Oregano Oil

I tried ACV, the spicy tomato tea, the onion halves with brown sugar, and the garlic soup. Especially the tomato tea and ACV brought some temporary relief from a month-long cough and sinus congestion that I'd had almost as long. As far as I'm concerned, though, the #1 choice and remedy should be Oil of Oregano. I bought a jar last Tues. and began taking three per day with meals. I am so encouraged and feel at least 95% well again. After doing some research on it I now know that this is an amazing product! Perhaps it doesn't work the same for everyone but it has done so much for me in six days. I've also been using a good quality colloidal silver in a nasal spray bottle. This has probably worked alongside the Oil of Oregano for the sinus congestion. It cured a month-long cough/bronchitis and sinus congestion. I'm wondering now if I could have increased the dosage of Oil of Oregano to say four a day. I've stayed at 3/day since I couldn't find any info. to let me know if more would be too much of a good thing. Any thoughts on that?

DMSO, Colloidal Silver

DMSO + colloidal silver nebuliser (Asthma / bronchitis)

Second bout of acute bronchitis and asthma flare up this winter in past 48 hours, combined with a cold.

Symptoms: Initially severe sore throat for 24 hours. Then cold symptoms, rhinitis, sneezing, running nose, blocked / inflamed nose, struggling to breath via nose. Tight chest, heavy feeling at top of chest, Rales (also called crackles). Struggled to sleep due to congestion. Exhausted, low mood.

Just FYI: I do not manage asthma with steroids and rarely use (relief) salbutamol inhalers. Have been relying on Buteyko breathing and other forms of anti-inflation.

I had very good results within 24 hours using the following:

Colloidal silver is a powerful and natural antibiotic.

Colloidal silver used with DMSO is a potent combination, given DMSO's nature. Along with amplifying substances and giving them greater access to tissues, DMSO is bacteriostatic (meaning it inhibits bacteria). This combination can be used to deal with any level of infection systemically or topically.

DMSO has antimicrobial properties, is a muscle relaxant, Increases production of white cells and macrophages, important cells for the immune system, Increases cell membrane permeability, allowing for removal of toxins, Is an effective pain killer, blocking nerves conducting pain signals and importantly is Reduces inflammation and swelling by affecting inflammatory chemicals.

Sources: Healing with DMSO by Amandha Vollmer, her book is a must have.

The below is a combination of Amandha's advice and my own experimentation.

Topical solution:

50% DMSO (15ml) + 50% distilled water (15ml). Added 10ml of 15ppm Colloidal silver. 3 Drops of iodine (make sure nascent for use with c/silver).

Applied this to chest and bridge of nose.

Note: You would normally want 70-80% DMSO but I find the reaction on my skin too great, so I went for a lower amount. But applied regularly. 4-6 times a day, especially before bed.

Always clean skin before applying as DMSO will carry anything it touches into your blood stream.

I like apply with a brush (make sure the brush is not made of synthetic fibres and does not have dies in it, as DMSO is a solvent and will leach these and take them into your blood street). But also sometimes use cotton wool. You can apply with your hands, but then you have to be careful what you touch and not wash your hands with water for 20 mins.

Apply a thin layer on, allow it to dry, do not put clothes on or touch any fabrics washed in detergents until its dry and ideally for up-to 20 mins.

It can be very itchy and even a bit sore, try not to use your fingers as it'll soak in to your skin and you then have to be careful what you touch as mentioned above, have some clean and wooden nearby to deal with any itching for first 10-20mins.

I then normally apply pure aloe vera to reduce itching and soreness.

Sinus Rinse:

Normal saline netti pot. 10ml of DMSO 1/2 of c/Silver.

I don't go too crazy with this, my nose cavity was not only stuffed up with mucus but also was inflamed to point I could barely breath. This solution reduced the swelling and allowed me to breath. I used it every time it got blocked probably every 2-3 hours.

As soon as I could breath fairly normally and my nose stopped running I stopped this. I prefer to let the body do its own thing as much as possible and not nuke everything with anti-bacterial agents like c/silver.

Nebuliser:

I'm cautious what I inhale, I have tried c/silver and glutathione and saline before. And very low dose hydrogen peroxide and saline. The latter made wheezing worse.

After getting a good response from topical application to the chest. I tried the following and had excellent results:

33% DMSO (1.25ml) 67% Distilled water (2 x 1.25ml) + then added 2.5ml c/silver to that solution.

I nebulized this in two sessions an hour or so apart.

This cleared chest and stopped wheezing almost immediately and had a calming effect. Cough became productive and some dark yellow phlegm came out. The heavy feeling in upper chest reduced. There was still a cough but the rales and crackles stopped within in a few minutes, which I assume is the anit-inflamatory effect of DMSO.

On second session.

5ml DMSO / 5ml distilled saline water / 5ml C/silver.

I did this 3 times a day and reduced the topical application to 3 times.

A note on timings of my experiments:

Sore throat appeared Thursday night. Friday morning cold and nose issues. And by end of the day cough. Saturday chronic cough and nose issues. I was taking DMSO for a pain condition, so it was already in my system.

Started DMSO protocol above Saturday with topical applications to chest and nose area. And then nasal rinses in the afternoon.

By Sunday morning, there was a marked improvement and managed to get a full nights sleep on Saturday after waking up and having poor sleep due to breathing difficulties and discomfort Thur-Friday.

Sunday applied topical solution to chest and nose first thing. An hour later, nebulised. By Sunday lunch time there was a significant improvement after 3 nebulising sessions and two topical application to the chest. Whilst still a bit stuffy, have been able to breath through nose all Sunday.

Extremely successful intervention on this occasion.

I have struggled for years with bronchitis. Mullein ultimately helped a lot along with quercetin and black seed oil (cumin oil).

Now, when I take those combined with ivermectin, I don't have bronchitis for more than a few days. It's just making sure I always have it all on hand! I use a powerful mullein tincture (Not Natures Answer- that one didn't seem to work).

Steaming the Lungs
Posted by Rob (Kentucky) on 09/05/2024

Inhalations of steam, medicated or not, are often of great service in alleviating distress and pain of breathing in throat affections, such as hoarseness, ordinary sore throat, diphtheria, quinsy, in loss of voice from catarrh - ' common cold ' and in bronchitis. The preparation and application are very simple the mouth is held over a jug of boiling water, and the steamy vapour inhaled along with air. The benefit and relief derived from these inhalations is explicable in several ways. The warm moist particles restore the circulation in the congested mucous membrane, soften the tissue, and enable absorption to take place ; whilst the moist warm air having less oxygen in it and we see in the case of a burn or scald how air (oxygen) helps on the fire and inflammation- if we bar the access of it to the inflamed surface, relief is given. Of course in throat affections we could not stop off all the oxygen, for the patient would die suffocated, but we can limit it, and then what does reach the tissue is all the more efficiently absorbed, from the softness and permeability produced by the steam.

Old nurses are fond of adding sage to the boiling water, and this, if it has no specific action, does no harm at any rate. In diphtheria, the greatest benefit may be derived from the addition to the water of a few grains of Iodine, a substance promoting absorption, and one that is so volatile as to be easily dispersed by the warm vapour.

Don't take any dairy if you are congested. Dairy is HIGHLY mucous forming. Dr. John Christopher and other Naturopathic doctors worth their salt will tell you to avoid it like the plague. It will make you worse off. Also taking chemical isolates will not work as well as taking whole herbs with all their constituents and buffers bound to them - which is how the body recognizes it.

Herbs for heart and the lungs include: Ginko Biloba, Hawthorn, Cayenne, Barley Grass, Panax Ginseng, Garlic, Ginger Root, Bee Pollen, Licorice Root, Wild Cherry Bark. For Lungs, Ginko Biloba, Sea vegetables, Rosemary, Chlorella, Fenugreek Seed, Comfrey, Bee Pollen, Chaparral, Pau d' Arco, Marshmallow. This came from the "Herbs & Anatomy" section of the book, How to Be Your Own Herbal Pharmacist by Dr. Linda Page, N.D. Ph.D (author of the popular book HEALTHY HEALING).

Of course you need good digestion and elimination of both digestive wastes and metabolic wastes (in your urine). Our adrenals are right on top of the kidneys. They orchestrate our endocrine system and kidneys which filter out the metabolic wastes into the urine in the form of tiny white specks right near them also both need to be functioning well as it is the toxins inside your body that can't get out that create the inflammation. So you want to put out the fire with cooling alkalizing water rich raw food and herbs that can help break down and eliminate the congestion in the lymphatic system (separate from the blood) which is supposed to transport out our metabolic wastes down to the kidneys out through the pores of our skin, our third kidney.

I diagnosed myself with viral bronchitis picked up while in public. Actually, it may be bacterial because of the symptoms. I probably picked up a virus or bacterium that invaded mu Upper respiratory tract and led to the bronchitis. Please do not go in public when you're sick. 7 miserable days later I now feel much better. I did not go to the doctor, as I treated myself at home. It was rough going but I am almost back to normal. 1 more day should do it, other than still having some bronchial secretions.

Highly recommend a pot of water heated to steam with 4 drops peppermint and 6 drops eucalyptus oils in it. Add 2 drops clove oil for sore throats. Do this 3 or 4 times/day about 15 mins or longer each time. Drink an organic non caffeine tea every 6 hrs. I used ginger pear tea with chamomile and lemon. I added more organic lemon juice to taste and 2 tablespoons of RAW organic honey. I added a few drops of clove oil and 2 drops of mountain oregano oil. Do not use more oregano as it is powerful and will burn your mouth, but two drops is fine. Add 2 drops of peppermint oil too. Get plenty of rest and sunshine For your immune system. Take some vitamin d too. Try not to eat too much as the blood digesting the food could be used to fight the inflammation. I should be ready to go to church tomorrow. 7-8 days to fix what can easily take up to a month to improve with traditional medical advice. hopes this helps someone.

I know this post is old but I wanted to make a comment so others can read it. NEVER take someone else's medication and especially taking only "4 days of someone's antibiotics" That is a really good way to cause antibiotics to no longer work for you. Antibiotics are to be taken for a specific number of days. You cannot just take one for 4 days. Bacteria now got a bit of it so it can learn how to survive that antibiotic and morph into a way to survive. Since she only took 4 days now the new and improved bacteria will not respond to that antibiotic.

Colloidal Silver

Dear Dave,

I thought I would second this method of dealing with a bronchial infection. This week some of my children started with a cough. One of my sons, who is generally pretty healthy, gets the most awful sounding cough, and when he does, it lasts for a long time. This week I heard that cough of his start. I thought of your colloidal silver in the nebulizer recommendation. I started him on it right away. (I was only doing this 3-4 times a day; next time I may try more.) I used 10ppm colloidal silver, about 3ml worth. I did the same thing for my smaller children who were starting to cough (I may have only done about 2ml for small ones. Even my two year old can use the nebulizer.). I am thrilled with how well this worked. Usually a cough in a big family means a good bit of missed sleep for mama. My son noticed an immediate improvement in his breathing after using the nebulizer. This week, whenever I realized anyone was coughing, I would use the nebulizer on them. I do think catching it early makes a difference. They could tell it helped. Some were asking to use it!

I did pick back up on giving homemade Elderberry syrup to everyone. (I had gotten lax about dosing over the holidays.)

So, thanks for making this method known to me! It works for us, too.

After mixing up the acv, honey and water I tried this and it is very similar to Theraflu-which I thought was both interesting and helpful because I had ok luck with Theraflu but you are only supposed to take it about every 4 hours, I need more relief than that at times.

I LOVE this site! Ever since two yrs ago when I too, stumbled upon its remedy of ACV w honey for an upper respiratory & sinus infection- very sick. The illness was working its way through all my students and faculty. Day one - I made the tea sipped and breathed in the steam from cup as prescribed. Throughout the day, I continued to drink ACV w water to thin the mucus. Day two- my symptoms were GONE!

Unfortunately, this time I waited too long to take ACV w water(also did not do it often enough) so it would not fight it off.

We are in LA for two weeks w our first grand child's birth. So I broke down and went to doctor to be prescribed augmentin - did not phase my bronchitis ( I think I contracted it on my flight to LA bc I am rarely sick anymore). Doctor prescribed augmentin. By day three no improvement. Doctor then prescribes biactin, now day three you would think I would feel better - woke up w a coughing fit.

So back to Earth Clinic - just drank the recipe here - which cleared most of the phlegm and cough has subsided. Now I can go back to bed and get some rest. I will continue to drink this remedy and pray I have eliminated the cough for the remainder of my stay.

Thank you again Earth Clinic and it's many followers for your feedback.

About 10 years ago, I had a severe chest 'cold', not sure if it was bronchitis or not but it felt like it. I went to an Indian restaurant (actually it was Pakistani cuisine, of Balti style), and got a chicken fal. It was recommended to me, someone knew what they were talking about. It is hotter than vindaloo, hotter than tindaloo. I was completely cleared out within 24 hours. I had lots of water, rice, naan and mango lassi to go with it, to be able to finish it. If you can't get to an indian restaurant or an asian grocer, make your own with coconut oil, lots of garlic cloves, chopped spicy peppers, and spices like black pepper, cayenne, fennel and lots of turmeric.

Hi, for years I had very bad bronchitis every year, usually during allergy season, seems all year long to me. But I havent been to the doctor for three years now for it. The only thing I can think of is that I added to my diet raw mushrooms which I find I love dearly. I eat them in salads, soups or right out of the package.

I live in the MidWest. My bronchitis and allergies all began when I was exposed to the chemicals of crop-dusting about 20 years ago. Immediately, I felt my lungs crystalize and started wheezing. I went to the Dr. the next day and was dianosed with "chemically induced bronchitis". It was downhill after that...years of battling the bronchitis every fall and spring using antibiotics. Then it got where I began having allergic reactions to many prescriptions and OTC's. My husband happened on to wild oregano a couple of years later and it was sweet relief from the bronchitis and help with my allergies!! A couple of years ago I found the _____ [Mangosteen] juice and started drinking it. I take them all year around because of my allergies. When I start to get a sinus migraine headache, I increase my dose and it doesn't materialize, as long as I catch it in the beginning stages. Hope this is of some help also!

Hydrogen Peroxide Inhalation Method

Hydrogen Peroxide Inhalation: While in Tucson, Arizona for an extended stay I caught a respiratory virus that nearly stopped my clock. The coughing was so severe and so frequent that I feared I would have a stroke. It was so bad that I literally could not sleep and was declining in health rapidly. I tried every over the counter cold medication I could buy with no improvement. Finally in desperation I bought a "Ocean Saline Nasal Sprayer Inhaler" --emptied out the contents --and replaced the saline with Hydrogen Peroxide 3% straight from the drug store shelf.I sprayed the H202 both in my throat and nose and relief was immediate. Within 3 hours the cough was under control. I continued using the spray for a week until the virus was killed. The only negative part of the cure was I lost my sense of smell and taste for several months. My taste and smell slowly returned to normal over a 6 month period. To say that I was scared by this virus, would be a gross understatement. To say that I am THANKFUL for H202, would also be an understatement. I am convinced it truly saved my life. 55 year old male.

Flour, Dry Mustard and Egg White

I used this flour/yellow mustard/egg white technique on my two year old the other day to help with his severe chest congestion. I made it up, held it on w/ an elastic bandage, then went to researching exactly how long I should leave it on. There were extremely conflicting opinions - everything from "don't ever do this to a child" to "it's okay to leave on overnight." Well, I didn't want to do any harm, so I left it on about 45 minutes and then removed it. Within 5 minutes, he coughed up more mucous than I've ever seen in my whole life. So much, it made him throw up, but there was definately a ton of chest gunk everywhere. sorry...I know that's totally gross! but really, it was amazing and I can't be convinced that it wasn't the paste that did it. He still has some congestion, but I'm using alternative methods, as I have yet to decide on how safe this one is for children. However, it was incredibly effective for that one time - he was having very productive coughs for the rest of the day.

Flour, Dry Mustard and Egg White

My family has been using mustard plasters for generations. Not only do they relieve chest congestion associated with a productive cough, but are also amazing when used in conjunction with a steamer for turning a dry caugh into a productive one. We have used them on children 3 years and older with amazing results! Until now I had never heard of mixing it with egg whites, as my family has always mixed it with hot water.

1tsp mustard powder, 3tsp flour, and enough hot water to make a thin paste. I find that a peice of old flannel bed sheet (double wrapped) works the best. Lay it on your chest for no more than 45 min to 1 hour at a time, less for sensitive skin.

CAUTION:I recomend checking skin every 15 minutes to ensure you don't burn. A little bit pink from the warmth and moisture is ok, and you should be able to feel a bit of heat from the mustard. If it gets uncomfortable, or if skin starts to go red take it off and wait until skin returns to normal. If it takes skin more than 30 minutes to return to normal, do not continue.

I hope this helps your family as much as it has helped mine! :)

After years of suffering with horrible bouts of bronchitis, a lady, claiming to be a "witch" told me to soak my feet in hot garlic water, blanket over myself and the bucket, to inhale steam. It is time to do it again (and I will), but was wondering, has anyone else heard of this "method" and what is is called?

Mullein

So here is how Mullein took me from a multiple times/year horrible bronchitis, pulled muscles, coughing up pieces of my lungs to NO bronchitis anymore. I suffered for 15 solid years with bronchitis on/off, only getting worse! This protocol I do for colds that get into in the chest, coughing etc..The turn around I get from taking Mullien has lasted, so far, for 20+ years. 2 things did this, can't remember anymore which I did first. Mullein and a pneumonia shot.

I got a free booklet from Prevention Magazine back then on herbs you've never heard of that really work..Lost the booklet in a move. In it, was Mullein.

Anyway, Mullein is the first line of defense the German's use for Bronchitis sufferers before they Rx an Anti-B. 2 things happened. I got a pnuemonia vax in my young 30s when a Dr. told me, no, you're too young for that vax..but my mom, a nurse, said I should get one... and 2/ MULLEIN. I use Solaray Brand, it's easy to find. At onset, I take (3) 330 mg pills, 2x/day for a few days and all the cough and lung stuff turns around within 2 days. You can feel it break up and go away!! Then I go with 2 pills 2 or 3 times a day until it's all gone. I've travel with it at the ready, it's in my medicine cabinet for 20+ years. I'll never be without it in my household. I've gifted it to friends and relatives...all helping them kick their bad lung coughing, congestion etc. Mucinex is also my friend.

Now they have much better pneumonia shots so I'll be getting that. Sure, I take all Covid vax's and boosters since I know I have bad lung scarring. I always take a flu shot every year too. Was using hand washing & now hand sanitizer WAY before Covid ever happened. Prevention is SO WORTH the effort to avoid sickness. I wore masks after Covid for over 4+ years every time I fly (still do). Just in the last 6 months stopped wearing masks into big shopping events, out in the world. Will never stop hand sanitizing after being out in the world. Into the car, hand sanitize B4 anything else. For me, PREVENTION is so much easier than dealing with being sick that usually lasts for me, a month. Covid in Oct.'23 had me down & out for 2 months to be rid of the symptom even though it cleared up on test in a week.. I could not take Paxlovid. Mullein was by my side helping me out then too.

Okay, just found this great website today and wanted to share what the miracle to me herb MULLEIN will do for clearing Bronchitis. Also great for ear infections, in a different form too.

I am jazzed recently about discovering Grapefruit Seed Extract products from NutriBiotic company, many different formulas. I was exposed to mild Covid from a girl at lunch a month ago who told no one she still had it and came anyway while still active!! I never would have showed up for lunch!! Anyway, I panicked and ran home to take NutriBiotic products: Defense Plus, their throat spray and their Nasal Spray Plus all at once in the hopes I would not get it from her.. I did get a sore throat for a day, continued with the throat spray and Nasal Spray/pump and never got Covid from her. Who knows what would have happened had I not taken them all? I had it on hand as I brought these products on a cruise, but never had to use them. Will always take these products & Mullein with me when I travel!! 100% of the time... Every product of theirs I've tried works great!

Hoping this helps someone. This testimony is real life experience from me, that I know WORKS like a charm, every time.

Hello,

Well I have continued using the Hot Garlic Water

Every night and using a sheet like a tent over the solution to breath in the fumes. This seems to have gotten rid of my ear pain and throat pain!

I woke up the first day I tried it and felt wonderful. As did my husband. But later in the day the ear and throat pain still came on but not as bad as it was. It is like the ear and throat pain goes dormant and then sneaks up on me again. I have used this Hot Garlic Water for 3 nights before bed. This morning again the feel great and so far the throat and ear pain have not cropped up on me!

My husband is better only his issue seems to be asthma? He has had problem ever since the new neighbors moved in and started having BBQ parties on their patio and starting a bon-fire in a trash can! (their kids were throwing tumbleweed in the fire) The smoke entered out home and my husband seems to have been affected by this! We read that the smoke is like Creosote. I guess toxic!

Luckily they stopped using the bon-fire after my husband politely asked them if they could stop due to his coughing.

I'm going to have him use the Hot Garlic Water to see if it helps him like it did me!

My daughter had a laughing fit over the "witch" that suggested it!

Missy, 1st congrats for quitting smoking. It is a hard thing to do! You may want to get a check up to rule out COPD or Emphysema. Stick to natural cures if you can at all costs. If you decide to do the hydrogen peroxide therapy please be aware that the mixture MUST be 3% food grade. You can find 35% food grade peroxide at some health food stores. You will then need to dilute down to 3%. There should be paperwork at the health food store how to dilute down to 3% or call the manufacture up. Never take 3% hydrogen peroxide from the drug store and inhale that. There are stablizers in there that I personally would not inhale into my lungs. Best of luck. And good old apple cider vinegar is a good cure all for most health issues.

Vitamin C

I got a virus a couple weeks ago and unfortunately had to turn to a 5 day dose of antibiotics to help me when it turned into acute bronchitis. No supplements or home remedies helped me as I tried to battle the bronchitis. I took oregano oil, apple cider vinegar, colloidal silver, vitamin e and a few other supplements.

What's been helping the lingering cough and constant sinus drip is high doses of vitamin c. I am taking 1,000mg 4 times a day, with about 4 hours in between. What amazes me is how much vitamin c my body needs right now. Normally anything over 1,000 mg a day causes diarrhea. Now I'm up to 4,000 a day without any problems. It's rapidly healing the bronchitis cough and constant sinus drip. Amazing.

Next time I start to get a cough, I am going to go the high dose vitamin c route first and hopefully won't have to take antibiotics.

Hi Clyde,

If you look up the Medical Medium protocol for the heavy metal detox smoothie he explains what goes in it, how to make it and which ingredients detox which metals. It's an overall metals detox. You may also want to look into Advanced TRS which is a liquid zeolite (liquid being the key) and thousands of people are seeing results for heavy metal detoxing. Blessings for a successful detox :)

Oil Pulling

I didn't know what "Oil-pulling" was, found a pretty good resource, but basically it works indirectly by improving oral health - which does make a difference for many systems, especially including infections and inflammatory diseases caused by (you guessed it) lack of oral health. So, if you don't know where that bronchitis came from... :-)

We know that athletes and small babies are subject to potential illness and even death because of too much water in a short period of time. But I have this theory that when I increased my water intake it predisposed me to Bronchitis.

I am not a "respiratory person" meaning, that is not an area I have ever had a problem with. My issues are more circulatory, and digestive. So when I got Bronchitis, not once, but twice, in 2 months I was surprised. Yes, it was going around and is contagious. But neither my husband nor my daughter caught it. I think my body was more hospitable to it for some reason.

Let me explain: I have edema. I am overweight, and that is a contributing factor, but I noticed it gets worse when I don't drink and become dehydrated. For some odd reason, I just don't like to drink. I never drink sodas or other soft drinks, mostly tea, and water, small amount of orgnic milk. I just resist drinking especially cold drinks (unless it is really hot). Part of this may be due to the fact that I have a cold body (chronic hyperglycemia). My average temp is around 97 degrees, when up. Morning, basal temp can be as low as 96.5. I am aware of thyroid indicators and will talk about that on the thyroid thread.

At any rate, I know when I am getting dehydrated, skin stars to dry up (I am only 34) so that prompts me to drink. So I read this book, forgot the name, about the value of water and how many illnesses it can cure and I decided to up my water intake. Knowing I am overweight and might need more than the average person, I forced myself to drink 5 times the amount I normally drink. I wasn't measuring but it was probably at least 12 glasses. When normally I may drink 3-5 glasses of total liquid.

That's when I came down hard with bronchitis. Lowered my drinking during illness, recovered and went back to my routine. I started drinking large quantities (and these were large amounts in one sitting, not slowly sipping, I was gulping, I hate it and had to force myself). I got hit with Bronchitis again!

I have since healed and since gone back to my typioal liquid intake, incrasing slightly due to warming weather, and mostly drinking herbal tea to avoid dehydration. I have been fine.

Another note, I saw a connection to salt and the bronchial tubes. I eat VERY little salt No chips, no fast food burgers, pickles, pretzles, rarely fries. I might add half a tsp to a whole baked chicken.

I found this on the net, (not endorsing their products AT ALL) just thought it makes an interesting connection to edema, dehydration, water intake and respritory issues.

This is the reason why in severe dehydration we develop an edema and retain water. The design of our bodies is such that the extent of the ocean of water outside the cells is expanded to have the extra water available for filtration and emergency injection into vital cells. The brain commands an increase in salt and water retention by the kidneys. This is how we get an edema when we don't drink enough water.

http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/salt.htm

"Initially, the process of water filtration and its delivery into the cells is more efficient at night when the body is horizontal. The collected water, that mostly pools in the legs, does not have to fight the force of gravity to get onto the blood circulation. If reliance of this process of emergency hydration of some cells continues for long, the lungs begin to get waterlogged at night, and breathing becomes difficult. The person needs more pillows to sit upright to sleep. This condition is the consequence of dehydration. However, you might overload the system by drinking too much water at the beginning. Increases in water intake must be slow and spread out until urine production begins to increase at the same rate that you drink water."

I wonder if it would be beneficial for me to increase my salt a little and I guess it would have to be the right KIND of salt. I will look through Ted's suggestions on this.

Hydrogen Peroxide Inhalation Method

You should all be using the Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide which is 35% and must be diluted to 3% for use. It is a ratio of 1 part H202 and 11 parts distilled water. The other store brand which you seem to be using has stabilizers and chemicals in it.

Fig Tree With Piloncillo

Just know that piloncillo looks like a brown candy corn. In Mexico we use it for many remedies and for some reason it works better than using brown sugar. It also tastes differently so please, don't confuse it with brown sugar which is more processed. It comes in a cone shaped wrapped in clear plastic packaging and is dark brown in color and the way you use it is by cutting off a piece and boiling it with tea leaves. Mexican candied fruit like candied pears (peras en almibar) can be made this way and are delicious!

Spraying in nose and throat directly may be too harsh. I mix saline and hydrogen peroxide food grade in my nebulizer and increase the peroxide as I get used to it.

I have found that if I eat anything with corn in it I will get a sinus infection I have alway thought it was the high frutose corn syrup because if I eat or drink anything with the corn syrup in it I get sinus infections. Also just corn tortillas will do it. I don't know if it is just all the altering of the corn to to enhance the growing process but something is wrong with corn now. Also, when something tends to be in everything...just the amounts that are consumed can create allergies to it. All I know is that Corn is one of my biggest factors in getting sinus infections and bronchitis. If it does go into my chest... Lymphomyosot by Heel is a good homeopatic remedy for it. I can alway clear up the bronchitis within 24 hours with it. Just take it every 20 minutes until you feel it getting better then do it 2 to 3 time day until well. I don't get bronchitis anymore since using it. I use to get bronchitis 2 to 3 times a year before.

It is possible that you are reacting to the corn because it is in all likelihood genetically modified. The biotech industry downplays adverse effects to GMOs, but in truth you are eating something that has been genetically altered using viruses and bacteria. They rigorously deny the possibility of horizontal gene transfer, but the presence of BT toxins in the blood of 93% of a sample group of Canadian women belies that. There's already plenty of evidence that the Bt-toxin produced in GM corn is toxic to humans and mammals and triggers immune system responses.

I have suffered with sinus infections and allergies for 30 years Today I tried the acv baking soda and honey for my bronchitis I developed. I did it twice and then saw that someone wrote about using olive oil instead so I used 1/4t of baking soda 2T of olive oil 2T of ACV and decaf tea and haven't been coughing Thank God. I also have been using the Salt/baking soda/water to cleanse my nose out. I also rubbed vicks on my chest to help with the pain from coughing earlier. Thank you for putting this information out there. I appreciate any help other than expensive antibiotics that make me sick to my stomach. Thank you so much.

Apple Cider Vinegar, Baking Soda and Olive Oil

I don't know about ACV and pregnancy, but I use olive oil when I have the deep bronchitis cough. It seems to thin the mucous and allow me to cough it up. I started out with 2 TBSP which kept me cough-free for 8-12 hours. Then I realized 1 TBSP did just as well and didn't give me diarrhea with it. I can't tolerate the taste well so I put it in a small cup with about 2 TBSP A&W rootbeer (anything strong flavored would work) and knocked it back in one gulp. Increase fiber if it gives you diarrhea, but this stuff WORKS! Especially helpful for someone like me with high blood pressure and unable to take cough medicine.
