Dear Ed. Do you have this entry in your "Remedies Section". I couldn't find it even under "Pineapple".

"Bromelain - an extract of the pineapple stem and utilized for its anti-inflammatory and wound-healing effects because of an enzyme that digests protein".

Thanks, Michael

EC: Hi Michael,

No, we don't have a bromelain page but thank you for the suggestion! We will try to create a new page for it this week.

We did create a new remedies page for Boswellia last week, fyi...

We just learned that posts sent from iPhones on Earth Clinic's mobile site have been glitching since an update our programmer made last week (or longer) and we're not receiving many iPhone submissions. If you got a white screen after clicking the "submit" button on your iPhone, then your post did not come through and cannot be recovered. So sorry!

Please hold off submitting posts from your iPhone until Tuesday morning. The issue probably won't be fixed until late Monday evening. Desktop submissions are working fine, however.

Is there a procedure for sending someone a copy of an EarthClinic.com posting via eMail? Thanks, Larry / Fairfax, VA

EC: Hi Larry,

Thanks for the request - we're working on it!

Next week you'll see a little icon at the bottom of each post that will let you email a post or share on social media.

Will Earth Clinic users have a means of sharing a particular posting with someone via eMail? I understood that Earth Clinic was to have had such such a procedure set-up a few weeks ago. Please advise. Larry K./ Fairfax, VA

EC: HI Larry,

Yes, you'll see it live today or tomorrow! We're just testing it now... As you may have noticed, we've been redesigning/simplifying the line of icons that appear below each comment. You'll be able to email or share via Facebook or Twitter very soon!

I wish there was a way to save favorite posts, too; like a folder? For example, when I come across posts I would like to save for future use, it would be great if we had an 'add to folder' option. Then, when we wanted to reference a favorite post, we could click on the folder and they would all be there, in one place.

Perhaps there is a way to do this that I'm unaware of it since I seldom sign-in when I'm here. If so, 'never minnnnnnnnd'. :)

EC: Hi Kelly,

We already have a "watch this post" icon (the eye), which people can use to add a post to their account when they login. However, it's for registered users. Don't think it's possible to do the same for those who don't want to login, but we'll check with the programmer. If you've seen another website that lets you do this without logging in, please send us the url so we can check it out.

Hi EC/Deirdre :)

I've used the 'watch this post' feature, but it only notifies me if there are replies to the post. What I was referring to is a folder (or the like) where we can put posts we would like to save.

For example: When people post treatments that worked for them, it would be great if we could keep/file them somewhere for future reference. Then, if we, or someone we know, has an ailment, we can go to that folder and find the post that we saved on that topic that also included measurements, etc.

Friends and family always come to me for natural suggestions for their ailments, and I'd love it if we had a folder with saved posts with treatments for everything from anemia to Zinc deficiency that I saved along the way after reading a post with great info and saved.

Obviously, if this requires a major program overhaul, then it would be another 'never minnnnnd'. But hey, a girl can dream. :)

EC: Thanks so much for providing more information. Will ask our programmer and let you know!

Kelly, I do that on my own: I cut and paste posts that I want to save into a Word doc.

Hi Mmsg :)

That's what I've been doing--copying/pasting to Word, but I'd love it I could just save it here on EC, since I'm here so often. (More as a reader than a poster.)

I don't know if Craigslist is as popular across the pond as it is here, but their website, which is intentionally rudimentary, has a star next to every post and if you click on the star, it will save it (right there on CL). Then, when you want to reference a previous post, you just click on the yellow star at the top of the page and *voila*--all of your saved posts are there in a list until you choose to delete them.

That feature is so handy--I love it! :)

Hi Kelly,

Our programmer says to login and click on "My Watched Posts" because this is where you can find all the posts you have saved, starting with the most recent date at the top. You can also opt to be notified if someone responds to one of these posts, or delete the post from your account. This is our "folder"... He says you have to login in order to use it, sorry!

Thanks so much, Deirdre! And no worries, I would be more than happy to log-in to use it.

I'll give it a whirl after I submit this post.

Thanks, again. Have a happy 4th weekend! :)

EC: Thanks so much, Kelly, you too!

P.S. We'll check into how Craig's List does it...

Thanks so much, Deirdre!

I tried using that feature via logging-in. I clicked on 'watch this post' but opted out of the notifications of future replies to the posts since I just want to save them vs. see all of the replies to them, and I couldn't find the posts I saved anywhere. (?)

No biggie, though. I can just continue copying/pasting to Word as I've done for years. I only asked in case there was a feature for this function on EC that I was unaware of.

Thanks, again! :)

EC: Thanks for letting us know, Kelly! We will check into it...

Also, according to our programmer, Craig's List uses cookies to store starred posts. We could add this option to EC, but the problem is, he says, a user will lose all of their starred posts if they ever need to clear their internet browser for any reason. Some people's browsers are set to automatically delete all cookies when they close their browser.

Hi, I was wondering if you can put all of Ted's remedies on a page of its own, its kinda hard to get to teds remediies. Thank you

EC: Hello, you can access most of Ted's remedies at ted.earthclinic.com. However, some of his remedies are still located on the main Earth Clinic site in the ailments section.

Once we've finished with our Android and Apple apps in the next few months, we'll start to tidy up Ted's remedies and make them easier to find.

Hi gang,

I'm confused. When I get an email with a link about a thread I am following it never goes to the recent post about said thread. I scroll around but I never find anything that has been posted in the last day or so.

Is it me... or is it Memorex??

Jillaroo

EC: Hi Jillery,

Thank you so much for reporting this issue! It's a programming glitch...

Our programmer has now fixed the issue, but please let us know if the link you receive in your email notification does not take you directly to the new post in the thread.

With the recent site changes, I've noticed that my beloved blue arrow (the 'back to top' icon) is missing. The same happened before following site modifications, so I'm hoping, like the last time, it will be back shortly.

I *love* that feature! :)

EC: Hi Liz,

It's now back! Thank you so very much for letting us know it was missing again!

When I enter the website and try to use the search engine, I get a drop down asking for language. You can imagine my frustration when I can not find english -unable to get the language thing to disappear.

EC: Hi Rhonda,

You are using our new Website Translation dropdown box for people who need to read our pages in another language. Please use Earth Clinic's Search box at the very top in the middle. That should work!

I have been following this site for over 10 years. I love it! However, lately I am noticing difficulty actually finding Ted's recipes. I spend hours combing through comments from readers to piece together parts.

I seem to remember a recipe page. Has that been removed? Do you now have to sign in to find the recipe's? It's getting frustrating since so many people alter the original recipe.

I have been looking and looking and there are references but no actual recipe.

Can you point me in the right direction? I am specifically looking for the ACV Baking Soda one for heartburn. But access to the rest would be great too!

Thank you!

EC: Hi Charlene,

Sorry for the confusion. We've moved all of Ted's posts to ted.earthclinic.com. However, some of Ted's recipes are still on the main site.

Here are 3 urls you can check out:

1. https://www.earthclinic.com/remedies/acv_baking_soda_cures.html#tedrecipe

2. It's titled 'Ted's Recipe' in the Table of Contents on this page: https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/stomach-pain.html

3. Ted's Alkalizing Formulas

Whenever I click on the eye to follow a post, I get sent to the sign in page. After signing in it takes me back to the home page. When I click the eye again, it takes me back to the sign in page. I go in circles. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

EC: Dear Sue and Maureen from Canada,

Thank you both for letting us know about this issue! Our programmer has just fixed it, so clicking on the Watch icon (red eye) at the bottom of any thread on the Latest Posts page should now work.

If I might add, another possible problem w/ posting could be nasty stuff loaded into web browsers. I use both the "disk cleanup" tool in windows as well as a basic & affordable "pc cleaner". I use both of these at least once daily and sometimes more especially when I experience problems browsing or interacting.

EC: Thanks! Fantastic reminder for all of us.

Dear EC staff : this has happened many times before. I write a lengthy post, taking great care, but a tiny scrolling and the whole thing disappears.

Have you any idea where it goes??

Namaste Om

EC: Hi Om,

Thank you so much for letting us know. Sorry about that - how very frustrating! To fix this problem, our progammer has just added undo and redo buttons to the form, so hopefully this won't happen again.

Hi, I cannot access your site from my phone at this time. Can you check if the mobile site is working correctly? Thanks!

EC: Hi Mmsg, thank you for letting us know!

Can you please tell us what mobile device (iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, etc) you are using to access Earth Clinic? Also, when was the last time you were able to access our mobile site? Are the pages loading blank or are you seeing a 404 page not found message? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

It's on a Samsung Galaxy and the message I get on your site is:

Invalid query: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1

EC: Thank you so much - very helpful! Will you please try again now and let us know if it works? We fixed the code.

The picture of the herb bunches at the home page is so pretty. Where can I get that pic for my wall paper or my header on fb? Thanks.

EC: Thanks, yes, we love it too. We found it on istockphoto.com. Use key words "hanging herbs". Costs 1 credit.
