Thank you :)

Probiotics

There are probiotics that eat and live on fuguses like candida and yeast. Threelac is one. There maybe others. This stuff costs about a dollar a packet. This is expensive if you use much.

I have found that a probiotic culture can be grown on a medium of food grade brewers yeast and water. Brewers yeast is dead yeast cells that are high in protein and several vitamins and mineral. I have made yogart and buttermilk in the past and growing these cultures is very similar. The result is a sour thin liquid that tastes a little like buttermilk.

currently I use 2 cups of brewers yeast flakes in a gallon of water. To this I add a packet of the probiotics I want to grow. This will create a sour culture in 1 to 3 days. I then refrigerate the jug and drink as needed. In winter I have been culturing the liquid in an oven with the light on. Oven needs to be less than about 110 degrees farenheit.

I don't believe that this is a total cure for systemic candida infection but it is a start and should eliminate candida from the intestinal tract. When first starting this you need to be aware of the Herztheimer effect. Now I drink a cup every few days. I know I am not drinking enough if it causes my stomach to rumble within an hour or 2 of drinking. It does cause my eurin to be more yellow.

Brewers yeast is not delicious, and culturing makes it more sour. It is a good source of protein and nutrients. I get the flakes for about $16 a pound. That is at least 10 cups so I don't think of it as expensive because it is a food that enables me to eat grains and sugar that would not be allowed on a candida restricted diet.

I have been drinking this stuff for several years.

Candida and Sweeteners

Hi Francisca,
I was just looking at adrenal fatigue and saw that Bill had used BSM when getting rid of candida along with other supplements. I went off BSM for about 5 days but have gone back on to it as I feel it is nourishing. I am only taking one tspn once or twice daily. I have started on a number of things suggested on this website and am noticing a difference in energy but am very cautious and using low doses of everything. So far so good. Thanks for your comment. Having read that Bill used it I feel much more comfortable carrying on with BSM.

FRANCISCA-I went on DHEA (100 mg oral every other day) and made same amount of DHEA instilled into eyedrops (natural tear type-keep in fridge-use in a week and wash hands before each instillation-USE clean technique)-I also went on Minocycline for about 12 months. I drank lots of H2O and protected my eyes----the Italian medical journals do the best job with this ailment! (ALSO-that DOCTOR is a FOOL. Sjogren's has two 'types' one is very, very serious and tends to Lymphatic cancers-you need to know 'which' one is the likely one-so you may help yourself. Best Wishes!

No maple syrup!!! According to Ted, when erasing candida, no sweets should be consumed, including syrup!!! So no sugar, honey, white flour, milk products, sweetners, red meat, juice.. To be honest, I am not following it either, I am breastfeeding my ababy and cannot be on chicken and rice all day long.. But I am just saying..

Jenny, I was wondering the same thing. My book on Candida diet says no but Bill from the Philippines included BSM in his Candida diet so a while ago I tried to contact him to clarify this matter as I would like to go on taking BSM to stry to stop my hair from going greyer but I got no answer! I would say that one should probably neither use BSM nor honey as they are both mostly sugar but I was interested in knowing why he advises BSM because he know an awful lot about Candida and cured his own. Let's hope he answers..... The thing is that there are so much contradicting information about what a Candida diet should look like.... It is very hard to know!

Nystatin
Posted by Indigo (Dallas, Texas) on 09/19/2011

I just wanted to mention that (at least here in the US) you can order nystatin oral powder online from Canada, though it takes a few weeks for you to get it.

The first kind I ordered was the liquid suspension. This is a waste of money! I should have taken more time to convert ml into oz to see how tiny the bottle would be. This works for infants with thrush, but not a full out candida overgrowth. I have just ordered the powder (3 month supply) for $150 from Fludan. I'm very excited to see how effective it is, especially combined with the natural treatments. I've been trying natural treatments for the last month with limited success, and that's why I want to combine.

Natural treatments work just as effectively as nystatin, but I've heard (anecdotally) that nystatin works in weeks, where natural therapies take months.

Hi Francisca I don't have the usual runny nose or anything like that, I have inflammation on my right nostril that seems to be constantly blocked over the past 30 years but the last 5 to 10 yrs has been a lot worse. Night time is usally the worst time. Ive been trying everything from Coconut oil to ACV to Colloidal silver to cayenne pepper tp grapefruit seed extract but Apple Cider Vinegar seems to keep it under control most times. Ive tried this ACV -two tablespoons with 1/2 teaspoon of Baking Soda and 8 ozs of water, stir it together in a glass and drink it, Im not sure if this is what Ted tried, I couldnt quite follow his instructions so hopefully I'll see a message from him on this, Im pretty sure I have a Candida allergy or wheat allergy...

Hi All, I take apple cider vinegar 4 drops with tsp honey bit of warm water to stir then add cold and knock it back only once a day it has helped my bad back no end but why would anyone want to take their concoctions more than once a day - anything that is taken too much is not good for you.

I also take quarter tsp of Bicarbonate of soda in half a glass of water for my heartburn when it comes on which is about once a week now whereas before I lived on rennies - then the doctor put me on some sort of antacid tablets that had side effects like putting on weight. So I stick to carrying my bicarbonate of soda in an old tablet bottle.

Re CANDIDA - I got rid of mine that I had had for years on and off with the following:

2 -3 half capfuls of Aloe vera (cranberry flavour) juice (this is like a weed killer for yeast) 1 -2 acidophulus tablets (10 million per capsule) as the 4 Billion suggested capsule gave me a temperature. I gave up all sugars, all yeasts incl alcohol except Apple cider vinegar, and gave up mushrooms as suggested in the candida book - this I did (and noted on paper each day my headaches etc) I did this for 3 months suggested and all my ailments went away now I keep aloe vera in the fridge for when I need it (opened it only lasts a month) and always keep taking my acidophulus tablets 1 or 2 a day - they are the good bacteria that is suppossed to be found in Actimal and Yogurts and Yacult except that the later 3 things have sugar in them and make you fat hence contarindications.

I now take Selinium tablets - antioxidents once a day and a squirt of lemon juice also antioxident to ward of colds - I watched a documentary that said that oxygen oxideses our body like rust and therefore we should all be taking antioxidents because of this and the chemicals in the air.

Look after yourselfs and don't overdo your concoctions but personally I would do things over a course of a month or 2 -3 only and if it does not clear up then think again.

Andrew, I have also had sinuses problems for many years (they stopped completely for 7 years and started again last year). I am quite all right now. I am taking Echinacea and also powder Spirullina, Chlorella and Chlorophyll. No idea whether this is what has been helping.... My nose was running the whole time and I was sneezing a lot especially during the night and when I woke up. I also think that I have Candida so little by little I am starting the diet! And I am going to try woodworm capsules advised by Gerald Green (I reviewed his book on the book section! ).

The following is what is written on the site you gave: "If there is a situation of low stomach acidity , betaine HCL needs to be added as the candida organisms thrive best in an alkaline environment. You want to make an inhospitable neighborhood for them. If food allergies have developed, further digestive enzyme support may be needed." ... The alkaline environment that the author is talking about is in the stomache which is why she recommends betaine HCL. The alkalizing that is talked about here (EC) is to help alkalize your body, not your stomache acid, which is why it is not recommended that you eat for one and a half hours after taking any of the alkalizing remedies plus to wait a minimum of half an hour after a meal before taking any alkalizing remedy.

Hi I have a question for Ted. I'm confused by Ted's recipe for taking ACV and Baking soda and I also think with water. I would like to try this recipe after eating a meal, but not sure how much of each to take and how much water, I have read the links but nothing seems to be clear. Any info will be great on this...

ACV =

Baking Soda =

Water =

How many times a day?

Ive had sinus problems for years and have been trying everything and Ive come to the conclusion that I most likely have Candida, and would like to try this.

I just read this on another site:

http://www.healthe-livingnews.com/articles/what_is_the_truth_about_candida.html

It is important to restore the normal acidophilus and bifidus organism in the GI tract which are killed with antibiotics and predispose to candida.

If there is a situation of low stomach acidity , betaine HCL needs to be added as the candida organisms thrive best in an alkaline environment. You want to make an inhospitable neighborhood for them. If food allergies have developed, further digestive enzyme support may be needed.

It is also helpful to support the immune system with thymus fractions.

What surprised me about this excerpt is that it says candida thrives best in an alkaline environment!!! Here we are, alkalyzing like crazy. What does TED think about this?

What helped me is using coconut oil mixed with the contents of a neem capsule and then heading out for sunshine. Last night I tried a concoction that was from the site on how to make Neem soap. I mixed together as many ingredients as I could, applied it, and then took a normal shower. Here are the recipies. If you don't have all the ingredients, it's OK. Helped my vitiligo that may be presenting from a candida condition. Skin feels better already!!! Looks better too. Hyperpigmented areas seemed to lighten. I think it is better to treat it twice a day also.

Rob, I absolutely recognize the position your mother was in. I had the same with some issues with my daughters. Difficult to have the doctors do something but me as a mother I fought to get them well. Now they are wonderful, beautiful, young women! And with my health as well, it took me many years of monthly migranes to find out by myself that I had hormonal headaches and to find a pill that cured them (all by myself! ). Or to cure the ostheoarthritis in my knee (ok, a natural doctor did it in the end but I had to look for the answers myself, now at 54 I haven't had any pain at all for 6 years).

Do you know what made me laugh the most during my visit to the doctor in Switzerland? When he told me that there is no way of moisturizing the tissues from within. He told me to just put some cream on my skin and that Hyaluronic Acid would do nothing to moisturize it or to minimize my dry eyes and throat. Sorry but I find it very difficult to respect them! Of course they can do some things natural medicine can't do, but they also do a lot of harm! I have just finished reading Gerald Green's book (which I would recommend to anyone and no, I don't have any connection with him other than talking with him on a phone a week ago) and there you can see that even life threatening illnesses can be cured by natural methods, maybe even only with natural methods because mainstream medicine has no clue of what to do with them!

you're right Francisca, better to risk annoying the Dr. when it comes to our health... I recall when I was young, a hospital Dr. caring for my brother hanging up on my mother over the phone. (she was a very polite woman) The Dr didn't want to admit they were failing him and she persisted on having him moved to a better hospital. She eventually prevailed, & as soon as he was moved the new hospital alarmed at his condition, they operated immediately (when the previous hospital was attempting rehab on him!! )... It was an infection that was close to being systemic.... It was a close call but it was uphill from there. It was a mother's intuition and risk of being a pain that absolutely saved his life.

Thanks Rob and Debbie. Unfortunately Rob, here in France as a rule you only find homeopathic doctors. And yes, it must be very annoying when you spent years studying something to have some little lady come in with her own ideas, books, etc but that is life.....

Debbie, I am sticking with the Clorophyl, Chlorella and Spirulina. Coloidal Silver I am not sure about. I bought a bottle once but read so many bad things about it that I didn't dare to take it again. It seems one risks getting a funny color.... No idea what to believe anymore! Anyway, I bought the copper which I think you suggested a little while ago but that also gave me a bad taste in the mouth. And I have read that Alzheimer's might be connected with too much copper and zink in the brain. Aren't you afraid of that? So far no changes in my hair color with the Chlorella, Spirulina powder. I stopped with the copper for the moment!

Francisca, sorry to hear about your experience but I am afraid it was to be expected. Our western Doctors only know which medication to give for which symptom.

When my son was a year old and was very constipated all I was told was to give him a stool softener (at the Emergency Department). No one told me about probiotics or digestive enzymes or anything else. The health food shop told me about those. Since then I have read everything I could find.

Maybe a Naturopath could help you but I sincerely think that a green juice detox would help you. Fresh lemon juice every day (1/2 glass). Stick with the chlorella and sprirulina and chlorophyl. Take colloidal minerals.

The chlorophyl in the green juices will cleanse the blood from toxins. The chlorella and spirulina will also cleanse the kidneys and liver amongst many other things.

If you don't have faith in the above then colloidal silver may be your savior.

It has been used against warts and yeast infections. It is antibacterial and anti fungal (and can treat over 650 diseases)

Francisca, a few random thoughts here ... Candida is known to accumulate in tissue that contains heavy metal deposits as the heavy metals in some manner seem to protect the Candida. Chlorella is well known to help the body excrete heavy metals by any channel available. I suspect your ingestion of the chlorella started to remove the heavy metals which accounts for the bad taste. With this start to the heavy metal removal, the Candida felt somewhat threatened and in its movement, was exposed (white tongue).

If you want to read more about the heavy metal-Candida association see this link

Drs... especially western doctors are engineers of the body. A wonderful science to be respected in its own right however as engineers many lack interpersonal skills. I think many of us have had similar experiences to yours, .. For me walking out of a Dr's office muttering under my breath, "what an A-hole! " was more than a couple times. It's important to find a doctor that doesn't make you feel helpless about your condition. So good that you are moving on. Western, mainstream medicine mainly views a diagnoses of systemic candidiasis as having no scientific basis, and most of the recommended treatments for it a waste of time and money. Some feel that it is mostly psychological in that it satisfies a need to blame our maladies on an external cause.

For this type of condition you would most likely do better by seeing an traditional chinese medicine practitioner or Ayurvedic Dr. who is more in tune with balancing the body. Finding a good one is however tricky and usually trial and error... even in big cities like New York I found this to be a challenge...

Trying to understand a dr's position however is important... I can imagine that they after spending so many years studying, having their patients telling them what internet's diagnosis is would be annoying at times... However a good Dr.. would be open to all views... I've a few times mentioned certain herbs to Dr's who had no idea what they were... So I do believe it is a two way communication. Use them, respect their info.. but don't take it as the final word because that will always change with time.

Thinking that I might suffer from Sjogren's I decided to pay a visit to my husband's GP (I don't have one, I rarely go to mainstream doctors! ). This is a doctor in Switzerland, where medicine is supposed to be good and I had been there once, months ago. Because I thought that I might actually just suffer from Candida I took my Cure Candida Through Diet book with me to help him along. Of course he wasn't interested in anything to do with Candida, whether I could suffer from it or not was of no consequence to him. But well, I have a lot of difficulty sleeping with my dry eyes and mouth.... But that is my problem, he must have thought... His answer, when I showed him the book was that anybody can write everything which doesn't mean that they are right! Then I went on to tell him about my other complaints, white spots on the skin, lower back pain, warts.... A bit bored he asked me which complaints I wanted him to treat, meaning I shouldn't come with so many thing but choose a couple and leave it at that. Amazing... Isn't the complete picture what should give a doctor an idea of what one is suffering from? In the end I had a blood test and he is going to see whether I really have Sjogren's. For the rest he asked no questions, showed no interest only told me that having Sjogren's, although not a pleasant illness it is not really something to worry about! So I came home, feeling abandoned, with no one to turn too with my symptoms except this site, as usual, and my books!

If you think that I was unlucky with my choice of doctor think again, they just don't care and the choice is very limited here although through my health insurance I have access to two countries, France and Switzerland. But maybe I am lucky, I have just read the book "Breaking through the untouchable diseases" by Geral Green, which I will review here in due course, phoned Gerald last Sunday, had a great conversation with him and am starting the anti-Candida diet soon and he will ship me his medication. So fingers crossed I will be feeling a lot better soon (sorry Bill, you told me to do the diet such a long time ago.....)!

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

Thank you earthclinic for the wonderful website! On here I've found the cure for so many health problems from sore throat to eczema. I am now writing because I've started using VCO three weeks ago and I am loving it. The reason why I wanted to try it is because I think I have mouth candida. For the first two weeks I felt a huge difference in my mouth. It felt cleaner, fresher and that horrible white coat completely disappear!!

A few days ago I started to have an unpleasant taste in my mouth. I can't be sure if it is the metalic taste that some people describe but I can assure you that it is not nice. My tongue is not as pink as it was when I started taking VCO but not as bad as before I started taking it. My question is: Could the bad taste in my mouth be a symptom of candida die off or is it just that the oil worked in the the first two weeks and is not working anymore? Thanks very much

To Lou from Tyler, TX: Boric acid is NOT borax! Boric acid is boric acid... Borax is sodium borate. If you do your research, you will learn that while boric acid is actually approved as a food additive, sodium borate is not. This is just one indicator of the relative toxicity of the two substances.

While I can't advocate the use of boric acid as anything other than a (relatively) safe pesticide, I did want to clear up this misconception, as sodium borate (trade name borax) and boric acid are definitely different substances, with very different effects on humans.

There was an article in this past week's Woman's World magazine claiming that if you eliminate wheat and products containing wheat from your diet altogether, that the sugar cravings will stop.

About the brown rice, I just started using Success brown rice that you boil for 10 minutes. It doesn't taste bad at all and I wonder if it would have the same effect? I am not good at chewing my food well, by the way.

Something I recently tried was chopping garlic and letting it sit for 10 minutes to release the allicin and then putting it in steamed veggies with a capful of olive oil. Delicious!

Subject: ELIMINATING SUGAR CRAVINGS & BROWN RICE AS HEALING FOOD

I wish to offer a suggestion in regard to a craving for sweets that the writer of the above email refers to as being difficult to manage. At times I have found myself in the same predicament, and there is a really great solution to this problem, a solution one can use when working on getting rid of candida, or attempting to lose weight.

Brown rice is a complex carbohydrate and very nutritious. My preferred type is Lundberg organically grown that here in Canada can be purchased in health food stores. It has to be simmered to about 45-50 minutes. The best and most therapeutic way to consume it is to eat a small amount - perhaps 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup every 2 hours or so, but it should not be eaten as one would eat regular food; rather, it should be MASTICATED IN THE MOUTH UNTIL IT BECOMES LIQUID, which will mean that one has to chew it about 100 times. If you pretend to have a chewing gum in the mouth instead of food, and it will be easy. This is extremely valuable as nourishment, for much of the breakdown of the food will have occurred in the mouth by the enzymes in the saliva, which is very helpful for those that have a compromised digestive system. Furthermore, the complex carbohydrates of brown rice will stabilize the blood sugar and sugar cravings will vanish. Consumed in this way, simple brown rice ends up being a highly beneficial balancing, nourishing and healing food. It also is rich in roughage and will promote excellent elimination.

Many blessings of health and joy to all......... Imma

I have gone to several doctors (regular and alternative) to get help with overcoming candida. They always give me a list of foods to avoid. On everyone of them, vinegar is listed and yet I see in this thread that many of you have had success killing the candida by taking it internally. My drs. said that it can be diluted and applied topically but never taken internally to rid the candida. I am sooooo confused!!! Can anyone help explain this discrepancy???

Soap--castil is a pure soap, but I use as plain of white bar soap that is handy and also use sea salt-baking soda-bentonite clay off and on as a change.

Site to check www.CrayhonResearch.com

They do a 'red cell mineral & toxin' blood test to see where the body is and what need balancing.

Urine Therapy
Posted by Betty (Gainesville, Ga) on 07/18/2011

Hi, Carolyn - If you will read the thread, the topic is Urine Therapy, not Urine recycling. I know about NASA using that procedure. From what I have researched (yes, I have researched it), it is the DRINKING of your own urine (not cleansed in any way) that I find disgusting. AND by the way I have NOT "criticized" others doing this. I just said that I found it disgusting, and I do. I have had several ailments that I was desperate to find a cure for, but I would NEVER consider doing something like that. There are always far-out "snake oil" theories out there, so "go for it" if you are so inclined. My main point was that posting that as a "therapy" will scare many people away from what otherwise would be a beneficial resource for effective home-remedy type treatments. They will see this site as a JOKE instead of an actual serious attempt to help people. So, all you "open minded people", stop critiziing ME for having my own opinion on a disturbing "treatment" found in this site. I was very disappointed to see such bizarre, far-out-there suggestions on this site that I have come to find interesting and enjoy.

Urine Therapy
Posted by Nat (Tampa, Florida, Usa) on 07/17/2011

Personally, I would not consider "urine therapy" under any circumstances, no matter how dire. However, if people really want to do such a thing, then it is their own business. That's what freedom means. Even though I happen to be repulsed by this therapy, that does not mean it should be censored from EarthClinic. If consenting adults wish to use this therapy, they are free to do so.

For my part, I'll stick with ACV. That's hard enough to get down sometimes.

Urine Therapy
Posted by Pepper (Naperville, Illinois / Usa) on 07/16/2011

Betty - Even though I would never consume my own urine, it is my belief that if this therapy helps people I have no right to criticize their choice. By the way, the main ingredient of the estrogen replacement thereapy drug Premarin is urine, hence the name Premarin comes from PREgnant MARes uRINe. That has never been a secret. Also, urea (derived from urine) is often listed as an ingredient in cosmetics.

Please don't criticize a wonderful website because you find one therapy disgusting. Many people have been helped with advice from all over the world for their various ailments.

I don't subscribe to this practice myself, but apparently NASA does. NASA has used a urine recycler since 2008. This was in a headline on July 11th this year: The crew of Atlantis, the final mission of the US space shuttle program, are testing a urine recycling system developed by NASA that is capable of turning astronauts' pee into a tasty sports drink.

Hang on!! If someone is badly burnt and nothing is available to treat the burn... believe it or not urine is the best remedy.. After a while in the air it turns into streptomyacine.. and all the broken down cells act as a nutrient. There have been many cases where really bad burns have been healed with little scaring. Nature wastes nothing.

Betty, You are not the only one that feels this way. I have been reading this site regularly for a couple of years and have always felt that the practice is repulsive. I have never said anything because I knew there would be a huge backlash.

The fact is that Webster's dictionary defines urine as waste, and according to webMd.com, if the kidneys did not remove these wastes, they would build up in the blood and make a person ill. In some cultures, even animal urine is consumed as medicine. In ancient times, dung was used as a poultice for wounds - really not a good idea! Just because some people have done this sort of thing for thousands of years doesn't make it an intelligent choice and certainly doesn't make it any less repulsive.

I'm with you, Betty. It's nasty!

Betty, please do not dismiss a therapy just because of your 'ick' factor. This is a forum where people post therapies that have worked or pose questions about solving their health issues. Urine therapy is an ancient form of treatment and it's benefits have been well-documented, as you would have found out if you had cared to do a web search. Yes, it is not for everyone and I fully understand (being one myself) but I have personally seen it work for a family member with a chronic skin problem. So I know it definitely has something to it. You remind me of a friend who scoffs at acupuncture saying sticking needles into one in hopes of a cure is just hogwash! I think it just airs one's ignorance.

Betty, I have never tried urine therapy, not because I am not curious about it but because I believe that if you have a health problem, you many times find out because of the stuff that comes out in your urine so why would I want to be drinking the bacteria or whatever else that makes me ill in the first place? Just imagine a bladder infection, don't you find out what it is exactly because of the bacteria found in your urine? So far no one has been able to give me a satisfactory explanation for that an? Therefore I have never tried.

True, it sounds a bit far fetched but as far as being disgusting what do you think about other therapies being used all over the world which kill people and are no good except for those making money from them, do you find that disgusting too? I could mention a few, like chemotherapy, needless operations, treatments that make people worse then they were when they started, completely wrong nutritional advice that has impared a whole generation..... Ever thought of that as disgusting? What about all the medication sold in perfectly honorable pharmacies that have killed hundreds of thousands of people? Disgusting too? Or have you never thought about that? Compared to all that maybe Urine Therapy is not that disgusting after all!

One last thing..... What about the trying to prevent anyone finding a cure for illness like cancer that kill people in droves all over this planet and cause huge suffering so that they earn more money or the "right" person gets the Nobel prize for it? Disgusting as well? And the persecution of all those who have fought for our wellbeing? See... I believe you are a good person but I also believe that you are a person who needs to do a bit of independent research so that you know where you stand! And.... there will always be treatments you agree with and which work for you and those which don't, that's life.....

That's cool too, you can have your own opinion. But I think you missed the whole point of this website. If you are the kind of person that believes shared knowledge should be censored, then you might as well just go to the CDC, AMA, FDA, ACS, NIH websites, etc, and follow their recommendations. Because censoring is what they do.

Urine therapy has worked for hundreds of years (maybe thousands?) for a lot of people. It didn't work for me, but hey, I'm ecstatic it is an option that worked for others!

I don't think so :( I've tried many things on this site and feel that I am open-minded, but that is a little much. I have recommended this site to many of my friends and family, but after reading this bizarre post, I will stop never do that again. It also makes me re-think some of the other "cures" I have read about here on this site -- if anyone can just post anything, no matter how weird or disgusting. There MUST be SOME kind of filter by whomever runs this webpage so that you are not viewed as totally crazy and bizarre, and then the GOOD things that are recommended are overlooked because of things like this one. But, "to each his own", I suppose.

It's not disgusting if it is what cures you :-)

Urine is not disposal like feces is. Urine is sterile, and in fact, you "recycled" it in your mother's womb for 9 months. In fact your body recycles it today still, just sending excess of it to the bladder for disposal. Our bodies reuse what it can.

I have tried it but I couldn't get over the icky factor. However if you research urine therapy with an open mind you will find some fascinating info.

Hello Soiske, The symptoms listed here stongly indicate that neurological injury is happening; particularly the symptoms of: dizziness, blurred vision, incontinence, fainting, and pain in the spine of the back. These neurological symptoms may be due to a severe B-12 deficiency. Please find a way to obtain B-12. I recommend sublingual methylcobalamin, (a very effective active form for nerves) and or injections. (injected methylcobalamin if possible). For most people, symptoms can return in a few days even with injections, so I recommend daily supplementation.

Daily supplementation with the best B-complex you can find is also critical for healing. I suggest trying the lower dose type of B-complex, then add extra individual B's. For instance, extra Folate may be needed for GI trouble. B6 is also very helpful for IBS, but in good measure because it can irritate nerves in amounts above 50mg daily. B12, Folate, and B6 also aid neurotransmitter formation, good for depression, anxiety, irritability, and logical thinking. B12 and Folate are very supportive of each other, as Folate is good for tissue inflammation and B12 is good for nerve inflammation. ( allergies, burning itchy eyes, nasal congestion, etc. ) Extra Folate may be needed for awhile to aid inflamed tissues. I recommend methylfolate if possible, because it is another active form that is more easily used by the body. There could be a strong need for other nutrients such as amino acids, carnitine, and zinc, but B12 is most important to stop neurological damage.

I am going through a flush to get rid of candida myself, and am 50% better than I first started.

I eat veggies (nothing starchy), eggs, yogurt and lil bits of cheese. My breakfast is an omlette with different types of veggies and salsa for taste.

Once I omitted fruits and grains and other sugary items, I have been feeling much better but I still have some ways to go.

I also consume lots of raw garlic with food 3 times daily.

And I drink 2 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar in 8oz lukewarm water 3 time daily.

Hope you get better soon!

Hello everyone, Thank you all for all the info regarding candida. I just realised that it is the reason of my many daily sicknesses that I have had for many years. As I am a eating disorder person, the diet will be very very difficult for me. I also live on a island In Thailand and do not have the possibilty to purchase stuff from healthy stores as they don't exist overhere. On the top of that I am a vegetarian and I am completely lost off what I will be eating in the future.... My breakfast was normally fruits.... or porridge or muesli but now what could I eat???any suggestions?

I am also very interested in any ideas for meals that are good for candida but the purchase possibility is very poor here...

Thank you all in advance, Soiske

I wanted to chime in with my experience in changing my diet and adding several supplements on my fight to rid my body of candida. About a month ago I was educated about candida after going off of Cipro and realized it was the culprit for my problems (and in retrospect, I have probably been carrying this around for most of my life, since I was on antibiotics for years as a child and have always had a very compromised immune system. )

I decided to start by doing a basic gluten free and sugar free diet, since I am already dairy free it was quite restricted by default. After about a week I cut out all the other no-no foods as well. Problem is my boyfriend and I love the finer things, including wine and sushi and a whole lot of stuff I'm not supposed to eat... So for a couple weeks I've been in a cycle of being very disciplined and then splurging. Dumb, I know. But, the entire time since taking Cipro about a five weeks ago, I immediately implemented probiotics, garlic, oil of oregano, and vitamins A, E, and B complex, and I've also been taking coconut oil every day. I noticed a major difference in my energy levels and as far as my chronic anxiety and depression goes, it lifted majorly.

My boyfriend is out of town for a week so I've been gearing up and cleaning up my diet so that this week I could do some major cleansing. I switched probiotics to a better kind, started Ted's alkalizing baking soda/lemon mixture, and have only eaten raw kale, spinach, some raw almonds, and today avocado, for five days now (and will continue four more at minimum). I've been drinking huge amounts of water, and have added Milk Thistle and Tumeric into the mix as well. I will tell you what, I feel TERRIBLE, but I know it's just the candida die-off, and it proves how much I've been carrying around. Everything is achy, I am exhausted but not sleeping well, and have very short acute symptoms--I will have hives for literally about two minutes and then they disappear, I had a rash above my eye for 24 hours that disappeared as quickly as it came, I get itchy all over for a minute or two at a time and then it disappears, I am suddenly irritable and then back to normal. It's frustrating and I feel awful but I am taking heart in the fact that it is just a sign that it's working.

Tomorrow I plan to add Borax into the mix, which I am guessing will make me feel awful as well, but hopefully only in the short term. Looking back I am almost glad I slowly worked my way toward changing my diet and adding different supplements and probiotics, because if I would have done it cold turkey I probably would have been very ill. I can feel that my immune system is already struggling a lot to flush out all the toxins that are being released. Doing this slowly was good for me, although totally against my nature.
I hope this provides insight for someone here, and encouragement as well for those who feel like their diet or treatment isn't working because they feel worse. Keep going with it! I am really grateful for the information here and for those who have shared so much time and knowledge with us.

Chamomile Tea

★★★★★

I suffered from candidiasis after I had had 4 days of iv antibiotics (in hospital) for a bowel infection - and then, while my intestines were quite vulnerable (flora imbalance), I ate a mouldy pancake (unknowingly of course). Huge, itchy red welts spread over my body withins days. I even had white fungus growth in my ear canals (my ENT specialist showed me on his video screen). I tried most of the remedies on this site with some success (oregano oil, bicarb in drinking water, kefir and h2o2 etc). With each remedy that I tried, I got better but found it was true that I had to make sure I was trying new anti-fungals and alkalining remedies to keep on top of the infection (apparently, it mutates very quickly). It wasn't until I drank Chamomile tea that all my symptoms finally disappeared.

I had 3 cups of hot and v strong chamomile tea within a couple of hours (I used tea bags, although I imagine loose leaf would have been better). It gave me a big headache but I kept it up with at least 2 cups per day, for the next week.

I have been free of candidiasis for 2 years now and feel that the combination of exercise, healthy eating (alkalising foods), rotating anti-fungals and especially chamomile tea helped me enormously.

Bill, what is the name brand of the bar soap that you use to brush your teeth with? Also, what is the ratio used of iodine and hp (ie drops, cap full, water) for your mouthwash solution? How long have you been doing this? How long did it take for you to notice beneficial results? Thank you.

Hi Kitty... The main reasons which are hindering your cure for candida et al are because of the poor state of your teeth and gums and poor digestion caused by a weak or insufficient liver which is also causing apparent allergy problems.

The full regimen for the anti-candida protocol -- which is based on Ted from Bangkok's recommendations --is given in this comment stream. Just click on the heading of this comment -- "Need Advice Regarding Candida" -- and you will be taken to a page where you will find my comment with a link to both the full anti-candida protocol as well as the anti-candida diet that you should be following.

To improve your digestion, I would supplement with Betaine Hydrochloride as well as Pancreatin Enzymes -- taken with water before all meals. This will ensure proper digestion of all protein, carbohydrates and fats. Since you have a ketosis problem, you might well have a problem with carbohydrate digestion or this might also be due to a developing diabetes problem which also causes keto-acidosis. You should get this checked out and confirmed by a doctor.

The problem with your teeth has probably been caused by acid mouth due to both the oral candida as well as from acid waste from the plaque bacteria. You can brush your teeth with sodium bicarbonate - Baking Soda -- and sea salt or you can simply use Dr Gerald Judd's recommendation of just brushing your teeth with bar soap. The purpose of these protocols is help reduce the plaque bacteria and the candida biofilm formations in your mouth which tend to protect the candida and plaque bacteria.

Dr Judd, who researched teeth health for 18 years, says that using excess fluoride or eating acid foods are what weakens and destroys teeth -- not the candida or plaque bacteria (which tends to destroy the gums). In order for teeth to re-mineralize properly, you must therefore have alkaline saliva as well as minimal levels of plaque formation(no plaque bacteria). I use ordinary, unscented, no-addtive bar soap to brush my teeth together with an iodine or 3% hydrogen peroxide mouthwash. This has improved my own teeth health no end -- they are much whiter, stronger and better formed and I didn't have to go to he dentist for my yearly plaque scrap and de-gunk this year because plaque formation was minimal. Here is what Dr Gerald Judd, an orthodontist researcher, has to say about keeping teeth healthy:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/451268/Dr-Gerard-F-Judd-Ph-D-s-Good-Teeth-Birth-to-Death-The-Prescription-for-Perfect-Teeth-Originator-of-the-Alcohol-Cure

Also, if you think you are allergic to something like lemon/lime plus BS or Stevia there is an easy test to confirm this. Just put a drop of the solution on your arm and leave it. If it causes redness or itching then you are allergic to that substance. If this does not happen, then you are probably suffering, instead, from a candida die-off or Herx reaction. Just cut back on the dose for a while, then build it back up later.

To improve the state of your liver and help to rid yourself of allergies, I would follow the protocol which I describe at this link here:

https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/allergies6.html#liver

Hello Ted, This is a long candida question. I have helped many suffering with this over the past fifteen years with different yeast strains, but still myself am afflicted. I have candida Krusi. I will skip the details or my background for reader ease.

I would love Ted to respond to the following when he has a moment and I am open to others imput as well. My intention is to cover all my bases with no misses. Thanks for all that respond

Attitude: Good usually

Current afflictions: Daily yeast infections and thrush effects marriage was told that my husband cant kiss for a year or we will keep up with reoccurance. Is this true? If so I guess this will never heal because we are mad about each other.

Treatment of hydrogen peroxide infusions at a center for 1 hour twice a week for four month's

Result : No changes

All azole meds have been tried for five month's

Result:Resistance even after rotation with Candida diet.

Oil pulling three month's

Result: clears thrush for the day but returns following morning.

Current :cell food :Magnesium citrate, high end probiotic with no fos, 2 tbs lemon juice with 1/4 tsp bs, white meat only once or twice a week(difficult to digest), cooked and raw veggies(limited on dressings as my enamel is almost gone and has extreme pain so no Apple Cider Vinegar on salads or lemon), almond milk rotated with coconut milk (unsweetened), Stopped taking stevia drops to avoid allergy reaction from to much use. Biotin 400, tried every natural antibiotic under the sun herbs ect... All met with resistance, l -glutimine. Also cilantro for metal detox. Anything missing that is inexspensive?

Info I need : My diet is more limited than most in flavor. What I typed is what I eat, seeds, veggies and a little meat. I stopped being able to continue this after four years. I had no energy. And my hair is thin and falls out frequently. Limited funds make me come to you, the think tank.

Things that I need:

1) (looking for a good b complex that is not acid forming if someone had advice for where to find one that does not contain nicinimide as this was advised to be a poor choice. Do I need a b complex still or will one specific b meet my needs.

2) I put cell food into a veggie cap to pass the teeth with no pain and I also do this with gse. My teeth were ruined by cell food held under the tongue and then swallowed followed by immense pain ( I understand that the mouth will show us how healthy we are but this was the outside enamel on healthy teeth effected on contact and has resulted in my not being able to have any avc or lemon unless in baking soda remedy.) My question is once the veggie cap I filled reaches my stomach, because its not diluted in water, will it hurt my mucosal lining ? I dont need more damage.

3) What can I do for minerals besides liver(liver not an option my body ejects it)??

4) Its been said their is conflicting ideas on nutritional yeast , some say it is dead and will not effect yeast while others disagree. I would love to have this option to eat again because I like the taste and it will give me an additional a seasoning option. Any supported evidence would be very helpful as I do not want to go back to nine years ago ??

5)Kumbucha is a no, no for obvious reason but what about cultured coconut water they now sell in the store, and rejuvilac (its base is wheat and this is usually a no go but is the water from it ok?)

6) I would love to add stevia back into my diet would this be ill-advised from your perspective ted?

7) Fat ::: Everyone says not to much coconut oil or oils in gen or fat , but this seems to be the only thing that keeps me from eating carbs. Is the fat intake really preventing my healing ?

8) Ketosis for several years is hard to prevent if you are unable to eat even complex carbs, quinoa ect with out outbreak. What do suggest on a food level to prevent further imbalance???

9) Ted , I have been told that other yeasts are cured and have assisted others on an emotional and informative level and they have gotten cured. Is there still hope for me?

10) My husband eats millet in the mornings because he is thin and cant work an eight hr day with out the carbs , I believe this is still why he has yeast even though he does food combine, is this true and is he giving it to me when we make love even if it is not visible on the outside of his body?

11) can I have eggs , some say egg whites while others claim only yolk should be consumed. No Yolk!

Ted : My gratitude for all you observations and listening is very valuable. Thank you I hold a lot of love in my heart for you although I dont know you. You provide a place for people to share their story's of trial and error. Blessings to you..... I will donate.

Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide)
Posted by Kathie (Houston, United States) on 05/15/2011

Randy, Nicotinamide can be purchased as a single ingedient vitamin. When my tongue had turned black from the candida, I began using lavendar "internally" in a way... I would gently scrape my tongue then rub in a couple of drops on my tongue 2-3 times per day. I have heard of people putting the essential oil on a charcoal tablet and then taking that internally, though I have never tried it.
