Apple Cider Vinegar, Blackstrap Molasses

Heel Spurs: Extreme pain in my heels started suddenly and I didn't know what was happening. My boss said that she had had them and had been given very, very painful cortisone injections. She said this may help for 5 years. I hate needles, so remembering that castor oil was very good for many things, massaged it into my feet along with Vicks vapo rub or any similar product and within 2 weeks, no more pain. I then was able to go overseas and walk 5 miles and no pain except I had a huge water pouch on the bottom of my feet when I returned. Rested feet 2 days, water reabsorbed into body and have had no reoccurance for 10 years.
Also, just came home from Thailand with aching, dragging leg and sore knees. I read the blogs on black strap molasses and ACV and have been taking daily and muscle ache in leg has gone, knees much better, so am a happy camper. Just have to try not to overdo my walking and climbing steep steps at 75 years of age. Also used the castor oil and Vicks massage on knees. Don't know why this worked, but no harm in trying it to get relief.

You need to take the turmeric for about a month before you see any improvement. It took me 3 months to get all the effects of the herb. I would suggest it to everyone it is so better than taking drugs that the doctors want you to take. Do research on the internet there are more herbs out there that can help with whatever you may have. ACV is also another one I take 2 times daily.

Update on my knee pain. Now that I've been doing the leg stretches for 3 days (I've done them every 3-5 hours during the day), the knee pain (plus leg muscle pain) is 100% gone. I'm assuming that it would return if I stop the leg bend/stretches, so I'll continue to do them, just not as often.

One year ago I had problems with my knees (bending and stooping they felt like they were going to give out on me). I started taking turmeric and now I can bend and stoop with no problems. I take turmeric capsules, usually once a day, and also mix a little (1/4 teaspoon or so) in tomato juice. Still trying to find more ways to work it into my diet.

The ACV remedy using 1/2tsp of Baking Soda, 2 tbsp of ACV (_____s) and 4 oz of water does a great job of relieving the acid reflux I was suffering from. At first I was a little skeptical but it works...and works quickly. Additionally, when I can't use it, a Granny Smith apple helps relieve it but not as good. I was on Protonix for almost a year prior to trying ACV, this is a much better solution. I have recommended the site and remedy to many others. Side effect or coincidence? I noticed about 2 weeks after taking ACV that the pain I have had in my knees (had about 2yrs) was also relieved. I had been suffering with pain in my knees every evening to the point I had put a 'neck' pillow under them to help relieve it by slightly bending them...not any longer!:) Thanks Ted!!!
Eliminate Aspartame and Artificial Sweeteners

For about the last ten years I have had a pinched nerve in my neck. I am 40 and very active (yoga, lift weights, run, etc) It flared up on occasion when I would work out hard and I would injure my shoulder or neck, putting additional pressure on the nerve. About 18 months ago the pain got so severe that I was seriously considering surgery which would have fused some discs in my neck together (among other things). A business associate had mentioned that he had problems with his knees hurting when he drank diet coke, which i drank. As a last resort I quit drinking diet coke and about 4 weeks later the pain in my neck was down to manageable levels again. This lasted about until recently when it flared up again, I had recently started taking a new weightlifting supplement (powder) and upon closer inspection it contained aspartame. I talked to my doctor who had not heard anything about his particular side effect of aspartame, but we theorized that the additive caused small swelling to muscles which impinged my already narrow nerve openings. needles to say, I have cut aspartame back out of my diet.

I was having pain in my elbows and a friend told my about ACV, at first I did not think it would work. One night, I woke up about 2:30 am in pain, I said, let me try this stuff.About 15 to 20 minutes after trying ACV the pain went away. To make a long story short, it works and I have be 2 to 3 times a day from that point on.
MSM
Posted by Teak (USA) on 01/09/2024
I would guess that it is the MSM, and not the vitamin C. The reason being, is that people have taken very very high doses of C, with no side effects, except diarrhea (which is not dangerous). Vitamin C is also water soluble, so it does not build up in the body naturally. That is why people resort to IV or liposomal C, to try to get it to stay in the body longer.

Hi Anon,
Thank you so much for replying to my post so quickly. I found your suggestions interesting and intriguing, so much so that I researched the Bio Electro Magnetic Energy machine (Bemer) on line, and found it was very expensive. In your father's case it is working very well, and if it could be guaranteed to do the same for me then I might be tempted to invest in one, but I daren't risk spending all that money and not have good results. And if I were to use one it would have to be simple to set up and use. I also researched whether there were any therapists in my area who use the machine and I could have one or two sessions with them just to try it out. But there was only one I could find and they were at the other end of the country!
Regarding the five simple Tibetan exercises. I remember doing these when I was in my fifties, and thought them very effective. Bruce Forsythe, the TV personality, promoted them as a means of staying young, and they worked for him because he always appeared to have colossal energy. However, bearing in mind that I'm eighty, I don't think I would be able to manage some of the positions. Nowadays once I'm on the floor I have trouble getting up again! Grrr … I hate old age! I do take Serrapeptase, along with other vitamins, and sometimes have periods when I eat natto beans.
Once again, Anon, thank you once again for taking the trouble to write. I really do appreciate it. And if you think of anything else that might help I will be pleased to hear what you have to say.

An easy first try would be Apple Cider Vinegar rubbed into the knee several times a day, or wrap your knee with a cloth soaked in it over night. (Then wrap it with plastic wrap.) Castor oil, topically is also good for pain. It makes me think, "Bone Spur. " I would look up bone spur remedies on this website, too.

Prolozone Therapy
Posted by Robert Henry (Ten Mile , Tn Usa) on 02/24/2013
HI U GOOD FOLKS DOIN, , , , , , , ,
Well, at 76 things are getting about as interesting as I can stand. Now it's my dang right knee. When I was doing Ozone for my cancer, the nearest place is Atlanta where I was scheduled for a procedure called, MAH. They pull out a pint of blood and ozonate it and drip it back into your vein. With my cancer gone I don't need that. Instead, I will see if they will do a procedure called Prolozone. Here they shoot your knee with vitamins and minerals followed by a shot of Ozone. Last week the Orthopedic Surgeron's opinion is that my knee is not close to replacement and the only thing he could do for me was a cortisone shot which the last time gave me relief of two weeks. The Prolozone procedure supposedly will allow your cartlidge to grow back over time, but in any case it will give you pain relief for many months or years. Only 14 states allow MD's to utilize Ozone. It is too cheap and too effective.
The research I've done is that you get almost instant pain relief but may take several treatments to get a lasting effect. Naturally, I'll tell ATS when I can.

Arthrofibrosis of the Knee Remedies
Posted by Chiquita Banana (Pacific Nw) on 02/16/2013
I have arthrofibrosis of my left knee. I had a ski accident several years ago and the scar tissue hardened and grew to the point that I could no longer bend my knee. I had to have surgery along with a manipulation to fix it. I was super, super careful with the rehibilitation after the surgery so that my body wouldn't do the same thing again - feel pain, over-respond to it by creating scar tissue to fix it. Anyhow, today, 5 years later, the pain is much better. I can walk normally and my knee is no longer painful to the touch. I drink a lot of alkaline water and take a whole foods vitamin daily. I also eat a Paleo diet. All of this has helped, along with not doing too much too soon physically. My quad is weak but I'm slowly strengthening it. I will never be able to enjoy some of the more active things that I used to enjoy, but I can walk and I'm not in pain anymore. Best of luck.

Thank you for confirming this. I recently bought a box of Gelatin and been eager to hear how it works for knee problems. I feel from my bike few yrs ago and it mess up my knee cap and I had some shots too. However due to the exercise those squats and lunges irritated it and my ligaments around my are started to ache and swell. Now the swollen is less but every time I walk up the stairs to my work it hurts even on the weeks when I don't workout. I am 27 yrs old and my highest weight was 280 pds and have lost 50pds so far. So I find this so heartbreaking because I been unable to do any lower body workouts due to my knee pain. I just hope this really helps me. I feel so old. :(

I'm taking the KNOX GELATINE in hopes that it can repair/heal my Torn Meniscus. I dont want to get surgery as my doctor prescribed and cut a piece of my cartlidge off.
So I have a couple of questions that I hope I can get some feedback on...
1) I've started taking the KNOX GELATINE as Ken (Henderson, Nv, Usa) has stated but I just mix mine in water. The problem is, it has really slowed my bowel movements up and made me constipated. Has anyone else had a problem with constipation while taking GELATINE? If so, did you find a way to fix the problem?
I've only been on it for 11 days so far. For the first 6 days I just mixed 2 packets (about 15g) in some room temperature water.
I would mix the 15g of powder with 2oz. of water and then add in another 2 oz. and drank it really fast so it didn't gel too much (I do this 2x a day).
Then for the last 5 days I've lowered the dose and now mix 5g of powder in 2 oz water and mixed it up real good( with a fork I find is best) and then added in 6oz. hot water. It comes out like a liquid with no gelling at all. (I do this 2x a day)
But the thing is, I still feel constipated. My bowels just seem sluggish.
2) Maybe a stupid question but I'll ask anyway...if I use Collagen Hydrolysate/Collagen Peptides instead of GELATIN will I get the same benefit/results?
As I mentioned earlier I'm using this to help heal my torn meniscus. Hoping it can heal and grow back my cartilage that is torn as it did for the original poster, Ken (Henderson, Nv, Usa) who used KNOX GELATIN.
I think I read that Collagen Hydrolysate is easier on the stomach. So I'm thinking maybe the Collagen Hydrolysate won't cause constipation (just a guess by me).
Thank you for any help.

Hello, I visited the website two days ago and used the ACV soaked towel remedy to help with a sore knee. The pain went away, but the swelling persisted and I ended up having to take ibuprofen anyway. I began using a knee brace the next day, and when I took it off last night I had little red bumps all over my knee. I thought the bumps were irritation caused by the brace, but this evening they have reappeared, and I have not used the brace today. Does anyone know if ACV can cause a rash as a side effect? I certainly hope not, because I would like to continue using it for other things. I tried doing some research on ACV, but my searches keep coming up without helpful information. Thanks for your help!

It is possible that ACV caused your rash. That is not necessarily a bad thing. Consider that rashes are very common during rapid detoxification. I have seen this many times. It is likely that the ACV caused rapid detox. Consider using less ACV to start, but I'd stick with it and give it some time. ACV is the 3rd most popular remedy on this site. Be sure to use Organic Apple Cider Vinegar.

Hi Tahiti - My husband had this type of knee surgery about a year ago. He is very glad he did it, and his knee is back to being useable and pain free again. It is not a very long surgery (as I recall, it was about an hour of sedation in his case). His recovery was rapid too - back to normal walking around in less than a week.
Our neighbor also had this surgery about 6 months ago, and his results were similar.
I say go for it - you will be very glad you did it if you are in daily pain and it is keeping you from doing the things that you want to do.
Best to you,
Carla

I had arthroscopic surgery on my right knee six years ago and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I waited a while to do the physical therapy I should've done sooner, so if your ortho recommends it, do it. Any small excercises they give you to do post-surgery, do those too. If you have a good surgeon, all should be well. It's an easy surgery with quick recovery. I was off crutches in a week. Follow all directions and you should be fine.
