REMEDY FOR URINATION WHEN ON TRIP

My elderly great aunt would go to the spice cabinet before going for a ride or shopping where she would be gone for several hours. One time while waiting for her at age 92, I asked her why she went to the spice cabinet all the time when we had to take her someplace she said "I will not have to go to anyone's bathroom anywhere to urinate." She took a half a teaspoon of nutmeg and put in her left hand PALM and lick all of it then drink a small amount of water and that would take care of any urge.

I asked her where she learned that and she said from my grandmother as when she was young they would sell eggs from the horse cart and didn't want to stop for that anywhere. I witnessed that when taking her ANY PLACE THAT SHE NEVER HAD TO GO USE A BATHROOM ANYWHERE. I would say it worked very well for her as she was a very modest lady and never wanted to bother anyone.

Nutmeg for Overactive Bladder and Stress Incontinence:

I am shocked to say it absolutely worked. I went to the store and bought some nutmeg. Ate a little on the way home and nearly immediately it stopped my nearly constant urge to use the restroom. Amazing.

My bladder leaking was getting worse from light leaking to a sudden flood. I tried nutmeg and it helped a bit but not much. I now take pumpkin seed oil - 2 1000 mg capsules a day and no leaks at all. I hope this helps someone else.

I like this, thanks. I've started having nutmeg in my coffee and noticed an approvement in my bladder.

So now I know it must be the nutmeg. I will try the way you say to have it, and with water. Thanks again.

PS I enjoyed reading your one.

I have been waking with the urge to urinate 3 and sometimes 4 times through the night for a few years now. Often then I could not get back to sleep. I found by taking a spoon full of creamed clover honey I would get back to sleep quickly. One night while going to bed and not feeling sleepy I decided to take a spoonful before going to bed. Wonderful I slept all night with no urge to go. I now take a spoonful every night at bed time and some night get up once and just as often not at all.

Jade.. I have experienced similar symptoms to what you described with bladder. When I would go it was small amounts but ALL the time. Which made me think it could be a blockage in the urinary tract from toxins medications Etc. I started taking Diatomaceous earth powder one teaspoon a day in water--- there is no flavor whatsoever... it's just a little gritty in the water. Just mix it in a quarter of a cup to half a cup of water and drink it on empty stomach. I eventually increased up to 3 teaspoons a day. My bladder symptoms decreased and I started going normal amounts and far less frequently. And bladder irritation symptoms resolved. It's an amazing dietary supplement and has so many benefits for so many things. Do some research and see what you think. I found no side effects except the first day it tends to also clean out your colon (one run to the bathroom one time..but after that first those it never had that effect again). I realize this post is old and you may not see my response but maybe this can help others.

Grandma was right. I have been having an on and off leaking problem in the morning when I have my morning coffee. 3 days ago it became a flood. I used 1/8 tsp nutmeg per each 1 cup. By the second day the problem is completely gone. I put tsp powdered cocoa to make the taste milder and some creamer. Thank you so much

Urinary Problems: Started taking apple cider vinegar after reading of all the health benefits. I really like it with tomato juice. After about a week I noticed that I sleep through the night without needing to get up to visit the bathroom. I am very happy about this and feel far more energetic during the day. Thank you earth clinic!

This absolutely worked! I was going to the restroom very frequently and found that my urge had no warning. It would come on and then I would have an accident. So I tried the nutmeg and I had immediate results and will be taking it regularly/everyday. I drank the usual amount of water that I would have and though I felt the need, it wasn't overwhelming as it once was, the urge is no longer frequent and I have better control. As mentioned, the results were immediate upon ingesting the grounded nutmeg. Thank you!

Stachys Lavandulifolia
Posted by Kasra (Terhan) on 05/09/2016

I'm not sure where you can find it, as I'm living in Iran, you can find it at most of the herbal stores, they call it something like " mountain tea ( as it's found in mountains ) " which I know, no one else in the world calls it under this name..

Just to clarify, you can drink it alone or you can mix it with tea, tea is not an essential at all, so please forget about tea itself, I'm not talking about tea here at all, but what helped me was stachys ' lavandulifolia'.

First of all, please stop drinking cola or any other acidic-alcoholic beverages, smoking and if you were going to drink orange juice, don't forget to dilute it with water or mix it with " sweet lemon " to make a wonderful drink, do the same with any other acidic drinks - if they are organic and beneficial don't forget to " dilute " with water, and if it's not, you should avoid them as much as possible.

But what you must look for is called stachys and its species is ' lavandulifolia' and so important to find the right species, I have no idea about the other species, so I hope Earth Clinic just correct the headline from stachys to stachys ' lavandulifolia' to prevent any misconceptions.

You can make it exactly the same way as you make tea, boil the water and when water started boiling lower the heat just in case of keeping the water hot, put stachys ' lavandulifolia' in water and let it rest for at least 15 minutes while the water remains hot ( but not still boiling ), then it's ready to drink.

Wish I could send some of it to you, I hope you find it and try it and leave the feedback here for rest, in need of help.

Kind regards.

Castor Oil

I woke up with pain in my bladder area. Usually I use frankincense essential oil, a drop massaged into the lower abdomen a couple of times a day when I realize I have a bladder infection coming on. I was horrified to find my frankincense oil bottle completely empty.

On to plan B.

I poured some castor oil into my hand and massaged in into my lower abdomen. A while later (less than an hour) I realized the pain was gone.

I think I caught the bladder infection early; not sure that it would have worked so easily if the infection was more established.

Avoid Sugar

For years I suffered with frequent episodes of over active bladder, most always accompanied by headaches in the forehead region and most noticed at night. Tests for infection were always negative.

It wasn't until the last couple of years that I discovered that consuming sugar caused these flare ups. I believe that I had systemic Candida.

Now, as long as I strictly limit the amount of sugar I consume, I have no more bladder issues, headaches or body aches.

Dear Ashwin,

I take nutmeg in the morning when I know I will be out for the day. It keeps me from needing so many rest room visits. Having had a number of children I have a prolapse problem and the nutmeg really seems to help me with that. I am not sure exactly what it is doing though I have scoured my herb books looking for answers. Nutmeg is just not a commonly used herb.

For that reason, I only use it as needed. 1/4 teaspoon in the morning seems to be enough for me for 24 hours.

I have been able to ascertain that it is contraindicated in pregnancy. (Obviously that is not an issue for your mother, just mentioning this for others who are reading.)

I don't know that it would need to be taken with a full glass of water - I take it with a few other supplements with a few ounces of water. It seems that taking it with a cup of water at once might defeat the purpose. Though I certainly drink plenty of water all day even when I am out for the day, just not large quantities at once. (I put my nutmeg in a homemade capsule for convenience.)

Regular use of red raspberry leaf tea is also helpful for toning the bladder if you drink a cup or two each day. I just get lazy about this and then use nutmeg.

I would not try more than 1/4 teaspoon a day and see how that does. If you mother is on the petite side, even 1/8 teaspoon may be enough.

Also, look for a list of diuretic foods and avoid those on days going out. Oatmeal is a great diuretic. I do not eat it on days I plan to be gone all day. I notice that oatmeal for breakfast makes me and my younger children need more frequent restroom visits. I think that is great, unless we are away from home for the day and multiple potty stops would be inconvenient.

I have not noticed any side effects personally.

If you try it for your mother, let us know how it works for her!

Thanks!

~Mama to Many~

Apple Cider Vinegar

I was awaked from feeling the urge to pee this morning. And later when I went again, I felt the burning sensation and a bit of blood in my urine. I immediately mixed 2 tbsp of organic Apple cider vinegar and 4 oz of water to drink. I also tried dabbing ACV to where I pee for 20 minutes, and the burning sensation subsided when I went again, which was about 30 minutes later, but I saw more blood in my urine. I was worried for a while and thinking if I should go see a doctor instead. But, I continued drinking ACV every hour. Then, by noon I felt normal again. I don't feel the urge to go, no more burning sensation, and no blood in the urine.

I'll continue to drink ACV, 2 tbsp 8 oz of water (I cut down the ACV as I feel better already), for the next couple of days to make sure the infection is completely gone.

Thanks to the Earth Clinic and all the people posting their experiences with the ACV remedy. I'm now pain free. I cannot thank you enough.

In January I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst, in May with chronic polypoid cystitis of the bladder. I had general discomfort throughout my abdomen, flank and pelvic area- not sure what condition was causing what pain. Also had what I believe was arthritic pain in my hip. Only remedy for polypoid cystitis that doctor recommended was painkillers- I declined- or ibuprofen, which I did not want to take on a regular basis. Did some reserch on natural anti-inflammatories, and found lots of info on turmeric. I just went to my local drug store, and bought turmeric capsules, I think they are 500 mg. I started taking 2 pills 2x a day, for a couple of days, then decreased to 2 pills 1x a day, and after just a week or so I stopped taking them altogether. Amazing, but all of my aches and pains disappearred! No bladder pain- no flank pain- no hip pain! If I feel a twinge of anything, I take 2 turmeric, and that does the trick. I am hooked!

For the irritable bladder, not infectious cystitis, I found an acupuncture remedy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and it is the 62V point of the bladder meridian.

Massaging this point clockwise (toning) I found immediate relief. Neither allopathic (conventional) medicine, nor bioenergetic medicine, nor homeopathic medicine offered me a solution.

Thank God I found healing when I was already very frustrated and disappointed.

EC: Thank you, Luis! For those interested in locating this point: Type "62V shen mai" into Google images to see the meridian point just below the shin bone (Tibia).

To Lucia, whose husband has an enlarged bladder:

If he takes a lot of medications or even natural supplements with fillers those fillers can accumulate in the kidney and bladder --clogging things up and slowing the stream or blocking urination altogether. I found diatomaceous earth got my bladder working right again. Take one teaspoon in 1/2 cup of water on an empty stomach. You can gradually increase the amount up to 3 teaspoons a day or more. If your husband is under a physician's care for bladder issue you might run this by him or her. In general it is a very safe supplement for most people. I doubt your doctor will have even heard of it. You might have to print something out for them.

Stachys ' lavandulifolia':.

I've been suffering from bladder pain almost my whole life. All of a sudden a friend of mine gave me some herbal tea and insist me to use it, I refused to take it because I don't drink anything even water unless I have to.

I don't know exactly what made me add it to tea and drink it, and after using it I yet didn't realize that it made me don't feel my bladder anymore that bothered me a lot during the day, right after drinking anything, while peeing and when I was sleeping at nights ( I woke up 3/4 times per night to go to bathroom even when my bladder was not full it forced me to go bathroom and have a painful urination ).

Anyway, I'm using it almost everyday, and here are the results that I never experienced in my life with anything else before:

  • I don't feel my bladder anymore even if it is full.
  • I can have a easy urination, with comfort and without feeling that it is getting blocked in my urethra.
  • I can sleep much better at nights without having urge to go to bathroom ( I only wake up once ).
  • I can hold myself without feeling pain for a very longer durations.

I like the scent it gives to tea, you can have it without tea, I guess it can make even better results if you take it solo.

I hope it helps you all with bladder issues, it is a relief in my life and I seriously like it and recommend it to everybody, not only people with bladder issues, but anyone who wants to enjoy an amazing herbal tea. you should prepare it exactly how you prepare tea.

I take two glass mixed with tea everyday.

Make sure to not add sugar or other sweetener to make best results , but I take dates with it myself :-) ( with cookies it was still effective but not as much as I took it with dates ). I don't think many people are aware of it yet, but I hope everyone will.
