Multiple Remedies

I discovered a red, bumpy, itchy rash on the back of my legs. I'm pregnant and my skin has become super sensitive. I think this was some kind of allergic reaction to synthetic fibers in clothing.
Here is what finally cured the rash:
1. Grandpa's soap (coconut oil)
2. all natural aloe vera gel from a health store
3. ACV applied directly to skin
Drying the rash out helped way more than any moisture cream or lotion.
Here is what didn't help: Cortizone 10, A D ointment, Sarna cream, poison ivy cream, diaper rash cream, Aveno oatmeal bath, and prescription steroid cream.
After showering with Grandpa's Soap, I applied pure Apple Cider Vinegar to the rash. It burned a little from me scratching, but about an hour later, I felt okay. I slept through the night and the next morning, the rash was 50% better! I could not believe it! I continued using ACV in the morning and evening after bathing with the soap. It's been 2 weeks and my rash is completely cured!

I have had a terrible rash that started 1 year ago. It started in my armpits, and moved under my breasts. It was like pimples that drained acid. Peeling layer after layer. I tried everything I could find. Then found article from Jim Hummel (mms). I think I got a computer virus from this one, but well worth it. He stated if mms seemed to make rash worse, than the treatment for it is 50/50 calcium bentonite clay/ vasoline. Mix together and spread over entire area every 8 hours for 1 week. Then a thin coat once a day for a month. If the rash is extremely bad, been there for awhile then you should take tsp. in water, daily for month as well. Sure I'm greasy, and staying close to home for a month... But the pain is gone, and I'm healing!

Definitely ACV is a solution to a rash. This evening I found that I had a rash on my whole face. Basically traumatized by the fact that it was instantaneously itchy and burning, my sister gave me an antibiotic gel for the skin. I had that for about 25 minutes yet still had the urge to scratch and the burning sensation spread to my neck. So I decided to dilute ACV with water, dabbed the affected areas with a cotton ball and instantly the burning and itching went away. It has been a whole hour and no symptoms of the above has come about. The countless red bumps along my face and neck are rapidly smoothing out.
Back to bed for me! Thank you earth clinic and the many people who have posted of your experiences. ACV is definitely a need to have, not only in your kitchen, but also in your bathroom cabinet.

I discovered this weird extremely itchy, bumpy, red rash on the back of my legs at 23 weeks pregnany. It spread to my butt cheeks as well. Apparently there is this pregnancy induced rash called PUPPP. You can google it. I tried a bunch of medicated products that DID NOT WORK! Including: cortisone cream, A D ointment, prescription topical steroid cream, poison ivy cream, sarna lotion, and aveno oatmeal bath.
Finally, after reading these posts, this worked for me is 1) 2x day lather rash with Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap. It gives temporary relief due to the ingredient coconut oil. 2) natural aloe vera gelly (as close to 100% as you can get) and 3) apple cider vinegar COMPLETELY CURED the rash! I applied it with a cotton ball to the rash 2x a day and it has dried up. After the first use, my rash was not itchy within 1 hr. The next day it was 50% better. Now after 4 days of use, my skin is not bumpy and the rash is disappearing.
Anti-Fungal Medication

Hello.. I'm really big on home remedies, which is why I come here a lot. When you said fungus/yeast I thought of this.. Candidas infections are caused also by what is in regular food supply.. Sprayed on vegetables and injected in animals.. I.E. Antibiotics and hormones! ... Causing all kinds of maladies.. Including rashes. I went organic.. The white on my tongue is gone now.. And, I no longer get chapped hands in winter which is odd, .. Since I'd get really bad just a few days when weather turned cold here. And, my son's allergies are gone. I still have a skin rash, but it's getting better without doing anything else to it. Detoxing would be a good thing to try. That's the thing.. we're 'detoxing' from the toxins we get from our own regular food supply itself, which is why I went organic.

DMSO has saved me many times from fingernails turning black, etc. Whenever I've injured myself. The minute I hurt myself, I'll soak the hurt part in DMSO.

I have a tip for treating diaper rash; clean the baby as you normally would, then use an antibiotic wipe (like Wet Ones) over the rash area, THEN apply the rash ointment. The rash will clear up within no time.

I developed a chest rash. Non itchy when perimenopause started. I blamed it on everything under the sun. On a whim I tried caneston cream on the rash. Gone! Guess it was yeast? Happy camper.

I started to notice my skin feeling like it had been rubbed with sand paper. When I got up the next morning I had a blistery rash on my left side. It started to spread and got painful and very itchy. I later went to the doc and was prescribed meds. I had been continuously applying anti itch cream which didn't seem to work. I tried the ACV and it instantly worked!

I have a skin rash that has come and gone several times over the years. In the past, it's gotten so bad it covered my entire torso, with multiple large spots on my arms, legs and hands. It's extremely itchy, scaly and gross. I've tried every remedy you can think of -- but with such a large amount of my body covered, it was hard to consistently apply anything. I worked on my diet, going super low-carb, and spent ridiculous amounts of money going to a naturopath & taking lots of supplements. It finally went away. Now, it's come back on my hands with a vengeance, and I can't afford the supplements.
I tried Tinactin, b/c I thought it was ringworm, but no-go. Vick's vaporub did nothing, and I tried ACV one time on a small spot on the back of my hand, and it made the rash spread and take over my whole hand and start creeping up my arm. After using neem oil, neem leaf extract, coconut oil, tea trea oil and fresh garlic, I still couldn't get rid of it!! I came back here and re-read all the ACV comments. At this point, my hands were so swollen from washing, scrubbing and itching I was having trouble typing -- and I write for a living.
ACV straight from the bottle, on a cotton ball, is what finally worked. It didn't make the rash spread this time; it dried all the tiny blisters out and the awful itching and pain have stopped. In the past, the itching has always gotten so bad the only way I could avoid clawing my skin off was to run my hands under hot water or blow a hot hair dryer on them. This kept me from making things worse :( Now, it's the second day of 3x/day ACV applications, and the healing is miraculous. My skin is still thick and "bubbly" and my fingers still look like sausages, but the skin is dry and flaking off and the little blisters are all popping and healing. The itching stopped for the most part after the first application. I'm definitely glad I tried ACV again. I was losing sleep every single night because my hands felt so itchy and painful.

Aloe Vera is safe to use and can offer some relief from diaper rash. It's antibacterial, antifungal, and very soothing for many types of skin irritations. To make your own Aloe baby wipes (it's easy, not to mention cheap) check out: http://www.aloeplant.info/aloe-for-diaper-rash-2/

John, the best thing to apply to the rash is Iodine. It will kill most bacterias on contact. I would also take some internally (lugols) to kill off any infection you may still have.

Good day.... I'm John from Philippines.. , last week ( saturday) I've accidentaly cut myself and then on Thursday I've had a fever with headache and can't sleep. Then the following day I noticed there were tiny red spot in my skin and then the fever continues for about 5 days on and off. Maybe because in the 4th day I decided to take antibiotics and paracetamol... Today its 2nd day of fever free, but still can't sleep and my urine is kinda green, and the redspot or rashes for some are reducing. By the way, the red spots are in my neck, forehands and feet...
Thanks, please help me know my health problem.
Peppermint Oil

Most essential oils you should never ever put on pure. They must be diluted in a carrier oil, such as olive oil, or coconut. Plus, be mindful that you're not putting on a fragrance oil instead, as it's definitely not the same thing, but synthetic. Make sure it's essential oil. One more thing. Always do a spot test for 24 hours before putting it on larger areas. Just to make sure you're not allergic.

White Vinegar takes away the itch. Soak a towel in 1/2 white vinegar, 1/2 water and use it as a compress- lay the towel (or rag) over the itchy area. You can press down if you want. I like to squeeze extra on the itchiest parts. A few minutes is all I need for relief. I like to leave some on my skin and let it dry up on its own after I'm done with the compress.
Turmeric

Being a nurse I am often times discouraged with the whole medical model here in the US. I decided to try this websites' homeopathic remedy of turmeric. It was an absolute success story in 4 days use, 2 times/day!
My daughter has had a rash which began on her upper thighs and buttocks, flesh colored, no real pattern, very itchy, for several months. The scratching was driving her crazy at night! She has seen the doctor on 3 separate occasions, expensive prescriptions, oral steroids, cream steroids, antibiotics, all to no avail. The rash has spread to her stomach, arms, chest and scalp. We were at our wits end! This has been going on for about 6 months.
I had some turmeric in my spice cabinet and thought what the heck, it can't hurt. It absolutely healed the entire rash! We mixed 1 tsp in a small glass of water, about 3-4 ounces, twice a day. I was amazed, surprised and thankful for this remedy. It has affirmed my beliefs in homeopathic medicines.
After some investigation but without a real pathology result, I believe the skin infection is MRSA related. This decade has seen an enormous increase in staph aureus and I believe it infiltrated her skin in some way.
Anyway, THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART EARTH CLINIC!!

hi, I recently went through chemo, my hair started falling out so I shaved it. Soon after my head started breaking out with a rash. Asked my doctor what to do he prescribed a pill supposed to take care of it, well it did not work. So when I saw this site talking about the vinegar I tried it. Let me tell you the next day it was already clearing up! I was amazed! It did not hurt to try it, and I am glad I did! Thanks for the heads up!
Peppermint Oil

★☆☆☆☆WARNING!
I recently just tried this remedy. HOWEVER!!! DO NOT PUT IT ON YOUR FACE. I just stopped crying. My face was became so inflamed. When I first applied the peppermint oil to my face, I initially didn't feel anything. By the time I wiped my face with the oil, I felt like my skin was melting off! I tried to remove the oil from my face with water... Big mistake #2. It didn't it just made it worse. My next and final attempt was to use coconut oil. Thank God for that... And although I applied it, I still am unable to remove all the peppermint from my face. I am unsure how this person was able to use this oil, but for me, I never been in so much facial pain in my life. I thought I was going to ask to be taken to the hospital. Never ever ever do this to your face. You'll be extremely sorry.

★★★★☆WORKED TEMPORARILY
I have been combating an underarm rash for many years, especially during the sweltering humid summers here in Florida. I try to stay in the ac to avoid excessive sweating. During the winter I can control this rash with several under arm washings with a neutral soap and foot powder. This summer my rash got out of hand and it was about the size of an apple in my armpit with huge ridges and valleys. I was using various creams, ie. Hydrocortizone, zinc, but it wasn't helping.
After visiting this site I applied apple cider vinegar after washing my arm pits 3 times a day and let it stay for about 1/2 hour and then dry. It stung like hell for the first couple of days and took about a week to clear up, but the rash is about gone after two weeks of this treatment. I still put the Apple Cider Vinegar on two times a week followed by drying & foot powder. I'm using a bottle with screw top and home-made dabber with handle that fits inside the bottle. This way I can use it daily with little prep by keeping a little Apple Cider Vinegar in the bottle at all times. My wife says I smell like Italian dressing, but who cares when your in your 70s. Not much else matters but feeling good! Thanks for your website. I use it often and recommend it to everyone I know.

You that have rashes and your hair thinning you need to know - the way to correct those problems is from the inside out. Diet, not shampoo or soap, is what you need.
Also those talking about ascorbic acid should be aware that it often comes from corn. The majority of corn in this country is genetically modified. If you want grandchildren then do not use that stuff on your kids. If you want to get through life without having organ damage then you should avoid it too.

The most common mistake with heat rash is the use of lotions or oils to relieve dryness. Heat rash results when sweat glands are clogged and this just makes things worse. Aloe gel straight from the plant is 96% water and allows the skin to breath while fighting bacterial infection and reducing pain. Applied every few hours, Aloe addresses the causes of irritation in the deeper layers of the skin while fighting bacteria at the surface, decreasing the duration and severity of the rash. For instructions to use the fresh plant at home, check out: www.aloeplant.info/beat-prickly-heat-with-aloe/

I got a rash on my face after eating three grilled cheese sandwiches... What can I say, but I am gluten intolerant and when I cheat, I cheat big! The rash started on my right check (it looked like rosacea - red, bumpy and crusty) and it spread to my forehead, the left side of my nose and around both eyes. I disolved borax in peroxide and put that on my face. It worked everywhere except around my eyes (I did not use as much there because I did not want to use it so close to the eye and it was very drying). I followed up with castor oil around my eyes and in just one day I have seen a huge improvement! I have read here that many like castor oil to take care of there facial skin. I am tempted to use it as well. My question is, isn't castor oil a mineral oil and we should not use mineral oils on our skin? I thought that we are only suppose to use vegetable type oils on our skin.... I WOULD LOVE SOME FEEDBACK!
