No, no one told me anything. I am at my wit's end, as you are. I am going to an ENT specialist in June and I'm sure I'll have to get them removed, which I don't want to go through either. A month ago, I had to go on an antibiotic due to a sore throat and infection I had trouble fighting on my own. Almost immediately, the polyps shrunk and I was able to breathe. It was like a miracle. But of course that didn't last once I finished the pills. I am fed up with doctors either not knowing anything about these horrendous things or not telling us how to get rid of them without surgery. I just cannot believe there is no cure for this nonsense. It is so irritating!!!

I would try to avoid surgery at all costs. I lost my sense of smell, and therefore taste, of course, about 7 years ago due to sinus polyps. The only time I can smell is when I have to take steroids for an asthma flare, or if there are residual effects from a steroid joint injection. The only time I feel decent is when I'm taking steroids, so I must be a flaming blob of inflammation. I had the surgery about 5 years ago and the polyps came back in full force a depressingly short time later. The ENT doc (whom I equate with a used car salesman now) told me I would have to use steroid drops for the rest of my life. I tried that for a year, but they did nothing so I stopped. They can't reach my sinuses and I can't stand on my head to take them. I'm not sure what exactly is causing them. It's probably mold or allergies. I'm thinking of bracing myself and trying diet. I'm spineless when it comes to sugar, so before I try diet I'm wondering about one of the salt inhalers I've seen that supposedly work wonders for asthma. Has anyone tried that?

I've had nasal polyps and had the surgery to have them removed and the polyps came back. Of course I took steriods and they are gone again. I am going to try the B Vitamins. Did you lose your sense of smell? I would like to know how to get my sense of smell back. Please advise if you know how I can get my sense of smell back.

Over the years, at various times, I have lost my sense of smell from 3 different causes: (1) nasal polyps, (2) congestion from migraine swelling, and (3) zinc deficiency. So, the cure would depend on the cause... By the way, when I get migraine swelling, I do NOT get a headache, instead I get nasal and sinus swelling. When had a zinc deficiency, I took a fairly low dose of 15 mg and took it with food. Otherwise, zinc on an empty stomache can give one a terrible belly ache!

Hello, I had nasal polyps for 2 years now with no sense of smell or taste, got surgery with no luck. I didn't try eliminating sugar, but I don't really have a sweet tooth. My problem started when I started painting cars with no mask on somtimes, the fumes were starting to burn my nose and stayed stuck.
I started rinsing my nose with 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, and a drop or two of Black seed oil but if more it burns, all in warm distilled water.
With God's help I started to smell and taste after two or three weeks. But now I stopped smelling and tasting because I stopped after month and a half I got lazy mixing and warming up the distilled water.
Wish you good luck.

If your nasal polyps are swollen or inflamed due to infection etc, a temprorary relief to this is to crush ICE force it up your nose compacting the polyps :-) I had one the size of a marble in my right nostril for last 2/3 weeks Ice has reduced it considerably. I can actually breathe in an out of that nostril today for the first time in weeks, sadly its probably only temprorary , the first time I used the Ice was last night was amazed to wake this morning swelling gone right down , give it a try it costs nothing spread out a tissues or cloth on table lean ur head forward the ice will will obviously melt on to the cloth.. I'm going out to try another ICE session now ...

Yes, I have found Colloidal Silver to be the absolute best thing for my constantly runny nose, and post nasal drip. I have suffered this for more years than I can remember. I don't know about polyps though. I am a blood type O. I use a bottle that has a nasal saline spray in it, and empty it.

Just read most of the comments about Polyps, I think most of the comments were excellent, I think David from Fountain Inn had it pretty well spot on, also some of the remedys might work for some and not others as other people have already said and I have just found out that we have a immune system slightly different from other people and its the reason we get the problems that we have, I have had sinus problems for as long as I can remember, the other day my ears were so bad I went to see the ENT Dr, My daughter said why not check your nose at the same time I thought why not long time since last check, she discoverd a large Polyp in the right side two smaller ones left side, I'm on loads of medication which works (I can smell and taste food now) strange that most people seem to have large one right side, also I would like to say I'm a great beliver in Castor oil and ACV, so when med stops salt bath and some of the others, all the best to every one.

Pranayama Breathing

Sinus Polyps: For me I used the natural breathing technique of pranamya and it has worked wonders. Note: Since starting pranamya my polyps have reduced significantly. I can now breathe through my nose via both nostrils (polyps for me developed in the right nostril so right nostril and right ear became blocked) but when I first discovered polyps at first
I struggled to breathe through my right nostril at all - I used nasal sprays and sometimes steam to get rid of any mucus causing nasal congestion in my nose and then to soothe the inflammation caused by polyps. Gradually I was able to get enough out that I could more effectively use pranamya to breathe through the nostril and now a significant amount is gone. I still use nasal spray as needed - it helps reduce inflammation - note: when I sneeze I find it easy to exhale and the polyps come to the surface with liquid from spray also coming out my nose.
My ENT specialist says situation in my case is not bad enough to undergo surgery I can just keep doing pranamya and using spray as needed. I was also given a spray to lubricate my blocked ear and that has also helped. At first my nose and ear were so blocked that even when there's no liquid stuck in the ear if I tried gently using a cotton swab to clean excess earwax the cotton would get stuck in the ear. Not anymore I can safely put a cotton swab in my ear to remove earwax and pull it out.
When the ear was too blocked for a cotton swab I used an earwax removal liquid product my doctor recommended for loosening the wax in the ear. I've heard some say its not a good idea anyway to use cotton swabs no matter how careful you are. I'll probably just start using such sprays in my ear to reduce the earwax regularly now even when ear is completely opened.
I don't know how or why when polyps develop it occurs in one nostril instead of another - for me as noted it was the right nostril but have had great relief with this approach. Also to help sleep at night I use a Vicks like solution that can be put in the nose to provide temporary relief to help breathe through your nose.
Also recently to help reduce the chance of nasal infection and clean the insides of my nose I use a nasal saline spray - that is non-medicated but according to the bottle is pediatrician recommended. One can look up on the Internet instructions to make their own home made nasal saline sprays using water and non iodized salt - iodized salt tends to cause more irritation in the nose. The nasal saline spray I have is a sample bottle that was purchased (I don't remember where) so its not a home made solution.
I hope this helps.

Hi I am 50 years old live in london and am contented with my life. Although I am tall I have always been undecided and not clear and y body has followed with a runny nose colds sore throats and coughs.
I agree the candida diet works a treat for nose polyps. I think that candida is an imbalance in my body. The two times I have felt best has been when I have been on herbal treatment from Chinese or Ayurvedic (indian) doctors for over 3 months. This has been relatively cheat £30/month, if you do not take the physical treatments which I cannot afford. In india it is much cheaper just locate a busy ayuveda pharmacy and ask the doctor or pharmacist. Everyone is different so treatments are different.
After 3 months I feel cured but it always comes back after a while this time I am going to keep going till I have finally found a cure/cause of my debility.

Samter's Triad is a salicylate sensitivity. If you avoid not only aspirin etc. but also high-salicylate foods, you may be able to breathe much better. Salicylates in skin-care products may be even worse (wintergreen etc). Alternatively or in addition, you can buy special enzymes to help you digest salicylate-rich foods. Or look up "aspirin de-sensitization".
Best of luck to you, I have nasal polyps too, but not Samter's or I would know how to relieve the problem at least in large part!

I have suffered from polyps for about 20years, I had two operations, the first in 1997 and the second in 2000, I suffer with terrible headaches and zero sense of smell, however no affect on my sense of taste, I do have and have always had a very sweet tooth, I'm not over weight and consider myself quite fit for a 45 year old. From about September 2012 I started having flu like symptoms, these symptoms continued until eventually, my nasal passage on the left hand side, became completely blocked and the right hand side, became partially blocked, in the new year 2013 I noticed that I could feel a lump close to my nostril, a couple of days later it had dropped enough that it was almost showing outside of my nostril, enough was enough, so I visited my GP, my GP prescribed 30mg of a steroid called prednisone, to be taken for 10 days and a nasal drop called flixonase, which was to be taken as and when required, the steroid is very fast acting, within 4 hours it had shrunk up inside of my nose and within 12 hours appeared to be gone altogether, within a further 2 days my sense of smell was back and remained for about a month, which is fantastic when you consider I had spent all these years, with either very little or no sense of smell, plus the head aches, you tend too or at least in my case, live with your condition and just get on with it.
After 2 months of ending the steroid I noticed my eye sight appears to be affected, when something is too close to my eyes it is very blurry, I have always had perfect sight, then at the end of May 2013, we came back from a family holiday to Ibiza and I started developing a nasty cough, it is worse at night and morning time, I went to the doctors and as usual in the UK, they prescribed antibiotics, I still have the coughing fits to this day, back to the doctors and they now feel I have got Asthma symptoms, brought on by polyps, personally I think they are talking crap as they do not take polyps seriously enough, personally I think I'm suffering from side affected brought on by the use of a love or hate steroid, I have an appointment with a specialist 30th August 2013 about my polyps and a Astma test on the 2nd September 2013, so we will wait and see, the problem with the NHS in the UK at the moment is, that everything is geared towards cost, the doctors here will just keep shoveling tablets in to you, in other countries this is not the case, where my wife is from for instance, they diagnose the problem 100% first, before prescribing drugs, my wife as just come back from her country Latvia with my boys and while there she asked a doctor there is advice and he said the best treatment is to have them surgically removed with a laser, you have said about sugar being a cause, is very interesting to me and changing your diet by replacing carbohydrates with protein, I would like to give this a go but to be honest I have not got a clue, on how to go about it, could you or someone out there offer advice, on how best to go about this.

For Sinus Polyps, I suggest using an inhalation steamer bowl (any spare bowl) or facial steamer. Place a few drops of tea tree oil, cinnamon oil, thyme oil and clove oil. You can just add one or two of the suggested oils or all of the oils. Use while you are out and about and don't have time to steam - sinu orega.
Get a food allergen blood test from such places as your medical nutritionist or naturopath. Do an elmination diet. Pick the five top culprits/suspects to start with.
Go on an anti candida diet and also try caprylic acid.
Eat extra virgin hexane free coconut oil. Nilstat liquid for your mouth to gargle and swallow and get nilstat tablets from your doctor. Also try oregano oil or herb tablets. Cook with it it is great with meat. Wonderful herb.
Hope these few suggestions help. Using a salt and bicarbonate soda filled neti pot can help but drain your sinus later and dry it by blowing gently.

For many of us (I being one), elimination or avoidance isn't enough as the disease process and aging can be debilitating. In the severe category one would need to eliminate and avoid sugars (as much as possible)
and become proactive in treatment applications.
For the burning of sugars, take ---B Complex Vit, Minerals such as Vanadium and Chromium in particular, herbs like Cinnamon, Gymnema, Mulberry. ACV is also proved sugar burner. With this combo, positive results would have to be present. Oh, also Alpha Lipoic Acid is good glucose burner.

Hi Brian, Interesting post. I enjoyed reading it. One thing though - I have always been told that eating potatoes, pizza (dough and suace) and drinking beer was about the same thing as eating table sugar. The body metabolizes starches like sugar.
I don't see where you really cut out sugar much if you were eating those things. Maybe eating better over all caused you to lose weight. Perhaps being thinner put less stress on your body, allowing your immune system to work better to get rid of the polyps?
Just a thought.
:-)
Eliminate Sugar
Posted by Brian (Adelaide, South Australia, Australia) on 02/06/2012
Hi Carly, Thank you for your nice comments and also your thoughts. To address the grocery items raised, an average size 200g potato has 3g of sugar (1.5%) and the packaged chips I buy from the freezer section at my supermarket (to heat up in the oven) has less than 1g of sugar per 100g on the label so I will assume even fried chips from a Fish & Chip shop or even McDonalds would be about the same. The pizza I buy which is also from the same supermarket freezer has 4.7g sugar per 100g (or 4.7%, which is under my 5% limit). I have found it impossible to find a sugar content for beer but will run with the thought that although sugar is introduced for fermentation, it gets converted to alcohol, so there is no sugar.
Starches and fats I don't care about (except Trans fats that I really do prefer to avoid). I have targeted sugar as the only food source that feeds the fungus that cause the polyps. The first time I went "no sugar" I was 56kg at the start (and had been diagnosed with a Vitamin D deficiency by my doctor, which was the only problem he could find that I had, so that became part of the jigsaw puzzle that I put together) so I was already thin anyway but had a bad case of polyps. I scarily bottomed out at 52kg before I reintroduced sugar to regain weight and am currently 55kg and the polyps are gone again. A net sum of 1kg loss in weight hasn't destressed my body and eliminated the polyps, it can only be the sugar.

Posted by Brian (Adelaide, South Australia, Australia) on 02/06/2012
Hi Timh, All I can say is the headline that Earth Clinic allocated is a bit misleading. It should have read "Eliminate sugar to eliminate nasal polyps". I am in no way claiming that "no sugar" fixes everything. I had no other medical conditions except for nasal polyps and a Vitamin D deficiency (and a sore foot which I cured myself but that's another story) and the avoidance of sugar all on its own cured my polyps and restored my well being. I did not take any other pills, herbs or supplements along the way. Except I did take apple cider vinegar for about 2 weeks for first time when I went "no sugar" so yeah, maybe that's why I lost too much weight then. But the second time I went no sugar I didn't have any ACV at all (the taste is terrible and I had totally gone off it) and I still cured my polyps but didn't lose any weight. Crikey, Timh, the penny just dropped, sounds like we just discovered the best ever easiest natural way to lose weight (no sugar ACV). Thanks for that.

Brian, some supplement co's make ACV tablets but not many distributers it seems. Swanson has regular and double strength ACV tabs. So don't give up altogether and try and find some ACV tabs down under.
Also worth noting, studies show sugars like high fructose corn syrup not only make triglycerides to be stored as stubborn fat, but also suppress immune function substantially.
As for natural sweeteners ---honey, blackstrap molasses, and stevia are favorites.
Eliminate Sugar
Posted by Brian (Adelaide, S.a., Australia) on 02/08/2012
Hey Timh, Thank you for the info about ACV tablets, I didn't know they existed. I do now believe that ACV does help a person to lose weight when on a sugar reduced diet, as you alluded to in your previous post, but that is not my intent. I am 5'7" and only weigh 55kg and would rather be putting weight on, not off. My only intent was to get rid of Nasal Polyps and I have done that no other medications, potions, lotions nor the dreaded operation, just reduced the sugar and it was a done deed 4 weeks later.
Your comment about "sugar suppresses immune function substantially" supports my theory about feeding the fungus that causes that (via the Thyroid causing Hypothyroidism, which is an underactive Thyroid function, which is whereby the immune function is reduced and also a Vitamin D deficiency both of which I was diagnosed to have had, by my doctor). Thank you for that. Anyone else reading this thinking where is the Thyroid anyway, picture it as a very small double handed grip around your upper wind pipe.
As for natural sweeteners and considering that fungus don't care what type of sugar they are being fed or where it comes from, the weight of an average teaspoonful of table sugar is about 4g, 1 tspn each of honey is 5.7g of sugar in 7g (81% sugar) and molasses is 3.7g of sugar in 6. 7g (55%) both of which are more or less the same as a tspn of table sugar and therefore no reduced sugar benefit whatsoever. Both of those products are definitely over my preferred limit of 5% and absolute limit of 10% sugar content. Artificial sweeteners I avoid like arsenic. Just Google "stevia good or bad" and your head will spin where to look first. If it was good, why is bad even an option. Cheers.

Brian, Thanks for the info on eliminating sugar for nasal polyps. I had come across this the last time I had bad polyps and had completely forgotten when I got this round. This got me looking into it again. In addition to reducing sugar and starving the candida, it seems that you need to increase the Probiotics (lactobacillus acidophilus?) in your system as well. Maybe that's the beer in your diet doing its work. I'd be interested to hear about your foot cure as well. Thanks

Posted by Brian (Adelaide, Sth Aus, Australia) on 02/15/2012
Hi Anjomac. I do think nurturing the good bacteria in the gut is important. I believe they control the fungus in their vicinity, so there are no cavalry left to charge to the nose after the Eosinophils have won their battle and the irritations to the nasal lining stop. Before I formed my theory and after the last round of useless antibiotics that the specialist prescribed, I did have a lot of Organic Yoghurt (12% sugar) that contained acidophilus, bifidus and casei cultures, to help repopulate the bacteria in the gut. I have sworn off Antibiotics ever again, that is definitely a bad move, except of course if they are needed to save my life. Beer is best in moderation (Aussies love a good BBQ - just don't eat the pavlova :) and can only say an occasional social beer doesn't impede the cure and I doubt if it has any bacterial benefit. Reduce sugar to 5% of product though and the curing starts at the exact same moment. Let me know how you go. Give me a month or so too and I will make a post about curing my sore foot, suffice to say the cure will contain the word "barefoot" a lot. Good luck.

But wait, there's one more tip.
3) Vitamin D may well be a critical factor. Good sources are eggs and fish which are definitely on the menu, or there are supplements, but the best source is sunlight, which is free. Vitamin D deficiency can be determined with a simple blood test but regardless of that result, try to get 5 to 10 minutes of direct sunlight on as much of your body as you can without sunscreen lotion (and without offending the neighbours :) about twice a week. (My theory includes Vitamin D boosting the immune system to provide the knock out blow to the fungi.)

To Brian from Adelaide, Australia... You mentioned that the thyroid produces Vitamin D... The human body produces Vitamin D through skin exposure to UVB rays from the sun... The liver and kidneys are involved with the conversion... the thyroid isn't involved with the conversion process within the body.

Last year I was gluten/dairy free for 5 months and while my congestion was less I still never got my sense of smell back. So gradually I reintroduced gluten and my symptoms (runny nose, sneezing, etc. ) returned.
I decided to try again with gluten/dairy free and this time I also eliminated sugar. It's been 4 weeks and again symptoms are better but still no sense of smell.
Are everyone else's polyps in their nose? Mine are not, they are higher up in my sinuses. (I have always been able to breathe through my nose) I wonder if nasal polyp location makes a difference?
Also, if you have eaten anything with sugar do the polyps immediately return, or can you "cheat" on occasion and still be okay?
I plan to continue this diet through the summer and hope for the best. Would love to hear more feedback from those of you who have been successful with eliminating sugar.

Jannette, the lower the polyps hang the longer the cure time, is all. Lower polyps would mean a greater level of infection. So to have high polyps but with symptoms means you are doing most things right but not quite there. Gluten and high carbs are married (any type of flour product delivers both). Forget the gluten, just read the carbs level on the package and stay under 10% of product. Which means bread won't qualify but you can cheat on that one if you offset with low carb toppings (bacon & eggs on toast, for example). Dairy products, milk and cream seem fine, just go easy on cheese and only eat unflavoured yoghurt. All of these can be found under 10% carbs.
Apart from cheating by offset, I would urge no other cheating until you are nose breathing 100% of the time, especially sleep time. Cheating just throws the yeast infection a sugar coated life jacket to hang on longer. Then when feeling confident, gradually reintroduce slightly higher carbs and some cheat times, but be prepared to back off immediately if any symptoms recur and try again later. Good luck and would love to hear that you can smell the roses again before the Summer is over.

Thanks Brian for your input/insight. I have eliminated all carbs, dairy, and sugar (I think). My diet mainly consists of eggs, leafy greens, protein, beans and some vegetables and brown rice. I only drink green/herbal teas and water.
I will stay the course and hope to get my sense of smell back soon-I will let you know when it does!

Hi Janette. Thanks for listing your main diet items so I can help you. It's actually a good diet for a polyps cure and explains why you have "higher up" polyps but the one item stopping your final cure is the brown rice it's about 23% carbs of product which translated, means every 4th spoonful is akin to a spoonful of pure sugar. Please, read the carbs level on the label. Also, I really do encourage reintroducing dairy. The yeast infection lowers Vitamin D levels. Vitamin D is necessary to not only improve the immune system to finally eliminate the yeast and therefore the polyps but is also vital for calcium absorption. Calcium is needed for healthy bones and dairy products are a great source of calcium. Please, do not put yourself at risk of developing osteoporosis too.

Hi Doeboymcjc. I've never bothered with potions and lotions. I truly believe the cause is a yeast infection and the only way to eradicate the yeast is to stop feeding them sugar, which means reducing carbohydrates in your diet. I now call it my 10% Plan. I am also starting to think that us polyp sufferers have a direct metabolic link to our Paleo ancestry and that we are not meant to consume carbohydrates. I am so convinced that my theory works that if you, or anyone else for that matter, would like my help to achieve the 10% Plan that you "brianb2@" (email me) "chariot(dot)net(dot)au" with reference to Earth Clinic in the subject line to avoid unread deletion. My advice is absolutely free and it takes about one month to achieve a truly remarkable and virtually miraculous cure. I do stress however, that one must be prepared to reduce consuming sugar so as not to waste my time. Cheers : )

Hi, just an update from my last post, Sunday 19th August 2012: on 23rd August I stopped using the TTO as it made my nose completely blocked and would run for about 2 hours after use. I am not going to do this again, EVER. Sorry to those who swear by it. For me it is a waste of time as it feels like i'm going backwards.
I am still on my no sugar diet but have reintroduced carbs as I realised that I was becoming so weak that I could not think properly. I am on my forth week of the no sugar diet and still no results. I DID however get my smell back for about 2 hours in the evening on Saturday 1st September and it was sensational! But it went as soon as it came, pretty much. I am using my Micromist still three times daily. No sugar is a killer as I crave sweet things but I guess it's healthier and good for my teeth. So when my dentist asks me how I got such amazing teeth my answer will be "polyps" ;)
If this diet does not work after 1 month then i'm going to try something called 'Sinus Wars 13'. It's supposed to be a cure at about £70 a bottle. It's not a natural cure like the no sugar diet, but i'm desperate. I hate this condition.
I will keep y'all posted. Thanks.
Peace!

Hi, just an update. I am on week 5 of my no sugar diet and still no changes. I cannot smell and my nose is still blocked up therefore I still have orange mucous.
After reading the posts on this forum I understand the problems that arise with yeast and carbs but with my job (winter sports salesperson and photographer) and my love of sports it will be almost impossible to eliminate sugar, carbs and yeast from my diet. Sugar is enough! I am going to buy a product called ______. This is supposed to irradicate all polyps and the reviews look great from people who have tried it.
Brian - thanks for the help with your posts. I have now lost about a stone with the no sugar diet ;)
I will keep you posted with any results with ____. Its not a natural cure but I'm fed up.

Hi Doeboymcjc, I know both my husband and my oldest daughter found it is the elimination of both sugar AND dairy which gave them the results they wanted. They both know to stay away from dairy especially and when they give in to it, the results are immediate! Mucus, olfactory issues, swelling of the throat, itching ears and more. Enough to make them ask themselves, Is it worth it?! Sometimes they do it anyway... I always wonder why?! Lisa

Hi Dave. Your intent was excellent and I thank you for that, but I think you responded to a misleading heading not of my choosing that appeared in Real-Time Posts. Please understand my sense of smell is totally functional and it was all due to the Elimination of Sugar that did in fact restore it. Also, as well as nasal polyps, every other health issue I acquired from a high carb diet has been eliminated since adopting a 10% Low Carb Lifestyle. I don't take chemical treatments of any sort, which empowers my body chemistry to do its natural job, which further eliminates the need for treatments. It's simple but it works. Cheers.

Congratulations, Tanveer. I know going Low Carbs is not an easy decision to make, but as well as beating the polyps, please also take comfort in the many other health benefits you now possess. Such as, vastly reduced risks of obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack and possibly even cancer, to name a few. The longer sugar is reduced the easier it gets to resist it and then find ways to reduce it even more. I agree the more you exercise the higher your sugar tolerance will be, which is why you are getting away with the fruit and protein shakes. If you ever stop exercising though, please ensure you make the necessary adjustments. I hadn't thought of the body odour benefit before, suffice to say, all I do to avoid scented aluminium based expensive commercial deodorants, is make a cheap chemical free mix of 2 level teaspoons of bicarbonate soda per 100ml of aloe vera juice in a spray bottle. It doesn't stop sweating, which is a natural body function that shouldn't be stopped anyway, but it sure does stop odour. Cheers.

Hello Brian,
I just stubble on the Earth Clinic site and read your threads. I was very excited about the recommendation you provided because I am a polyp and asthma suffer. I'm looking for some permanent relief. One year ago I started the process of cleaning up my diet and eliminated table sugar, along with most dairy products. I had stop eating red meat more than 14 years ago. My diet consist mostly of fruits, nutra-bullet smoothies, turkey and fish.
In addition, I lost my sense of smell and taste about 11 years now.
About two weeks ago when I found the Earth Clinic site, I tried one of the recommendations, the tea tree oil. As a result, I am able to sleep well, stop snoring and breathe through my nose for the first time by not using oral steroids. Also, after three days of using the tea tree oil, diluted with water, I sniffed inward and felt something roll to the back of my throat..I think it was a polyp??during my physical last year my doctor had said I had a large polyp higher up in my sinus??Unfortunately, I'm still not able to smell or taste.
What else can you recommend that would help me regain my smell and taste?
I await your reply. Many Thanks, Troy

Troy, do your research on Nigella Sativa (Black Seed Oil). I take a teaspoon once in am and once at night to help reduce inflammation for asthma. I just about have this asthma licked (former Advair user). I don't have polyps but the black seed oil may have a stabilizing effect on your body chemistry hence, improve taste and smell. Perhaps do some reading my Michael Smith, MD on this topic. Just google his name. All the best.

I blend a lot of fruit. So did you really eliminate all sweet fruit in your diet? I also heard gluten/dairy causes polyps insome people. I wonder if that's because most dairy comes from cows with bovine growth hormones (causing lactose intolerance?) Unless the wheat is organic, it is GMO wheat. I wonder if that's the reason people get gluten allergies...

Posted by Brian (Sth Aus) on 06/10/2015
Hi Derrick. Yes, I eliminated all sweet fruits, especially bananas, pears and apples. Even today I only consumed fruits with less than 10% carbs by content. That's regardless my nasal polyps disappearing several years ago and have never returned since. The replacement fruits I found have far better nutrition values and offer a greater and healthier variety to choose from.
You are on the right track with the gluten connection, which I hereby formally add to the opening theory, as being the absolute starting point for developing polyps. Dairy intolerance and food allergies are more likely a side effect from the damage caused by gluten. Only buy meat from a reputable butcher who procures product from pasture raised sources. Avoid wheat, barley, rye and all cereal, flour, pastry and pasta products therefrom, whether or not they are organic or GMO. They are all above the 10% carbs limit protocol anyway.

Marie, both antibiotics and prednisone have no effect on polyps and can actually worsen the condition and cause even more ill health, then surgery is offered for, at best, temporary relief for a few months. The invitation in my post dated 08/25/2012 still stands, it just needs a little deciphering.

Sugar fits the proper definition of a schedule one drug. Think about it. Does great harm, extremely addictive (if you don't think so just try eliminating it completely from your diet if that is even possible?), has no medicinal value (please do not include baby laxatives or getting baby to drink more water because that is a certain method of addicting babies and children and yes even if used sparingly and better methods should be employed). Does that about cover it?

Hi Brian, I have had nasal polyps for 12 years have had surgery 2 times and refuse to have it again. My polyps come back so quickly. I've done allergy shots, accupunture, nasal rinses, gone gluten free (don't think I stuck with it long enough), tea tree oil etc. I have a sweet tooth and candy is my weakness. Over this past year my nose has gotten so bad that I am miserable. My doctors keep telling me I have 3 options- 1-do nothing 2-steriods and antibiotics or 3- surgery. In the past I have continued to choose option #2. But like you have said it does not cure them. So once I finish the course of steriods I am back to being completely stuffed up. So here I am and I am ready to stop and to cut sugar out of my diet. I want to feel better! I am so thankful that you have shared your experiences and will keep you posted on my progress.

I've suffered with this for soooo long. The word suffer actually does not describe how awful it's been. I have the worst sweet tooth so it's going to be super difficult but it actually makes 100% sense. I've tested positive for mould allergy which I believe is all linked.
I am unable to breathe at all through my nose, I have visible polyps in each nostril and awful pressure in my sinuses, my ears are always blocked and I have had no sense of smell or taste for more years than I care to remember. It's truly miserable and embarrassing!
I'm doing this TODAY!

Helminthic Therapy
Recurring nasal polyps are very debilitating. I have reversed them without surgery, I can smell so well now that shampoo can give me a headache.. I can smell soap.. I can properly taste food.. And I feel generally great. This was my method.
I am a 30 yo Australian male. I have lifelong asthma/allergies and ibs/polyps for almost 10 years. I have dustmite, shellfish, milk, dog allergies. I believe this life/medication has also led to some poor mental/energy levels.
I have been a lifelong user of ventolin/steroids, and have tried butekyo method, linklater/yoga breathing, dustmite desensitisation, giving up milk, giving up meat, staying indoors, travelling, airpurifiers, vitamin d (only 1000mg/day).
I had 7 bursts of prednisone last year.. And a bunch of other stuff along with surgery to remove polyps from all my antrums. However, the polyps quickly came back.. And nothing stopped them. I was soon twice daily rinsing with 2xNasonex up each nostril twice a day. Didn't work. I was then going against regulations (but on doctors orders) by squirting pure budesinode respules into my cavity's to hold them at bay.. Didn't work. It seemed only 25mg prednisone would hold them at bay, and only temporarily. I decided my life was doomed to misery.. misery I won't go into in case you are eating food.
When I heard about helminthic therapy I thought 'what bollicks! ' but I researched it for 7 months before believing there was a chance it may help (despite there being no published case of the therapy helping polyps).
In early June, I applied 35 hookworm to my body.
Within two months, my smell had come back a little. My surgeon had done an MRI scan and expected me to present in misery.. But I was fine. I cancelled myself from surgery (which is -free- in my country). But my symptoms returned, so I panicked and booked in the surgeon again. But soon I could smell even better than before!
After that first two months I even reduced my medication down to one spray of budemax in each nostril twice a day, along with a rinse. (Many days I've have only done the medication/rinse once, or not at all.. due to travel).
My smell started to go again, so I gave up milk since I have a slight allergy to it (this made my eyes really white). My smell came back very strong.. I can smell the aussie spring right outside my window. I can feel my nasal rinsing making it's way deep into my sinuses. I am about to cancel my final appointment with my surgeon.
IBS no longer causes discomfort. My asmtha/allergies are reduced, I've cut my seretide dose in half, I don't feel hyper-responsive to the elements anymore.
The hookwork haven't technically cured me, the disease is still there. But I think they've altered my immune system so I'm less hyper-responsive and therefore I'm less inflammatory. Thefore, they allow my medications to work much better, and allows my stomach to dissolve important nutrients better in the absence of ibs symptoms. I can also exercise more effectively (or at all).
Also, in my laymen understanding, nasal polps have an enzyme called chitinase present, which is something our body only uses to destroy helminths/hookworm which are made of chitin. But because we don't have hookworm anymore, our body seeks chitin protein elsewhere.. Such as dustmites, fungi, shellfish etc etc. My theory is: your immune system attacks the helminths, the helminths release an enzyme to reduce the presence of chitinase, or otherwise calm the immune system, therefore reducing the ability for nasal polyps to form (see this link for further info: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21711963)
Anyway, I've sent in a further 45 hookworm which will mature in another month or so. I plan to eventually have about 100 depending upon advice.
I think the real test will be how I feel, say, 4 months after my final dose. I'm confident I'll only get better and in which case I'll go public with a video or some such thing.
Going to get back to smelling the roses.
Tim
(p.s. I've been spreading this message in some nasal polyp forums.. Such as on the open yahoo forum for helminthic therapy, if you'd like to google for that)

After reading threads about bloodroot I decided to give it a shot. I had just run a course of steroids for my nasal polyps, so having a clean slate, was a great time. For the last week I have been using the following concoction in my neti pot: 1/2tsp salt, 12 drops of bloodroot tincture, filled to 3/4 with the hottest tap water, then topped off with H2O2.
I have been using this once a day, and my sinuses just don't appear to be producing a fraction of the mucus. I am unsure if it is to drying, but drying of any sort is a vast improvement.

Just a follow up:
The sinus rinse with the neti pot has been doing it's part. I went to a homeopathic web site, and put nasal polyp into the search box. It brought up three homeopathics for control of nasal polyps. I ordered them and have been taking them for over a month now. My sinus creates half of the mucus it would otherwise, and I can always clear it out at the beginning of the day.

I feel like I just hit the jackpot with this website. I am at my breaking point with allergies and sinus problems. I had sinus surgery in april 2010 - for a few months, things were great. I started allergy shots in June 2010. Since April '10, I've had about 5 infections, for which I take an antibiotic/steroid mix. this is WAY better than the 1 infection every 6 weeks I was getting prior to surgery. but I am still stuffed up 90% of the time... The allergy shots haven't done anything so far. I am still taking allergy pills every night, and even use afrin when I just can't take it anymore.
I started bikram yoga in jan. '11. I believe this has helped tremendously. Being in the heated room really opens up your nasal passages but obviously we can't be in a 105 degree room 24 hours a day. I dust like a crazy person. I wash my sheets at least 2x a week... What really sucks is that if I take a sip of alcohol, my nose immediately closes up (and I love wine!! )
I thought about asking my Dr. about the interpolyp steroid injections, but I just don't want to put any of that stuff in my body any more!! My husband and I are planning to start a family soon, so I want to have all that junk out of me before that happens.
I am going to try some of these home remedies and I PRAY that something will work!!! I refuse to get surgery again, as it was obviously not a solution.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR TIPS AND ADVICE!!!! I'll let you know how it goes... :)

I just had in the last two weeks two polyps on their own coming out of my nose. Both were large and nasty, one more orange with blood traces in it with more irregular shape and the other more yellow with the shape of plum or peach kernel. The thing is I didn´t even know I had them! I went thru all sort of specialists in my shitty country and they were all giving me all sorts of corticoseroids to heal my problems, and my reactions to it were even worse then when not using all these pumps, antihisaminics and other drugs. Normaly my right nostril was for I don´t know for how many years now completely stuck and I thought it was due to my septum deviation. What happened really. I could not take any more nosedrops (oksimetazolinclorid) cause they started interfiering with my heart. This was a very serious thing and I had to find some other solution for my nose. I got a flu three weeks ago and I normaly could not breathe anymore. What I did is I took mint oil and I was applying it on my forehead (sinus frontalis ) and under my nostrils for lets say three times a day, and I also applied them a bit long the middle of my nose and between my eyes and under my eyes (trying to cover sinus maxillaris). Of course in this case, I would have eyes closed and waited for some time untill the drops wear of.
So people mint oil! MINT OIL! Since yesterday since the second one came out I can acctually breath like I can not remember when was the last time I was breathing like that. I have to say I was also doing some pranayama exercises, trying to breath strong thru both of my nostrils... So I was now completely shocked, first of all I had no idea I had these monsters inside and second of all I can not belive my nose is finally free, and it doesn´t look so swollen any more, and I am happy these things are not inside anymore. So I recomend mint oil.! Be patient. but after one week make a little pause so that the skin can regenerate
p.s. my forehead skin I must say was a bit peeling after a few days but it helped!

Put 2 teaspoons of Apple Cider Vinegar in a large coffee cup, along with water. Heat until it steams, then inhale the steam. Clears up sinus problems, but I don't know about polyps.
You can also put 2 tsps of ACV in hot tea and drink it. Tastes a bit like what lemon would taste like but instead it has apple flavor. I do not recommend ACV from the grocery store because it has been filtered. Buy the ACV from a health food store that has the "mother" in it (non filtered). I use store bought ACV (filtered) for hair rinse and rashes. Stings lightly at first, but then fades quickly and no itch afterwards. Great for dogs too, since fleas hate ACV.
Anyway..try the steam with ACV and inhaling, but be careful to not make it too hot so you burn yourself.

Hi Daniel,
I, like you have had 4 operations to remove nasal polyps and each time they return. I also suffer from asthma. After my last op 3 years ago I under went an Asprin desensitisation program and I'm currently taking 300mg of Asprin daily. The polyps have returned, but nearly as bad as before, however my sense of smell has gone. I would like to try the castor oil, but was curious as to how it went for you? Vivienne

I submitted a post in the last 24 hours regarding the use of vaporized PEG in an amazing reduction of nasal polyps. I then did some research, and found this interesting, and wondered if it may be related to my findings:
Polyethylene glycol inhibits intestinal neoplasia and induces epithelial apoptosis.
Supplementation of Apc(min) mice with 10% PEG 3350 (in drinking water) resulted in a 48% (P<0.05) reduction in intestinal tumor burden and induced 2-3 fold increase in mucosal apoptosis.
Dietary supplementation of polyethylene glycol (5%) also stimulated colonic mucosal apoptosis 4-5 fold in AOM-treated rats, the regimen that we previously reported to reduce tumor burden by 76% (P<0.05).
In summary, we demonstrate, for the first time, that PEG does protect against Apc(min) mouse tumorigenesis. The correlation between pro-apoptotic actions and chemopreventive efficacy of PEG in these models strongly implicates induction of apoptosis as one of the impending mechanisms of chemoprevention.

I am also a nasal polyp sufferer and glad to have come across this site. I have tried the saline nasal wash with apple cider and even diluted apple cider on cotton bud directly applied to the nasal cavity but these hasn't helped much. One thing I notice though is that drinking chlorinated even filtered water seems to make it worse of course dairy products have a similar effect. So one advice I can give you guys is to avoid chlorinated water better distilled or spring water. I will also try this tea tree oil and hope to keep you posted on how I get on.

Vitamin C, Grape Seed Extract

These nasal polyps are indeed pernicious. Horseradish did nothing for me. The polyps seemed to really make themselves known when I had a filled wisdom tooth break in two a couple of years ago. The dentist wanted to pull it, but I thought I just had a sinus infection with total blockage, so we agreed to wait til I had it cleared up before pulling the tooth. If my polyps clear up after I have the decayed tooth pulled, I will think that they are related. For now I am on steroid spray, which does shrink them a lot, high vitamin C, and trying to avoid dust and food toxins. Has anyone seen a relationship between a bad tooth and polyps? There must be a connection!

I have just had ( 3 weeks ago) to have two upper teeth removed as one was cracked in half and the other had a failed root canal and both teeth were very decayed and were causing abscesses and I had little spots above the teeth that were filled with puss. Since having them removed I have noticed my polyp has disappeared. I also recently had a lot of orange watery liquid coming out of my nose and I felt that my polyp had popped but after reading your comment it might have been connected to my decaying teeth.

Eliminate Yeast From Diet

Strangely enough, eventhough the cause of my polyps were dust mite allergy, with an ongoing 'clean' diet i found that it was effective at reducing my polyps. i dont think the positive results in my case was from cutting out yeast though.

i've realised that too, for me, i think its getting rid of dairy products that is causing the reduction in polyps. i think its related to mucus or something. but i also found that its immensely difficult to keep up the clean diet regime. once you eat something 'wrong', the polyps fire up again.

One of the main frustrations of having nasal polyps for years, (and trying about every conventional and wholistic remedy known) is that despite countless internet searches for information, nobody seemed to know what causes them. It turns out that, although allergies, crud in the air etc may aggravate them, the real, specific cause is now known: VEGF, or Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor. Look up an article on the Science Daily website called "Researchers Track Down Protein Responsible for Chronic Rhinosinusitis With Polyps". Now, VEGF (in too large amounts) enables the growth of blood vessels which in turn enable the polyps to grow.
The good news is that whereas there are drugs (complete with a range of likely side-effects) to inhibit VEGF, there are scientifically known and accepted lists of foods (and some herbs and supplements) which work as well or better, minus the side-effects. Do a search for "Dr. William Li's list of naturally anti-angiogenic foods". Also, go to PubMed and do a search for "Herbs that specifically inhibit vascular endothelial growth factor and have direct activity against angiogenesis".
I am very hopeful now of slow but steady progress toward being rid of these pesky polyps. If results take months, so what?
Meanwhile, I am going to enjoy some green tea, dark chocolate, red wine, and a bunch of delicious and healthy fruits and vegetables - especially in "green smoothies".
I will update you on any significant improvements in my condition (and the polyps have been _bad_ in recent months).

WOW!!! I just prayed about finally finding an answer to my long battle with severe nasal polyps is the hope of avoiding another nasal surgery. My chronic asthma and allergies are no walk in the park either. Currently my right nostril has a huge polyp completely obstructing it and descending to the entrance (lovely! ), at least the left one is partially open still. Had a great day packing it off and on with 50/50 water/hydrogen peroxide plus tea tree oil to get some relief and shrinkage. The good news is, yes it truly does work, it also stings and hurts a fair bit but it is, for me at least, a way to avoid surgery, time off and the $$$ that always entails. I will be looking up the good Dr. Li's anti-angiogenic foods too. The prospect of chocolate and green tea beats the bitter herbs I've been scarfing like candy today! Thank you for the great new information! May God Bless you for so graciously sharing this news with all of us!

Get a food allergy test. I had 2 sinus surgeries for polyps and get fed up with my ENT who told me there was nothing I could do. I saw a holistic doctor, got a food allergy test, and when I eliminated the foods I was allergic to (wheat & dairy - common allergens), my sinus problems totally disappeared!

I bought a nasal irrigator years ago and it helped me avoid a sinus surgery on my polyps. The attachment goes right onto your waterpik and the water pulses at the same rate as the non-functioning cilia in your sinuses. A little salt water/baking soda mix and it actually is refreshing. Try it! I still use it when I get flare ups and it gets all the "gunk" out of there!

Hi Laura,
Thanks for your post!
(I am a sinus sufferer also, with a polyp in the right nostril)
Your comments and suggestions, complete dietary changes, make sense! Every time I go on a fast, I feel significant relief in my sinuses (not to mention overall health). But no sooner I begin eating than I start to feel the congestion all over again. Other times when I eat light and restrict myself to wholesome and light diet (and avoiding diary, wheat, pasta, etc.) I feel OK too. Which leads me to believe there is a digestion and food assimilation (or lack thereof) component to sinus conditions. That is, the type and amount of food matter.
I think the trick might be in implementing the long term lifestyle changes - which most us may not have the courage to try. The obvious and discouraging part is that when we experience adverse results initially it is possible to scrap the whole idea.
Laura, in any case, I appreciate it if you could list some of the typical vegan diet you follow? How often do you water fast and when do you consume vegetables and fruits? I imagine one would intake water all the time. (A typical recipe would be nice to have.)
Thank you.

I am trying to deal with my monster extruding nasal polyps with anti-inflamatory compounds like turmeric, mega-vitamins, horseradish, Chinese herbs and green tea. So far not much luck. I am just glad to know that my problems are indeed polyps; after living in a moldy house 20 years ago my sinuses have been blocked ever since; now polyps protrude from my nose but at least I know what the deal is.
Acupuncture helped a bit, but they did not know about polyps as such, and the herbal pills they gave me have little effect; covered in red dye and sugar, I soak that stuff off before I take the pills.
A juice fast seems to be the next logical step in allowing the body to break down this excess tissue.

I am suffering from bilateral Nasal Polypus for last 14-15 years. I am taking Homeopathic treatment from a doctor locally. Once it happened that one of the doctors prescribed Lycopodium and as a result the ring worms errupted throughout the body with red rings and itching. By the regular treatment the ringworms have been cured. The nasal polypus generally inflates when i get directly in touch with air i.e. fan, cooler or while travelling. It also occurs when I go open headed during night specially when it is somewhat cool and there is some moisture i.e. fog/dew. The present doctor prescribed 'Silicea 200 / 1M along with some other medicines. It get cured for 3-4 months. It again occurs when there is weather change or get in touch with air. Added to it as an other effect I have got lichen (Exema) got eriupted on left leg just near the ankle.

Hi, after reading your post, i went out to buy h202, only to realise it is not something that is easily found in Australian pharmacies. thus i ordered a bottle of h2o2 capsules (food grade), the type where there is white powder inside the clear capsules. anyway, for a weeks i opened the capsule, poured out the powder, and cotton swapped it onto my polyps. and immediately i felt a tingling sensation. after waiting approx 30mins i found that it was incredibly easier to breathe, and the polyps shrank. but i find that the process needs to be repeated 3-4 times a day, whereby the more frequently it is applied (above 3/4 times), the less effective it becomes. i also tried snorting a bit of the powder in attempt to make it 'reach' the deeper tissues, but there was no effect.
i have a question, as to how much h202 should one apply? and is an overdose detrimental? ie will it damage the tissue?
thanks if anyone could reply.

Jonathan from Melbourne, Australia: I'm delighted to hear the h2o2 is helping you. I have never heard of the stuff coming in capsules, but the effects sound similar. I don't know about dosage, as I said above I am merely dipping a cotton swab in the (liquid) hydrogen peroxide 3 times daily and swabbing the polyps. I am no expert on the stuff, and can only say that the post I found on curezone said "Going on 2 years now...the hydrogen peroxide -though it burned- never damaged the skin in my nostrils...". So far I personally have experienced no ill effects. We are all our own guinea pigs here with folk remedies, what you do is up to you - and yet it was long-term use of prescription corticosteroid nasal spray that gave me nosebleeds. So far I am pleased. If I develop any problems I will let you know. Good luck, and I appreciate all feedback, we can all learn from each other.

I hope you are all keeping in mind the h2o2 I read about is 3%. Do NOT even think of using, for example, the 35% food grade product mentioned here, that stuff unless greatly diluted will burn even tough skin, let alone delicate nasal mucosa. Prompted by Jonathon L.'s question re deleterious effects, I have tried searching for more info...much of it is too technical for me. I did see some implying h2o2 possibly causing eye irritation. I merely swab the polyps, which seems like it might have less risk of the stuff getting up into the eyes via the tear ducts than squirting it in the nose and sniffing. I would greatly welcome any further info about safety of this approach.

Kieran,
Hello! I have been suffering from nasal polyps going on 4 years. I've tried allergy shots, I do nasal flush, steriods, anti-biotics (numerous times)...if someone told me to stand in my head and eat peanut butter I would try. Its so frustrating and depressing! I've seen 3 specialist and 2 have left the office I go so i've had to keep staring over with a new Dr. I now have no insurance and sprays and meds are too expensive (even tho they don't do anything). The only thing that has worked it steriods and anti-biotics at they same time but then my smell goes away once i'm off the combination. Its so frustrating!!! When I go to friends house most people bring a bottle of wine, I bring a box of tissues. I am used to it now but people always ask if I'm sick. I used to be so shy about blowing my nose because it's so un-attractive but now it just has to be done. It's so gross but what can I do? I've single handedly wiped out a small forest. I just hate it! My last Dr said just keep up what you've been doing and see you in 6 months. What?!? Suffering? But anyways...i am very excited to try this! i hope it will help! Thank you for the advice! I hope your nose is treating you well. Not being able to smell it terrible!!! i don't know if I smell! So I apologize to everyone if I do! Thanks!

Hi Jonathon,
I had sinus surgery last year April - it took 6 weeks to heal and for a few months my sinuses were clear. Then I started having trouble again and a few months ago my sense of smell disappeared.
I have started nasal irrigation with a solution of 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp bicarb and 1/4 tsp Hydrogen peroxide in a glass of water.( Use a bit of boiling water to dissolve the salt and bicarb)
This seems to be working very well - if I use more peroxide it burns - you will have to test how much you can take, but according to my research it is 1%.

★★★☆☆WORKED TEMPORARILY
Although h2o2 gave dramatic results at first, they didn't last, in my case. (Maybe for others it might be different...or not? I don't know) Since then, with the polyps very bad again, in desperation I used a corticosteroid nasal spray for a while (ask for the generic one, much more reasonably priced than the competition). This relieved the symptoms a bit. I also took a non-drowsy 24-hour antihistamine for a while. Then I added a homemade nasal wash - a nasal spray bottle of water, a small pinch of salt, another of baking soda, 2 drops of grapefruit seed extract, and a pinch of xylitol. This was fairly helpful. Since then I tried taking something called "No-Fenol" along with a low phenol and low salicylate diet - to no effect.
In the long run I have found just 2 things that make a major difference for me: I have to completely avoid eating chicken eggs, and likewise no cows' milk or cheese, no lactose. Duck eggs seem to be fine. Goat milk seems to be fine. Whey from cow milk I think is ok. Butter is fine. With this approach the polyps have shrunk quite a bit. I breathe partly through my nose at long last once again, and my sense of smell is back! I found which foods to avoid by trying periods of time avoiding them and then not, repeatedly. Incidentally, the lactose in an enzyme supplement not only made my sinuses worse, but gave me a headache and general aches and pains too, along with bad dreams, negative thoughts, and irritability.
Best of luck to you all, keep trying, find your triggers and avoid them and you can and will get much better.

Hi, I am living in london and I am 49 years old. I have been suffering from nasal polyps for 10 years but have had a runny nose since I was a child. I have always thought that I have a low or bad immune system. I have not tried surgery as there is a high chance of reoccurrence. I have gotten some relief from using honey a drop in each nostril once or twice a day(I have not tried manuka honey) topographically (aplied with my fingertips). Also Cephagraine Drops two drops once or twice a day helps a lot. Chinese herbs helped a lot but I did not take it for long enough.
In the last 2 months I have been using hydrogen peroxide of 3% internally starting with 3 drops and going up to 10 to 15 drops per day in boiled water. Because of healing crisis I have taken it on and off, and some days I have just forgotten to take it. My nose is now clear and I need to carry on for about 2 more months (three months is sugessted) in Healing with whole foods.... Paul Pitchford. From what I have read H Peroxide rather than a cure it is a natural imunity booster. Please read for more guidelines and other uses.
There are books also and loads of info on the internet.
For more guidelines and other uses. It is great for the skin. Read about side effects it is important and it is better to get the food grade(amazon ebay ect. ) and dilute if necessary with ditilled/purified water.
I think the way forward is to do this and then try to stick to a diet which keeps me healthy.
In Ayurvedic medicine they recommend the following CEPHAGRAINE drops recomend these things. (I find it very hard to keep to the diet) but it keeps the polyps from growing.
Early to bed is very useful.
1) Consumption of turmeric, garlic, ginger and black pepper is recommended for these patients.
2) Prefer bland diet
Dont 's
1) Avoid fried and spicy food recipes.
2) Avoid food items, which cause indigestion and constipation.
3) Avoid exposure to excessive heat, cold and rain.
4) Avoid daytime sleeping and spending sleepless night.
5) Avoid curd, bananas and dried things. (Sinusitis)
6) Avoid drinking cold water and ice cream. (Sinusitis)
7) Avoid exposure to rain, excessive cold wind, smoke and dust. (Sinusitis)
