Apple Cider Vinegar

I had my cholesterol checked in Jan. before I started drinking apple cider vingar(209). I had it checked again 3 months later and it is down 3 points (206). I am taking 1 tablespoon three times a day mixed in juice. I am going to hope it continues to bring it down. I take a number of vitamins too. The only thing I have not had is weight loss. I am small and have put on a couple of pounds so the ACV did not make me lose any weight.

A few years ago I paid $10 for a quick cholesterol screening at a local grocery store. I didn't know what my level was, I don't think it was high in the first place, but the results were amazing. I had been taking a tablespoon of BSM for a couple of months. I am not an athletic person by any stretch of the imagination, and I don't exercise with any honorable amount of regularity. And when I returned an hour later for the results, the guy shook his head in amazement because he said my cholesterol revealed what would be normal for someone who was involved in heavy athletic activity! (My unimpressive physique said otherwise, as he knew.) I had not been taking any other supplementation, so it is my unwaivering belief that the BSM had such an impact on my blood system that it revolutionized it! I got away from it for a while, but desire to see an improvement in my complexion, AND see if I can vacate my noggin' of ensuing gray hairs!

My cholesterol was above normal my Dr put me on Lipitor causing memory issues. So I decided to to stop taking it and eat oatmeal and cinnamon because I had researched natural remedies and this is what I found could lower it. It worked. My cholesterol is still borderline but my HDL and triglecirides are good so my Dr is happy with my results. I have add apple cider vinegar to regimen. Hope everyone has my success. Flax Seeds

Freshly ground Flax Seed. Buy the Flax Seeds whole and organic. Grind them just before using... a few tablespoons per day on your food, salads, etc or just grind and eat them alone. Never substitute with pre-ground or the oil... they are not as effective at lowering cholesterol. Extra vitamin C helps too.

Avoid Trans Fats

High cholesterol can be lowered by avoiding foods with trans fats in them. Trans fats tend to raise LDL (bad) cholesterol and lower HDL (good) cholesterol. They are suspected of causing many health problems, including obesity, type 2 diabetes, and rigid arteries. In the ingredients list, if you see "partially hydrogenated" oils, do not eat. For more information go to www.bantransfats.com

Vitamin C

I was reading where high Cholesterol can be fixed by taking 3000-5000 mg of vitamin C per day. The theory is cholesterol attaches itself to lesions in your blood vessels. The Vitamin C repairs the lesions thus allowing the body to flush the cholesterol that is not needed naturally. Further the articles stated Cholesterol is needed to heal nerves that get damaged. The statin drugs stop the body from making cholesterol thus the nerves don't get healed. I took a fall 2 years ago and no one can figure out why I am in pain. I have been on statin drugs for 4 years. My theory is I damaged nerves in the fall and the lack of cholesterol is not allowing my nerves to heal. I weaned myself off the Lipitor. And am taking 1500 mg 3 times a day of vitamin C. I don't know if it will work I hope so. But I have noticed my memory is getting better.

I was told by my doctor that my cholesterol was high (240). I discovered your web site and learned about the apple cider vinegar, I've been trying it with water along with fish oil/flax seed oil/garlic supplements. i also added a little exercise and I've never felt so great. I will soon have another blood test to recheck my cholesterol levels. i am confident that my cholesterol levels have lowered to normal levels.

Apple Cider Vinegar

A couple of days ago I did research on pectin. (I have about 1 pound of pectin at home). If pectin is added to the diet (3%) there is something like a 90% reduction in cholesterol and plaque in the aorta after eating on a diet of pectin added foods for about 9 months in tests of microswine (miniature pigs). Pigs are very close to humans.

The reason why apple ciders works so well in reduction of blood pressure and fats is due to the pectin content in the apple cider. Of course, if you add them to your food (pectin), the plaque and cholesterol will be reduced. Most natural supplements in the market that sell pectin is not therapeutically effective because the amount they are adding is far too small (10-200 mg), while pectin is considered a soluble fiber food, we need 3% when combined with other foods. Best way is to add them in soups and fruit juice.
