For those of you who have a problem with the taste of ACV, even when diluted with water, you might try mixing ACV into a glass of lemonade.

For anyone who doesn't like the taste of apple cider vinegar, try it with orange juice that way you cant taste it as much. Thats how my husband and I drink it. One tbl spoon in a glass of orange juice. Any juice works pretty good.

I just though I would let your readers know that I just started the ACV remedy daily regiment to prevent migraines as I am weaning off my daily meds (that were causing hearing loss after 5 years on them!!). So far so good! I will say that w/o the honey, I couldn't pallette the taste, so I mixed it with La Croix (but any brand UNSWEETENED) Lime water. It is carbonated and tastes slightly sweet even though it has no artificial sweetners (a must for any migraine folks). For some reason it really cuts the "yuck" factor considerably!
Just a tip! Saved me and now I am working the cure!

I just could not take even the littlest amount of ACV...I tried so many ways to cover the wretching I would suffer every day when I would attempt to swallow it. Today, I found the answer....Clamato Juice! for the first time I could pour almost 2 tablespoons in a glass and fill it up with the juice and down it went, no problem!

Aloha,
I thought I'd pass on a smoothie recipe I use every morning to disquise the taste of vinegar and molasses and sneak in some other stuff I don't like the taste of. The end result is a easy, delicious breakfast.
Place in a blender:
2 Tblsp. ACV
2 Tblsp. Black Strap Molasses
2tsp vanilla
1 cup of any juice you have on hand (I like cranberry or apple)
2 frozen bananas
5/6 frozen strawberries
Soy milk to fill the blender.
Now here's where you can add if you like:
1/2 cup oatmeal (try it, you'll be suprised you can't tell it's in there)
-wheat germ
-bran
-calcium powder
or just about anything you like.
*if you live where Noni grows, this will even disquise that taste!
Blend on high until mixed.
This smoothie gives me a ton of energy, a smooth clear complexion and notable weight loss.
The first week I started drinking this, I was very tired with flu like symptoms but I kept it up as I believed my body was purging and healing. By the 2nd week, I felt like a new person.
Thank you Earth Elinic for being here! I would have never have discovered these amazing cures and remedies!

Ive tried everything to mask the taste of ACV, but nothing worked, but I was determined to find somethig, becuse I know there's so many benefits to drinkin it, So what I do is take 2 "shots" I just pour it into the lid and slam it with LOTS of water mixed with a tiny spoonful of baking soda to reduce the acidity, its quick and easy and wll be doing that from now on!!

I've been giving my mother (who has diabetes 2) apple cider vinegar whenever she will agree to take it in hopes of lowering her blood sugar. When she does take it her sugar readings go down (sorry, but I don't have the exact numbers.) The only problem is she hates the taste of it so much it's hard to get her to drink it!! I've come up with a much better tasting recipe; I put about 5 drops of the liquid stevia (might need to try a few different brands - I hate to say it, but the more expensive brands do taste better) in with 2 T. of the vinegar & about 6 - 8 ounces of water & a couple of ice cubes. She doesn't love it (I do!) but she can handle it much better. Cheers!

Bandi. You are only 75lbs now, and are trying to lose weight with ACV? That must be a typo?

I have overcome the problem of not liking the tasts of my ACV/baking soda combination by adding as many drops of Tabasco sauce as I can take. (That little bottle lasts a surprisingly long time...) I think that also takes care of my cayenne pepper requirements. Could someone either confirm or deny that Tabasco sauce is the same as cayenne? Thanks, and health and happiness to all!

I came across this fresh salad dressing recipe in a health magazine and it is to DIE for! I use it in salads, pasta...dip bread in it! It is GOOD and healthy!
Maple Vinaigrette Dressing
Ingredients:
* 1 teaspoon dry mustard (I have substituted actual mustard before & it was good)
* 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
* 1/4 cup balsamic or good quality wine, cider or maple vinegar (We use Apple Cider Vinegar)
* 1/2 cup Pure Maple Syrup
* 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
* 1 clove garlic, minced
* 1 cup olive oil
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
Preparation:
Combine mustard and basil in a small bowl. With a whisk, add vinegar, maple syrup, lemon juice and garlic. Add olive oil and continue whisking until ingredients are well combined. Season with sea salt and pepper. Refrigerated, the dressing will keep for several weeks.
Enjoy!

I was wondering if ACV is a good remedy for people who already have a candida overgrowth. I would like to have the health benefits of it, but I've heard vinegar is bad for candida.

I think ACV could do just as well in iced tea. Maybe after your tea (and raspberry, cinnamon apple, and many other herbal teas taste good iced) can be cooled in the fridge, and then the ACV can be added before drinking. That way the enzymes aren't killed.

I have just started ACV for weight loss support and blackstrap molasses in hopes of reversing advancing gray hair.
This recipe made both products more palatable for me:
2tbsp ACV
2tbsp BSM
Mix in a tall glass until the BSM is dissolved. Add a full can of club soda or mineral water - be careful, it really fizzes. Stir lightly, add ice if desired, and enjoy. Sorta sweet, sorta tangy, nicely fizzy, dark brown. It's a taste that grows on you, sort of like Coke does.

re: Switchell -- I recall as a youth one of my summer jobs to make a few bucks working in a stone quarry. It was hot work. My buddy's mom would mix up a jug of water, acv, honey and a bit of ginger and boy did that taste good on a hot day!
Many years later I remembered how good it made me feel. I had suffered for 3 years with severe pain in my left shoulder. Dressing myself and even driving my car was an event. Spending one season (2005) as a flagman at Watkins Glenn International Speedway really hurt, and holding out a double yellow flag seemed like an eternity of pain. 2 weeks after takng ACV my pain was gone and I now have full mobility although a click is still there, I feel no pain! Being a FlyFisherman I have spread the word on 2 forums. Hundreds have read my post and many have PM'd me. I know this worked for me and it will for you too!

I just wanted to say that I found this web-site today and thought I would try the ACV to lose weight and feel better. I am 75lbs now and will update later. I was wanting to let people know that you can mix it in with Sunny D and it's actually good! I gag on things very easy so I thought I would not be able to drink this stuff but I had some sunny d. and thought I would try it in it and it was very good. I won't have a problem drinking this at all!

About the apple cider; for one thing you do not drink large amounts of vinegar every day. That is insane. I read in a booklet on the research. Here is a formula:
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
garlic cloves; but i use garlic tincture; if you have ever eaten raw garlic it knocks the breath out of you
1 Tbsp honey
1TBsp lemon juice
i put this in tea; real tea; also miso, cayenne, ginseng, gingko, goto kolo and other herbs.
