Newsletter Archives
Hello, I love this site and have only now noticed there are newsletters so have just signed up. I think I have read just about every post available on here so I would like to know if it is possible to read past issues of the newsletters? and if so where would they be located on the site?
Keep up the great work everyone. Cheers
Mel
EC: Hi Mel,
Thank you for your interest in our newsletters! Our e-newsletters, up until September, were few and far between. The 3 we have sent out thus far this year are archived here:
Body/Mind/Spirit: Interview with Soolmaz Abooali (09/22/2010)

Website Comments
EC: Hi Dixiechick,
Your feedback was indeed posted on Wednesday to the Latest Pets page. Pet-related posts do not appear on the Latest Posts page. We'll have to make those 3 icons at the top of the Latest Posts page more obvious!
Your feedback was also posted here: https://www.earthclinic.com/pets/ear_infection2.html#AVOID_46537

EC: Thanks so much, Bessie. So glad you enjoyed the article!

Pyrether
EC: Hi Sohail,
Fun! A little hunting on Google Books and we found this in Spice: The History of a Temptation - Page 222
* Pyrether
An aromatic North African root, sometimes known as pellitory. It has a light aroma and a persistent, pungent taste.

Website Requests
This site is very helpful and has a wealth of information. So, thank you for putting it all together. However, it would be exponentially more helpful if EC provided user forums where users could seek and share information with other users in a more direct manner. Whilst reading various posts, I realized that there were many answers sought by users that remain unanswered - even from years prior. I just know we could get the information in a better, more direct manner. The forums could be divided by topic to make it simple to use, I. E. Cancer, auto-immune disorders, skin conditions, detox methods, etc. I'm seeking information regarding heavy metal detox methods for a 13 month old. One person replied with information, but the information was not applicable to my situation. With how EC is now, I probably will not get any further in my search, even though I believe that someone has relevant information. The forums would serve the dual purpose of being a searchable source and be much like the information is now, with the advantage of having more people receiving and sharing more information - quickly. When it comes to health, time is of the essence. Thank you,
SMC (regulator555)
EC: Hello SMC,
Thank you for your suggestions! We had this very discussion on EC a year or two ago and while a handful of people liked the idea of turning the site into a forum, the majority of our frequent contributors wanted to keep EC exactly the way it is. Curezone.com, however, is set up this way and might be an excellent place for you to post your questions in a new topic if you haven't already. Please let us know what you learn!
Best,
Deirdre

Website Updates
Thank you, Tomer!
EC: Hi Chris,
January was the last one we sent out. Yes, long overdue. We're working on the next one!
Website Requests
I have been away from this site (all sites) for almost three months. I have been back one month. I have to say I am very happy with the date and time added to each post. It makes it so easy to find the last post read when you come back another day. It took a long time coming but it was worth the wait.
I did not know about the "Watch This Feedback" until I read the above post. I did not usually sign-in unless I was writing a post but I will from now on.
I always try to find the Website Comments/Updates section to see if anything is new after being away for a week or so. It takes a bit of detective work. I think it would be a good idea to have an easily accessible, very visable "tag" to follow website comments/updates.
Thanks for all you do.
Maureen
EC: Hi Maureen,
Yes, we're happy with the new timestamps on the 3 Latest Posts sections as well. Indeed, it should have happened long ago, but I was under the (false) impression from my programmers that it wouldn't work.
We'll put a link to website updates/comments this weekend and will let you know where to find it. Thanks for the great ideas and support,
Deirdre
Website Complaints
I have a blog that uses Google ads....it brings revenue (miniscule in my case) and there is no way to totally monitor the ads.
The keywords trigger the ads...and since Earth Clinic is about HEALTH - it triggers the big pharm. company ads. (They think they are "health" - go figure ;-)
Easy to ignore, and not a big deal.
Thanks for letting me put in my .02
Carly
Website Complaints
David
EC: Hi David,
We've been running Google ads for the past 5-6 years now and Chitika ads for about a year. We are very grateful for these two ad networks because otherwise Earth Clinic would be too expensive a site to maintain/evolve. Donations, especially now during this recession, are few and far between. In that respect (re advertising), nothing has changed or been "compromised"on the site.
From a response we gave to someone who asked a similar question:
Any company in the world can create a google ad, which then gets triggered on a multitude of websites by certain key words. There are many, many different ads cycling through EC each day, too many to monitor. Also, ads vary by location. We've banned a number of offensive and creepy ads that have shown up on the site but frankly don't have the time/staff/energy to see what's cycling through every five minutes!
In answer to your question about who owns the site, 'tis the same person who has always owned the site, Deirdre Layne.https://www.earthclinic.com/about.html. We'll let everyone know if that ever changes.
EC: Hi Leaa,
Registered users on Earth Clinic have that ability when they click on the "Watch This Feedback" eye icon at the bottom of any thread after they have logged in. Doing so puts a thread into the "My Watched Posts" section of your account.
I love your site! Thanks so much for providing this wonderful forum. Could you please add a Facebook button so we can share it with all our friends? Thanks!
EC: Hi Alice,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We do have a link to our facebook page on the Latest Posts page (the little blue icon at the top, next to the rss feed icon). We'll add this to every page to make it more visible, thanks so much!
Website Suggestions
EC: Thanks so much for the feedback, Nikki.
To all - Nikki is referring to the recent redesigned index pages for ailments, remedies and pets. Do you agree with Nikki or have any further suggestions? The redesign was supposed to make it easier to find things, not harder!

Website Questions
EC: Hi Winnie,
Thanks for the great idea. Not sure it is possible for "My Watched Posts" List, but we are checking with the programmers to see. Will let you know!
