I have to say that I have always regarded any kind of home cure mumbo jumbo as garbage. But 12 hours into crying and throwing up trying to pass a stone opens ones mind to trying about anything. I did the lemon juice and olive oil and it worked 2oz of each. tasted nasty but did the job. I was amazed. This was my 13th round with stones and i wished id of found it sooner. This stone was 5mm.

I have been a chronic stone sufferer since I was 19 years old. I am now 31. This latest episode sent me to the ER which of course was pointless because they couldn't see anything on the CT scan and they promptly start treating you like you have a back sprain and you are just in there for the pain meds. ANYWAYS, this time I wanted to try something natural, and I tried the lemon juice/olive oil thing. 2 oz of each twice a day. This is my 3rd day, and my pain is sporadic at best now - definately less intense, and my urine stream is back to normal. I am going to continue drinking it for a couple of more days, but if it doesn't rid you of the stone, it sure makes you feel a whole lot better. I highly recommend this method, for at the very minimum - pain relief so you can function.

My aunt told me to check out this site for the kidney stone recipe. After 3 months of battling a stuck kidney stone, the urologist decided to do a lithoscopy. About a week before the procedure I drank the 3oz lemon juice/3 oz olive oil mixture- 2 days in a row. The second day I felt some cramping and had some bloody urine, but did not feel the kidney stone pass. I continued to drink fresh lemon juice for a few days. I went to have the procedure a few days later and the Dr did not do the lithoscopy as there did not appear to be a kidney stone. He scoped up into the kidney and injected dye- NO kidney stone. I wish I had done this sooner. I am convinced it really works!!! Thank you!

I was out of town in January and initially thoght I had a UTI due to the blood in my urine. But by the second sleepless night and increased pain in my lower back I realized I had a kidney stone. I'm not one for western medicine doctors since I learned through Wellness/Anti-Aging/Naturopathic practitioners how to get myself off of three blood pressure meds and glucophage (diabetes), I turned to the interent to solve my dilemna. The Kidney Stone Cocktail, 3 oz of olive oil & 3 oz of lemone juice worked after taking it twice within six hours, stone moved within two hours of taking the first cocktail but I took the second cocktail just for good measure. I passed three stones a week later. The Kidney Stone Cocktail chased with a large glass of water definitely works. Many thanks!

2 oz Olive Oil, 2 Oz of Lemon Juice:
I read about the above and decided at 2:00 am. I had nothing to loose. I mixed the two ingredients, drank it and followed with a large glass of water. I also added 24oz of Diet Caffeine free Coke. Read some more stuff and finally went to bed at 4:00 am. I decided I would go to to the emergency room at 5:00 if nothing changed. I fell asleep and woke up at 6:00 with the pain almost gone. By 8:00am the pain was gone. I will try a couple more doses today and hope I'm cured. Thanks.

Husband collapsed working on property roof--back pain, right away we found your equal parts lemon juice + olive oil with water-chaser. His pain was immobilizing, he was panicking. I squeezed 1 lemon got 2oz juice, blended in 2oz olive oil with egg-whisk. Took maybe 10 stirs, just like making salad dressing. He downed it while our young son and I cheered him thru. Pain so bad, we decided to go to Emerg Rm. But, drank another lemon/oil/water before leaving. ER's CT Scan showed 2mm stone. He drove home 3 hours later, took another lemon/oil/water. Wow! ER pain pills were little help, but he drank mixture 2 more times, each drink one on return home from ER, last before bed, were 1 to 2 oz lemon with matching olive oil, followed by large glass water. Next day his appetite was near 0. So morning drink again, 4 hours later drank again. He stayed home from work, and with each pain-free elimination, felt better. On 3rd day (ER day, next day, now 3rd day), he drank morning + lunch drink with medium appetite, now adding 1 tsp honey with both drinks. In bathroom, despite pain worries, no pain, no clumps, just greyish fluid when using bathroom - _no pain_ ever with any bathroom uses. At day 5, was again eliminating pain-free, with some fine gritty/dusty specks in bowl. How could that be pain free? Hooray! Dr follow up exam was 3rd day, we told him and another doctor. Both said keep it up. My dr never heard of it, so he is a new believer. So many people have appreciated this info from us, from you. We KNOW you prevented a surgery!

WOW! I used 3 oz of fresh lemon and 3 oz of EVOO and followed it with a quick 12 oz of water every hour. In 20 minutes the pain subsided. In 2 hours I could feel the stone moving down through my side without pain. Very strange feeling but not at all painful. Then in a total of 3 and a half hours total, I felt a strong urge to go and two huge stones came out one after the other. Also, I must have had a lot of fluid because I really kept going. Then I puked a couple of times from all that stuff but it was well worth it. I lost 4.5 pounds of fluid in those few hours. It is not the best thing to drink but when you guzzle it down it goes much better. I will never try anything else ever again and I tried everything. The doctor told me my stones were too big to pass, but either mine broke in two (there were lots of small particles as well) or I passed two or more. My stones were calcium.

I have had a kidney stone for about a month. (confirmed by X-ray) I mixed 2 oz of lemon juice with 2 oz olive oil. Whipped together, it didn't taste too bad at all. I repeated dose again in 24 hours. It's been 15 hours since my last dose, and the stone is still with me. I'm going to try tea brewed from a plant called Chamberbitter.

The lemon juice and olive oil did not cure me. I am desperate, I have a rather large Kidney stone in my left Kidney and I have already gone through one Lithotripsy and the Urologist says I should have another. NO WAY!! I am trying the natural remedies now but nothing seems to dissolve that stone! I am almost to the end of the wait and see period I go back on 16 May 2006 I would love to should him that there are other ways. HELP! I have some vascular concerns that I was born with that I am very worried about with another Lithostripsy, I also cannot afford to pay huge amounts of money to find an alternative way to dissolve this stone.

The olive oil and lemon juice didn't work at all. I was really hoping with all my heart it would work. I drank the vile liquid and nothing changed. A KUB showed my stone was still in the same place, (right above the bladder) as it was before. I go in in 2 days to have it surgically removed. I'm tired of playing around with this stone.

When in pain, people will have a go at just about any remedy to eliminate it. A lthough the idea of taking 2 oz of olive oil and equivalent of freshly squeezed lemon juice didn't appeal to me but after reading the positive responses it sounded like the fix I was after. I presently have a 6 mm kidney stone blocking one ureter which has been well and truly stuck for 2 weeks. I have had them before but the last was in the early 1980s. Living in the tropics (and the southern hemisphere) the onset of each tropical summer usually results in dehydration and an increase in the reporting of kidney stones. I'm a casualty. After each kidney stone attack the stone is only moving fractions of a inch and causing significant bleeding with the result that for half a day afterwards my urine is practically pure blood and then blood clots. Not sure how serious this is, as a nose bleed can look pretty horrendous with blood loss and it is certainly not too much to worry about. CAT scans and x-rays have shown that the stone is hardly moving at all and the next step will be some sort of intervention to eliminate it. As a last hope of avoiding this I have been searching for remedies. I took the mixture of olive oil and lemon juice for 3 nights in a row right before going to bed. Although feeling extreme nausea I managed to keep the concoction down through the night. By the fourth morning I had had enough. I didn't appear to do anything. I didn't really understand how this remedy was going to work giving that it was likely to acidify the bodily fluids and make things worst. The use of olive oil also escapes me, certainly wouldn't act as a lubricant at the level of the urinary tract. As other comments have noted, although there are different chemical composition of kidney stones, the previous ones I had were calcium based and the best approach for these is to alkalize ones bodily fluids, not acidify them. So I am onto sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) at a dose of 3.5 g, dissolved in a glass of water, three times a day. I haven't had an attach for 3 days now and the urine is very cloudy, which I suppose could indicate that stones might be dissolving. The jury is still out.
