As a side light to this experience I have found that the burning in my stomach (gastritis) returned when I stopped the olive oil and lemon. I went back to taking it today and I'm not burning. I will see if it works tomorrow and the next day. Now I'm wondering if my stomach is not producing enough acid and the lemon juice is fixing that matter. Time will tell.
Thank you for this web site as my experience with my kidney stones was not painful. I would like to handle this gastritis with something as easy as lemon and olive oil. Right now my doctor prescribed a medication that I looked up and it does liver damage and is for gall stone relief (I don't even have my gall bladder!). Go figure!

I was diagnosed through CT scan and ultrasouncd to have a 6 mm stone in my bladder, that had been causing pain for five days. I was perscribed Demerol and Flomax and told there was nothing else to do but wait it out!!
After mixing 2 ounces of real lemon juice and 2 ounces of extra virgin olive oil, I drank that, followed by an eight ounce glass of water. I followed that over the next day with lemon drinks of 2 ounces of real lemon in 8 ounces of water.
Within 24 hours, I was able to pass the stone with no discomfort at all.

Just been reading these posts for the last couple of days and I am very happy to hear that there is a cure or remedy for kidney stone. I had an attack 2 weeks ago and it was so painful that I needed to be rushed at the ER. Found out that I have some on my right kidneys and one on my left the size 1. 5cm. I was advised that I needed to have a shock wave done, well before I do I want to try this first and I hope it really works, so far I have downed 2oz of lemon and oil. I feel something tingly on my right kidney, I just hope that the big stone can pass. I sure want to save a lot of money. I will update you guys if it works.

Kidney Stones. You might want to consider an Edgar Cayce based remedy. Grind about 1 tablespoon of fresh organic celery seeds, (if you can't get organic you can use regular supermarket seeds) in a coffee grinder...just a few short blasts to, preferably, not creat heat. Steep this in 16 oz of water. You could try this Celery Seed tea once a day. It might help.

On 4/8/09 my husband began experiencing pain on his left side, the whole family had colds,so I didn't pay much attention to him. It was severe on 4/9/09 and I told him to go to the Doctor's, but like many men would not. On 4/10/09 he was convinced he was dying, but still refused to go to the doctor...thankfully I was feeling better and started an internet search. After having him describe the pain and asking him questions, I felt pretty confident it was kidney stones. I had to practically force the mixture (2 oz of lemon juice and 2 oz EVOO, mixed in some lemonade) down him. He took the mixture at 6:00 PM, I had him drink 2 big glasses of water, 1 glass of apple juice and 1 glass of cranberry juice,by 9:00 PM he was feeling significant relief, I gave him 2 oz of lemon juice in another glass of lemonade and he went to sleep. When he woke the next morning, 4/11/09, he was not back to 100%, but he was much improved. I gave him one more 2 oz lemon juice and 2 oz EVOO, by 10:00 he was laughing and joking. He sent me on my way to go do some errands...I came home to a sparkling clean house (he never cleans)! He said, he just felt so amazing and renewed he started cleaning and kept going. During the day he continued to drink water, apple juice and cranberry juice. Today, 4/12/09, he did one more juive/EVOO to be sure, but says he feels back to normal.
He never saw a stone pass, but did say yesterday he could feel it moving, so not sure if still needs to pass or it just dissolved, but you have 2 more strong believers here...thanks so much for this site :)

To the person who had a 25mm stone in May and was going to try olive oil and lemon juice... did it work????????
I thought mine were big! I have one 8x11mm and one 7mm and several that are 3mm to 5mm. I am wondering if ones that size can possibly be dissolved? I am scheduled for lithotripsey in 6 days, and I'd love to NOT have it, and instead take care of the stones naturally.
Does anyone have any experience with stones that big being dissolved or passed naturally??? Thank you!

I didn't have lemons, so I made some, using citric acid, put about quarter teaspoon in a small glass, with warm to hot water when nearly full, (holds about half can of coke) then for taste put about a tablespoon of Apple cider vinegar and honey, its easy to get from most supermarkets or health places.
I also decided to include the olive oil, first only a spoon full to see if I was ready to vomit, but nothing so I drank more, then sipped on the tonic I had made.
Then just sat in front of the internet reading the testimonials from this site, and beginning to feel good from what I was reading and the thngs people were saying, in fact I found the time going quickly, I was also in the most excruciating pain while doing this, because the medication I was using wasn't working now.
After the first hour of drinking this concoction I had no appetite at all, I think I had near ten to 15 glasses, taking small sips very slowly letting it digest in the stomach.
four hours later I was still feeling the sharp pains associated with this demon. I was disappointed because nothing had happened and still feeling that wretched pain.
But amazingly after this my urine changed color from a dark yellow to almost white clear, so in all I went to the rest room about two dozen times, this went on for nearly half the day till night fall, finally after checking again in a container I found some little tiny dots at the bottom like white bits, I thought, the thing is finally gone, and within an hour or so the pain did leave as well, maybe after such a battering the kidney was just trying to heal itself, there was no stone but some cloudy residue.
If anyone has a similar type experience, they would be crazy to have it operated on. And not try a home remedy first.
I'm still waiting for the appointment, from the Hospital, so they can tell me its gone.
CHEERS to a useful site, I am definitely a Believer Now
EC: Thank you for your feedback, Stan! Just to clarify -- did you use citric acid in place of lemons?

In reply to your question, (yes I used citric acid instead of lemons), because driving to a supermarket in this condition would have been very dangerous, might have crashed or passed out. However I was lucky enough to have a small 500ml bottle of Apple cider Vinegar and Honey bought about three weeks ago.
Still pain free and Stone free..... Many thanks
EC: Thank you for clarifying!

In the morning he said he had urinated many times during the night and eventually the urine felt gritty and sandy. After that he felt much better. When he got up in the morning he felt GREAT! In fact he said he felt better than he had for a long time, so maybe the stone had been working on him for a while before the pain started. Of course we can't say with certainty that this remedy was the answer, but we can say that we will be trying it in the future, if it happens again. If so, we'll be sure to let everyone know. In any case, we are so greatful to the internet and to all of you who have taken the time to validate or dispute remedies you have tried. I don't know who in the heck ever thought up such a concoction, but we thank you so much!
