Borax and Hydrogen Peroxide

I have been treated for Rosacea by several Dermatologists for some dozen years and all for naught. Since my Rosacea is restricted to my nose, I concluded that it is indeed a problem with Demodex mites. It has been a long hard struggle as the critters are laying eggs constantly and you got a new crop to kill off constantly. Ted, says it is a nano-insect. I got no clue, but do think it is a critter of some kind. I am not pretty, but look pretty good 300 yards off now that my nose is not full of yuck bumps.

The formula I came up with is borax, HP, and tea tree oil and I mix this formula in a coke bottle cap and spread it on and in my nose morning and night. Since the critters live in you hair folicals , I also spread the solution in my nostrials. Don't look for a quick cure. If your Rosacea is from mites, then it is a long process. 6 months to a year.

Borax

I'm considering trying the Borax internal remedy for my rosacaa - however I have high blood pressure that is proving a little difficult to control even with 2 meds. So, what effect might this remedy have on my blood pressure? Should I seek elsewhere for another remedy? Or, should I only apply the Borax combo to my skin and forget the internal routine?

Hi, I was just wondering how do you use the apple cider vinegar. Do you put it directly on your face or injest it? I've suffer from this redness for awhile and would like to try this. Thanks Sherry

Vitamin C and Lysine

I have Rosasea. Your treatment is not clear to me. How exactly do you apply the treatment with lysine and Vitamin C. (on the top of the face?)

EC: Taken internally, not applied to the skin...

Lysine and Vitamin C cured rosacea in 2 days. I've had Rosacea for years. Whenever I quit drinking coffee my Rosacea will disappear in 7 days. However I have had a hard time quitting coffee. My face was sore and continually red.I don't have any noticable enlarged veins from Rosacea. I tried 4 grams each of Lysine and Vitamin C in one dose. Nothing happened. The next day I tried it in divided doses. It worked within 12 hours..Try it. Try a higher dose if this amount doesn't work. Vitamin C alone won't work.

I have had a terrible struggle with severe rosacea on my face, eyes, and neck the past few months, along with seborrheic dermatitis on and behind my ears. This attacked with a vengeance at age 50 after a lifetime of no significant skin problems. The onset was after a serious illness, possibly autoimmune, so it seems it was facilitated by a compromised immune system. After getting progressively worse following my dermatologist's recommendations, I started reading and researching everything I could get my hands on. There were many days I wouldn't even leave the house because my face and eyes were so raw and swollen. My facial features were nearly unrecognizable as my own, and I was truly desperate, and was terribly afraid I would never look normal again. I finally seem to have found a combination of remedies that have almost miraculously returned my skin to its former (smooth, soft, unblemished, not red) self, and I am praying that there is no relapse.

So far, so good, and I wanted to share what I am doing.

1).I am taking 4-5 lysine 1000 mg.tablets daily (2-3 a.m. & p.m.) along with several grams of vitamin C daily

2). After washing with a mild facial cleanser morning & evening, I follow with a ACV straight out of the bottle all over the affected areas applied with a cotton ball.

3) After 5 minutes, I rinse off the ACV, pat dry, and apply vaseline all over my face & neck. The results have been amazing! I don't know this for fact, but IF rosacea is caused by mites, I think that the vaseline may smother them, but I'd love to hear Ted's thoughts on this. As heavy as vaseline is, at night on rosacea-ravaged skin it is soothing and nicely absorbed, and you may be able to go a little lighter in the morning. This has been a godsend for me, and I would love to know if anyone else tries it and what their results are. I will post an update after awhile to see if I remain clear.

Borax

Hi i am considering using borax for rosacea but would be interested to know if sodium bicarbonate works as well? And is it better to apply it topically to the skin as well as take it internally. John

Colloidal Copper
Posted by Linda (West Newfield, Maine) on 11/26/2008

Hi Ina, I've been using colloidal silver on occasion for several months....it can be ingested, properly diluted and can be applied un-diluted directly on your skin. Silver has anti-bacterial, fungal and viral properties and I would use as long as necessary....until your skin clears. It's a little expensive but a little silver goes a long way. Hope this helps!

How did you use colloidal silver, please? Internally or externally? How much? How soon you so the result? Does it last? Thank you very much.

EC: Great questions. FYI - colloidal copper was used, not silver.

Dietary Changes

Keratosis Pilaris, acne, rosacea, etc

I used to have many health ailments, many of which I have read about here. The only thing that works to cure them and keep them away is a raw diet. When eating a raw diet, you avoid most of the foods that cause the problems in the first place. Consuming too much cooked proteins, especially wheat and dairy, causes disease. Cooking the proteins makes them difficult for the body to break down the protein. The excess proteins clog up the lymph and other organs of elimination causing an over growth of bacteria (colds, cysts, etc.)which in turn causes disease. The disease usually shows up in the weakest organs that have usually been abused the most from a wrong diet. There is a wealth of info at waisays.com and barefoots forum at curezone.com. Herbs are a great way to aid in healing. When you just start cleansing and eating a raw diet, they can help you heal faster. Just wanted to mention this. Thanks and have a great day!

Tea Tree Oil

I have been using 100%TTO with cotton bud [burns] or directly with hand massage, for 31days now, on my mild pustular ROSACEA-face and 50/50with olive oil on eye scrub for swallen eyelid and cappilaries on ezelids and in both eyes[I had demodex dandruffs between eyelashes now just swallen eyelids and cappilaries] and on my tiny pound big ECZEMA on my left trunk site [which appeared now and then since I was putting LOCACID on my face[cont. bit corticoid]year ago].

My face has improved a bit, but red pustular pimples still keep coming [NOT SURE IF PIMPLES EQUAL DEATH of DEMODEX or the fact the TTO IS NOT WORKING!????], just smaller and not so painfull, as well as redness still comes now and then.

But what weird thing happened...my ECZEMA got bigger{big red patch after shower, otherwise several brownish marks/dry eczema-rush] and keeps spreading in a form of red underskin sometimes very itchy rush, visible especially after shower, travelling from side to middle where it stays, and also little rush on the right side.

I keep putting 100%TTO all over it after shower, before bedtime, in the morning it is invisible apart of brownish ekzema patches on left or it is itchy until I put TTO...it is not getting any better, but I am afraid to put any oil or cream so I am not feeding the DEMODEX???? or some other parazite. ...was spending past year mostly in the bed writing on laptop...so something could develop around my lower back, I quess...and now visible thanks to TTO???

I would like to know if anyone has similar experience or if TED from B. would know what it could be and how to cure it...?
Also if there is anything else what I could take internally to kill DEMODEX -PARAYITES OF ALL SORTS[flaxseed oil I know, does not do anything for me unfortunatelly...]

Many thanks for any info and thanks for reading.

Hi, I'm new at this site, so please forgive me if I make a boo boo.
This posting is regarding rosacea.

I've been suffering with what seems to be rosacea for ahout 4 years now. My derm dr. is not 100% sure. Pathologist says it could be rosacea or whatever else I forgot. Dr. gave me metrogel and other topicals, a whole bunch of them, but nothing helped, except to make the matter worse. I quit going to the doctors for this problem.

Currently, I'm using only Jojoba oil on my face, because my face has become so sensitive to anything, I can't even put Zenmed cream for sensitive skin.

I have severe rheumatoid arthritis, for which I take strong medications, such as Humira, methotrexate, prednisone, plaquenil. With all 4 combined, my sed rate is still soaring above 100.

Recently, I found out that I was heavily mercury poisoned, as well as aluminum poisoned. That is probably causing me all sorts of medical problems.

After removing the amalgams, I went to a NAET acupuncture treatment to help elliminate allergies. After each treatment, my face flared up, like my capillaries might burst, and after 5 sessions, my face has gotten so bad, developed chronic situations, and I'm now in desperate search for cure.

My problem is that I react to almost every treatment, supplement, and remedies. (it is always my face that react. Why?) So I'm being very careful.

My detox specialist says that (he uses kinesiology) my face is a result of aluminum poisoning, and that the toxins are coming out of my facial skin. So then he gave me some tinctures to take care of the problem, and now my face is all swollen like moon face.

I would like to try some of the remedies mentioned here, but I don't know which one is best, since I am so sensitive to everything. Any suggestions? Any advice?

Just to give you more idea, I've been going to colonics regulary for about a year now. My diet is pretty much vegetarian, and my Ph is.. as far as my saliva is concerned, it's about 6.8.

After the NAET crisis, I seem to have developed ocular rosacea. This scares me. I'd appreciate your help!!!
Thanks!

WORKED TEMPORARILY

When I initially tried Ted's borax and peroxide remedy it cleared my rosacea right away. -- But -- It came back. -- My Natural Health Doctor says that is because the REAL cause of Rosacea is a Weakened Immune System.

She says that the mites are a "normal" part of life, and that they cause no symptoms in people with healthy immune systems.

I can believe that, as I have been a dog breeder for many years, and know that dogs get the symptoms of demodectic mange when they are going through periods of stress.

Life in this system is continually stressful for most of us. I guess we must try to relieve that stress to the best of our ability. Also, diet plays a big part in healing our immune systems, so I guess we need to adopt the theory "don't eat junk food" (if you want to be healthy.)

I had to write and leave feedback as another testimonial that ACV is a miracle cure. I have suffered with Dermatitis/ Rosacea (the doctors couldn't decide what it was) on my forehead for 6 years. I used steroid creams for years that controlled it but never cured it but even they stopped having an effect in the last year or so. I saw ACV testemonials on this website so I tried it. Within a day or 2 the ACV I applied had stopped the spots appearing, the the redness and swelling went down. I use it every night and i'm now free of all symptoms - it only took about a week to cure it all together! It's so so frustrating that doctors don't/ can't tell you about these things. Thank you so much to this website - It's changing a lot of people's lives.

Borax and Hydrogen Peroxide

Answer to AKR: You can find Arm & Hammer Washing Soda at most supermarkets where laundry detergents are located. Yes, I continue to use 1/4 teaspoon of both, morning and night. I just monitor my PH and adjust accordingly if my PH gets too high... guess it depends on my diet too. But it definately works better than baking soda alone. Tastes really bad, so use just a small amount of water and get it down in a couple of gulps, follwed by a big glass of water. I have had no negative side effect either. I sleep better and my husband says I am "calmer" now, so I tell him he should do it then!

I continue to use the borax/peroxide treatments for my rosacea. It is getting better, but is taking a long time.

Hi Kate,

Will you please let us know where you bought the washing soda from, and what brand? Many thx.

Also, I would like to learn more about your carbicarb experience. Are you still continuing it? Is it still benefitting you as much as it did initially? Any side effects?

The reason for my curiosity is that I have been using baking soda for some time now, but only with mediocre success. On the downside, my insomnia has worsened. So, I decided to do some research on the net. I saw a study that showed that baking soda alone could cause brain acidosis. Of course, these studies are inconclusive, and you can always find other studies that show the opposite. Nonetheless, the studies seemed to be more favorable for carbicarb than baking soda. Hence, my curiosity in your experience with carbicarb vs. baking soda. Many thx.

Sincerely,
AKR

Tea Tree Oil remedy for Rosacea...

I have a question regarding the suggestion of Tea Tree Oil for help with my rosacea. I want to try it and I have purchased a bottle of the oil but it states to not put it directly on the skin. Since others have had success with it I want to make sure I follow the same procedure. Does the oil go directly on the skin or was it mixed with something? Thanks.

TED..Thank you very much for your advice. You provide a great service to many people.

I am a 49 year old menopausal female. I have had rosacea for about 9 years, but mostly just had redness and ruddy skin with broken capillaries. But about 3 months ago I started breaking out with this little bumps on my chin and upper lip. I avoid direct sun, but it gets much worse after any sun exposure. It looks terrible, like acne, but its not. I started your remedy 25 days ago. It has been like a roller coaster, seems to be getting better, then not, but overall I think it is slowing working. Initially I had a hard time alkalizing. I got some test strips and the lowest ph measure is 6.8, which was an orange color, and I couldn't even get close to that, so I must have been very acid. I tried the baking soda twice a day and it was barely helping. Finally after about 10 days, I was able to find the washing soda. Once I used the carbicarb formula, it went up to 8.0 in two days! So now I do that once a day to keep at about 7.4. Then I do 1/2 teaspoon of borax and 1/2 teaspoon of peroxide in a liter of water which I drink throughout the day. I also do the topical borax/peroxide every night. It makes my skin very dry and is peeling. What else can I use for moisturizer and exfoliation that won't interfere with treatment? My skin is definitely getting smoother, but still a lot of redness. Lavender oil does not help either. In fact, anything I put on my skins makes it immediately deep red in the rosacea area. Also, a peculiar thing is happening. In the morning with a 10x magnified mirror, I look at my skin very closely. These little white "pin heads" are surfacing. With a slanted tweezer I pull them out and they come out very easy. They are white with a fine root-like body, about 1/8 to 1/2 inch long. They are not normal white heads. Could they be these nanoinsects? Or just my pores clearing out? This is only happening is the areas of the rosacea.

I look forward to your advice.
Thank you, Kate

I was recently diagnosed with Rosacea and prescribed an antibacterial gel to apply to my face 2x a day. According to the dermatologist I would probably have to do that the rest of my life. After having indigestion one evening, i got online and found this site. I decided to try using Apple Cider Vinegar (1 tbsp 3 x a day mixed with water or grape juice) for the indigestion. Amazingly after only 1 day my indigestion was totally gone, but the best part was that almost all signs of my rosacea were gone. My sinuses were clear and I felt better than i had in years. I just wanted to say thanks to all that have posted here. This website and these testimonials have changed my life for the better. Thanks to all who have posted before me.

I am shocked and amazed after thousands of dollars spent on TCA peels, medicated creams and Dr. prescribed Retin A etc,.that I find Tea Tree oil to be an overnight wonder (Literally) for the treatment of my Rosacea. All my redness was gone after 2 nights of applying the oil directly all over my face. Acne and redness is completely gone!! This stuff is awesome! Got mine at Sprouts health food store. I read a suggestion about using tea tree oil to help with rosacea, so I tried it. I'd used it occasionally for pimples, but I had never tried putting it all over my face. It worked like a charm! I still have a little redness which can't be helped because of the summer heat, but I haven't had any break-outs and my face looks much better than it did using the expensive creams.
