I met an alternative/homeopathic veterinarian who suggested I give my dog Heels Traumeel and Zeel for inflammation. I couldn't get the Zeel, but I did try the Traumeel and its like a miracle! I got it from Entirely Pets online.

My regular vet said she thought the recent pains and falling were due to inflammation and not the hip dysplasia so I tried the Traumeel and within hours he was walking straight up again! I hope it lasts!

Traumeel and Zeel absolutely have been amazing for my animals! It was recommended by a holistic vet that I try the Traumeel and it has worked wonders on my rescue lab with torn ACLs (while waiting for surgery). I stopped for a bit and she began limping again. I definitely attribute her amazing progress to Traumeel. I own a small, natural pet store and was able to get both Traumeel and Zeel. Each product has produced great results in many customers' animals. Traumeel is for injuries or rheumatoid arthritis and Zeel is for osteoarthritis.

My 11 yr old lab/chow mix has arthritis in his back. Thanks to your helpful posts we're starting a treatment of 10 drops traumeel in 1 oz of Goji juice. He loves Goji juice and it's high in vitamin C and gives us the perfect delivery system for the traumeel. Will research a couple of other items listed and post again if they help.

I have just been recommended organic turmeric for my 14yr old chocolate lab who has bad arthritis in one of his elbows. A friend told me who also has an old lab, she mixes 1 teaspoon with olive oil or coconut oil plus some ground black pepper (very important apparently) twice a day and puts it in the food. She says it is brilliant and that it will work after only a week. I have just send off for mine so I can't wait to give it to my old boy. Anyway I thought it might be a help to some other sufferers, its so sad seeing them in pain and not wanting to go for a walk.

Turmeric saved my baby's life ( 15lbs. Dashound ) she's about 12 years and was really a hard time with moving around. I give her about 3 T. tuna fish/in oil ( I feed the cat every morning with tuna fish mixed with dry cat food) in that I put about 1t. turmenic with about 2 dashes blk. pepper. She now moving around like a puppy and even runs to get her tuna fish meal. Hope this saves your baby too!!!

My dog, a loving and happy 10 year old golden retriever, was stiff and had trouble getting up. It was sad to see and I was worried. Vet recommended extremely expensive pills - an anti-inflammatory painkilling drug which is bad for their kidneys anyway. I tried it for a while but then was told about vitamin C by my neighbor who has 5 healthy black labs and his daughter is a veterinary technician. I worked him up to 2000mg of [vitamin] C daily, (1000mg twice a day) starting at 500 (250mg twice a day with food) and building up, adding more each week. Yes, he is SO much better now, we've been doing this faithfully for 5 months now. My boyfriend noticed how much better he was walking and getting up. It is a godsend. I never did need to get a refill of those pills from the vet in the end. The [vitamin] C worked much better, and instead of costing me hundreds of dollars per month, it costs us only $10. Per month. Thank you [vitamin] C!!!

I happened across a yucca extract when ordering a wormer for my cat. The enthusiastic reviews got my attention so I ordered it for my 10 year old, arthritic, pit bull. She has been steadily getting worse this last year... Limping, can only walk a couple of blocks and not very enthusiastic. Recently I've noticed it taking a lot longer for her to empty her bladder and the chronic yeast infection in her ears is getting worse. She's been on the liquid extract for one week today and the change is unbelievable... In fact, if other people weren't noticing it as well I'd suspect wishful thinking on my part. The limp is almost completely gone, she walks further faster, urination is normal, ear infection is improving, no more itchy-scratchy and a visible increase in muscle mass. She wrestles with me on the floor again! All this after only one week! Other users said they continued to see improvement for three months before it leveled off. Dosage is 1 drop liquid extract per 10 lbs body weight 2x daily. I've looked and can find no known negative side effects. Try it!

Years ago I had a Spitz about 12 years old that developed arthritis so bad that when he laid on slick kitchen floor he couldnt get up. His front feet kept sliding and had to be picked up and stand him up so he could walk. I know we arent supposed to give brand names, but here goes. Kroeger Herbs Rumafix, has yucca as prime ingredient. Dog weighed 35 lbs. I gave him one capsule a day and in four days he was fine. His urine was very dark yellow first day. By fourth day urine was normal color and he was playing and running around with year old pup. Hannah Kroeger, master herbalist claimed arthritis in dogs is caused by a virus. She has a website.

I gave some to my vet for his dog that he was treating with his meds that werent working. He looked at me like I was crazy. Don't know if he ever tried it, but it worked like a charm for my dog. He lived to be 18 1/2 and was never bothered by arthritis again.

Looked at Kroeger Herbs and found no product called Rumafix with yucca as an ingredient. Can find no yucca related products on Kroeger sites. Are you sure you have the name correct? Only one thing called Rumafix on the internet which was a 'vibronics' product which seemed to be more hope than reality.

EC: That post is quite old. It looks like the company stopped selling it: https://www.kroegerherb.com/
