Tincture of Iodine 2% (the same iodine that use to be in your grandma medicine cabinet) put onto a mosquito bite will kill all bacteria and viruses at the site of the bite within ten to thirty seconds, making it impossible for any virus or bacteria to multiply and get started - such as in West Nile Fever, Dengue Fever, etc.

Jerry, I read a while back there was a doctor in Florida who had a way to treat brown recluse bites. So as I am looking... AI told me this:

"According to available information, acupuncture has been found to be effective in treating wounds caused by brown recluse spider bites. A licensed acupuncturist, Craig Amrine, L.Ac., reported success using a combination of the “surround the dragon” acupuncture technique along with electrical stimulation to reduce wound healing time from several months and years to a few weeks."

Iodine Nasal Spray for Sinus Infections

I'm going to teach you how to take a simple saline nasal sprayer bought at the discount store and modify it into an anti-microial, anti-biotic solution to douche your sinus for congestion/infection.

Sheffield Saline Nasal Spray, 1.5 fl. oz. (Improved with Povidone Iodine)

Sheffield Saline Nasal Spray, 1.5 fl. oz. contains Sodium Chloride 0.65%. Remove nasal dryness due to allergies, cold, flu, rhinitis, and sinusitis.

Improved Saline Spray (Robs Formula)

1. Open removed nasal cap. Wrap a paper towel around the nasal tip and using a pair of pliers to gently wiggle the nasal tip out.

2. Add 10 (low) to 20 (high) drops (1ml) Povidone Iodine (PVP-I) 10% to the saline solution.

3. Recap the nasal tip to the spray bottle and screw on the cap.

4. Shake bottle to mix ingredients.

5. Use Saline Nasal Spray as normal.

By simply adding PVP-I to the nasal spray provides the following benefits;

It is effective against a variety of bacteria, viruses, yeast, and protozoa. PVP-I is also rapidly virucidal and inactivates coronaviruses, including SARS-CoV and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS).

Povidone-iodine (PVP-I) is a broad-spectrum antiseptic with activity against bacteria, fungi, yeast, protozoa and viruses. It has been previously used in both intranasal preparations against Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) as well as oral preparations in in-vitro studies of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (SARS-CoV), Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), influenza H1N1, and rotavirus (also called adult diarrhoea vomit bug) with good efficacy. Studies evaluate the efficacy of PVP-I as prophylaxis in Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID19)-negative front-line health care workers and hospital patients. Due to the known breadth of its antiviral activity and similarities in molecular structure, it can be extrapolated that PVP-I should have robust activity against SARS-CoV-2. Eggers et al found that at a concentration of 1% there was a reduction of viral activity of 99.99% in in-vitro assays. At 2 minutes, a concentration of 0.23% was enough to reduce viral loads appreciably.

Povidone-iodine can safely be used in the nose at concentrations up to 1.25% and in the mouth at concentrations up to 2.5% for up to 5 months. Povidone-iodine rapidly inactivates Coronaviruses, including SARS and MERS, when applied for as little as 15 seconds. There is optimism that PVP-I can inactivate SARS-CoV-2, but in vitro efficacy has not yet been demonstrated.

https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/0145561320932318

Povidone-iodine can be safely used in the nasal passages at concentrations up to 1.25% for up to 5 months. PVP-I is generally well tolerated, with RARE cases of allergy and contact sensitivity.

Gershenfeld, 1968 states;

Iodine kills single celled organisms by combining with the amino acids tyrosine or histidine when they are exposed to the extra-cellular environment. All single cells showing tyrosine on their outer cell membranes are killed instantly by a simple chemical reaction with iodine that denatures proteins. Nature and evolution have given us an important mechanism to control pathogenic life forms and we should use it and trust it to protect us in ways that antibiotics can't.

Iodine kills bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa, and even spores of bacteria and fungi, including anthrax spores. Iodine was used successfully against influenza, herpes, small pox, and chicken pox viruses. Kills parasites, bacteria, mold, yeast, protozoa, viruses--essentially all pathogens including malaria, E. coli, and Staphylococcus. When iodine was suspended in a solution, viral inactivation occurred at dilutions of 1/1,000,000. (Gershenfeld, L.: Iodine. In Disinfection, Sterilization, and Preservation. Edited by S. S. Block. Philadelphia, Les & Febiger, 1977, pp. 196-218.)

Iodine is able to penetrate quickly through the cell walls of microorganisms.

Table 4: Microbiological Efficacy Activity of PVP-Iodine versus Bacteria, Yeasts and Molds, Actinomycetes and Rickettsia

Organisms (No. of Strains) Range of PVP-I in ppm Available Iodine Contact Kill Time in Seconds
Proteus (41) 100 - 2500 15 - 180

Tendon Issues After Brown Recluse Spider Bite - Please Help

I have been fighting a brown recluse bite on my shin for over a year. I have been working with Drs to heal it up but I am one of the rare cases where it is affecting my tendons even a year later. I was hoping that there has been some history with this as the Drs basically say eventually it will go away. I have had multiple x-rays and it seems to be affecting my knee directly above, my lower legs, and has started affecting my other leg in the same ways. I have not had any luck other than steroids and I don't want to continue with that. Looking for a natural way to get this under control. Any help appreciated.

Come back to add that I was getting chiropractic adjustments. The most useful alternative therapy I stuck with was a lady who was talented and practiced Bowen therapy and Dorn therapy which aligns your skeleton without 'cracking'. I also saw a talented chiropractor who used Network Spinal Analysis (no 'cracking') - The NSA was her touching specific points on your body and your muscles would just relax like a spring unwinding. I had to sit for a good 20 minutes so my eyes could focus again afterwards. Don't know how but that is what happened. I also learned how to stretch and align my back using exercises and moves from yoga. One that aligned my back was sitting and bending my knees in front and holding under my knees and curving my back so I am like an egg. I would throw myself back and rock back and forth on my back a number of times still holding my knees to my chest - I can hear my back moving back into place. I hope this helps.

Abe's Protocol for ALS:

  • Coconut oil (Virgin C.O. is best)(work up to 9 to 12 tablespoons per day, start at 1 tablespoon)(this seems to be very helpful for ppl with MND/ALS)
  • Sunflower lecithin (tip: have a tsp of sunflower lecithin with every spoon of coconut oil. Re-build myelin sheath and improves oil digestion)
  • Zeolites (pink is best)(2 tsp per day)
  • Diatomaceous earth (mix a heaped spoon of D.E. with a litre of water, add 1 drop or two of ACV, drink the water full of silica, leave the mud on the bottom - easier on kidneys)
  • D-mannose (1 Tb / day. A must to rid the candida & fungus and the metals that the candida is holding along with it)
  • Selenium 200 mcg /day
  • B-vitamin complex (plus additional B2)
  • Benfotiamine (B1) take 1 capsule, several times per day.
  • Vit D3 10,000 IU /day
  • Iodine
  • Boron 3 to 9 mg /day
  • Magnesium 400 – 1200 mg /day
  • Melatonin (3 to 50+ mg per night, 1 hour before bed)
  • NAC
  • Butyrate
  • Antioxidants
  • Follow a low carb diet & also avoid gluten. (High fats, eating lots of animal fats & eggs is very good).
  • Saunas are a useful adjunct to safe mercury removal because they induce copious sweating.
  • Increase circulation by exercising 20 minutes, one to three times a day walking or bouncing on a rebounder (mini trampoline).
  • Apply coconut oil and ACV on topically on sore muscles (very helpful).

Dr. Hulda Clark said, “Six drops of Lugol's solution can end it all for Salmonella. If you have gas and bloating, pour yourself 1/2 glass of water. Add 6 drops of Lugol's (not more, not less), stir with wood or plastic, and drink all at once. The action is noticeable in an hour. Take this dose 4 times a day, after meals and at bedtime, for 3 days in a row, then as needed. This eradicates even a stubborn case of Salmonella.

Pyoderma cure for suffering dogs

My dog had pyoderma, and when I took her to the vet, I was told to bring her in once a month for an allergy shot. Since I am not fond of shots for myself or my dog I decided to look on amazon for allergy medicine and read all the ingredient lists. I found one I thought would help and purchased it. Her sores cleared up in about a month and never came back. Recently I decided to try a different brand that had more ingredients, and they came back almost immediately. The brand is Finn allergy and itch. I know I am not supposed to say brand but this is so hard to clear up to help other poor dogs. Finn has the exact right ingredients. It worked like a miiracle for my dog. I give it to her daily. I love this site, and visit almost every day.

Take a half-teaspoon of powdered ginger or up to an ounce (about 6 teaspoons) of fresh ginger as a tea once a day. Research shows that ginger helps relieve arthritis pain, probably because of its ability to increase blood circulation, which ferries inflammatory chemicals away from painful joints.

Some extremely interesting and brand new things are happening for and to which I can neither find nor recall coming across ANY references - obscure or not - but which seem to be breaking the dams of a variety of whole streams of new ideas regarding some pretty significant aspects of physiology itself.

That said, I'm going to have to organize some thoughts just to be able to describe things - as semi-accurately as possible - as I continue this exploration.

If anything super/EXTRA wild happens, I'll let you know...

Eucalyptus Globulus as a Surgical Dressing. Page 668

The Pharmacology of the Newer Materia Medica: Embracing the Botany, Chemistry, Pharmacy and Therapeutics of New Remedies, page 655-, by George S. Davis, 1892

Report 9 * (T. S. Floyd, M. D., Sedgwick, Kansas, in a paper read before the Kansas State Medical Society, May, 1880 ‘Therapeutic Gazette, 1880, p. 185”) – Something over two years ago my attention was drawn to the probable value of this agent as a surgical dressing, and my first application was of the fluid extract in the following case: A boy about 12 years of age came into my office, his hand covered with blood, and told me his fingers had been canght between a rope carrying a heavy weight and the edge of an iron pulley over which it ran; an examination showed the terminal phalanges of the first and second fingers to be severely crushed, and the joint of the second finger laid open . Believing that amputation would be necessary, and as his parents were not present, I straightened the crushed fingers on a slip of pasteboard, and confined them with a few turns of a roller open at the ends, and then saturated the fingers and bandages with the fluid extract of eucalyptus, and sent the boy home, saying I would call and see him later. On my visit I found the saturated bandage almost as hard as a plaster splint; and the fingers giving no pain. As the bandage was open at the ends so that I could easily watch for any change that might demand interference, I resolved to allow the dressing to remain and apply through the open ends the fluid extract of eucalyptus, one part to seven of water. As neither pain nor suppuration supervened this dressing was allowed to remain for ten days, when I removed it and found the fingers I had first expected to remove, nicely healed; the joint was stiff and the nails gone, but the latter have since grown out and the joint, under passive motion, recovered almost its natural mobility. I have described this case at length, as it illustrates the method I have employed in a large number of injuries to fingers and hands, always allowing the first bandage, when it could be neatly and closely applied, to remain until the wounds healed, and in each case the result has been entirely satisfactory.

In cases similar to the one described it is specially applicable, as the saturated dressing hardens and forms a sufficient support.

BHT Helping Pain.. Wondering About Kidneys

Agent orange

I have been taking 200mg BHT since about mid 1972 and have noticed I never had colds or flue but stopped taking it 2012 as have kidney tumors removed at the VA.

My health has slowly become more susceptible to the flues going around and arthritis has become unbearable. having read every available medical journal paper concerning BHT and Lipid coatings have decided to start taking BHT again three days ago. I do say I don't look my age but I did start aging noticeable after stopping the BHT.

I have already noticed several interesting results, my knee pain, back pain and fingers in the morning have decreased marketable. The Knee is waiting for replacement the end of the year and is incredible painful and has stopped my long walks, 5-10 miles a day to a block if able. The back was crushed in Nam.

So far I'm looking forward to less pain and more mobility if this continues.

My problems are the Kidneys. The right side is running at 20% and the left is 60% efficiency. I'm 81 now and look 65 but if I can at least enjoy life and maybe live longer the risk for the maybe worth the risk for the Kidneys.

Well I've been trying many different supplements for hair shedding but no wow moments. During the aftermath of Helene at one point for a couple days the shedding was scary. For some reason I took Burdock which I keep on hand. It improved the next day. I've been taking 2 a day for about a week and my shedding is alot less than it has been for years. Coincidence? Definitely impressed and thought I should share.

Clay for a Chalazion

Clay My Process for Treating Chalazion/ Eye bump

1. What Worked for Me: I used Indian clay mask, which I had on hand. While I would have preferred bentonite clay for its medicinal properties, the Indian clay did the trick. I mixed it with a bit of water to achieve a medium-thick paste. Each night, before bed, I applied this paste to my entire eyelid, though I think targeting just the bump would have sufficed. Sometimes, I even used it as a face mask!

In the morning, I gently removed the clay with a clean cotton pad soaked in comfortably warm water (instead of a warm compress, which had previously irritated my eye). After removing the clay, I used a tightly wound Q-tip—avoiding the fuzzy kind—to apply apple cider vinegar (ACV) directly to the bump. I poured a little ACV into a separate container for this purpose. I followed this routine for about a week, noticing improvement within three days and significant reduction in the bump by days five to six. Although I can no longer see the bump, I plan to continue for a day or two for good measure.

As a note, I'm a melanated (dark-skinned) African American woman, I say this because it is harder to notice discoloration on my skin due to my complexion and I did observe some slight discoloration on my eyelid from the ACV, so be mindful of potential discoloration and irritation especially if you are a lighter complexion.

2. My Logic: From my understanding, a chalazion is caused by trapped oils in the eyelid that fail to exit through the eyelashes. I found that many others reported success with ACV, which I imagined might dry out the oils causing the chalazion. While ACV alone was slightly irritating for me, combining it with the clay seemed effective.

3. My Experience with a Chalazion

I decided to try a clay mask over the bump on my eyelid. My logic was that clay is often used for acne because it can clear toxins and absorb excess oils. Since the skin is a large organ capable of both expelling and absorbing substances, I thought the clay might help with any trapped oils or bacteria. While I can't say for sure if my hypothesis was correct, I can say that the bump on my lid has vanished!

4. Backstory: One morning, I noticed a small bump on my upper right eyelid, about the size of a grain of rice. Thankfully, it was on my lid and not my eye, and there was no pain or irritation. After researching, I discovered it was likely a chalazion, as described in a YouTube video by a doctor. He suggested that if the bump was less than a week old, it might resolve on its own with warm compresses and gentle massaging. However, that didn't work for me.

I then sought out another video that explained the correct way to massage the eyelid—from the brow down toward the eyelashes. While this method made sense, it still didn't help. Feeling frustrated, I turned to Earth Clinic and saw many people had success with apple cider vinegar (ACV), but I didn't see much improvement with that either. It was at this point I decided to try the clay mask, as previously mentioned.

While I continued using ACV on a Q-tip for the bump, I eventually stopped for the last three days, as it seemed the clay was the primary factor in my improvement.

Summary of Thoughts:

1. The clay mask was the most effective treatment for me, more so than the ACV.

2. I believe bentonite clay might have been even more effective due to its known medicinal properties, but the Indian clay worked well enough.

3. Toward the end of the week, I mixed the vinegar with the clay mask and water, which seemed to enhance the results.

4. I also tried using witch hazel once instead of vinegar, but I switched back to ACV for consistency, so I can't draw any conclusions about that.

Conclusion: Navigating health issues can often feel isolating, but it's important to remember that you're not alone. Many people are facing similar challenges, and sharing our experiences can help others. I'm not a doctor, but I wanted to share what worked for me in hopes it may help someone else. If you've read this far, thank you for sticking with me!

Re Shingles

I use Neem Oil on the rash lesions a few times a day. I also take the Tea and the Leaf Extract. Neem is an antiviral and antibacterial, but it should not be used long term if you wish to become pregnant. It's also a spermicide if used long term. Neem tastes very, very bitter. Occasionally, honey helps, but you can get used to the taste.

The oil on the lesions or rash helps immediately. Pain is reduced, and sometimes itching remains, but to avoid scratching, I put more Neem oil on. I also use diluted magnesium oil but creme would do, to calmtbe nerves, this helps alot. Fluey symptoms are helped with Neem also. I take High doses of Vit C and Lysine as well along with Zinc and D.

I'm still on the 1st day, smallish outbreak managed with the above. I'll follow up soon.

Ps Teds Archive is helpful too.

Dix Hallpike Test and Epley Maneuver

I think the inner ear thing is clearing up as I seem to only be listing to starboard, at this point, and only intermittently.

Adding a little bit of Pau d'Arco to see if I can get that cleared up as the one-sided thing is getting annoying - ROFL!!

Also, since I passed an unexpected kidney stone and work is still happening with regard to my eyes, it occurred to me that the wobbliness could be due to BPPV - which is sort of like an age-related inner ear stone which may have been dislodged like the kidney stone due to that idea of all blockages being hardened - and/or possibly even crystallized - mucous which the ointment seems to be slowly dissolving/liquifying as it seems to be continueing to unblock things all over the cotton-picking place...

But, I'm going to wait until I go to bed to test for it and try the maneuver.
