I am 7 weeks into my 3rd pregnancy and got on here to look up remedies for my nausea. When I saw applesauce it reminded me that I used to eat a tablespoon of it everyday when I felt nauseous with my last baby! So, thanks for the reminder, now I have to go get some LOL.

Probiotics

For the past couple of days, I've been feeling really nauseous after eating. I tried ACV thinking it would help since it works for a lot of ailments, but it didn't. I knew that probiotics are really beneficial to the digestive system, so I thought why not give it a try. I took 2 capsules each time and felt relief in a matter of minutes. I was so amazed. I used the real-deal type of probiotics that you have to keep in the refrigerator (bought from the health food store).

Hi Debbie, Ginger tablets are brilliant but the secret is to take them 30 mins before boarding. I see no reason why you could not take fresh or powdered ginger. Some comercial opperators on boats offer ginger tablets on boarding. These help some but for most people it works best if taken 30 mins before you board. You can top up with them onboard. I forget the recommended intervals but you do need to take them more than just the initial dose.

Debbie, my small craft flight in had me filling the sick-bag to the brim. A week prior to my flight out, I acclimated myself with about ten minutes swinging on the children's rig daily. All went well as I first fell asleep for a good while, then I was awaken by my mates for a view of Mt McKinley and without any sickness on a Cessna 210 was very fine.

Tic Tacs help with nausea amazingly well... But only the white ones. I am guessing it is the mint in them but it works for all my friends too. I carry them around with me everywhere. I often get queasy feeling and they work very fast.

I don't know why, but for the past couple of days my stomach has just been so queazy. So this morning I decided to look up remedies. I read all the comments on this one and tried it. At first I didn't think it was going to work and then out of the blue I realized I felt fine. It really does work and I'm gonna carry these in my purse today:)

When you take a sniff of the alcohol, it numbs the nerve that controls the stomach. Remember that this is only temporary. If you have to use these more than once, you should probably go to a doctor.

I am a young college student who has been having some strange symptoms over the past week including; nausea, organ tremoring, intense fear of death, painful headache on the right side of my head, feeling like bugs crawling up and down my leg, pain on the right leg all the way from my sacrum to knees to toes, an odd rash that a doctor told me was fungal but wont go away with the topical treatments, and restlessness/anxiety especially at night. I thought maybe I had candida or toxic shock but this is not so.

I have been trying to detox for the past 3 weeks using designs for health and opticleanse ghi drinks (though innaccurately folllowed as I was having too many shakes and too many of the wrong foods -- even though they were seemingly the right ones I. E. Dates, honey, nuts, seeds). My above listed symptoms lead me to contact the nutritionist who recomended the diet and she pointed out I was really not detoxing the right way. So I've been in a nutshell researching ways to recover while fearing that in any given moment my body could go into toxic shock... fortunately this has not happened yet and I am certain it will not happen.

SO... last night I ate some of the wrong foods again (now im just eating simple foods to get off the detox -- college detoxing is somewhat difficult) but they seemingly could be the right ones; I. E. Eggplant, tomatoes, salt, raw miso. AND I ate late at night. So I woke up feeling exhausted, super nauseas, super congested in my belly, and I thought holy shit I might vomit or die.

So I grabbed 3 pellets of Arsenicum Album, a remedy I recently bought under suggestion by a homeopathist. Arsenicum Album says its for food poisoning, but its really for bad food combinations, anxiety/exhaustion, neediness in case the Arsenicum person may die or get sick (I was calling everyone who could help me, which lead me to here).

So an hour after taking this I am already feeling much better. Nausea is gone, belly still sensitive and gassy, but I feel like my body is clearing. I will be taking a second dose in an hour and a half if these remaining symptoms are still here. I will also be eating simple foods like miso soup for the rest of the day.

Baking Soda

Thank you so much! I wish I had read this two days ago. I have been battling a head cold along with puking and pooping. I have two babies, an 8 month old and a 23 month old, which were the source of my illness, and my husband is gone for a couple of weeks. I thought I had gotten too dehydrated because I wasn't being able to even sip water without having a gag reflex. I was about to send them to a babysitter and check myself into the emergency room to get an IV because I've gotten so weak and was afraid I would not be able to care for my little ones. I put 1/8 tsp of baking soda in a mug and added warm water as recommended. I felt better within five minutes as promised. I am now able to drink water with no issues. Thank you so much... I was really worried.

Iodine

I was feeling very nauseous one morning before I ate breakfast and vomiting was imminent. Tried the alcohol swabs on EC and it didn't work. So I tired 12 drops of Lugol's iodine in about and ounce of water. Within about 15 minutes, the nausea went away.

My grandma had used this remedy in her house for decades. I still use it to this day. I use a shot glass and put enough baking soda in it to cover the bottom of glass, add some room temperature water, stir, plug my nose and take my shot of baking soda. I have found it works if I ate something that didn't agree with me, but not when I had the flu. I just found out that I am pregnant so I'm sure I will find out soon if it works for morning sickness, as long as it's safe for baby. :-)

I am currently sitting in my bathroom feeling very nauseated, I came across this post and grabbed the rubbing alcohol out of my medicine cabinet. I just took a big sniff of it and felt immediate relief. I still feel a little sick but I definitely feel much better.

Mint Gum

Chewing mint gum significantly reduces my nausea. Usually the nausea is from feeling dizzy or car sickness. It doesn't completely take it away, but it keeps me from feeling worse.

This really works! I recently had surgery and was prescribed painkillers to help ease the discomfort. I've been able to get by without taking them for a week now, but last night my pain was unbearable so I decided to take half of the pill. Well, about an hour after I took it, I became incredibly nauseous. I ended up vomiting a couple times which I thought would help make me feel better because it usually does, but I still felt nauseous. So when I could finally get myself to the computer, I went to this website for a remedy. When I saw alcohol packets help, I grabbed one from my medicine cabinet, opened it up and began sniffing it. You would think that sniffing alcohol would make the nausea worse, which is to say that it didn't exactly feel good to inhale that first sniff, but after a minute or two, my queasiness subsided. I couldn't believe it. This will definitely be my go to nausea remedy from now on!

Thanks 7zeropoints for the seasickness remedy! I'm going tomorrow to buy the ginger candy and use it along with the seasickness wristband. Since we are permitted to bring our own soda on board, I'll have a stash of ginger-ale too. We will most certainly keep purell handy at all times. I appreciate the information that you've provided. It will be put to good use! Tahiti

Sea wrist bands, found at Rite-aid, CVS, etc. They are better that any drugs I've used. The principle is accupressure point.
