I had good luck with blackstrap molasses for my 11cm uterine fibroid for the first couple months that I took it--noticeable decrease in size, better energy, more regular bowel movements. Then suddenly I noticed dramatic changes--marked increase in the size of my fibroid, overall body swelling, skin changes, constipation, hemorroids. I was taking birth control pills at the time and would track these changes according to the week on the pill--week 1 I looked 2 mos pregnant; week 2 I looked 3 mos pregnant; week 3 I looked 5 mos pregnant, and then I'd get my period and all would go back to baseline. After some months of this I noticed that my body stopped going back to baseline and that these changes just seemed to move in and stay. My clothes were no longer fitting, no longer could do yoga, too hard with all that swelling. My MD said that bcp's would not make a fibroid bigger but I thought otherwise.

One month ago I discontinued the bcp's. Guess what happened? My fibroid is GONE! My body is back to normal--the way I remember my body looking and feeling before all this shenanigans started. I see my MD in 3wks and I bet she will be shocked by this outcome. If you're taking bcp's along with any other natural regimen (i.e. Black strap molasses), consider that it may be more foe than friend in your efforts to manage your fibroid. I couldn't be happier to have my old body back! Thanks for reading and good luck to all.

Hello, I am so glad I found this forum!

i am due to have a massive exploratory abdominal laporotomy in the next few weeks which may end up in a hysterectomy which I am trying to avoid.

i just got married in may and have never had children. I am an older bride, but I still want to try for a family if at all possible.

my chances of coming out with my uterus after surgery are next to nothing, so I am anxious to try any means to keep my fertility intact.

1. I have 3 to 4 fibroids, the largest is 30 cm and my belly is swollen[watermelon size]

and the others ares softball to melon size.

2. I am beginning a regime of the Apple Cider Vinegar baking soda. Going to try aas many times a day as I can

with 2 times a day being my standard time

3. I will keep you posted on if there are any changes.

i also did an olive oil and pineapple cleanse last night, and that really wiped my insides out.

feel free to give me any specific advice or recipes. Thank you!!

hi, I'm a 46yo female from Singapore. Am trying the ACV now that I hope will shrink my fibroids. I have a few fibroids with the biggest at 8cm. Can someone tell me if it's ok if I were to take the ACV and at the same time taking Evening Primrose oil?. Am taking the EPO twice daily for my PMS; I was just wondering if the EPO will interfere with ACV. I really want my fibroids to shrink as I don't want to go for surgery. Any suggestions or comments would be much appreciated.

Thanks everyone for great input regarding Fibroids. Since most of us are in the dark & trying to avoid surgeries with massive fibroids [10cm ].. I have a SERIOUS PLEA for every woman posting here. It's great to hear that your "symptoms" have eased up a bit or a lot BUT what would really be helpful to all of us here would be an organized & measured report of your progress, starting with:

1. The size of your [biggest] Fibroid initially

2. Remedies you followed with measurements

3. Proof of "size reduction" with the latest size from your latest ultrasound > for this you may have to REVISIT the site and update us. Please take a bit of pain so the rest of us can have a calming assurance that Yes.. Indeed.. the SIZE CAN SHRINK TOO ..

NOW SOME TIPS:

1. After consulting numerous doctors, a few surprised me with the fact that the menstrual pain/cramps are actually due to Anemia & prolonged blood depletion instead of the Fibroids themselves. So don't just treat your Fibroids, but also take Iron Supplements such as pills and spirulina powder [mixed in carrot or apple juice]. Do not just depend on BSM if you have severe Anemia, get your #s checked. It turns out, the more anemic you are, the more you will bleed. YIIKEESS!!! Its a cycle. My fibroid is still there.. but I've seen the miracle of treating Anemia with 90% pain reduction! And reduced bleeding as well! It will take you 1 or 2 months to see dramatic results! :) Just STICK to the regimen.

2. Many women here have complained of constipation etc due to IRON pills. Did you know that there are Iron pills in health food stores that are made of whole foods & are vegetarian and hence more absorbable and not upsetting your stomach at all! Try them before giving up. But add some spirulina or BSM to this. If you are severely anemic, take 2 to 3 pills a day for a few months. Then taper down to 1, for maintenance. Do get blood work done to see your requirements.

3. Many women here have also complained of ACV's taste and I had the same issue. But reading its wonders, I had to come up with a way, and I did! Its the most delicious concoction/cocktail ever. Instead of taking ACV straight or mixing it up in water, I am mixing 2tbs in Lychee Juice with 1/4 tsp Baking Soda. You can use apple juice or use any sweet juice to counter it's sourness. You will be addicted to this delicious drink.

4. Rinse your mouth right after as ACV could be bad for teeth enamel.

5. Other women have complained of BSM's strong taste. The best way to take it is to add it to some hot water and enjoy it like tea. Others here have drizzled it on ice cream too! So don't give up. Be creative. Don't mix it up with your coffee or tea as Caffeine tends to feed fibroids! That's what I've heard.

6. Additionally, you could take DIM supplment to balance fibroid-causing Estrogen

Again .. I wonder if one should just sit back & relax just because the symptoms have disappeared. Your fibroid could still be there or growing! So do go for a 2nd scan and definitely report your findings here specially the SIZE-CHANGES or Shrinkage! This is the only site where we can truly trust the testimonials. So please ladies, keep us updated with your measurements! Don't abandon us once your symptoms subside. Keep us posted. THANKS - poetess

Stacey, do you know if your fibroid shrunk? I also live in boston area. Had a myomectomy the summer of 2009, had a baby last year and want to get pregnant again and now I have a orange size fibroid behind my cervix. I went for an MRI and saw a specialist and now I'm afraid that I might miscarry if I get pregnant but he said the risk of the surgery outweighs the benefits at this time. I will try anything that might help. I have been reading all the posts. Should I try 1 tsb of ACV and molasses daily or twice a day? any suggestions from anyone would be appreciated. Thx! W

Iodine
Posted by Christina (Ann Arbor, Mi) on 07/18/2011

I was reading these comments with interest. I've been taking Iodoral (2 tablets/day) for almost a year, but no real change in fibroid. I'm wondering if my body flushes out some of it, so it doesn't get full benefit. That's why I'm revisiting the iodine painting. Maybe if you apply it directly to the body it will be absorbed better? I don't know. I do know that castor oil and iodine act as liver detox, and that's why the fibroids shrink, theoretically, because the iodine helps the liver get rid of the toxins in your body (bad estrogen included).

Excess estrogen contributes to the increase in fibroid size. The average physician doesn't make the connection, nor does h/she make the connection between progesterone and fibroids. If you have large fibroids, you're supposed to avoid the following : progesterone cream, estrogen in any form, DHEA, licorice, yam, black cohosh. Progesterone cream may make small fibroids shrink, but larger ones seem to love progesterone.

It seems that hormone imbalance/deficiency is the root cause of fibroids, beginning w/ thyroid dysfunction. There are probably other causes that contribute to this, but this seems to be the primary reason women entering perimenopause are susceptible to them. A balanced diet can help stave off further growth, but I'm not sure that it will shrink them. It seems that liver detox support is the most likely solution, in addition to correcting the underlying problem. Get your hormone levels checked, esp. thyroid. A simple blood test may not show deficiency. If you have the symptoms, you most likely have a thyroid problem. You can take your temp for 7 days beginning the second day of your menstrual cycle. If it's consistently low, you've most likely a problem. Again, theoretically, once the thyroid is balanced, the other stuff should follow suit.... But, liver detox is something you can do now w/o a problem. Also, check your adrenal function. If that's off, it can cause all the other stuff to "fall" like dominos.

I was diagnosed with Endometriosis/Adenomyosis along with a 6cm fibroid in the right side of my uterus a week ago. I started to have extreme bleeding (blood clots) last year and feel I wwaited longer than I should have to get it checked out, but I have no medical insurance, so things can become expensive for me very quickly. My Dr. recommended a hysterectomy but I am 34 and may want to have children, so I started the molasses Monday evening (the 21st). I am scheduled for surgery in one month to have the fibroid cut out, along with some of the Adenomyosis, but I want to avoid this if I can, so I'm trying to shrink them naturally.

I will update everyone in a few days. (Those of you who have yet to post, it's VITAL that you report back to let others know what is working and nor working for you!).

I was diagnosed with uterine cancer, and about two weeks prior to my surgery I read about blackstrap molasses. I started taking in the mornings. Put a teaspoon in a little warm water and filled a cup with organic milk every morning.

After I had surgery, my doctor advised that she found my fibroids were much smaller than she thought. Her words were "It wasn't as bad as she thought. " I don't know if it was the blackstrap molasses that helped them or what, but I think there is no doubt that the molasses is giving me more energy during the day. I am continuing to take it every day, and think I may take it morning and night after I have read many of the posts.

I was glad when I came across this site. After reading this thread, I immediately order ACV and started using it. I have also been taking lime instead of lemon. I hope this will give the same result. I intend to add Baking soda since I already have some. I went to the store to try and get BSM but what I saw was black molasses and I was confused so I didnt buy it, is it the same thing? I also heard taking garlic and royal jelly helps so I am gonna order some. I intend to treat this thing from every angle till it goes, the hardest part for me is sticking to the diet and the routine of taking ACV, lime etc because I am always travelling. The good thing about this approach is that the its all natural so you cant overdose. Lol

hello there!!!! I've been reading and reading and reading all your posts on this thread for exactly 6 days now. I was wondering if I should tell you my story... At first I decided not to, but then... Well... all of your stories have helped me so much in the past week that I realized that maybe mine will help someone else as well.

So here we go.

I've had fibrosis 10 years ago when I was only 20. I had 3 of them, inside my uterus (sorry, don't know the exact term in english for it) I don't remember the exact size but all together they were almost 500gr.

my condition was very serious, because I had extremely bad anemia (7gm/dl on the last exame they did before I started treatment for it.)

15 days after they found out I had a surgery. My sweet sweet doctor was actually an angel sent from God to help me out, and although the surgery was long and hard he was able to take all of them out and keep my uterus intact. My mom always mentioned to everybody how he talked to me like a dad, and not like a doctor! Well, that was sort of what I needed I guess since I cried every day, every hour during those 15 days. the only time he saw me NOT crying was when he came to see me after the surgery.

the bad news were that the fibroids could come back.

Well... I am pretty certain they did. I haven't gone to the doctors yet because I am recently without health insurance. =( it's always like that right??? something always happens when you don't have it.

but around 7 months ago I noticed how my period flow increased a lot. And also cramps, really painful cramps, and lots of bloating. Around 4 months ago I noticed that the right side of the lower part of my stomach (right by the edge of my scar, of all places) feels a little "harder". That was basically the confirmation I needed. That little Bas*$%ard is back!

I've been considering my options as doctors go and my cousin had a procedure to "remove" hers without surgery in Brazil. I don't want to alarm my family back there, so I've been researching options like that online and trying to find a clinic in my area.

some months things seem to be ok. Not so much pain, not so much bleeding. (more than it was before but still) I'm taking iron supplements to keep the anemia at bay (although I crave ice and cherry tomatoes like crazy) but things have been ok. Just going through WAY more pads, and going crazy with that fear that I'm gonna leak in public (which I have a few times in the past months)

cramps started now a week before my period. Pretty bad ones, and sometimes icant even touch my stomach, can you imagine wearing jeans???? it's very inconvinient and all I want to do is stay home. But I can't =(

i am very regular, can't complain about that... and when I finally get my period cramps get soooo much worse, sometimes it feels like someone stuck a knife on me and is twisting it =(

i have to take medication for pain every 3, 4 hours for a whole week, otherwise I can't function.

but last week, thrusday to be more exact... I woke up and I looked 6 months pregnant. I am not joking.

i am 5'2" and 100lbs. I was all belly. There is no way whatsoever that I could be pregnant so I wasn't really worried about that, but it was weird. I had a huge stomach, soooo sore, and extremely tender boobies. When I googled about it all I found was... "you are pregnant" Well... I know how babies are made, and... Uhmmm that's not happening on my side, sooo no I AM NOT!

so I thought maybe it could be the fibroids (although last time I had really bad anemia and cramps, I never had this bulge. Maybe I didn't notice because I was around 15, 20lbs heavier then (oh what a good mamma's food does to us!!! ) I don't know... so I started looking up about fibroids and found this site.

i got very excited reading all your posts. The good thing about natural remedies is... If you follow exactly the instructions, if it doesn't work, probably won't do any harm. I prefer natural stuff anyways because I hate doctors and medicine and stuff...

i read almost everything. I made sure I got the ingridients right!!! UNSULPHURED BSM... And I also went for the organic ACV with baking soda. Was very careful not to buy baking powder lol

i started with the whole thing that same day, while looking like a 6 month pregnant woman. I took 2tbsp of ACV with 1/4 tsp of baking soda on warm water, then 1tsp of BSM followed by a cup of water (sometimes I drink less than that cause I already pee like crazy... all this water will keep me in the bathroom the whole day.)

i took that around 7pm that night... And I couldn't believe when I woke up... I looked just 4 months pregnant! =P but the best part of it all... No pain. no pain at all.

i wondered if it was like a placebo effect. If after reading all these amazing stories if I was just letting my mind take charge... I don't know... but I kept doing it.

i can only take it 2x a day because it's a bit inpractical for me to carry all that stuff to work. But everyday I felt better, and my stomach was smaller. It's too bad it "grows" overnight but it takes a couple of days to go down!

but it's ok! I'll take anything!!!!

for the first time in my life I couldn't wait to get my period. I just wanted to see how it was... Since it started AGAIN the first day is already very heavy and painful. I can feel it coming full of clots. it's awful, and I know you all know that.

I've been taking this since last thrusdays and... Got my period today. No pain NONE AT ALL! And I didn't even notice until I went to pee. Also very very very very very little. I just changed pads because I always do anyways... but didn't really need to.

as I said I am extremly regular. In my whole life my period had just been late or early 2 times, and both because I was too nervous and excited. So the BSM and ACV didn't change that so far. I was getting it on the 14th!! And 14th it was!!!

i honestly can't believe it. This is amazing. I can't wait to see how next days are going to be... Hopefully will stay like that!

i hate the taste of those things, but like someone said here before, if it helps... I'll take, and smile and say YUMMMMM!

so much better than surgery. My surgery was extremely invasive... Just like a c-section, since the tumors were inside my uterus. the recuperation afterwards was extremely slow and because I work with kids the doctor didn't let me work for 6 months.

i cannot afford it this time.

=(

so I'll keep my fingers crossed and keep taking this. I hope it shrinks the fibroids, but if it doesn't... I hope it keeps them from growing even more.

thank you so much for all your testimonials!!! Your shared experiences have been of much help and inspiration to me!!!

I had fibroids in my boobs for years and I took evening primrose oil for 1 month and they are still not back and that was 3 and 1/2 yrs ago. I decided to try to continue to take it and didnt like the thinness that it did to my skin. It worked and my doctor told me to take it even tho I already was. I had been on it for 1 month when she said I should get my yearly mommogram and assumed I would have fibroids as I had for almost 30 yrs, and none were to be found. I also have some on my uteris but they are still there. I dont need surgery for them and hope I never do.

at first I took acv, molasses and baking soda.

until the baking soda made my skin grey it had aluminum in it. Then I just used Apple Cider Vinegar and molasses. For nearly a month now. Then I decided to make things quicker. By combining tumeric, molasses, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and apple cidar vinegar, flax seed powder, grape seed extract and spirulina. Today's my first trial run at this remedy. I'll keep you posted. I'm feeling better inside my stomach thats a good sign I can feel it working more.

apart from the usual mollases and Apple Cider Vinegar I think this double triple dose could be effective to shrink the fibroids. I dont eat anything with sugar, no meat, a little fish, water with lemon, or acv... No sodas, white breads, maybe whole wheat. No soy. Mainly almond milk, flax, fiber cereal.. Oatmeal.. My food intake is vary vary light. I'm training my body to survive off of little food intake to help this process more.

if I go out to dinner I'm ordfering fish and salad.

by the way if anypne has any other cures for fibroids or have tried ones close to this could you post your remedies. for fibroids and hair growth..

for hair growth I put a mixture of galric, acv, coconut oil, in my hair and I color it naturally with henna. Red henna mixed with lemon acv, coco nut oil, olive oil, tumeric I combine and leave in for about 2-4 hours. I'll keep you posted on that also. Oh by the way does anyone know how to properly make purple henna. I hear indigo mixed with black henna, and blackberries, cranberries, and lemon might be a good hair coloring for it. But if your familiar with it could you send meinfo on it thanks.. stay blessed...

Hi San,

The things that have helped with mine are -Unfiltered Apple Cidar Vinegar - 1oz mix in 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda - wait for fizz to stop and add 12 oz water and 1oz Orange juice.

I do this every morning, and when I have my period I do it two or three times a day as it REALLY slows bleeding.

Also, 1 heaping teaspoon (probably closer to 1 tablespoon) of unsulphered blackstrap molassas and 1 tablespoon of Virgin Coconut oil in my coffee every morning. Tastes nummy.

Evenings I take 600 mg Calcium, 600 mg Magnesium, 5, 000 iu vitamin D3, 3 mg Boron, and DIM (you will have to look up what that stands for - DIM balances estrogens), along with 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of turmeric and freshly ground (1/4 teaspoon) of black pepper in my tomato juice.

ALL of the above sounds kind of complicated.... But when you have fibroids and ovarian cysts you are willing to do most anything to have a normal life. I now have a pretty normal cycle, and am pretty thrilled that I can actually leave my house during my periods!

Incorporate one, incorporate all.... But once you find what works for you.... you will know it.

Good luck to you!

Well, I'm back to report MY FLOODING HAS OFFICIALLY ENDED! In February I noticed my bladder capacity had increased. This told me that the fibroid lying on my bladder had either dissolved or was shrinking. Until then my bladder was not very large so I had to frequently urinate.

I continued with the Mg and Zn, but added Calcium with Vitamin D in March.

This month I once again experienced bladder capacity increase with the added bonus of no flooding. If you've been following me, my flooding went from two whole days down to half a day since December. Now, I don't flood anymore!

This month's period is the first period I have had in five years that I have not flooded. I HAD NORMAL FLOW ON ALL DAYS! I did not have to change pads every hour and a half, but was able to go for four hours without spillage or seepage on the heaviest day of my period before changing my pad.

Nothing leaked, my underwear was alright, I didn't have to change clothing, no accidents AT ALL!

Ladies, you have to stay with it. It is not an overnight thing. My biggest fibroid was 3 cm (2 inches) round. I had at least 12 fibroids of different sizes in my uterus. They wanted to hysterectormize me. I said NO. You must say NO, too!

I dreaded the summer because I knew I would be miserable because of the overflow of blood during my period, but now I feel so much better knowing that the flooding has been arrested and I can have a somewhat more normal life this summer instead of being worried that I've soaked my clothes or that I'll have an accident in public.

It's a matter of patience, ladies. You have to have patience and you must believe you can heal. My body let me know at every turn what I was doing wrong and what I was doing right, and your body will tell you, too. Slow and steady wins the race, girls. Just keep taking care of yourself and stick to your cures, they work, trust me on this one!

I'm a new woman, I can go out in public without worrying, I can go visit my friends more now, I can sit for long periods of time without worrying about leaving a spot if you know what I mean, I'm just very happy right now!

Thank you Earth Clinic for your advice, I am so happy to have found this site. I am also so happy to be able to share and encourage others in finding their cure.

Natural is the way to go, it has been for me and I really hope it is for you, too!

I've just started taking 2 Tbls's of BlackStrap(Unsulphured) Molasses with a Tbls of _____s with mother Apple cidar vinegar.

at first I started taking Apple cidar vinegar with baking soda yet the baking soda must be the kind with no aluminun, not your everyday baking soda you can et from cvs or your local market.

you should get the one at whole foods or your local health food store with out alluminum.

I'm on a strict diet of

* No meat including chicken, beef never pork.

* No coffee it makes it worse

* no asparatime or splenda, nutra sweet they cause cancer.

* avoid all white sugar, chocolate, candies

ect. they make your situation of healing your self worse. yeah I knw oh its chocolate or gum or

sweets yet they make it worser for your body.

* No pastries, danish cakes, white flour,

white bread..

anything you eat such as pasta, ect should be eaten in moderation.

I act like I'm stuck on an island and all I have to eat or drink are coconut milk, water, baby coconut is really good to because theres more water in them. I find mine at the chinese market. But thats all I usually buy. I dont eat the fish, or noodles or other foods there because they smell weird to me just my opinion we all have them.

* No Ramen noodles with the spice pack thats MSG

* Chinese food its MSG

*NO SODAS, DIET GINGER ALE ECT.

maybe selter but with quinine. Not the flavored type. You can squeeze lemon for extra taste. or add a little gin..lol

I REALIZE THERES A LOT OF NO'S HERE YET YOUR BODY AND MIND WILL REWARD YOU 100 TIMES OVER FOR MAKING THESE WISE & HEALTHLY LIVING CHOICES.

I make sage drinks with lemondae, honey and sage thats good your fibroids as well. (from back to eden book), or tumeric tea good for the bones.

there inexpensive cheap ways to heal yourself of fibroids.

I'll keep everyone posted on the fibroid remedy I'm trying. Yet my tummy feels a lot better and its shrinking. plus I go for walks everyday and stretch that helps.

Best of luck and a speedy recovery to everyone.

Greetings everyone, Read all the wonderful testimonies and support the fact that ACV and BS ease the pain. However, I have not (unless I missed that) read any testimonies of the Fibroids DISAppearing completely... I am 49, and now my doctor want to perform a hysterectomy... I dont eat meat, eat lots of veggies, and recently started drinking alkaline water (VERY expensive), etc... Thanks and Blessing to all.

I've been looking at websites trying to find something to shrink my fibroids, which are very large, making my womb the size of a 12 week pregnancy. After reading about blackstrap molasses I bought some a few weeks ago and started taking 2 tablespoonfuls each day.

My period is usually quite heavy. I use a mooncup (a silicone menstrual cup), so I can see how much blood I'm losing. Well, apparently women lose on average 35ml of blood each period, but for the first few days of my period that's what I usually lose in one day.

I'm now on my first period since starting the BSM, and it seems much lighter than usual. Today is day 1, and I have only lost about 15ml, much less than usual. So I believe that it is doing something! I don't know yet whether or not it will have any effect on my fibroids, but I'm going to carry on with it, and see what happens.

I have tried taking Apple Cider Vinegar too, but it gives me very bad heartburn (I know, ACV is supposed to cure heartburn, but I'm the other way round for some reason... Does anyone have any suggestions why this might be?).

I'm finding the posts on here fascinating, especially as so many people have had positive results. I really don't want to have a hysterectomy, as one doctor suggested, as I'm only 37. Thanks for all the information so far. I'll update with how I get on with the BSM.

Hi Ted, Hi EC,

Could you please let me know if it is ok to mix ACV, BSM and baking soda all togather and drink the mixture first thing in the morning and get the benefits of all three?

Daisy, I don't think iodine tincture would be enough iodine for something like fibroids. When you paint it on your skin much of it evaporates anyway. You might want to look into iodine that you can take internally, like lugol's solution or the pill form called Iodoral. These can be purchased online, but with the situation in Japan many sites are sold out. Have you looked into balancing your estrogen, since too much is a cause of fibroids? You could try something called DIM and also progesterone cream. I also have fibroids and just recently purchased Iodoral. I am first doing the liver/kidney cleanse that Bill recommends before I start the iodine to help with any detox symptoms. There is an iodine forum on yahoo groups that has a lot of good information about supplementing with iodine and the other supplements that need to be taken along with iodine. Best of luck to you with your health.

Can you please let me know the complete name of Iodine that you have used. I bought Apothecary Iodine Tincture 2% U. SP (Walgreens brand). Since I have multiple fibroids I want to try most effective one. Anyone please let me know.

Dear Margarate, After reading your successful story, I am feeling well little bit. Most of the reviews I saw here are for stopping heavy bleeding. I have multiple fibroids & the worst part is my uterus size has enlarged to 17 cm lentgh wise. I am so worried because we are yet to plan for kids. I have painful periods for a day & I don't have any other problems during the cycle. I want to know how you applied tincture of iodine as a patch. Please let me know any other things that you tried and think will work. I am really desperate to get rid of this and have a baby. Thanks.

THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone on this amazing website for all the information. I also was diagnosed with a fibroid, and a polyp in my uterus. I had really heavy bleeding and gigantic clots that were freaking me out. My doctor removed two cervical polyps, but said I would need surgery to remove the one in my uterus.

I found this site and started taking ACV, 2 T in 8 oz. Water, at least twice per day. I haven't tried the BSM yet, but I'll go get some. So far, the ACV is really helping. I will go in for another ultrasound in a month or two to see if the fibroid is really shrinking. She said I had to have surgery to remove the fibroid but I would rather not do that if it's possible to shrink it using these methods.

Thank you so much to everyone for sharing your stories.

If anyone needs a good iron supplement, by far the best I have found is Rainbow Light Complete Iron System. I have taken iron for years because I've always had heavy periods. This one by Rainbow Light is fantastic. It absorbs really well and does not irritate the stomach at all, at least with me. I have tried a lot of iron supplements and this one is fantastic. Some Whole Foods stores carry it, some do not, but they will special order it for you. I get mine at an independently owned health food store.

Thanks again for all the info about ACV, BSM, and also Natto.

Crosby's blackstrap molasses contains sulphur - you need unsulphered blackstrap molasses.

BSM never helped my fibroids. Nothing did really, but eventually surgery was a good solution for me.

After taking 2 tbs. Daily I haven't noticed any difference. Still flooding, still cramping. I could try switching brands (I used Crosby's), but I doubt that it will help. I'm disappointed that I don't have the results that others have had.

Apple Cider Vinegar is the absolute BEST remedy there is for fibroids and bad mentrual cycles! My sister in law is now a true believer too- she was having all the bad symptoms and I told her how to take it and this past month was a LOT better for her! It stopped my heavy bleeding and the HUGE clots I was passing too.

Try this: 1 Tb ACV, add 1/8 tsp aluminum free baking soda and let it bubble up for about 20 seconds. Then add 100% apple juice (as much as you like) and drink it. You'll feel a difference in your PMS symptoms as well- almost no crankiness. I call it my "Happy Juice. " LOL

Hope this helps!

LOVE Earth Clinic!
I HAD a 5" tumor, non-fibroid, non-cancerous, in my uterus. My Ob/Gyn suggested a D & C, but I know they can be dangerous and painful. I looked for remedies on the web, and found out that Frankincense is anti-tumoral. I melted Extra Virgin Coconut Oil in a glass jar, added 2 tsp Vitamin E oil, 2 tsp Frankincense, and 2 tsp Tea Tree Oil. I rubbed it on my abdomin 2x a day for the past week. I also found out that making a very strong tea from cinnamon sticks will do a SERIOUS cleanse of the uterus (but will cause a miscarriage if you're pregnant- so BEWARE) and I've been waiting for my monthly to start so I could do that as well. My tumor is definitely shrinking and I feel almost back to normal since starting the oil rub. The tumor was causing me to be very anemic and very weak, but after just 2 days of the oil rub, I noticed a BIG improvement. Taking Apple Cider Vinegar 2x a day changed my monthly cycle from only 24 days (which has been typical my whole life) to a normal 28 day cycle and that's WONDERFUL!

But, this month I've gone 32 days and still no period. I'm wanting to try the cinnamon tea and see if I can pass this tumor, but the instructions for the uterine cleanse was to drink the tea once your period starts. So, I'm not sure what to do...... I'm concerned that the tumor turned loose from the uterine wall and is sitting on the mouth of the cervix and is blocking the flow of blood? Is that possible? And will the tumor become toxic if I don't get it out? Should I start the cinnamon tea without having started my monthly?

Thanks for any help ya'll can give me-Kendra

Hi, I found this site after being diagnosed with a huge fibroid last month after 6 months of terrible periods. My fibroid was about the size of a softball, I'm 32 and relatively healthy (although apparently very anemic from the fibroid). Mostly vegetarian and try to not to eat a lot of processed foods but I do drink a ton of coffee. I'm terrified of having surgery so I immediately began taking 2 tablespoons of ACV morning and night (I definitely forget to take it some mornings/nights) I tried taking a teaspoon of molasses (blackstrap unsulphered) but I find it upsets my stomach, I'm assuming because I don't generally eat a lot of sugar) but I do take it a few times a week.

I also have been doing castor oil packs a couple times a week and have been taking cayenne pepper almost every day (in capsule form). I tried taking Vitex but I felt like it made me depressed and made me very tired and I broke out almost immediately, I only took it for 4 days though so I did not give my body time to adjust to it so I may try it again.

So I just had my period for the first time since beginning this and there was such an improvement! I didn't even know it was coming and even began to get nervous that I wasn't going to get it but I did and at first it started out very heavy like normal (but with no cramping) but that only lasted for a few hours and then it slowed and by the next night it was completely gone and it normally lasts 5-7 days. I had literally no cramping the entire time, I consider it a miracle. Also immediately after beginning the ACV I had so much more energy. I have no way to know if my fibroid has actually shrunk or not but I do feel so much better!

I'm on Depo. I want to get off it. I've gained weight since being on it. I want to go more natural. I found this site and have been reading with much interest. I bought some ACV and BSM. I've started taking it. I go see my OBGYN next month. Hopefully I'll be able to get off the Depo and use ACV and BSM to shrink the fibroids.

Hi Simi, I don't like to say what you can take when you are pregnant because it is a very unknown area for most things, but black strap molasses and apple cider vinegar are both kitchen remedies and I would suggest using them lightly, maybe a teaspoon of BSM a day and a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in water per day. That would be keeping well within what could possibly be in a recipe for cake for example and you would be able to eat cake. (I wouldn't haha! ) Hope this makes sense. Cheers and good luck, Lily.

I took BSM during pregnancies with no ill effects. 1 tblsp a day in hot water with ACV, the advice is to start with a tiny dosage. Maybe 1/2 tsp. Or less, once a day, and after a few days, twice a day. but I am wary of going over that amount even not during pregnancy.

Hi,
My concern right now is am in the process of IVF.... Since doctor had prescribed estrogen pills for this cycle... They have scanned today a fibroid in my uterus muscle... he says its not so big but I want to take care of it naturally if there is a way.

My question is Can I take blackstrap molasses when my embryo is getting implanted and when I get pregnant to cure this fibroid. Can I take apple cider vinegar everyday twice... IF so what would the dosage be.... Past period was really really painful like hell I didnt want to take painkillers as it would only harm my body.... Am getting totally stressed with this issue...... I really want some natural cure.... Thats why I was browsing and came across this wonderful thread.... If I can take all this alongside my pregnancy it woud be really great but am not sure..... Pls advise..... as I dnnow if my Doctor can answer this qs.

thanks ladies, Sona

In Texas, I have found unsulphered blackstrap molasses at Kroger, HEB, Randall's (Tom Thumb), Whole Foods. It is either with the baking products and syrups or sometimes in the "organic" section depending on the store. Some stores do not carry the unsulphered, but I am sure Whole Foods does...

Black strap molasses is a miracle drug for me and my menstral cycle. I buy organic unsulphured (wholesome brand). I take one tablespoon in the morning daily. When I am having a period I take 1 tablespoon every 12 hours... My cycle was last 12-16 days... after the Blackstrap Molasses I am down to 3 days.

In response to Jess140. The clots you are experiencing is the lining of the uturen walls falling. This happens to me & my sister during that time. Some women experience it & some don't. It's just a part of Mother Nature.

I have had fibroids for about 5 years. The pain during my cycle was incredible. Motrin barely put a dent in the cramps. I have tried the following remedies and found them to be successful to different degrees:

Turmeric capsules - When I take one of these with a Motrin I feel much less pain.

Pommegranate Juice - This juice completely wipes out the pain for me. It does make me a little sleepy so I usually drink it at night or when I can stay at home.

Pistachio Nuts - I know this sounds crazy, but these really help with the pain also. I tried them after I read an article on-line about a study done in Iran which stated that Pistachio's helped with women's monthly cramping.

Green Tea - Really gets rid of the pain. But I am sensitive to caffeine so I can only drink it during the morning and early afternoon.

One more note, DO NOT DRINK COFFEE DURING YOUR PERIOD. I was feeling fine one morning, no pain and then I drank grande latte and within 1/2 an hour I was in terrible pain.

These are my weapons against fibroid pain. I hope they help someone else.

Hello, I'm back! This month I decided to try something a little different. In previous posts I have talked about the six hours of flooding I experience in spite of the vast improvement in the length and quantity of my period. I deduced that the real difference in my improvement had to do with BSM and its Magnesium content.

So I thought to myself, "Self, what if the answer is Magnesium?"I purchased a bottle of Magnesium Oxide tablets (regular plain old Mg) from the drugstore in 250 mg. Strength. I also purchased Zinc Gluconate (regular plain old Zn) in 50 mg. Tablets. I began to take the Magnesium tabs, one tab a day, two weeks before my period. Well, what do you know? NO FLOODING! I kid you not, I did not flood last month! I believe that Mg is the key.

I think that some women need a little more of the Mg than others when dealing with fibroids. I do not worry about overdoing the Mg because it is eliminated by the kidneys and one cannot overdose, so even though BSM supplies Mg, a little help from the drug store or health food aisle will not hurt! So, ladies, perhaps you should increase your intake of Magnesium to help cut that pesky lingering flooding, however temporary it may be. Get yourself some Zinc, too. It won't hurt.

Since ACV takes calcium away, you will find that the additional Mg will help shrink your fibroids faster. I have lost an additional two inches off my waist and lower abdomen since adding the Mg tabs, so there is definitely a bonus in it for you. I feel better about my figure coming back; up to this point I've looked several months pregnant and I feel good about my tummy flattening out. If this keeps up (and I think it will), I'll be back to normal by summer!

So, to recap: Try increasing your intake of Magnesium to combat lingering temporary flooding.

I will be back next month to report on my next period with the Magnesium tabs along with ACV and BSM and post results. I am so happy for Earthclinic, as I like to help people and I hope this helps you ladies out there get your life back and start living again! Stop being a prisoner once a month, come outside with the rest of us, we miss you!

Until next month!

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

I am taking the apple cider vinegar, baking soda and black strap molasses for uterine fibroids, a recipe that I got at this wonderful website, and it is definitely working. Except for one thing, I am getting little bumps on my face, which I never had before and I was wondering which one of the ingredients is giving me this side effects. Has anyone out there have had this experience?

I have fibroid and I have travelled a lot around in the aircraft. Recently I had blood clot and my doctor suggested that because I sit in the aircratf alot it makes the fibroid to sit on my vital vein and that is why I have a blood clot. It has been treated and my doctor says that since I am 50years old that menopause would set in and and the fibroid would shrink but meanwhile a friend told me of teds remedy and I looked it up but unfortunately I have been using the lime and soda with a few drops of vinegar. What should I do to neutralize it since I have taken too much acid for one month now non stop. Do I start taking only lime and soda and for how long do I have to take it before the fibroid would shrink. Pls tell me exactly how to take the remedy cos am stil on a high dosage of asprin and high blood pressure medication. Does vinegar and lime have side effects and what are they, and how do I use molasses. Please reply urgently. Felicia from nigeria

I have noticed that healing or the lack of it has to do with the mind and the body. Stress is the biggest detrimental obstacle to healing. First deal with the stress. Second is nutritional deficiency and third is parasites. Fourth is toxins and etc. However, if you wish to disregard this, then for fibroids, try nattokinase with turmeric and black pepper. The nattokinase is a potent fibrinolytic, dissolves the fibers which constitute the fibroids and the turmeric lessens the inflammation. The black pepper makes everything extra bioavailable.
