Surgery

In my early 20's I had chronic sinus infections. I took antibiotics a number of times over the years. The ENT said I had a deviated septum. I had surgery to correct it and the chronic sinus infections stopped. I have perhaps had one per decade since!
Unfortunately, it doesn't work for everyone.
My brother has been unable to breathe through his nose for decades. He had surgery to correct a deviated septum. He was about to breathe for about 24 hours and then his sinuses clogged back up. Apparently the deviated septum was only one of the causes of chronic sinus infections for him.
