Iodine is my drug of choice. I use it for EVERYTHING. I raise my kids and now my grandkids on iodine. My son was due to have his tonsils removed and I decided to paint his tonsils and he has never been had any more problems with his throat. I took a spray bottle and poured some iodine into the bottle and sprayed his tonsils. As you may know iodine dries quickly, so he didn't really swallow any. It worked within 24 hours after spraying the throat. I have done it for my sore throat and it clears it right up.

Hi, I've being reading all the comments regarding Iodine. I have the swabs embedded in Iodine. I may sound a bit stupid when I ask if I could possibly apply directly inside where my throat hurts. I went to two different doctors, once each, they have told me that they don't know what is wrong. I'm going crazy trying to get rid of a burning sensation on the left side right at the end of my tang and the surrounding area. I remember that when I was little at the boarding school where I grew up, the nuns will rub Iodine directly into our throats with a swab. What I don't know is if it was a type of Iodine was designed for that purpose.

Can I use what I have? The information it has says for external use only. I'm willing to take a chance.

I'll appreciate any input. Thanks.

There's a post below yours that says this: "use the clear "decolorized" iodine, available at most drugstores"
