I lost a kitten today. He appeared to be completely healthy and then received his 3 way distemper, Calici, Rhinitracheitis vaccine- stopped eating- started gagging up any food I put in his mouth, had labored breathing, and died. Within 3 days. Beautiful soon to be show cat- an Ocicat. I had modified what vaccines they get as I lost one last year also. Even had a necropsy done and it showed a healthy cat- whose organs shut down after his vaccine.

I read an article online saying it is common for this to happen as we inject 3 live viruses at once into a tiny body and they have to be able to fight them of. The article said the killed vaccine is more harmful and suggested the 3 components be broken down into single vaccines.

As for people- they can do all of the skewed studies they want- but we know our autistic son had vaccine issues. The flu vaccine was especially devasttating for him- to the place where we had to stop it.

I know they are a necessary eveil- but very scarey to me.

Vaccination Side Effects

We had a Golden Retriever who ended up with kidney and liver disease after she was vaccinated and died a year later. We gave her all the recommended puppy shots but did not have her regularly vaccinated because we didn't believe it was necessary. When she was 6 we brought her in and had her vaccinated for Rabies, Lymes & distemper. A month later we brought her in to have a lump removed and they tested her blood and found the problems. She was so sick we had to put her down less than a year later. She was perfectly healthy before those immunizations and I am convinced that is what killed her.

my dogs and booster vaccinations

I always trusted my vet. two months ago, I brought my year old service dog in because she was behaving oddly, more aggressive and edgy. I thought vets were supposed to help animals. I thought vets cared more about the animal than the money. I was wrong. my dog died because of them. Then they wanted to put my other six month old smoothe collie to sleep because she was my service dog's half sister. I grabbed my dog and brought her to another vet. One who had a heart. I trusted and let them vaccinate and medicate my autumn, thinking it would help her be healthier. I checked state regulations. Only the rabies shot booster is required. I sit here without my service dog autumn.

I have a new service dog- a german shepherd.
I will stand at his defense and not trust just any vet anymore.

he will only receive the rabies booster after this, his first year.
Please protect your animals and give them a chance.

I should have learned. ten years ago, my toy poodle went into cardiac arrest from year end boosters.

why didn't I listen? Autumn, I am listening now. too late for Autumn, but not too late for all the others that will come.
this is from my heart. I am a cancer patient with many side affets from the treatment. I need and want my service dog.
Please protect your animals and become infomed and dont go to your vet's ofice blind.

As requested, I'm emailing regarding vaccination affects we've had in our pets.

In 2004, we had a 5 year old female husky to die within 2 hours of receiving her vaccination. She'd had shots every year (DA2PP) without any problems. This year the vet added the Corona Vaccine which is what we think killed her.

We took her for an necropsy immediately to UGA Vet School. Receiving vet said there was no doubt she died from vax reaction. The vet doing the necropsy had the cell phone number to my vet (they knew each other), made personal calls to each other. I think to protect my vet from a law suit or what-not, the vet doing the necropsy reported her death inconclusive, died from swelling in brain (encyphelytis). Thus, this tragedy could not be reported to the vaccine companies!!!!

The same day, a 3 year old Shih Tzu had what I call neurological effects. He was despondent and screamed if we touched him for 3 days. Its like all his nerves were very sensitive. For an addl 7 days he was distant and a touch-me-not and whimpered if we touched him. He had never had any reactions to a vaccine before. I also contribute this to the corona that was added to the vaccine.

The vet REFUSED to believe that his vaccine caused either of these. Yet, on the same day I had 2 dogs severely affected.

I have since learned that corona only affects puppies; thus, no need to ever be given to an adult dog. Yet, most vets include this in the vaccine protocol. I now buy my own vaccinations and give the shots myself on a more conservative protocol due to the new findings of how we are way over vaccinating our pets.

I encourage all to learn about the vaccines their pets are getting and do not accept a vets word that all are safe. He's in business to make money. When adding the corona vax in 2004, the vet charged an addl $30 per vaccine!!!!!

Sincerely,
CShep3

I just wanted to add a few words on the danger of too much vaccinations. My 11 year old Golden Retriever had to have his rabies shot in order to get licensed. I am sorry to say I wanted to save some money, so we brought him to a clinic. He received all vaccinations at once, including a 3 year rabie vaccine. A few months later he developed cancerous tumors. He died about 6 months later. In trying to help him after his diagnosis, I found out how too many vaccinations at one time can be deadly. Too late for him, but not for others. If you must vaccinate, try spreading the vaccinations over months so not to overload your pet.

I just had to put my dog down yesterday because of what I truely believe are the results from either the distemper, rabies, or bordetella shots he received on the 13th of March. Levi would have been 10 the 3rd of May, he was a shephard mix, 103lbs, I helped deliver him and he had been with me ever since, like you I had to help him up and down the stairs just so he could go pee, he quit eating monday, he started having difficulty with the stairs tuesday, he fell while peeing wednesday and his front legs both swelled up, and I noticed he had jaundice wednesday. When I took him to the vet they said he was going down hill fast. He wasn't getting enough protein they said, his liver shut down. He was fine before, so full of life, and then this .... I put him down thursday, I couldn't watch him suffer like this.

We took our 4 year old boxer, Rocky, to the vet for shots. We got him when he was 3 from a family member. He had never been to a vet before so they told us that he would need Rabies, Parvo, etc. They also told us that he had Hookworms and gave us medicine to give him for three days. They told us to watch for swelling in the face, vomiting or diahhrea. They never mentioned anything about itching or swelling at the injection site. That was on Friday; on Tuesday he was gone. The vet said that he had probably gotten in to some poison. There was no evidence of poisoning, we firmly believe that he died as a result of the vaccinations. Of course, they would not say that. I wish that we had read up on the side effects before we took him in. The shot records say that he was in perfect health, with the exception of the Hookworm, and we have lost our family member. Our next dog with have their rabies shot but we certainly won't be taking them back to that vet for any other shots!

My 4 year old cocker spaniel, went in for his vaccinations..in 2005. He got the new 4 year booster shot. in less than 24 hours he began vomitting...then bloody diahrea, followed in days by severe tremors, fever, his eyes glazed over in a blue haze, and a few days after his mucus mebranes in his nose began to bleed. and he became lethargic. During these events we rushed him to the vet and animal hospital. where they claim it all just coincidental, and that he had an auto immune problem...and would send him home, with pain meds and diahrea meds. We went back several times, ended up with a huge vet bill and a dead dog! if you ask me the new extra strong booster may be what triggered it and the symptoms appeared to be hepatitis and he died of a stroke. They still denied the connection. what a horrible way for a dog to suffer.

I took my healthy cat of 10 years to the vet today. After receiving the rabies and distemper vaccines--approximately 5 minutes after the shots. She growled 2 times and went limp. They took her back and intubated her and gave oxygen, gave her benadryl and epinephrine but she died anyway. Does this seem right to anyone?

my name is valerie and I took my 4 16 month old mini schnauzers in for their annual rabies and other boosters less than one month later all 4 got seriously ill one with a horrible rash 3 were hospitalized and one died the 4th one came down severely anemic and has bacteria in his colon. I have 5 other older schnauzers and all are fine the only link is the vaccine in the 4 younger dogs. We are awaiting autopsy on Snickers who died. We are broken-hearted. Her rash was terrible, on tummy, was raised red bumps from top to bottom and they were blistering. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. We love them all dearly and miss Snickers terribly. Vets refuse to say it was the vaccine but wouldn't all 9 have been sick if it wasn't?

In July of 2000 my 11 year old Belgian Tervuren, was diagnosed with spindle cell carcinoma. She had developed 2 egg-sized lumps in the area of her shoulders. I consulted with a Specialty Veterinary Clinic in Tucson Arizona, and I was told it was Vaccine Induced Cancer. She died December 1, 2000. She underwent 3 surgeries to remove the tumors, but each time it came back more aggressively.

My newfoundland had her annual vaccinations two weeks ago. She started chewing on her feet and legs, Then I noticed blood in her mouth and on her toys. Took her to the vet and she had low plateletts, went to a specialist and he said it most likely is reaction from recent vacc. I left her there that night thinking I would see her in the AM. I got a call in early am saying she was DIC (bleeding out) She died! That was this week. I had no clue this could happen. She was 5 1/2yrs old, part of me died that day. Many friends are not aware of this as a side effect. Why are we not aware??

my boxer had a fourth combo shot (parvo, lepto etc) along with her first rabies shot. She's 6 months old. She's had diarrhea since, for three days now. Is it from the vaccine? Our last boxer had a rabies shot at 6 months and was spayed that same day. She made it through surgery and then died when they reversed the anesthetic. Coincidence? Please post questions on the site with latest posts.

My Mini Australian Shepherd was 14 months old when she was taken in for her annual Rabies and DHPP shots. Immediately after the shots she had a reaction and started vomiting and collapsed on the ground. The vet gave her oxygen and benadryl and said he wanted to watch her for several hours. 2 hours later they were doing CPR and she died. I got no real answers from the Vet except it was a rare thing that happened. That was no comfort to us.We have no answers and have done alot of research and now feel that our pets are being over vaccinated.
