About three years ago I had food poisoning. As a result, I experienced a prolonged period of IBS-C. This condition persisted for about five months. I thought I was beginning to heal when I began to develop IBS-D. I tried many approaches, eliminating things from my lifestyle that might cause the diarrhea, such as alcohol, coffee and spicy food.
