The lemom juice/olive oil remedy didn't work even for me...I took 2 oz of each about 6-7 times and 3 oz each 2 times (this had made me feel sick all day and that taste lingered in me all day). My 4.8 mm stone is stuck right in my kidney. It could be that my stone is not calcium oxalate as this remedy didn't work for me. Is there any other successful remedy for other kind of stones? Has anyone tried the Chinese remedy of frying walnuts in olive oil, grinding it coarsely and the mixing with honey to a smooth paste and eating it. I read somewhere (not on this website) that this is a successful chinese remedy for dissolving and removal of kidney stone, but I have not yet tried it as walnuts are oxalate food and I have read widely it is not good for kidneys. If anyone has tried it and has had success (or failure or side effects) I would like to know the results.

If the lemon juice and olive oil doesn't work, it most likely means you have a kidney stone that's not Calcium Oxalate (~80% of all kidney stones).

I have been suffering from ureteric stones for last 20 years. I had to undergo open surgery in 1995, since dormia basketing failed to 'grab' the stone during the procedure (left ureter). In 2006, I again suffered from uretric stone (left ureter), which, however, passed out by itself after some pain. In November 2008, I underwent dormia basketing again, to extract a 9 mm stone from my right ureter. Just as I am recovering now (December 2008), I am feeling some pain in my left flank. I am afraid of undergoing another hospitalization. I am contemplating the olive oil lemon juice self medication. What does oz stand for? Ounce? Can somebody please give me the exact composition of the concoction in ml? How much ml of lemon juice and how much ml of olive oil? Should the dose be repeated or taken once? Empty stomach? When should it be taken? Please do give details. All help will be highly appreciated. My stone extracted in November 2008 was analysed as mixed calcium oxalate + urate composition. Please help.

Olive oil and lemon juice mix. I read this board several times and have decided to try it. A few years ago, I was in a car accident and had some pretty nasty lower back pains. While I don't think the two we're related...the x-rays showed I had a pretty good sized stone(I think it was 8mm) I had lithotripsy done and never really felt 100%. On and off through the years... I'd get pain. Earlier this year, I could not believe the pain I had. I left my job and drove myself to the E.R. Sure enough, I had blood in my urine and a stone was trying to pass. Hard to believe in three years time a 7mm stone re-formed. Needless to say, in the following days, I drank water and even tried cranberry juice like mad. A few days went by(The Dr prescribed flo-max and I stayed home for a few days) and sure enough, I passed a stone while on the job pain free. It's now December and I've had a few pain free passings of these little buggers. Up until this morning. I think one is trying to get out, so I re-freshed this board, mixed up some olive oil and lemon juice (God that stuff tastes awful!) and downed it. Followed by three glasses of water. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it passes pain free. Thanks for sharing the info on this site!

Kideny stones/kidney debris.
The lemon juice (2 oz), olive oil (2 Tbsp,) and Stone Free from Planetary Herbals, Michael Tierra (5 the first 3 days, 4 times a day; now 3 tablets 3 times a day with the lemon juice and oil) has changed my life. The back pain I had put off to my scoliosis, and the groin pain from sitting for college classes, however, when they both came on together and persisted for 6 weeks my daily life became really overwhelming. I got relief from both within 36 hours from the above combination. Now, 2 weeks later I get twinges in my back and groin but water keeps the above combination keeps pain from returning. However, in continuing with the lemon juice, olive oil, Stone free, physical activity and hot baths I realize had this condition for a long time. I think I have had blockage in my bladder (the groin pain) from having a seven year bout with food poisoning and just plain lowered functioning kidneys from my scoliosis. These last two weeks have removed the acute pain and although I still have a dull ache especially in the morning, I am going to keep this in my daily/weekly regime. I am sleeping better and am way more relaxed. Thank you for your web site as I had spent several hundred dollars with X-rays (that showed nothing), body work, PT, and even seeing an orthopedic surgeon. I love natural healing.

I have had kidney stones 2 times before, and when i started feeling the symptoms again, I knew I was in for it. To cut a long story short, after being hospitalized and having a CT scan, they found a 2mm stone. Doctors said that it will pass naturally and theres nothing natural or medical that they can do. So I went home in great discomfort with a prescription for pain relief and went searching for natural remedies on the net and came across the olive oil and lemon treatment (about 3oz of each). I was a bit skeptical, but I mixed the two ingredients, swallowed it followedd by a large glass of purified water and within 4 hours,I passed the stone through painlessly (although I couldnt see it in the toilet bowl, I knew it had passed), and my aches and pains have gone (although I seem to be sleeping alot). My stools are a little soft, but I took another dose this morning just to be sure theres nothing left in my kidneys, and will probably take it every 6 months or so, just to keep on top of it. Cant believe Doctors cant recommend this treatment. Thank you.

I have no experience with Kidney pain except for the last four weeks. I have had pain in my middle left back for weeks and was growing very concerned. In surfing the web, I found this sight and read about the Olive Oil and Lemon Juice remeday. Bottom line, my pain is GONE. I took two ounces of fresh lemon juice and two ounces of raw olive oil twice a day. One in the AM and one in the PM. Day one I feld absolutely no relief. Day two, no realief what so ever. Day three, I woke up and was very amazed that I had no pain. I drank my "cocktail" and got on with my day. No pain all day. WOW. So here I am in day four feeling great with no pain at all. I so very happy I found this sight and I have very little doubt that this remeday worked for me.

Sangeetha, it might be that the olive oil is too laxative for you and also some people can't digest oils very well. When my brother gets kidney stones he just mixes lemon juice with water and drinks that on and off during the day. Like lemonade but without the sweetener. He might have a little bit of olive oil on a salad, but that's it. He also drinks lots of plain water throughout the day. Every time he gets a kidney stone he does this and they always pass. Hope this helps you.

Before I heard of the olive oil and lemon remedy for removing kidney stones I used marshmellow root and magnesium supplements to help the kidney stones pass. The magnesium I was told help the muscles and tissues relax and the marshmellow root provided a slippery surface for the stones to pass. It had always worked for me. I usually took 4 marshmellow roots and 2 magnesium tablets several times a day until I passed the stones. Beware that the magnesium supplements can give you diareahea. I could live with this instead of the pain from stones. But don't try this without consulting a healthcare prosseional as Ted reminds us one shoe does not fit all. If I were to get kidney stones again I would try the supplements I mentioned and the olive oil and lemon drink. But again consult you healthcare professional. Hope you feel better.

I just went through my 4th bout of kidney stones in 30 years. I went into the emergency room one week ago where they CT scanned a 4mm stone. After the usual morphine and begging to go home since I knew they couldn't do much for me there other than load me up with morphine for the pain, I was released. 6 days and no stone. 3 more days until surgery is scheduled to pull it out. My wife ran across this site and immediately ran out and got fresh lemons and olive oil. She made me the shooter of 2 oz. of each mixed together and I chased it with water. At 11:30 the following morning I passed the stone. A mere 16 hours after trying the remedy. After 6 days of usual fluid loading, all it took was this remedy. I am an old pro at kidney stones, but this one taught me something new. Thanx for the remedy and I would highly suggest it to anyone suffering the agony of kidney stones. The taste of this is nothing compared to the pain.

Since 2001 I have had three surgeries for removal of kidney stones to large to pass. Two years ago, I stumbled across this web site and tried the Lemon Juice & Olive Oil remedy. I still get some stones almost every other month, but with this remedy I pass them without any pain or discomfort. At the first of each month I drink the four ounces of mixture four times a day for three days. This routine, for me, flushes all the stones out. This past month I passed two stones each almost 2.3 mm. with absolutely no pain or discomfort.

Hi: This is following my post of yesterday. I took the lemon & olive olil (2 oz each)remady on the mornings and nights of laast Saturday and Sunday, and on Monday morning. I still feel the discomfort of the stone, my appetite is reduced and I have loose bowel movement and have to go often. Today (Tuesday) morning I took 3 oz of each in the hope that it will help me, as my stubborn stone is stuck right in the kidney for the past 8+ months. This quantity was huge and I almost felt like throwing up for the next few hours. I didn't throw up, though. I felt so full, I couldn't eat my breakfast, had a loose bowel and forced myself to eat lunch. I have started feeling the discomfort again. I am not sure if I will be abel to do this remedy again soon as my body doesn't seem to go very well with it. I may try it after a few days. But in the mean time, can anyone tell me what is the fennel seed remedy for removal (or dissolving) of kidney stone. One person from India had mentioned this remedy worked for him. I might try the ACV remedy next week or so, after my body come back to normal.
Has anyone had a kidney stone stuck in their kidney for months and got rid of it with natural remedies. If so, can you please share the remedy with me. This is my first stone (and hopefully the last) so I don't know what kind of stone this is. Seems like it is something the lemon and olive oil aren't able to dissolve or move!!!
Thanks for reading and sharing your remedies with me.

I felt pain on the right side sometime in April 2008. Since neither I nor anyone in my family ever had a kidney stone, I didn't know why the pain was. I thought I had pulled a muscle and so went for physiotherapy. After several sessions of physio, the pain didn't go away, so then the physiotherapist suggested I do an abdomen ultrasound. I didn't take that seriously as I thought it was only a muscle pull and will go away, but as it dind't go away till end of May 08, I went for abdomen ultrasound and found a 5 mm stone stuck in my kidney. As the pain was bearable, the doctor told me to just drink lots of water. I have been patiently doing it until now (Dec 08). As I was still feeling a little discomfort on the right side almost all the time, I went for another ultrasound (I didn't agree to go for CT scan) and found the stone was still there, around 4.8 mm (the ultrasound was done at 2 difernet place, so may be .2 mm loss). The doctor advised me just plenty of water again.
I surfed the net and came across lemon and olive oil remedy on your website. I started if 3 days ago, on Saturday. Since then until this morning (Monday) I have taken 5 doses of 2 oz lemon juice and 2 oz olive oil mixed together. For the first dose, I didn't have fresh lemons at home and so used 1 oz of bottled juice from concentrate with 2 oz olive oil. That made me have loose motion. Since then I have had fresh lemon juice with olive oil. After the first shot the discomfort was gone. But the next day its back and even now its there. Even today with fresh lemon too, I have passed motion several times and am feelling very weak. Also I have lost appetite. I am wondering if it is alright to continue taking this mixture for 2-3 more days (in the hope that it will come out) or is it too much work on my kidneys and body to digest it. I am a small/medium woman (120 lb), does that need any change in the quantiies?
Any other alteration required for this shot, eg. drink more often or just once in the morning and once in the night is enough?
I do not know what kind of stone I have. Just hoping this will help me. Please let me know if it is ok to use this remedy for a few more days. I am a single mother of 6 yr old daughter, so don't want to be in bed due to this shot as then there is no one to take care of my daughter.
Thank you.

I have had kidney stones for 15 years, a bad episode every 2 to 5 years. I was delighted to find this web site and immediately took both vinegar and lemon juice and olive oil in 2 oz portions. I took more lemon juice and olive oil subsequently, today I passed a stone, very little discomfort. I am angry at the mainstream medical profession that seems unwilling to toss out some of these safe, inexpensive and effective treatments.

About 2 weeks ago I went to the bathroom and I urinated red. To me that is a sign of kidney stone. I have had stones come out before and that si the first warning. I did not know what to do. I started drinkin a lot of water and said to myself that I would let it come out just like the other times. On the other times I flushed out t he stone but if hurted me because it had spikes on it, and I suffered for some days after.
I did some research and I found out the remedy of OLIVE OIL and LEMON JUICE. I wanted to try since many here said it worked for them. I have Calcium concentrated stones.
I took 4 tablespoons of Olive oil and a fresh full squized lemon, ones in the morning and ones at night. Everytime I took it after a while the pain would be gone. 2 days ago, I took the last shot of the "cocktail" followed by distiled water and waited.
In the morning of saturday 11/22/2008 I felt like my blader was about to explode. I went to the washroom and urinated a whole lot....not paying any attention to anything....When I focused on the bottom of the boul, I saw it....there is was..my worst enemy...The stone had some out and was the sice of a rice grain. How come i did not feel it? WOW....I tried to pick it up so I could see it and I could not..Everytime I went to grab it it would desolve.
This was the first time I had a stone come out without even feeling it, or feeling any pain.
THANK YOU FOR THIS REMEDY, BECAUSE IS AWSOME. GOD BLESS you and if I see any signes of stones again, this will be my cure from now on....
THANK YOU FROM THE HEART.

When you feel like the stone is in your penis it actually is not! It is at the entrance of the bladder. Here it occasionally creates sharp pain, especially when your colon or rectum fills. Remember Porthos in The Three Musketeers - "Kidney stones. It hurts when I piss. It hurts when I sh*t". And you also might experience constant urge to urinate. It can be here for several days. I even had one at that particular spot for a whole month because it was the first and my doctor didn't diagnose it well and didn't tell me that I had to drink a lot of water to pass the possible stone. In the past I had several stones, the largest of them was about 7 mm. In all cases the entrance into the bladder was always the hardest place to pass it for me (I guess it is the narrowest). I usually feel immediate relief when the stone goes into the bladder. Moreover then I also know that there is only one step for it before I will get rid of it. For all bigger stones (3 mm and larger) that finally went into the bladder I had to relieve my bladder at least twice to get them through the penis. At the first relieve it would usually got stuck somewhere (perhaps because of the prostate) and from that moment you cannot sit anymore because you will feel sharp pain if you try. So I walk and wait for bladder to fill up and then on the second relieve the stone finally goes all the way through the penis. Yeah, this is definitely sharp pain, and once you felt that then you can compare and unmistakably know when it is in the penis and when it is only at the bladder entrance trying to get in. Until now I usually would drink 3-5 liters of rose hip tea daily, especially when the stone is at the bladder entrance. In my opinion rose hip is also great for reducing the urinal infection which almost always accompanies the stones. However, at the moment I have one particularly difficult stone stuck at the entrance of the bladder for last 4 or 5 days so I decided to try the olive oil lemon juice remedy. Hopefully it will help it to get into the bladder. Or even better dissolve, as many of people have said here...

I didn't even know I had a stone until they found a urinary tract infection. I was surprised, I had no clue. The CT showed two small stones that I can't seem to dislodgein the bottom of my right kidney. They appear to be about 2mm each. My urologist suggested laying head down on the stairs with a viabrator on my back and lots of lemon water. After several weeks of flushing my system and a sore back from the viabrator, nothing. I'm supposed to go back tomorrow. If they are still there, he wants to do the lithotripsy and even though I have insurance, I'm not looking forward to that. I will call first thing and postpone my appointment and try your Vinagar treatment and the oliveoil and lemon juice routine. Any suggestions on getting those little suckers out of the bottom of my kidney. I like the disolving theory, but the doctor said nothing disolves them and I read almost all of the 158 yea posts and most, if not all of them were people in pain, Stones in the Ureter. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Last Friday around 3 PM I got a sharp pain in my side that rapidly got worse and worse. I tried going to the bathroom, sitting in a hot bath, sleeping it off, but nothing worked. I came downstairs and my wife said I was white as a ghost and that we should go to the ER. They diagnosed it as a kidney stone, gave me some pain pills, and sent me home. For the next three days, the pain stayed in the exact same spot, and I was worried and had no answers as to what to do. My wife found this website with this lemon juice and olive oil remedy. I took my first serving (2 oz lemon juice, 2 oz olive oil) followed by a glass of water this morning. A few hours later, the sharp pains returned but this time felt like they were in a different spot. I took a pain pill, went to bed, woke up and the pain had gone away. Later that afternoon, I had my second dose of lemon juice and olive oil. About an hour later, I felt a bit nauseous and had some pain in my groin area. I went to the bathroom, and to my amazement, peed out a BB sized kidney stone, with no pain. I've never felt the pain of a kidney stone before and I hope to never feel it again. I know the stone may have been ready to come out on its own, but I really feel like it was this remedy that made it happen so quickly and painlessly. The stone hadn't budged for days, until the day I started taking the lemon juice and olive oil. Thanks so much to whoever discovered this, because it worked awesomely.
