Thank you, thank you, thank you... Everyone of you... For the information you so gladly post on this site!!! I am new to the entire field of "kidney stones" and must say I do not like them one bit! A few days ago, I noticed slight pain around my lower back on the left side. It wasn't too bad but noticeble to be irritating. I didn't give much thought to it and after approx. 15 min. or so, it went away. I noticed it again a few hours later but the mild pain went away again.

At about 4:30am, I woke to use the bathroom and noticed the pain had come back but increased a little. After stretching, rubbing, and massaging, it seemed to still linger over the next 1/2 hr or so but slightly built up as the minutes ticked by. By 6am I was rocking on all fours on the floor, then to the bed, then back to the floor just trying to ease the pain a little. I could no longer take it and decided to have my wife take me to the ER. There, I was diagnosed with having "the stones". I recall having the desire to punch my physician in the throat for "thumping" my kidney with a fist in order to determine my response and confirm the symtoms of having kidney stones. From the squirming I was doing and the combination of noises I was making and the expressions on my face, I felt the thumping was not necessary. I always had this suspicion that doctors do things intentionally to laugh and joke about later... Anyway, I was more than upset to say the least.

My nurse had given me 3 doses of Morphine to decrease the torture I was going thru but to no avail. I was twisting back and forth in agony and could only moan in my pillow for some semblance of relief. I was finally given an IV Drip of Dolobid (10 times stronger than Vicoden I'm told) and a button to push every 10 min. in order to release and self administer another dose. I was woozy and light headed but delusionally happy and could now endure the excrutiating pain which seemed to slowly drift away until I felt almost nothing.

I have a high tolerance for pain and have had some terrible experiences with "what I thought" was painful but this pain not just took the cake... It blew the cake into pieces...! I was admitted and remained for 2 1/2 days until I could deal with a tolerable degree of pain while on pain meds at home while waiting for these nasty buggers to pass. I talked to one of the male nurses in order to mentally prepare myself for what to expect and I was glad to learn that he had dealt with stones before. Taking the opportunity to learn from an "experienced stone sufferer", I thought to ask questions about what to expect. I was told that there was no pain quite like it. He told me about one patient who didn't know they had stones until they went to pee in an alley behind a bar one day, and while passing a stone, he felt like digging his hands into the bricks and picking the building up and slamming into the ground until it was out..... That's when I decided to go online to seek out help on how to pass them "smoothly" and avoid ripping my toilet from the floor in the process. I had been diagnosed as having 3 stones in my left kidney with one of them recently breaking off and preparing to make its way out.

I now thank God for you guys... I first learned about drinking a glass of fresh lemon juice, followed by a glass of water and 1oz of lemon juice each hr for the next 12 hrs. I did this and a small stone the size of a pin head came out a few hours later.. And with no pain. I was amazed at how this tiny little thing could cause so much irritation and agony just a few hours earlier. I then experienced a stone getting lodged about 2 inches inside my penis a few days later. It felt like I was "peeing" a glass shard.

I went back online and found the lemon and olive oil combination. Almost immediately after drinking it, the pain subsided and became bearable. It doesn't hurt to pee but it does hurt like a monkey when brushed up against anything. I am wondering if the olive oil will make this stone, which seems to have a jagged edge, smoother to expel even though it is caught in the shaft. I am anxious to write back to notify you all of the outcome. Until then, do take care and happy expelling...

I DID IT!! What a relief I feel. I did 1t of Epsom salt with 1/2 cup of water, two hours later 2 t Epsom salt with 1/2 cup of water, two hours later 3/4 cup of olive oil with 1/2 cup of lemon juice laid on right side for 30 minutes, they went to sleep. Next day still fasted, (actually started my fast at noon the previous day) but drank not to dehydrate. At around noon I released about 50 floaters, they disolved, they I keep my sample for my peace of mind to look and they were about 200 hard stones!! The press on my right side is gone and I feel so much better. Going to do it again this Friday just to make sure I am clean till next year. My CT scan show layers of stones and they advised to remove the gallbladder. I also drink the apple cider vinegar so I am praying that disolves the cyst on my ovary! Praise GOD for people that want to help us save our organs that God gave to us!! Hope this helps you.

Yea
1/21/02 Kidney Stone Attack #2

My first kidney stone was in 5/97. I went to the ER, received medication for pain and after the pain subsided went home. About 3 days later the stone passed with no further problems.

My second Kidney stone was in 1/02 and about 18 hours after the pain began passed a dark brown irregular calculus measuring about 3x2mm.

My third kidney stone incident began on 1/4/10 with the familiar discomfort in my groin and lower back. I was driven home and took some leftover pain med.

Three days later, I finally got to the doctors. I didn't take any pain med and the pain began while in the waiting room and intensified while I waited in the exam room for the PA, ceasing a few minutes before she entered. She sent me to nearby hospital for a CT scan. Their report confirmed a 5mm stone at the opening where the urethra empties into the bladder, a common bottleneck for stones. The Urologist, who was able to see me right away, explained that 5mm is about the limit for stones to pass without assistance and there were two procedures available, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy and ureteroscopy, where they insert a fiber optic probe through the urethra and break up and grab the stone in a basket. He said that the stone's position made the blasting not a good percentage option. I decided to give it about a week and set a followup for the next Wednesday. He gave me some Flomax and a strainer and told me to drink a lot of water.

The next few days the pain came and went. Monday, I called the Urologist to set up the operation as soon as possible. It turned out that I needed clearance and some additional tests. The earliest the procedure could be scheduled was Thursday, Jan 14. When I got home, I jogged & walked 2 miles in the park and jumped off of a picnic table several times, trying to dislodge the stone from where it was stuck and move it into my bladder. It might have worked because after that there was no more pain - even the back soreness disappeared.

Tuesday, back to the doctor for an EKG, more blood work, and a chest X-ray. I passed the time in the waiting room looking up kidney stones on the internet on my smart phone. I found an interesting site that promised an effective home remedy of a common drink plus a vegetable, for $40. Researching it at home later, I found it was reported as a scam and that the "secret" was 6 cans of Coke and pureed asparagus. Thankfully, I kept researching alternatives and found this web site that listed hundreds of testimonials for a simple mixture of olive oil and lemon juice.

I went to the store and bought some lemon juice - not from concentrate - in a yellow squeeze bottle. At 3:30 pm I mixed 2 oz of each in a salad cruet (how appropriate) and shook it up really well, then downed it, followed by 12 oz water. The taste wasn't as bad as some reported and other than some oily belches, there were no side effects. It might even have had a beneficial effect of loosening my bowels that were tight from the pain meds. But still no stone.

Later, I rode my horse with my wife and did a lot of sitting trot to keep working on jarring down the stone. We watched a movie until 10:30pm, at which time I made a second cocktail, about 2.5 oz each of oil and juice this time and downed it. I got up to urinate around midnight and heard a distinct clink as the stone passed and hit the bottom of the jar. I collected it with the strainer and it looked different from my previous stones, which were light brown and very jagged. This one measures about 3 x 4mm and is darker, sort of rounded. It's possible the potion partially dissolved it making it rounder and smoother - if so, that's a good thing because there was no pain or any sensation at all when it passed - nine days from the initial attack and about 9 hours after my first drink, 1 1/2 hours after the second.

I'm very grateful to the people who put up this web site. It is truly a godsend. I brought the stone to the Urologist today, to have analyzed, and, obviously, called off the procedure - saving thousands of dollars and unknown discomfort!

I'm convinced that the olive oil and lemon juice helped the stone pass, thus averting unwanted and unnecessary surgery. The urologist thought the jumping did more than the mixture, but admitted that lemon juice is helpful in preventing stones. I plan on taking the mixture periodically to help inhibit kidney stones, cause there's no way I'm going to refrain from all the foods in the big list my urologist gave me. In the future, if I experience kidney stone pain I will take the potion from the outset, combined with some serious jumping. Pain medication and flomax are also helpful.

I have dealt with kidney stones for a lot of years. It is excruciating pain. Mine tend to make me constipated and can even not not allow me to urinate. I also UTI's. Olive oil and lemon juice have saved me from going to the hospital. I would throw up if I take too much at one time so I do shot glasses. I can swig it down.

I wonder if I need to do this for maintenance so I don't create them. Also I just realized the one I have now might because I ran out of magnesium which I didn't as taking every day.

After exhausting my attempts to find a cure with all kind or remedies from allopathic to natural and not so natural supplements, numerous other modalities I resorted to Homeopathy. Trust me, I 've tried everything there is to try and can write a dissertation on many diseases from my extensive 12 years research.

I quickly realized that I need a practitioner, since my condition is chronic, with whom I have scheduled 15 min free consult via zoom, she is in the UK, and her monthly fees are reasonable.

Meantime I do what I can on my own. Dr.homeo site is very helpful and I bought at least 20 different remedies for my condition and trying them all, one by one, when I need INTERVENTION to survive another scary health related episode. I already know which remedies DO WORK for me, for homeopathy is all about finding what will work for you. As someone had said "homeopathy is like a spark for a car engine - if it starts its engine, the rest is up to your body, how to heal it." But to get CURED I need to work with a practitioner.

I just drink lemonade and take a swig of olive oil every once in a while and haven't had any issues since. Strangely, olive oil isn't nearly as gross as it seems, just taking a shot out of the bottle.

This is a well known recipe for gallbladder stones, liver diseases etc.

I used to do 3 days fast starting my day with olive oil and lemon juice and heat on my right side. I won't recommend it, it is not for everyone, but it does remove all kind of stuff from your guts, and digestive system.

There is a protocol how to do this fast, but like a said, it must be carefully, preparing your body in advance. Read about it on the gallbladder attack site (one word).

I didn't know it helps with kidney stones as well. Thank you

I was in the midst of my 3rd kidney stone. Found out via CT that I had a 2 mm kidney stone high up in my left kidney. I went to the doctor because I was having mild-moderate bladder spasms (which I had experienced only one time before---right after lithotripsy for my first stone of 8 mm in 2002/2003, while I was passing the fragments of the smashed stone for 3 AWFUL WEEKS!! Never will do lithotripsy again!! ). Since then I have had the spasms most of the time, occasional back pain and almost constant tenderness and discomfort in the "female" area. I tried taking Flomax, they put me on Urimat MB (and antispasmodic used for GI issues but has shown to help with bladder spasms too --- and it did help me with mine, but I did not want to stay on it). I took Ibuprofen when I was really uncomfortable, took prescription pain med which did help, but I got some weird reaction 4 hours after taking, so I quit that. Did many hot baths.

This past Sunday night I started to hurt and I mean to HURT. I got on the computer and googled how to get rid of kidney stones and found this site. What a God-send. I am skeptical of natural remedies and as a nurse I understand and value the science of medicine. Um, color me a changed person! I read a few reviews/posts about the lemon juice and olive oil concoction and thought "It can't hurt, I'm pretty desperate, I'll try it".

I took 3 oz. of EVOO and 3 oz. of freshly squeezed lemon oil, poured them into a glass together, pinched my nose and chugged it down. Surpisingly, it did not bother my stomach at all, and I normally can't drink or eat anything "healthy". I went back to reading the reviews, and an hour later was still having a significant amount of pain. I took 600 mg. of Ibuprofen and an hour later (at 1am) my pain had lessened enough and I was tired enough that I went to bed (still in pain).

Woke up 7 hours later and pain was gone. I drank the concoction (but only 2 oz each of EVOO and freshly squeezed lemon juice) that Monday morning and evening. No pain but still no stone. (I had been peeing through a strainer since Sunday afternoon when I started to feel more pain and discomfort). Got up Tuesday morning and even before I looked in my strainer I knew that sucker had passed. It was the FIRST time in 6 weeks I peed and felt no discomfort/tenderness/throbbing/burning upon urination. It felt great! And sure enough, there in the strainer was my stone. I could not believe it. Now, maybe this was a coincidence, but I don't believe in coincidences so I think not. All I know is this: that stone passed easily and I never had any pain after the first downing of the mixture.

I have since purchased the herb Chanca Piedra and will be taking that as a stone preventative but should I end up with another stone, I will immediately begin the lemon juice and EVOO remedy.

To those of you reading this, you have nothing to lose in trying this. I feel for all of those out there suffering with kidney stones and hope you get relief very quickly!

I will NEVER have lithotripsy done again. NEVER. I'm a nurse so when I say I will do anything but that, I know exactly what I am saying. To be fair, I had a friend who also had a kidney stone around the same time with the usual godawful pain, he had lithotripsy and had not one iota of pain afterwards. So, I guess some people have good success.

Question for Jennifer and her kidney stones:

You say .... here goes.... that you are downing lemon juice and olive oil for the stones. I've posted on this and read posts on the use of lemon juice in water (one half lemon in glass of water) ... twelve times in a day over a period of up to two weeks and after three days a quarter cup of olive oil to help the stones evacuate.

But it sounded like all you were taking was a one time use of olive oil and lemon juice. Maybe I misunderstood you; but in my reading a LOT of juice will be needed to unlodge the stones, helped by the olive oil. I've had 4 stones and got all of them eliminated but only after at least 3 or 4 days of downing diluted lemon juice. One stone took 10 days. That's 60 lemons!!!! In 12 glasses of water.

I've had several small calcium oxalate stones (3-5 mm) since the early 1990s. Fortunately, I've never required medical intervention. Last Thursday I developed the telltale symptoms. I learned years ago when an attack begins, to immediately drink lots of water and if available, a lengthy hot shower on my back where the pain is. The hot shower dilates blood vessels, relaxes smooth muscle to assist in the passage of the stone. While the water and hot shower helped this time, I was unable to pass the stone until today. Since it's Memorial Day, my chances of obtaining medical relief were nil so I started searching for a home remedy. I ran across the oil and lemon juice treatment. I must admit, as a scientist, I was skeptical. Olive oil is not going lubricate your urinary tract and the lemon juice may help dissolve certain kinds of stones. I figured, what the heck, anything is worth a try.

Within an hour, the pain subsided and I think the stone has passed to my bladder. The trick now will be to drink enough water to flush the stone through my bladder. The trick will be to align the stone with my urethral opening and voila, the stone will pop out without much difficulty. It may be a coincidence that the OO and lemon juice seems to work, but I'm a happy camper right now. If you're suffering, it's worth a shot.

IT WORKS! I literally just passed a 3mm stone 5 minutes ago. Wow. After that first wave of nausea and pain, the worst pain I got was noticeable but not crippling and that was only two times on just one day. After that, virtually nothing. No pain, no nausea. I never went to the emergency room or needed medication. My CT Scan showed the stone in my ureter and doc said try to let it pass, if not then lithotripsy. I actually never saw the doc. We did it all by email. Modern times.

For the remedy I was not very scientific. But I drank the juice of one lemon plus an ounce of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) almost every night. I also drank the juice of 1/2 lemon plus approx 2 TBsp of ACV 5 or 6 times each day. I bought a bottle of Chanca Piedra and would mix some in water or beer - usually one dropper full 2 or 3 times per day.

I highly recommend anyone with Kidney Stones try this! This is the real deal.

I can't speak for anybody else, but I heartily recommend lemon juice. I have had kidney stones twice in the last two years. The first time I went to the emergency room, where they told me I had a kidney stone. They gave me some pain pills and sent me home. The pain pills did very little and the pain was unlike anything I had ever felt. I came upon a web site that recommended lemon juice and olive oil. I mixed a couple of ounces of each and down the hatch it went. An hour later I repeated the procedure. Within the next hour I felt a lessening of the pain and by morning I was pain free.

Fast forward to last night. Once again, the sudden excruciating pain. This time I was ready and within 3 hours I was back to normal. I can promise I will never be without lemon juice and olive oil. I must warn you, olive oil isn't the most sumptuous taste and the lemon juice will make you pucker. The results are well worth the taste.

This mix of just 2oz lemon juice with 2oz olive oil worked so fast in stopping the awful pain caused by a 6ml kidney stone, it is an amazing cure. Here is the story, this is the first time I have kidney stones so I really didn't know what I was dealing with, only that the pains were worse than childbirth!

I had excruciating pains on and off for 10 days before I ended up at the ER, in Florida, dehydrated and desperate with pain on the left flank and lower abdomen. The scan results came indicating a 6ml stone in the left kidney, and traces of other stones having already passed. I spent 3 days in the hospital with IV, unable to eat because I would throw up everything, even water. The 3rd day the pains didn't come for 12 hours and the doctors discharged me with a painkiller and vomiting prescription, telling me to comeback in a week!!!! Happily I went home, but 3 hours later the pain and weakness came started to comeback.

In desperation I googled Earthclinic and so the top cure! I squeezed the lemon an oil, whisked it together and gulped down, in 15 minutes I was a normal person again, the pain disappeared, and no more tiredness and dizziness. Now this doesn't last, every 4 hours or so I have take another shot of this or the pain comes with the other awful feelings of nausea, sweating, just unwell. But this beats all the other drugs for pain that I was given at the hospital, I had morphine and oxicodone (can't remember the spelling of this one). The stone still there, it's only 12 hours since I started the olive oil/ lemon juice treatment but I got the pain under control, totally pain free for every few hours until next dose of lemon and oil. I still need to read more about kidney stones treatment and prevention. A million thanks to Earth Clinic and all those who shared their stories, Thank God you guys are around!

A kidney stone was found in my right kidney weeks ago. There was some blood in my urine but that was the only symptom until a week and a half ago when I started feeling like I had to urinate all the time. This increased until the past couple of days, when I have had constant urge to urinate and burning. It was unbearable last night and I couldn't sleep. Advil didn't help at all. Then I found out there was a bottle of straight lemon juice in fridge.

I did 1/2 juice 1/2 olive oil, probably about an ounce of each. After about 30 minutes or so (not exactly sure how long), burning lessened and need to pee diminished and suddenly I was comfortable and could relax and go to sleep. I don't know if stone passed but I don't think so. Still comfortable this morning. Why didn't I do this sooner!!! Thanks.

Hopefully, all will flush!

HI U NINI, , , , , , , , , , , I hope you are doing apple juice for at least 5 days before you do the lemon juice and Olive oil. Other wise, you are just asking for trouble.

The apple juice softens the stones and they break up in to smaller stones and will pass easier.

Wish you well.======ORH===========

This remedy can be a permanent fix with following procedure, it takes 48 hrs to disolve all the kidney stones without pain/trace and no doctor fee absolutely.

Day 1

1. Drink a cup of apple juice every one hour, should take atleast 6 to 8 classes on that day.

2. Should intake glass of distilled water for every 30 min after taking apple juice. if you're not getting distilled water, regular purified water is good enough.

3. No foods on day 1. (No breakfast, no lunch, no dinner)

Day 2

1. Take cup of lemon juice mix it with cup of extra virgin olive oil.

2. drink 5 or 6 tablespoons of mixture for every 15 mins untill entire mixture is taken.

3. cook 6 peeled bananas for 15 min's with cup of olive oil. (yess.... it's regular banana fruit)

4. cut the banans into pieces and eat every single piece in 15 min interval.

5. Once everything is completed, you will be urged for natural actions with in 2 to 3 hrs where u can see all the kidney stones comes out.

Definitely YEA, because I was diagnosed with a 6mm kidney stone which they said was borderline for treatment. So they sent me home after giving me a pain killing jab. At home , in desperation I found earth clinic and this cure And took two doses of the 2oz lemon/olive oil on 2 consecutive days.

I found that this immediately stopped the pain so that all I felt was pressure and discomfort. After a couple of weeks that went too.

Now, 8 weeks later , I have just been for X-ray and the doctor was astounded that it was gone, but also that I had not passed it . The lemon and olive oil must have somehow dissolved it! In his disbelief he is sending me for a CT scan to make sure its gone, but I know it has because I have no symptoms at all .

Earth clinic is a fab idea. I am now going to try some of the hot flash cures too!

Please be aware that there is almost no need for surgery when it comes to kidney stones. They have many products on the internet that dissolves the glue that holds kidney stones together turning them to mush that get excreted out. Home made solutions can work also. The advantage I think with some products is that they address different aspects like possible infections. Do not have any surgery. They can be cured them naturally. Doctors will generally not mention this.

IT WORKED!!!

I drank 2 oz lemon juice mixed with 2 oz olive oil. Then went to the Urgent Care for them to do a urinalysis in case it was a UTI (which my doctor's office recommended) because it was the end of the day .

The Urgent care doctor's assistant argued with me and told me I did NOT belong there, but I should be at the ER. I nicely told her I was trying the lemon juice with oil treatment to see if it would pass on it's now. Again she told me I should NOT be seeing the doctor there. She was not very nice about it. But finally came back with the doctor.

The doctor then told me she would not prescribe pain meds when I SHOULD be in the ER so they could do a CT scan to see how big the stone was. I told her about reading about the lemon juice and and oil and they both looked at me like I was going to wave a magic wand over myself. I told her nicely, that I was doing what my doctor's office recommended, and that they felt I could try it my way for a few hours, if I could tolorate the pain.

They both did everything but roll their eyes and told me they worried about me being septic, and how fast that can move. I assured them I would be back if I ran a temp. Or was in great pain. And they said, "So you'll end up in the ER anyway, so why not go now?"

Grrr. I did the urine and it came back with blood and they said, you do have a kidney stone. And they said since my episode started out with diarrhea, that was very abnormal (yet I've read that it happens that way with a lot of people! ).

ANYWAY, I drank the second glass, took more Naproxin, and went to sleep. Wokr up in the very next morning, passed the stone... Felt it. It was a one second, Yikes, moment. When I pulled it from the jar, it broke into 7 pieces in my hand. It was bigger than the 6mm stone I had last year!

I am SO happy! I will use the lemon juice any time I do this again. This is my second round with a kidney stone. The incident last year, involved an eventual UTI, two ER visits, a reaction to pain meds, a 12 hour hospital stay, and a 5 day wait for a blasting machine.

Happy, in Seattle!

I ate it with a spoon. It tastes like lemon juice - totally not gross or anything! I KID YOU NOT, within one hour I passed a stone that was 1/2" long and 1/4" wide! Without pain. Not making this up. Still a little shocked! There may be more, so I'm going to keep using this amazing remedy for a day or two. I love earth clinic!!!

I mixed up the lemon juice/olive oil at 9:00 pm march 11/12. Repeated again at 7:30 am march 12/12. By 3:00 pm that day I passed a 9mm stone (PAIN FREE) I can't belive it. I passed a stone 10 years ago 3mm and went thru hell in the process. All kidding aside this shit works.

My wife had a kidney stone and was willing to try anything to avoide surgery. She tried the olive oil and lemon juice for a couple of days. Her pain came and went during a two week period. She was scheduled for surgery to remove it. The morning of surgery they did an ultasound and discovered that the stone was no longer present, and was spared the surgery.

to Mhillqt from New York, Ny. I have no direct experience with a particularly large stone but I have had a couple of painfull kidney stone attacks over the years.

I found that drinking about 2 litres of pure unsweetened apple juice a day for 2 consecutive days alkylized my system enough to shrink the stone size so that they could pass painlessly through my system. I could then use whatever method I wanted to flush my kidneys and be back to normal.

This has proven effective on three different occasions when I let my diet drift to too much animal protein and fat for a prolonged period.

Seems to me that I read that apple juice will break up the stone. Read up on that.

Barbara, 1 or 2 T ACV with the 'mother' (it's unfiltered, raw and unpasteurized) to the lemon juice & OO might help.
