Hello all. With the codex, around the corner and the governments of the world trying to come out against vitamins and other natural supplements. I was thinking that we all could benefit from a page that gives us natural sources of vitamins and minerals. For example, sources such as oranges for vitamin C. I would like to know what sources of foods ( Both wild sources and sources that we find in our gardens )that supply high dosages of vitimans and minerals. We may all be searching the wilderness before long for substitutes. So where can we get L-Lysine, in a natural sources, other than a pill and etc. I hope you understand what I am asking for.
Also I would love to see pictures of wild edible plants, found in nature and food that can cure or provide nutrients for us. Like what the rain forest and Native Americans used. Native American cures page would be wonderful or rain forest cures. Bark from trees or any sources.

Rebel, First, people must be united to demand our right to foods, herbs, spices, supplements. Second, those with a yard can stop mowing grass and start raising herbs and spices. For those who have no yard, there are indoor growing kits for foods like mushrooms and sprouts. Sprouts, are one of nature's most nutritionally dense foods. Also Bee products like pollen, royal jelly, and propolis are nutrient dense. Eat cooked chicken or calf liver at least once a week, as liver also is a nutrient dense food.

I would
love to purchase, from Earth Clinic, some booklets with favorite remedies for common ailments, not just apple cider vinegar, to give out at Christmas to acquaintances, family, and friends.
Thank you.

Hi Ted,
Thank you for this invaluable website!
I'm 30, mostly healthy, but I do have acne and a sweet tooth, irregular/skipped menstrual cycles, anxiety, and wanted to lose a few pounds, but my appetite felt somewhat insatiable.
I've used Olive Oil Pulling most consistently for two months and switched off to using Sesame as of this morning.
I feel fuller faster, kept off a noticable amount of weight, suppressed appetite and cravings, and have better skin/hair/nails/teeth/gums among other wonderful benefits.
I first learned from my mom, and as a believer and advocate too, I love natural medicine. I would love to live a life without Rx drugs or invasive proceedures and stop feeding into a huge money making system that relies on people abusing their health. I love to encourage people to reconsider how they treat this amazing machine we call the human body, and this website is a key part of that. Thank you again.
-Mel

Good afternoon to all, my name is Dan and I was surfing the web for some information on a foot topic and came across your web site. I enjoy your site very much. I also enjoy what others have to say about how they "over came" things as well.
Regards,
Mr. D. Cahill

Dearest EC-ers and Francisca, who has been asking since May....
We have just gone live with a new feature that can notify you via email when someone replies to a post that you are watching in your account.
Please note:
1. You must be a registered member to use this option.
2. After logging in, click on the watch (eye) icon underneath a post of interest. A box will pop up that asks you if you'd like to be notified when someone replies to a post. Click yes!
3. Make sure that emails from earthclinic.com are not blocked in your email account.
Any questions or issues? Please let us know!

This is really great news, Deirdre..... And sorry if sometimes I am such a pain (in the positive sense, I hope.... ). But does the option also notifies the person who posted the comment to start with so that the person knows someone needs to contact them? I have struggled a few times lately because of not being able to contact someone who posted something of real interest to me but didn't answer my questions and people have said the same thing about me, the reason being that I never saw their posting (I tend to be away quite a bit.... and although I try to keep up when I get back if you have a lot of comments to go through sometimes you miss a few)! Or maybe the solution would be to click on the eye every time we post something ourselves....

Hi Francisca -
I just wanted to say that I enjoy your posts very much - and I am sure you are not a pain in a "bad" way. (Hey - at least you were not the one who suggested the catastrophic "thumbs up" button).
<;-x arrrrrrgh! Still regret that.
Deidre - Thanks for this new "following a thread" option, it will be great. I will have to start signing in now, but it will be awesome. Very cool.

Hi Francisca,
To answer your question: Yes, but only if the person has added their original post to their "watched post" list (and given EC permission to email them). If they choose not to "watch" their own post, they won't get notified. I guess the next step is to add a "contact this member" option like on other forums, but we need to get the new design (plus ebooks, plus ipad apps, etc.) launched first!
Carly - no worries about the thumbs up icon. I thought it was a great idea too!
Take care,
Deirdre

Thanks for the information Deirdre and I know that you are awfully busy! The same here..... Yes, notify this member would be a terrific help as I have noticed that I am not the only one often struggling with the fact that I can't get clarification on some issues like the use of iodine for basel cell carcinoma. Without the information whether one needs to take it or to apply nothing can be done. But..... Don't worry, one thing at a time! Do you konw what we say in Portugal? Roma and Pavia were not made in one day!

My wife thought someone here might be able to answer these questions since she couldn't.
1 Some people here mix the vinegar with molasses. Does the vinegar still work to balance the pH of the body or does it need to be taken alone?
2 We have soem ctiric acid lying around for canning that is two to three years old. Does it have an expiration? How would I know it has gone bad? Sometimes we can't get tons of lemon or limes to make the pH drinks for entire family.
3 I've read Ted say here that he recommends a vegetarian diet and that meat isn't too good for us, except for the amino acids it has. I don't want to depend too much on supplements in case codex alimentarius is true and I can't get my hands on good quality supplements. Do you think it might be wise to supplement with a little local grassfed seafood and meat like the Chinese do (to flavor their dishes) to ensure we don't get a B12 or amino acid deficiencies?
Thanks to anyone who can answer

Hello, I came across your site several weeks ago and spent hours reading all of the information it contained regarding coconut oil and health ailments. It was very eye opening and I learned a ton.
I've used coconut oil for years in my homemade hand and foot creams, body gloss and hair moisturizers and it's fabulous.
I just turned my readers onto your page and want to say thanks again for sharing such great information!

I've been searching for causes of spleen pain, low energy, extremely high cholesterol and vitamin d deficiency for months. I just spent my first 4 - hour visit to this site and am overwhelmed with all the wonderful information here. Tomorrow, I investigate the Pets section. I'll be back often; I am totally enthralled.

Great Website! Great information! So glad I found it. This is better than any health book I could buy. Universally tested cures and or remedies create confidence in the use of them. I will visit this site often and will contribute financially to this website accordingly if I find it to be helpful in resolving any health issues that my family may have. I'm not a registered user but I wanted to say Thank you and that I am excited about finding this website.

Wondering if you're going to get a tab for DMSO alone? Also, I've written quite a few questions and feedback and never has it been posted. Am I doing something wrong or do you pick and choose what gets posted?
Thanks
EC: There actually is a section for DMSO under supplements. Also, if you do a search for your name and location in the upper right box, you will find your posts.

Well, I for one did not know what DMSO is. There are so many acronyms tossed about these days it is helpful to at least know what it is you are talking about. Also, the more information you provide as to what it is used as a treatment for will be much more likely to get a response. I found this website that discusses DMSO [ dimethylsulfoxide ] as a treatment for a number of serious ailments:

I'm not sure how well this will go down, but I'd like to make a suggestion apologies to those who find this in bad taste.
I recently had some UFOs (Unidentified Floating Objects) along with my bowel movements and a google search of the description led me to a site called poop report. The comments on this site were mostly random nonsense, however some were quite informative and others were absolutely hilarious.
My suggestion is that we could start a page here for folk to anonymously share any unusual / worrying goings on in the toilet department. Where questions such as - is it normal, is it serious, is it IBS or is it fungus etc. could be answered.
Just thought I'd put it out there.
