Yesterday, I bought a "Heat Wrap" for my mom who is 76 years old. This Heat Wraps is for powerful pain relief and deep muscle relaxation. She is pretty much healthy, but she suffers from Arthritis on her back and both knees. As soon as she put the wrap on her back the heat wrap started getting warm, and she could not stand it for more than 45 minutes. She had to remove the wrap, and she felt a burning sensation on her the bases of her both feet. Now, she suffers from a great amount of pain and she does not have any energy at all. I called to take her to her doctor, but he is on leave till next week. What do you think is the problem and what natural remedy will be helpful in her case?

Sara has your mom tired apple cider vinegar for her arthritis. If you look at the arthritis remedies page on this website many people have cured their arthritis by drinking ACV with honey and bicarb of soda.

Also for the deep muscle pain, magnesium oil rubbed in the area should help with that or magnesium chloride in bath water or even epson salts would help, although magnesium chloride is better and longer lasting.

Glyconutrients, Omega 3

I had arthritis in my fingers, painful, red, swollen. I started taking glyconutrients and a very pure Omega 3 twice a day and within two weeks I was pain free up until now. I started using these products May 2010 and my whole life changed for the better. Hot flushes gone, skin like a baby, no more flu and just feeling vibrantly healthy everyday. Will never go without it.

Dear Bill

The link doesn't work to Dr Rex's nutritional study that you referred to above!

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Amy

Turmeric
Posted by Lee (Palm Desert, Ca) on 06/01/2014

I understood turmeric does not work for arthritis unless taken with "fats". I couldn't figure out how am I going to take it with fats, but I see a post below that has butter with it, so will check that out.

Maybe if you use it in the cup of milk recipe on here, it will work. I have a whole bottle of caps that I have been wanting to take but don't know how to take it with fats. A friend of mine spreads a ts. of it on her chicken when she is frying it. any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I sprinkle turmeric and ginger on eggs, baked potatoes and vegetables with a little salt-free butter (I use sea salt) and/or coconut oil. You can add some to potato salad, egg salad or tuna. When I sip turmeric in a little water, I take a spoonful of lecithin granules.

Poke Berries
Posted by Kathryn (Tulsa, Ok ) on 03/03/2011

Hello! My dad called me the other day to ask me to check online for poke berries to help him with severe arthritus pain he's been suffering with even with medication. I had never heard of such a thing being taken for that. And, like most everyone else, we had always been taught that they were poisonus! So, I started digging and came across this page. In my search I noticed that, even though it is available in the wild, no one mentioned where it might be purchased. Since we are not currently in a growing season, where might one PURCHASE poke berries to take till he can harvest his own? Alos, are there any pointers on harvesting?

Thank you so much for offering this thread and opportunity to reply!
Kathryn

Hi thanks so much for all the info you've researched and shared its making what I think is a big difference as a someone only recently diagnosed with RA.

My query is I am taking along with probiotics vit k2 vit d3 and borax with magnesium tablets as well. The magnesium supplement is a mag calcium complex with the ingredients as mag. As oxide citrate. Is this right as I am worried that taking calcium as bottle label suggests is interfering with the healing process.

Many thanks Chris

I have to say that when I worked in Pharmacy years ago, there was a patient who came in and swore by this recipe. She used white raisins, instead of grapes, though. But I have to say that she had severe rheumatoid arthritis in her hands to where they were starting to curl and after beginning this treatment she always showed off to me how pretty her handwriting was and how straight her fingers were. I've seen it myself...I'm a believer.

Can you [or anyone pls clarify? Turmeric what? Tincture perhaps? One Tsp would seem to indicate a fluid but it can also be chopped fine out of the fresh root!

I have been a Turmeric fan for several years since I discovered that the Tincture will eradicate 'phantom itches' in minutes. I also use it in raw plant form; a great herb!

EC: Poster from 2009 probably used turmeric powder.

How effective has this been? And how long did you do this before you started feeling relief from arthritis? Thank you.

Multiple Remedies
Posted by Katie (Philadelphia, PA) on 01/27/2009

Hi all, I absolutely love this site. I've used many of the cures (tea tree oil to avoid headlice in 5yr old daughter, turmeric and ginger tea for MRSA) and have come away with perfect results. However, I've been diagnosed with arthritis in my hip and it has been suggested to me the only way to relieve my pain is to have my hip replaced. I'm 30 yrs young, I do not want to resort to surgery just yet so naturally I've come to earthclinic for advice. I've been drinking 2tbs of raw, unfiltered ACV with 1tsp of organic honey or Agave Nectar in 8oz hot water every night for the last 3 weeks and it has done nothing for my pain. I decided to add 1 spoonful of blackstrap molasses every morning to my regime (just started this yesterday) and also added 1/2 tsp of turmeric to my ACV tonic. I was hoping for some relief this morning, but I'm still in pain and limping around. I'm going to continue with all of the above, but wanted to see if anyone had any other advice or perhaps just some words of assurance that this could eventually reduce my pain. Sincerely, Katie

Cinnamon and Honey

Hi Rob, I have ceylon cinnamon capsules that are 600mg. Would I still take four capsules or reduce to 3? Hopefully you are not taking cassia cinnamon due to the liver problems it creates. Thank you for the information on inflammation you provided!

I have tried many remedies. MSM is great for joint pain. CGF a concentrated form of chlorella will cure almost anything from a lowered immune system including cancer. fish oil has helped with depression. Fiber, ACV, probiotics they are all wonderful. I had AS a rare form of arthritis and experimenting with supplements has sent it into remission for years.

Oil Pulling

Hi. I only discovered about oil pulling while browsing the web on information on how to cure me of my skin disorder (keratosis pillaris). I read a posting done by this lady who SWEARS by oil pulling and its remarkable effects! I tried it just yesterday and was shocked at how fast results can be observed! I'm suffering from a knee injury due to my active lifestyle and since i'm not exactly young, i don't recover too easily. I've been having a bad knee for weeks now. But when i did my first oil pulling yesterday, i got IMMEDIATE results! My knee felt so light and i was able to do squats with no problems! I'm really a sceptic so i was finding ways to credit the improved knee flexibility to other 'health practices' of mine. But when my mom tried it later that night (she sufferes from acute arthritis), she too said that her joints felt remarkably better! i did it again this morning and later today, my heart was racing. Also, i feel a bit of discomfort in my private region. I don't know if it could be because i had an infection before and it was probably in the process of healing... i'll continue the OP and see what happens! I'm a convert!

Ginger
Posted by Richard (USA) on 12/15/2006

Dear Suzanne: Thanks for tip. I'm going to the shopping centre where the health food store is this afternoon....and I'll get some ginger root. My ankle is in bad shape. If it were a knee or a hip....I'd have a replacement.....but they can't do that very well at this point with ankles. When we return from Viet Nam I'm looking at ankle-fusion surgery. It's not quite as bad as it sounds. One still has some movement where the leg meets the foot......and the pain stops!

I have tried this recipe. When taken regulary it seems to be very helpful. There's several of my friends who find it helpful too.

I also recently lost 25 pounds, with the help of Raw apple cider vinger. I use it for a daily detox, antiseptic for scratchs, minor burns, mostly to help alakalize my body. Most americans have more acid in akaline in there systems.I take about a shot a day. I can really tell when I am not faithful, and eat poorly.

Try bromelain for joint pain it helps. Has anyone ever tried noni juice it helps also.

Bromelain, derived from the pineapple plant, is one of a group of proteolytic enzymes (enzymes capable of digesting protein).

Jello
Posted by Cheryl (Georgia) on 09/24/2021

I'm interested in the jello for joints! Do I take just one cup a week in beginning? Or one cup a day? I suffer also, not being able to get pain managed and on strong medication that defeats the purpose as the medication makes it hard for me to walk also!

I really hope this helps! I'm eaten up with arthritis in my spine in my arms and hands. This will be a real answer to my prayers!

Thank you for sharing!

Glucosamine and Chondroitin

I'm looking for the name of Glucosamine for arthritis from Switzerland. Someone had mentioned that the brand was very effective compared to others in another post I cannot find.

Please if someone can help it would be great.

I have bone spurs and arthritis. A friend learned of my condition and advised these supplements: 250mg. Magnesium Oxide, (promotes bone and muscle health) and Super B complex, 250 mg. (promotes energy and metabolism). USE AS DIRECTED ON BOTTLE. Along with these supplements, I mix 1-64oz. bottle of pure 100% apple juice, and 1-64 oz. bottle of 100% grape juice, and 1-cup apple cider vinegar. Mix all liquids together and store in refrigerator. Drink 1/3 cup of mixture 3x a day. It has worked for me! Thanks and may you all be blessed with wonderful health! And remember, WE ARE WHAT WE EAT!
