Borax
Posted by JD (NC) on 10/17/2024
Art, I'm a 37 year old female, and I was taking 1/8 tsp. a day of the borax. I measured out the 1/8 tsp. each day and sprinkled a little of it in my water 3 times a day to make it spread out throughout the day. There were a few times I also just sprinkled a little on my salad dressing instead of in the water, (where is basically dissolved in the vinegar) still doing 1/8 tsp. a day. Do you recommend I start back at that dose for a longer period of time then? And are you still taking it everyday, or were you able to stop at any point? Thank you!

Castor Oil for Arthritis
Helps me take fewer OTC meds on days I overdo it.
I started using organic castor oil on my knees and inner elbows. I rub a lot of oil on my knees and place plastic wrap on them and over them with semi lightweight knee sleeves. I add more oil to it a few times during the day.
It's been amazing, more than I hoped for. I used castor oil in 2005 to save my gallbladder, and use it on the gallbladder liver area off and on even to this day.
Worth a try.. I can NOW GET UP from my computer without a cane and without my knees locking up on me for sitting there too long.

Well this is interesting, I can actually reply if I use Chrome Browser, but not my Firefox. Oh well, anyway, I'm glad I can finally post. I wanted to update people on what I'm doing for my arthritis. I found what I have for one thing, trigger finger (that's what it's called I guess). The other thing is my elbow, for no apparent reason started hurting so bad, and nothing seemed to work. I use straight DMSO, Then later, I broke down and took 4 ibuprofen, and rubbed my elbow with Freeze Max, some junk I had I bought otc. Still hurt after all that, for several hours. My friend Tanya brought over some ointment made with cloves and marijuana she said. Luckily, I guess you can't get stoned if you put it on topically. I hate pot, and tried it when I was in highschool, and worst paranoia I've ever had. Anyway, even after that, 2 days ago, elbow is still sore and I can't lift with my right hand, nothing too heavy that is. Ok, so yesterday I was determined to go to work on the "fixes" for arthritis, and first thing was the boron (borax, 1/8 tsp in 1 liter filtered water). So today is my second day of that. Weird thing happened last night though I wanted to toss in here. Oh, I also took an epsom salts bath yesterday. I'm suffering with allergies, and arthritis right now so I think my routine really helps both. I use ACV/lemon/ginger drink each morning, and sinus irrigation with salt-water. Now I've added the boron. So I am keeping track of the boron and want to keep people up to date if I can, on my progress. I really believe it can work. Oh yes, the weird thing!! Lastnight, for only the 2nd time in 4.5 years, I went to bed, read my book, and totally forgot about my tinnitus. When I realized it wasn't bothering me I wondered if it was the boron since it's the only new thing. Anyway, my ears were still ringing but much lower. Same today, no noise in my apartment at all right now. I'll be back to let folks know how it's going. Fixing, or stopping arthritis won't be overnight, but I am so hoping to make some progress and not have that awful pain again in my hand, elbow, or anywhere else.

Arthritis is caused by poor circulation due to vitamin C deficiency, also caused by infection and calcium accumulation by hard water or by eating many dairy products.

I don't do dairy anymore because of allergies (environmental but dairy makes them worse) I was doing Vit. C because of the Covid 19 outbreak but something was making my tinnitus worse so I stopped taking any supplements for a few days. Ears are still ringing, but much less. I'm going to read up on the calcium accumulation, and have also looked into heavy metal detox. Have borax, and edta (ordered that) but I'm afraid of both of those things so haven't tried it :(

Thank you for this J. I have some pretty painful arthritis starting up, especially in my hands, but lots of places in my body have the pain, seems out of nowhere. DMSO
Posted by Denise (True ) on 05/03/2020
DMSO doesn't touch the trigger-finger pain, or the elbow pain (that started just 2 days ago). I first did the dmso diluted, then when that didn't help I used it right out of it's bottle at 99.9%. Now I'm doing the boron/borax thing using 1/8 tsp in purified water. This is my 3rd day into that. I'll take off 2 days as recommended. I know not all "fixes" work for everyone, but I'm pretty sure DMSO is one that takes effect immediately after rubbing it on. I did use it for a few days on my finger/hand, but only 3 times on my elbow.

I have dealt with severe scoliosis my entire life, but issues with my hips, particularly the left one, has garnered diagnoses such as arthritis and/or calcification. Turns out, however, that I've had two parasitic worm infections since 1976, and there was a nest in my hip among a few other places! The usual herbal antiparasitics are too harsh for me, but I'm having tremendous success with the Zapper and homeopathic Cina. I urge anyone dealing with chronic issues to get a Zapper and diagnoses via biofeedback machine since worms are much harder to eradicate than bacteria and amoebas. Additionally, my boyfriend used the Zapper briefly to see what it felt like. His arthritic swelling immediately went down, however, tiny pinworms are now appearing in his fingers so I now believe the few studies I've seen stating that arthritis has parasitic origins. Definitely worth an $80 biofeedback session and a $35 Zapper.

Hello, Approximately a year and a half ago I had a knee replacement, and although I'm left with residual pain and stiffness I have been able to walk three or four miles. However, I feel that the arthritis is moving to my hips, and this worries me. I've tried so many supplements, Borax, ACV, MSM, gelatine, etc but none of them have appeared to help. Very recently I've started taking chicken cartilage type II in capsule form, so I shall see if this helps. I attempt to follow a healthy diet, but am wondering if changing to either a vegetarian or vegan diet would help with the arthritis. The Arthritis Society suggests that this could be beneficial. I'd be interested to learn if anyone has had any success in treating their arthritis by cutting out meat, fish, etc? Best wishes.

Right now Wen, I'd give a bunch (if I had it) to be able to go to an Alternative medicine doctor. I do all alternatives, no drugs, myself. Kind of my own guinea pig but I've been helped so much so far. Now I'm developing arthritis (diagnosed with degenerative, and some arthritis about 2 years ago. I'm 67, active and eat balanced meals including fruits, vegetables, lots of water (bout my only liquid is water) I walk 6 miles a week average, and ride my bike double that probably. I also do free weights here at home at least 3 times a week. I also love to dance and like turning on my tunes and doing lots of stretches, bending and just moving to the beat ;) But I know as I age, my body will get deficient for the usual reasons. Can't get it all in the foods I buy, and I am not a perfect eater, although most days are very balanced. So maybe my arthritis would be a lot worse than it is, but even a little of it hurts like being kicked. I know people here know just what I'm talking about. I hope and pray we all find relief, and also, can somehow rebuild our bods, or at least stop the progress of the arthritis, etc.

Turmeric jar is still full since I can't seem to get passed the taste of it. When you mentioned Golden Milk, thought I'd try and find the recipe. I can handle turmeric in almond milk I'm thinking, although I haven't tried it. Also, if I mix it with other anti-inflammatories like cinnamon, ginger that was ok for a very, short time. I can't get away from bread so far, I don't know what effect that would have on me. I know many say gluten is bad for them but I don't think I have an issue with that, and eat very little. I've heard a lot about turmeric though so I am going to look for something to put it in so I can gag it down, lol! Or maybe just use capsules. I have a bag of those I was putting Cayenne pepper in. I should start using the cayenne again too ;)

HI U OLE PATOOTS DOIN,,,,,,,,,,,,
Just got sent to school about what's what as far as DMSO is concerned. In my day DMSO was made from Black Liquor from the paper industry. Now all that is by the wayside as of 2010. Now DMSO is made the same way worldwide. But like anything else, some make a more pure product than others as with all companies.
I got into this research because some posters kept using the term Organic MSM. Cannot find any MSM product made from a plant. MSM is the product of the reaction of DMSO and Hydrogen Peroxide. Neither of these products are made from plants. So why is the term Organic used? My self, I think it's another promotion thing.
This article is what sent me to school. Hope it helps all to better understand that MSM is made in plants cannot be recovered for a supplement. That is down by a chemical reaction, which is not Organic.

I don't know what you mean by 'organic sulfur'. I have dmso and msm. I also have a bag of 100% pure sulfur that is used in my chickens dustbaths for pest control, as well as other uses in the garden. I'm really having an issue with my index finger knuckle--feels swollen like it needs to pop but won't and it hurts. Do I take this garden sulfur? How much? I have empty capsules I can put it in (it smells bad! ). The msm lotion and dmso don't seem to do anything for this pain, but it's only been a week of 1x/d application. I open mail at work-lots of mail- and this makes it really hard to do my job. Thanks.

MOM,,,,,, just hold on. Don't take that sulfur, least you will end up in your local ER. I took issue with the organic sulfur poster and figured they would mess some folks up. Think they were referring to MSM which we do for arthritis. Suggest you go to a nutritional store and talk to them. They have MSM capsules. Normally folks buy 1000 mg capsules and initially take one to two a day with meals. Increase slowly as gas can be a side effect. You can get a good liniment and follow that with your DMSO. Won't solve your problem, but should give you some pain relief. You are smart to try to get clarification and this should be a lesson to posters that they can cause grief, if not careful.
Wish you well. ======ORH======

Thanks, ORH. I did stop in and get some msm tablets. Last night, I mixed up some dmso with my mag oil because I have terrible leg/feet cramps at night. I'm sure it will help once I get it built up to the correct level. I take potassium, too. For my arthritis, I've been applying tiger balm which doesn't help much. Think today I'll put the dmso on over it. I have an msm lotion but it's like 15%, so I can add some dmso to that and increase the dose. Will have to think on that one. I get awful reactions when I try anything new, so the msm tablet (should have gotten powder) I dissolved in 1/3 c water and took 1 tbs of that. Also, what I got has sorbitol in it so I"ll hve to pay more attention next time. Thanks for your help. I did do more research yesterday and see that 'organinc sulfur' is apparently not msm and not the garden kind, but a unique product that is not widely advertised and you have to work to find it.

Hi all. I recently discovered this website. Very nice. I have never before been into natural remedies. As I get older I am finding that the doctors don't have a clue. Sad to say because I like my doctors. So here it is, I have been using borax for arthritis for 2 weeks now. I had to call in to work today because the pain is so severe. Is this normal? I have continued to take most of my prescribed meds from the doc. Should I stop taking them in order for the borax to do it's job? Also my diet is not very good. Could this be making my reaction worse? I am 53 years old, 5' 6" and 250 lbs. Yes I know I am very overweight. Hopefully I can get through this and get back to moving around and start a regular exercise routine but for now the pain is just too much. I also take levothyroxin for thyroid, and am menopausal. Any advice any one can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Flax Oil and Cottage Cheese

I used the Budwig Protocol many years ago for an awful case of psoriasis and did my own research - I read Dr. Budwigs books and understood the science behind her great body of work. I followed her protocol exactly. In under 3 months, my psoriasis was history.
My point? Dairy products have many added pesticide residues and hormones - and many patients do not acquire a "cure" if they choose or cannot afford organic products. After reading Dr. Budwigs books, I understood why she had success and suggests her methodologies. I trusted her research - hence, I got cured. I eat her focc recipe (flaxseed oil cottage cheese) once a week only because it's delicious.
To do your own research - go to http://www.budwig-videos.com. This source is very reliable because it was created by the yahoo moderator since the early 90's.

Oregano Oil

I believe I have the onset of arthritis in my hands, however that is not how I stumbled on to this remedy. One evening I woke up with a terrible throbbing pain in one hip. It would not stop with Ibuprophen, ACV or Tiger Balm. I've been using essential oils a lot in the past year and I also have strong faith so I said a prayer and sifted through my essential oils. I landed on oregano oil, I know it has strong medicinal value because it is a staple in thieves oil that I make. So I put 6 drops with a carrier oil (almond) and rubbed it directly into the area. Later I researched it and sure enough there were many articles on the effectiveness of oregano oil with fibromyalgia, arthritis, bursitis, joint pain. The pain went away rather quickly, 20 minutes. I put another dose before I went to bed and woke up with no pain. Funny thing the hand that I used to put on the ointment had no joint pain. The night before I had excess oil that I rubbed mostly into one hand. The other hand I did have pain in my joints. So this is definitely a keeper in my home remedy journal.

What brand did you use? I had never heard of it and when I looked it up it wasn't any clearer.
"Despite its name, vitamin O is not a vitamin. But, it's a little hard to know exactly what it is. Manufacturers are not clear about the chemical formula. One supplier describes its product as a mildly buffered solution of deionized water and sodium chloride with a pH of 7.2. Another supplier lists magnesium peroxide as the active ingredient. Still another claims the ingredients are secret. Sometimes vitamin O is called “liquid oxygen.” But keep in mind that oxygen only exists in a liquid form at temperatures below -183 degrees C.
The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) states that vitamin O appears to be nothing more than saltwater."

Prolotherapy

About 5 years ago I tripped and almost fell. I was afraid if I had I would break a hip. However in not falling and catching myself I tore my ACLs. When I finally went to the Orthopedic guy he basically told me I needed a knee replacement and that I had a very arthritic knee. He seemed to delight in showing me how they would just slice those joints off and bolt on some aparatus. I declined at that point and in a later appointment they injected some Chicken comb material supposed to help the bones glide better with a large needle that looked sort of like a turkey baster. Needless to say it was quite an experience and I have done everything I could to stay out of his office. ACV seemed to help some, but I realized I was getting less and less active because I was in pain. About a year ago, I went to a Chiropractor and she told me about Prolotherapy and how it could help me. It's a treatment where they inject sugar water in your ligaments, causing inflammation which make them stronger when they heal. Due to having flashbacks of the turkey baster, I just let time pass. Finally about a month ago I realized I had to do something and sugar water was a hell of a lot less invasive than having my knee joint cut out. So, several days ago I went in for my first Prolotherapy session. She did an ultrasound of my knee and there were large bone spurs in the area of the most pain. She numbed the area and injected the sugar water and compared to the turkey baster - it was a walk in the park! But the greatest thing is - it's 3 days later and it's at least 75% better if not more! I went grocery shopping yesterday without any pain! I'm climbing the stairs in my house with no problem! Of course, insurance won't pay for it. So I'm out $285. But I don't care! I figure I'll probably have to have another session, but I am so stoked about this I had to share! The pictures on the internet (Youtube) are a little scary and I think that was why I was so reticent. It's just such a relief to think about doing things and realizing you can because you're not hurting anymore.

Here is an excellent article for anyone with arthritic type complaints. It is entitled: "
ARTHRITIS, A NEEDLESS CRIPPLER" by Dr. John R. Christopher
From the article 3 things can improve the condition even if nothing else is done.
1. eliminate meat from the diet
2. eliminate refined sugar from diet
3. drink plenty of "distilled water"
The article is excellent. It talks about how inorganic calcium in water builds up around the joints. Red meat contains uric acid which exacerabates the problem. ACV helps to dissolve the calcium build up. Herbs to take are also recommended.
I also recommend Dr. Christopher's book on natural healing. He was somewhat of a guru on natural healing and also has an amazing personal story.
