain. Desperately, I started to do some research and I found your site, read about turmeric and decided to try it. In any event, if it didn't do good, it was not going to harm me either. I took the 1 teaspoon with warm water, yikes before going to bed, the next morning, I noticed that the swelling had gone down quite a bit; yesterday, I drank it with orange juice and it was easier to drink. This morning, the swelling pretty much disappeared as well as the pain. I will keep drinking it for at least two weeks, but so far I am satisfied with the result as this seems to really work fast and best of all naturally. I am grateful that I found your site. Thanks!

This website has been a God send for me! Thank you a million times over! Earlier this year I had the biggest boil on my buttock ever that i couldn't even sit down. I'm talking tennis ball size. After weeks of antibiotics nothing happened and eventually i was referred to the hospital for an incision and drainage under general anesthesia! It took two weeks of packing before I could even go back to work! It was embarrassing and painful! I was referred to the dermatology department of the hospital and they gave me antibacterial washes, tested for diabetes (negative) and gave me a two month long course of the antibiotic Erythromycin. While taking the antibiotics I had three more boils but not as big. I managed to get about and applied the topical antibiotics which had no effect really. They went away after a few weeks. Since then I've had others come up and go and have also had another appointment at dermatology. Again I was given more washes and topical antibiotics. They told me that they didn't know what to do to help me at all. I've came to the conclusion that I had to live with them and hoped and prayed that I wouldn't get it so bad that I had to have it surgically removed again. Then over two weeks ago one developed and because it was higher up on my buttock cheek, I have been getting away with it and have been able to sit etc, despite discomfort. I continued to apply the topical antibiotic and it had no affect and the monster continued to grow. The other thing is that none of these have ever come to a head! They are deep rooted and huge. This one was almost tennis ball size this Friday gone and it was getting evermore painful. I tried heat compresses etc many times before but still it never comes to a head and it all has no effect whatsoever.

Then, on Saturday morning I started researching for the millionth time and THANK GOD came across this website. I started taking turmeric in water. I also mixed up a paste of turmeric and ginger with a little green clay. Within hours I felt as if the inflammation had reduced. I thought it was more of a placebo and my desperation to have something work. At night I changed the dressing and applied more of the same but without the clay. I took the turmeric in water three times on Saturday. Sunday morning, the monster had reduced in size. It was now golf ball size!! I couldn't believe it. I carried on with the drinking of turmeric and changed the dressing and applied only a turmeric paste this time. Later on Sunday evening (yesterday), I went to remove the dressing to take a shower. Suddenly it burst! YUCK!! I've never seen anything like it. They have NEVER burst before and I didn't expect it to this time. I just thought the application of the turmeric would be an added benefit perhaps. It bled lots too but I didn't squeeze it. I just pulled apart the skin and tried to let it drain until it wouldn't come out anymore. I don't think the core had come out and perhaps it will just get reabsorbed. I'm not sure. I washed the area thoroughly with antibacterial wash while in the shower and then covered it with more turmeric but this time with added tea tree oil. UNBELIEVABLE!! I have lots of relief and I can't believe that I found this remedy. Wait till I get to my next dermatology appointment! I know they'll be dismissive as western Docs normally are. I'm also now going to try to use the method of applying stuff in my nose as suggested by someone else on this page in order to kill the infection somehow. I have a friend whom suffers the same problem and I can't wait to tell her! I have believed for a long time now that God has put healing in all things natural and we only need to find the cures and remedies rather than rely on synthetically produced chemicals!! For every ailment there is a cure in NATURE. Thank You So very much to all! God bless You!! xxx

When you're either using Turmeric internally or as a paste externally, so you have to be ready for the drainage ahead of.time be covering the area with gauze ahead of time. Turmeric is a boil killer and is very powerful, so a boil needs to be well covered to stop the spread from the drainage.

It's just like when you take acne medicine. It's getting all the inflammation out of your body and it has to get worse before gets better.

Dear Diana from Milford PA, Why not see a gynocologist and get a for real diagnosis of what this problem is? Is your health and well being not worth a couple hundred dollars? The most anyone here can do is GUESS about what this problem is. You need to see a qualified doctor to KNOW what the problem is. Any treatment has to be based on knowing what the problem is....Oscar

Of course visiting a doctor as one reader suggests is always pertinent advice; however, what you describe may be acne or a boil. Applying turmeric helps, but also does taking it internally... Good Luck.

I'm grateful for your encouragement. Have had a blasted small boil on the upper right corner of shoulder front. Then, tried several $$$ remedies that have done very little.

Today made a paste of turmeric, pepper and extra virgin coconut oil and put on it. Then drank a warm cup of water with 1 tsp. of turmeric and dash of pepper. (Oh, forgot to say, developed a 'rash' all over my body that was driving me crazy! And, after reading all the stuff on this have concluded there must be an internal infection (staph in all probability, had been in contact with a hospital and very ill person previous)so decided to 'cleanse' with that also.

Thanks again for the encouragement. Donna

I started with Tumeric for this persistant boil, but improvement was slow untill I added Cream of Tartar, It seems to make the pus more fluid. The last boil of this type that I had lasted for a few years I suppose it was more of an abcess. It grew and shrank untill I tried to lance it myself, needless to say I then had to go to the Doc. and get some amoxicillan. Which incidently cleared it up fast. But Cream of tartar does something to the bacteria the infection was over within a couple of teaspoonfulls, but as it was large it took a couple of weeks to completly drain. If you feel one coming on start with a teaspoon of cream of Tartar morning and evening in some milk, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Bit of a back story.. I experienced my first boil about 1 month ago, on my inner thigh, I believe caused by an ingrown hair. I thought it was abnormally large, and drained a lot, but never thought it to be a boil, because I had never had one. Anyway, it drained and went away(leaving a scar, anyone know how to help get rid of those in the pubic region?)... But about 4 days ago, I noticed a red bump (that grew quickly, and swelled a lot) on the exact opposite spot on my other thigh... Like complelely mirrored spot. I read posts, started taking 4 turmeric capsules, and applying oil of oregano and all sorts of helpful home remedies... I didn't notice much of a difference.. So I just went to the kitchen, and used actual turmeric spice, a cap full of it in grapefruit juice. I also made a paste of oregano oil and turmeric and applied it with a bandaid. The swelling has gone down quite a bit already. I am hoping it drains tonight. If I remember, ill update. Regardless, try turmeric! Bulk spice, not capsules.

In response to my last post.. I woke up this morning, drank the turmeric with juice, followed by a hot bath with sea salts, h202, coconut oil and a little dr bronners, it came to a head. I popped it... I will continue with turmeric. I have a question though.... All the white stuff came out.. Now it seems just to be lymph fluid.. But it looks a little yellow in color, and the area is still a little swollen. Is what I think is lymph flluid still infection... Or is that only the white looking pus?... Should I let it drain out all on its own, or apple any pressue? Thanks for your help. I love this site!

I've had a boil on my pants line for a month with a small hole in it which ive squeezed out some mucky looking stuff. So I put a tea spoon of tumeric in a glass of soya milk and downed it twice a day, over a couple of days.. I also mixed some honey with tumeric and applied to the boil. It is now draining well.. Tumeric definitely works.

Do yourself a favor and don't stop the treatment. Do a maintenance treatment from here on to avoid getting another one. 1 tsp of turmeric in warm milk and a little honey to taste or in the water like you did if you prefer. 5 days on 2 days off for me but at least 3 days a week and you won't likely see another one. Cheers and best wishes

I am fighting my way through my first boil. This one is on my back; and, so was quite large by the time I noticed it. I left it for a few days to monitor it and decided I had to do something. I decided that if drinking turmeric in water was good for a boil; then, a paste would be even better. I mixed some turmeric in distilled water to make a paste which I then applied liberally to the boil and surrounding area. Everything came to a head within hours and the boil is draining nicely. Turmeric is a wonder herb.

OH MY GODDDDDD!!!!!!! I can't express my feeling in words. Plus my English is not so good. I am a lab researcher who graduated medical university. Basically I don't believe home remedies. I always use more "scientific" treatment and stuff which is not very helpful with my boils. Like, antibiotic, incision, ointment with AB... But this Turmeric thing really changed my whole mind. I usually get boils 1-3 times a year from my high school age. Now I'm 25. When it develops furuncle, that's a bad ass pain. I always lose my mood, ability to work, sleep, my normal life style, sometimes can't walk, sit or lie down. I use antibiotic, ointment, everything, except turmeric. It all ends up with go to boil incision to make drainage and one week packing with packing strip. It sooooo suckkkkkkkk. I hate that.

Last saturday, I got my recurrent boils, small one on my abdominal area (not again). Even though, I'm so depressed and got anxious, because I know it will develop painful nasty, hurtful big boil. Then started to take of it from outside, like ointment with triple antibiotic, washing, banding, vitamins, minerals, stuff like that. But it grows bigger and bigger, more and more painful, and got pink, red, then purple. I really didn't want to go operation room. Then I found your site and read amazing TURMERIC stories. First I didn't believe. But I tried. It workeddddddddddddddd!!!
