I'm an athlete with mild but chronic tendentious in both of my achilles tendons. I've been self-treating them for about a year after dumping thousands of dollars into doctor prescribed physical therapy and prescription topical anti-inflammatory medications. So far my results have been just as good or better that the doctor prescribed therapy.

After seeing these posts on using alfalfa supplements I decided to try it myself. Amazingly the pain and soreness was significantly reduced by taking 18 supplements a day (9 supplements, 3 times a day). With that success I started to consider other, fresh sources of alfalfa that might work even better. Since I already sprout seeds on a semi-regular basis I decided to try sprouting alfalfa. Turns out that fresh sprouts are even more effective than the dried supplements! I've been eating a large hand-full of sprouts 3 times a day on top of stretching and rolling and have been virtually pain-free! Thank you so much for the advice on this website!

The alfalfa has worked for me too. I have tendonitis in my knee (goosehead) and read on here about the use of alfalfa to reduce inflamation. I'm taking 24 caps a day divided into four doses for the last three days and today the pain is reduced. I will continue with this dose for another week and then taper down. I am also taking apple cider vinegar and doing stretching exercises I learned at physical therapy.

Thanks for your post Kathy. I had been taking the minimum required Alfalfa tablets for about two weeks and didn't feel any improvement with my arthritis and tendonitis. After reading your post I took 18 tablets today and actually have felt a vast improvement with my pain already!

Alfalfa cured my tendonitis: I took 24 tablets a day, 8 at each meal for 2 weeks then tapered off to about 10 or so a day. I took the heavy dose for 2 weeks to saturate my body then I took 10 a day for about a year. It's been 10 years and I usually have no pain or swelling. If I type alot or write alot I do have some discomfort but nothing like before!

As a side note I had some testing done and was told that I now have carpal tunnel in both arms but I had no idea because I have no pain!
