I don't know how I got there but I found a page where gives you information about all your contributors like Ted, Joyce, etc. I am trying to get there today and I cannot find it. Can you tell under what I should look? Thanks!

EC: Yes, you can find the bios to two independent contributors, Joyce and Ted, on the "About Us" page. https://www.earthclinic.com/about.html#ted. The link to this page is located the set of links at the bottom of every page, (along with our terms of service, copyright, contact us, and search links).

I am just wondering why some words are highlighted in color? for example the word and, flu, of, the, ect...... in alot of the posts. Is it just my computer?

EC: Hi Lori. No, words should only be highlighted on a page if you've just done a Google search (located at the top of every page on this site) using the same key words and are clicking on the links in the Google search results. Try deleting your browser history and cache, then restarting your browser. That should solve the issue. But if anyone else is experiencing this, please let us know! Thanks...

Hello all, I would like to start by saying that I love everything about Earth Clinic! I have a question though. I just sighned up for an account and can not see anything different,f rom when I did not have an account.
Could someone tell me, why an account with EC is better than just an anonymous surfing??? Yes, I read the agreements and what not,but have failed to see a big difference. Should I keep my account? Is there actually any BENIFITS???

Is there forums, chats or something else I am missing?
Thank You.

EC: Are you sure you have signed in? At the top it should say "Sign Out" and "My Account"

There are two benefits to being a registered user:

1. Registered users are able to send feedback much faster; i.e., they don't have to enter name, city, state, email and spam code each time they send a post.

2. In your account details, you will see every post that you have sent and where it links to on the site.

Thanks Earth Clinic! You're awesome. You've helped me get rid of Bacterial Vaginosis and recurring UTIs. Now I'm onto toenail fungus. Just one more ailment and hopefully I won't need you anymore! (don't take offense).

Love ya-
Kerry

EC: Thanks for the support. Good luck with the nail fungus! Let us know how it goes -- it's one tricky bugger of an ailment!

I am enjoying your website and learning much, thank you! Question; someone mentioned they used ACV for some cures I need. If you could please explain what it means.

thank you,
bibi

EC: Hi Bibi,

ACV stands for Apple Cider Vinegar!

I am thankul for this website. I am thankful that there are websites created for womanly issues. I did not have a car, but I was dying to try ACV. I got a ride to my local store. Right now, in this very moment, I am feeling much better than I felt in days. I dont know how many thanks I can give: but just as a start, thanks a million!

EC: Thanks for the support! Please send us your feedback (if you like) as we have no idea what ailment you are using ACV for!

It would be really nice to have the option of clicking a check-box that allows a participants name/city/state/country to be remembered so we don't have to reenter the info every time we respond. Might that be a possibility?

I absolutely love this site. You all are doing a fantastic job and such a huge service to the people who come here, and to those they tell about these remedies. Thank you so much for all your efforts :)

May God bless you and yours.

EC: Thanks for the suggestion and for all of your feedback posts! 2 weekends ago we launched the registered user section, which eliminates the need to enter your name, city and state for all posts. Once registered, you just need to log in.

Here's the registration page: https://www.earthclinic.com/register.php

hi to all. I registered and was told there would be an confirmation e-mail sent before full registration would take place. I didn't receive this and so assumed I had done something wrong. When I tried to re-register I'm told my e-mail is already in use. EC, maybe you can guide me in the right direction, thanks.

EC: Hi Tricia, sorry you didn't receive the email with the authorization passcode. Occasionally it ends up in Junk mail and occasionally the server attached to your email account will reject it as spam and you will never see it. Please email [email protected] with the screen name you used when you registered and we will send you the authorization code. Thank you!

I'm a resident of Canada for many years (perfectly trilingual, English/French/Spanish), and I keep communication with many relatives and friends around the globe. Specifically, I would like to know if you ever think that your wonderful web page will become bilingual English/Spanish or some articles in Spanish or if you know or own a web page like this one that can be accessible to Spanish speaking people that do not speak English.

I will appreciate your help, there many people no-English speaking looking for articles like the ones published here.

Regards,

JB

EC: Thank you for your feedback. We did start this endeavor Summer, 2008 (see the acv in spanish page), but it turned out to be far too costly for a website like ours and stopped short!

EC: I know a lot of people have been helped by this site and Ted's postings and would like to show appreciation by sharing a donation or love offering. I have talked with some folks you stated they didn't know there was a link where you could donate. My suggestion is to change the color of the link and use a bigger font so it will standout. Thanks again for this site!!!

EC: Thank you for the suggestion, PR, much appreciated!

Deirdre

Hi EC A little suggestion about your pH balance links.

The pH Balance link appears in the [Ailments] page. Yet the Second line in the
https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/pH.html page is "Best Home Remedies to Balance pH Levels!".

It has always been a source of confusion for me to find the reference to the pH balance page.

I would like to suggest
1) to add the "pH Balance" and "pH balance - Q&A" links as well to the [Remedies] page.

2) to add a link in the "Alkalizing Formulas" page to the "pH Balance page" and vice versa.

Thanks for your great site.

Alain

EC: Thank you for the great suggestion, Alain. Yes, those 2 pages were confusing. Made some title name changes, added the links. Hopefully this is better!

I really don't understand the exhuberance that borders on cult for ACV. I have looked at the site and ACV apparently cures every illness known to man and it is the most favored remedy for everything. That, on it's face, is a bit much and makes me tend to not take the remedies too seriously.

Especially when there is a lot of information on the health benefits of getting your diet more alkaline. All those foods we think of as 'bad foods', are mostly acid -- all the meats and sweets, etc. And all the foods we think of as 'good' are alkaline -- like the veggies and legumes and nuts and seeds, etc.

And yet, the A1, top ranked remedy for most of the things I looked at was to add the acidic Vinegar to the diet. I actually think it has caused me some trouble. When I take it I start to get wheezy. And it's bad for your teeth.

So, to me, there appears to be a need to be a bit more objective about this so we can get to some real, working remedies and ease away from what appear to be placebo remedies.

EC: Thousands of posts about the effectiveness of apple cider vinegar and you're calling it a placebo remedy? Funny!!

Had you done a little more research on the subject on this site, you would find that apple cider vinegar creates an alkaline pH.

yes, the placebo effect cannot be ruled out....but with so many reporting positive responses, when does that in itself become "Science."

The gold standard of science being the double blind placebo is great but can be flawed as well....

Even for one person who says something has worked for him when for so many it hasn't is valid. Perhaps that one person took it along with something else that enabled it to work beyond the placebo effect.

As we are learning there are so many X-factors in the equation that Science isn't necessarily "science".. Meaning that there are infinite variables that lie outside the double blind studies....Thus I find these posts fascinating...all little pieces of the puzzle, some science, some intuition..some crazy, but all human.

ACV creates an alkaline PH in your body the same way the real Lemon juice does. I detox my body by fasting, once in a month, using real lemon juice with distilled water. ACV, Lemon and Lime juices are acidic in nature but creates an alkaline pH in your body.

Paul, let's play devils advocate for a bit:

Assuming AVC (or any other remedie on this site) offers nothing but placebo effect: wouldn't placebo be better than taking possibly toxic medication which costs MONEY and TIME, through the use of an expensive "DOCTOR"? What do you have to lose? Are you saying that a couple of tablespoons of vinegar a day is more toxic than, say, antibiotics or cortizone? Does it cost more? Are there more side effects to vinegar consumption than taking western medicine?

Sorry bud, but there will never be the proven "real remedy" you talk about, simply because no one is interested in spending millions(ssssss) in FDA trials to prove that something like vinegar, which can't be patented, is more effective than whatever it is that the healthcare industry is trying o push on us in a given day, with the help of our government(s), under the disguise of a World Health Organization (ie: US pharma industry puppet).

It looks like you came into this site with your mind made up about a lot of things. And that's fine. You make your choices, you live with them. A lot of people here are making other choices, and are happy with it! They don't need any convincing from people like you.

One of our readers recently requested a new page devoted to sexual abuse and has submitted feedback on the subject. This is an immensely uncomfortable subject, but we'd be interested in hearing your views on the subject. If you wish to remain anonymous, please enter "Anon" on the first name, city and state fields of the Contact Us form.

To keep the page from sinking into a dark abyss, ideally we'd like to receive feedback from people who have healed themselves from the trauma of sexual abuse.

Here's the new page: https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/sexual-abuse.html

To DJ from pdx:

Hello there DJ,

Thanks for those kind words and I have just added you to my list of friends, although I may never meet you personally. Sounds like you are as addicted to EC as I have been since the first day I stumbled on it. I love EC and have been thoroughly happy that I am retired with enough to not worry about where the next meal is coming from and can both learn and share with our big EC family! Isn't it great? However I question its rating as one of the top ten sites, seems to me like it should be #1 of its kind.

Don't know how far on the other side of this planet you live, but if you ever get through this neck of the woods, drop by but please don't be wearing any smelly stuff because of my allergies. If you ever do, be prepared to do a lot of talking, because my kids tell me I'm a regular motormouth. I just tell them it runs in the family. Come to think of it, if my kids are right about my motormouth, you might have trouble getting a word in edgewise and be found doing more listening than talking! Also if you bring the tea, I love Red Zinger herbal.

Deirdre has my ok to let you have my e-mail if you want it. You sound like my kind of people. By the way, does DJ stand for disk jockey or is that your actual initials? Goodnight now, I am calling it a day and going to bed.

Hello to all my EC family,

Happy to announce that thanks to a lot of prayers, wonderful medical care, I am off my DND (Danged near Dead) perch and happily back at home with my family and feeling very loved by all.

Let me get on my soapbox for a few minutes and tell you all when you are sick and know it, get yourself to the doctor. If you don't feel like sitting up, call an ambulance and if you are afraid of embarrassing yourself and medical staff, I can assure you it won't be the first time a nurse or doctor got pooped or peed on. I am not quite up to par yet but getting there by leaps and bounds. I am sitting here now thinking that I can plant my 8 tomato plants tomorrow if I can catch a time when Danny isn't looking. I'll leave my blueberry bushes for him to plant because they require a larger hole.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and concerns and may God continue blessing us all. Hoping to catch up on 3 weeks of e mail and then getting back to learning and sharing on EC.

Love you all.
