I did my research and THEE BEST home remedy for a bladder infection is... 1) Drink LOTS of water! Just keep taking water down! It will help flush out the bacteria that causes the inflammations! 2) Take vitamin C 3) Have a warm bath! It helps relieve the burning. I have had this bladder infection for about 2 days and now that i am drinking a HUGE amount of water the burning is going away... and i have to go to the bathroom a lot which is a great thing because it gives me the chance to drain all of the bacteria.

The moment I feel a bladder infection coming on, I mix up a batch of watermelon seed tea. It's an Edgar Cayce cure I've been using with great success for the last few years. AMAZING STUFF! Within a day or two the infection is completely gone! I've tried numerous other natural remedies with little success. Cranberry juice, canned asparagus, Alka-Seltzer, etc., only gave me minimal relief. It has also worked for my son's girlfriend. She has no insurance, so it's a miracle for her. The only place I've been able to find it is at the Heritage Store in Virginia Beach. You can order it online and it's not expensive. It's a very simple remedy and really worth a try! Hope it works for you too!

P.S. The therapeutic dose is 1 tablespoon per 2 cups of boiling water. Just drink it until the symptoms subside and repeat as necessary.

Watermelon seed tea works for Bladder Infections. Just sprinkle about a half teaspoon in a mug and a cup of hot water. Take about 3 times a day, everyday until the pain is gone. Very effective. It has a bland taste.

A great home remedy for UTI's is watermelon and a 1/2 tsp of baking soda mixed into a 8 fl. oz. cup of water. for instant relief i take a azo pill (sold at any pharmacy) and that will take care of the pain but to get rid of the infection i eat as much watermelon as i can and the backing soda mixture so then by the time the pill is done so is the UTI!

Don't like the pill bit, and I don't understand why the baking soda has to go with it, but definitely can vouch for the watermelon doing its thing when the need arises! Eat nothing else but watermelon for a whole day (or longer if you wish) and the infection is gone. Easier in summer time when there is lots of them!

Warning! Baking soda is ok once and awhile, although doctors have recently reported that too much baking soda can cause kidney damage, or burn out the kidneys..xo

Hello everyone.
I just want to relate my intense struggle with trying to cure a Urinary tract infection. I hate going to the hospital. I have actually had doctors misdiagnose me and tell me I didn't have a UTI, when I actually did, and then be forced to return with worsened symptoms, and have them finally confirm it. Anyways, after battling my latest UTI for a month, I got desperate, and drank a glass of white distilled vinegar.
I choked it down, it wasn't easy. I was nauseous for about an hour and a half afterwards, and chased it with a couple of glasses of water, but, Guess what? My symptoms were gone the next day, I swear to God. I'm still drinking plenty of fluids, all manner of Herbal tea, etc, and cranberry supplements. About two days after drinking the vinegar, I drank, another Quarter glass, the rest of it filled with water, and drank that. Just to be sure. It worked, it's been a month, symptom free. Let me tell you, I tried, Azo, Cystex, about 10 cranberry pills a day, Alka Zeltzer, Baking soda, Lemon ginger tea, everything. Vinegar works. Results ladies!!!

Right Now I'm 18 and For My Bladder infections I've always treated them with Vinegar. What you do is get a tall clear glass and pour some vinegar into the bottom (little) and then fill glass with tap water filtered water. This is what I do so drink it down and drink a few glasses of water, wait till your bladder feels about halfway full before urninating cause the vinegar needs to be given enough time to work. When you go to the bathroom it should not hurt all. That's the cure for preventation.

First: don't take baths the water could be dirty and can somehow end up in your bladder 2nd: Wash good while showering penis needs to be washed good as well when showering.

I have Found out From my Extremely Smart parents that stuff like Soda Pop can cause Bladder infections. The cure, and this is the only cure i did, was using plain White vinegar. Turns out it gets rid of it fast but if you get the Infection in the Afternoon and was very painful I strongly recommend that you drink fresh cold filtered water for the rest of the entire day. It will do you good big time.

I tried white vinegar and water for my bladder infection, and it did not work at all. I put 2-3 tablespoons in a tall glass of water, then drank another glass of just water immediately afterwards. Maybe the infection was already too far along for the vinegar to be effective, but I just ended up with a sore throat and a vinegar taste in my mouth while I was sitting in the emergency room of the hospital at 1:00 am that morning.

Zinc

Posted by Gavin (Manganui, Northland, New Zealand) on 07/07/2011

With regards to bladders. Dont forget they need zinc, far more than any other area of the body, that includes the reproductive system as well.. You can take all the herbal wonders in the world but if the essential elements are not in the body, they will just be builders waiting for the cement to arrive.

This makes SO much sense. My daughter had a UTI onset the evening after she got a mild sunburn. To heal the skin, especially from burns, the body uses zinc. If she was already depleted, then resources would be stretched even further and the cells could not be resistant at all! I am a firm believer that deficiency and toxicity are the two true causes of all illness. Adding zinc to the plan is already making a huge difference. Thanks!
