I'm a long time sufferer of yeast. Tired of running to the doctor's office for that one little pill to ease my discomfort, I started searching for natural/home cures online and found this site. I ran out to the store, bought some ACV and drank some mid afternoon 2 days ago. To my surprise, my symptoms started to disappear by that evening. Today all the nagging and discomfort is gone thanks to $1 bottle of ACV! It's too easy... AWESOME!
Yogurt

I've only had 2 yeast infections in my life, and do you know what worked? Yogurt! However, MAKE SURE it is plain (no sugar!) yogurt with live active cultures. The bad news is that is very messy to apply as you must insert it in to the vagina. What I did was buy a disposable douche bottle, empty it, cut off the tip so the hole is as large as possible yet still allows the nozzle to be twisted back on, and using a teaspoon, carefully place the plain yogurt in the bottle. This takes time and effort, but trust me, it provides nearly instant relief. Apply the yogurt in the same way you would use a douche although do it while laying down in the tub or on your bed with a towel under you as it can be messy. Let the yogurt rest inside you for about 15-20 minutes, then sit up. When you sit, the yogurt will of course come back out of you as you, with the exception of a thin film or layer that will remain for the next few hours. Shower (no soap) that area to rinse off any mess, then put on a clean pair of cotton panties, along with a Kotex in. Sleep in the kotex and panties..as during the night the thin layer of yogurt will slowly seep out. It isn't much.. maybe a teaspoon, max. Once application should clear things up as the yogurt can bring your vaginal PH back to order. This may also be helpful to women who use vinegar and water to douche, and do it so excessively that their vaginal PH is also screwed up.. as vinegar is very acidic. If you feel sore or raw, yogurt will do the trick. Caution, do not do the yogurt unless you really need it or you will disturb your vaginas natural healthy PH. One application should be enough for a yeast infection, but if you have no improvement after 2 days, reapply. Rest assured, the yogurt does NOT stay in you. It slowly comes out the same way a man's sperm does when he ejaculates inside you. Another note is; if you douche regularly, DONT. Douching is very bad, unnecessary, and will actually bring you more problems. The vagina is a self-cleaning organ, and if you bathe with soap and water every day, there is NO need to douche.

I BOUGHT BORIC ACID POWDER IN THE DRUGSTORE AND ORDERED 00 SIZE EMPTY GELATIN CAPSULES FROM DRUGSTORE.COM. ONLINE. I FILLED THE CAPSULES WITH THE BORIC ACID AND INSERTED ONE IN MY VAGINA AT NIGHT FOR 2 WEEKS, ITS A MIRACLE, IT REALLY WORKS. ITS ALSO GOOD FOR BACTERIAL VAGINOSIS.

When I get an infection, I pour 1 cup of white vinegar in my douche bottle and finish filling with warm water. I douche twice daily and in about 2 days my infection is gone. The vinegar smell leaves in about an hour.

I was at my wits end trying everything from Monistat to douche to vagisil to get rid of this yeast infection. Then I tried the Apple Cider Vinegar in my bath while I was on my lunch break and put two teaspoons in a glass of water and drank it. It soothed the soreness and stopped the itching right away! I feel like myself again! Thank you all who posted this helpful information!
Apple Cider Vinegar and Salt

After coming across this site, I decided to buy organic apple cider vinegar, and see what I could do at home to clear up my yeast infection. I had already taken a diflucan pill that I had left over from a previous YI back in the summer. So with the diflucan doing it's job, I decided to help out the external symptoms by pouring 11-12 cups of warm water into a deep dish turkey pan so I wouldn't waste the ACV in a whole bathtub. I estimated the ratio to be 11-12 cups of water to 3 teaspoons of ACV and 1/2 a teaspoon of iodized table salt. This combination was gentle and effective, to my surprise. After having suffered major allergic reactions and burns to otc things like Canesten (aaah!!!) I was once bitten, twice shy. But the ACV soak did the trick to remove the white discharge - it just flaked right off with a little massaging of the area to get it into all the nooks and crannies - and the itch was soothed. I've done the sitz bath soak in ACV and salt just three times, and by the 3rd day today, I can see the normal pink skin that should be there instead of the white filmy covering. I just have a little sensitivity left, but I'm hoping that will go away by the end of the 7 day duration that diflucan is supposed to be in effect. Also, i did purchase a dropper of oregano oil (5 drops 3 x a day) and do drink two teaspoons of ACV in a glass of water thru the day, as well as taking 3, 10 billion count acidophilus pills a day. So I'm hoping all this will do the job to restore the proper balance down there, and kill the overgrowth of yeast. Oh, and I did try the yogourt application thing, but that just worked temporarily while the yogourt was applied, and not afterwards, so I don't think I'll do that again. Hope this helps!!!

I am so grateful to all these posts about the organic Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) remedy for the Yeast infection. First, in the morning, my lover suggested a warm salt water douche, which I did once with a turkey baster. Next he went online and read all these posts and I drank a 1/2 cup of the diluted in water ACV (yuck! ). Almost immediately the itching stopped. That evening, I used a turkey baster as well and did the ACV with water and salt. Except for the leakage (I needed to sit on the toilet for awhile to let it all run out :-)) it worked perfectly. No more itching. I will never buy the yucky over the counter goop again!!! Thank you all.
Garlic

If you are hesitant to use a clove of garlic, please do try softgels of garlic extract. I have had success with these, as I did not have garlic cloves at home when I first tried this cure. Although I prefer to use supplements in their most natural form, in this case these were more comfortable (I imagine) and simpler to use. Either way it works!

Plain yogurt in your grocery store can cure a yeast infection in less than five hours. Insert it with a syringe or turkey baster. lay down as much as possible so it will not come down. A pad should be worn to catch the leakage. It really works and the itching will also stop almost instantly!!!!

If you aren't getting results with monistat, that tells me you don't have a yeast infection. I would call the doctor and get it checked.
