Coconut Oil

Hi everyone, I'm enjoying reading everyone's posts and I would really like to continue using virgin coconut oil as I did in the UK but I have recently moved to Jeddah and I haven't been able to find any yet. The only coconut oil I can find in the supermarkets is Parachute oil which smells like coffee and I would prefer not to eat it, I'm using it on my skin as body oil as I can't find any thing else but it really isnt very pleasant. Please can anyone help me find a local supply of virgin oil. Many thanks

Hi Kofi... Ghana is in Tropical Africa so it is highly likely that Chanca Piedra grows there. CP can probably be found growing as a profific weed all over the lowlands. Such is the case with the Philippines -- also a tropical country. CP is only about a meter high or less and it has one unique feature which distinguishes it from all other plants -- the flowers and seeds of CP grow along and under the leaf petiole or leaf stem -- this is why CP is also called Seed-Under-Leaf. And if it also grows in Ghana like a weed then you can get it for free. Use the plant in a decoction or as a healing tea.

We came across the posts about hibiscus tea and decided to try using hibiscus. It has been a godsend. Thank you to all who have posted about it. Individuals have asked about a source of hibiscus for tea. We found that davidsonstea.com (Davidson's Organics) sells hibiscus (whole flowers as well as cut and sifted like loose tea) and hibiscus blended with other herbs. They are available in one pound (454 g) bags and as tea bags. The products are also available at amazon.com. There are probably other sites that sell the products as well. Does anyone know where I can purchase 90% DMSO solution in a bottle in Canada?

Background:

I have a severe fungal infection on my chin and neck that has spread to my scalp. Over the past year I've tried ACV, Iodine, Tea Tree, Garlic paste etc. Nothing natural has worked.

My primary doctor here in Canada first prescribed Lamicil, then Lamicil tablets. This combination slowed the fungal growth but did not eliminate the fungus on my chin. I am now waiting for an appointment with a dermatology specialist which is another 5 months wait. In the meantime I read somewhere applying Nizarol shampoo worked for some individuals and this is also working for me. I apply the shampoo with 2% Ketoconazole directly to the affected areas in the morning and do not wash off until bed time.

The problem with using the shampoo is it dries out the skin and after application, in about 3 days, my skin visibly scales and begins to shed. This appearance is disconcerting and is a concern since I work with clients. I read somewhere someone using Lamisil cream mixed with DMSO applied directly to infected area has worked for them and I want to try that. Using the DMSO as a carrier for Lamisil may be as effective as the Nizarol without the dryness, scaling and peeling.

From reading various posts, I see the trouble with finding humic acid. I had the same problem so I can relate. I found 100% humic acid from BioAg. It is in liquid form but it is also from a reliable source. I have ulcerative colitis and, like everyone else, am desperate for a cure. I purchased the humic acid as a part of Ted's remedy. Andrea, maybe because in the country where a company is located and often deliver items for free people don't realise that they often charge huge amounts of money, often more than you pay for whatever you are ordering to deliver abroad. That can be the case even with a company based in the UK delivering to other European countries. Can you imagine how much they will charge to send something to Quatar?

Maybe someone familiar with Quatar can come up with the information where to get molasses there or else maybe through the Internet in a country closer by? Sometimes people here very kindly point out that I can order stuff from the US but living in Switzerland even ordering form the EU has huge costs! As we don't have any Amazon here if I buy books from Amazon France or UK the postage costs will cost me more than the books themselves! I solve that problem by having them sent to our old address in France as the post is still being sent here or else I pick the books up at my sister-in-law's home when I go to the UK.

Does anyone living in Qatar know where I can find Virgin coconut oil? I've checked out Megamark, LuLu hypermarket and the Philipino supermarkets near Souq al-aseri but haven't managed to come accross anything. I'm not looking for the refined oil in the blue bottle oil but virgin coconut oil.

I lived in Qatar a couple of years ago and did find virgin coconut oil at Mega Mart. I don't recall the name, but it came in a clear plastic bottle with a green label, originating from the Philippines. It also had the USDA organic symbol on it. I noticed that it was not always in stock, but you might be able to ask for it.
