I tried the ACV w/ honey after days of non stop coughing. It was driving me insane b/c not only is it annoying but it really hurt my throat and it gave me terrible headaches. So finally last night I had enough and decided to look up natural, home remedies preferably that included vinegar b/c I know how great it is. I found this web site and read about the wonderful results other people have had, so I decided to try it. It was awesome!! I'm still coughing a little bit but not nearly as much as the past week...which has been a nightmare. I took some last night and also this morning...although I have to admit...the vinegar really burned!! I mixed 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar and 1 tablespoon honey. next time i am planning on diluting w/ a couple of tablespoons of water b/c it really hurt my stomach but I am so great full that I found this remedy...I will keep using it from now on instead of buying expensive medicines that only put me to sleep.

My Home Made Cough Syrup for Sore Throats. I call it "Molyvite". It combines:
- Black Strap Molasses
- Grade C Maple Syrup (only enough to break the taste)
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Raw Unfiltered Honey
- Cayenne Pepper
- A small amount of pure water to tolerable taste.
Take small sips during the day. For problems getting accustomed to taste, start sipping with a small tolerable amount at first working your way up. Soon you will even look forward to taking it. You may even miss taking it. I did.
Benefits:
- Minerals
- Help Balance PH
- Send germs packing
- Increase blood flow & circulation
- Healing
- Some vitamins
Did you ever hear of Cyclone Cider? Love that stuff too.

Dear Earthclinic, I just mixed 2 Tablespoon of ACV with 1/4 Teaspoon baking soda in 8 oz of water as mentioned by Ted. However, the pH strip tested a 5.0 acidity on this mix. I then added another 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda and remixed it and tested it again -- this time the solution became neutralized to 7.0. So perhaps the correct mix should be 2 TBS of ACV to 1/2 TSP of baking soda? Just wanted to confirm with you all. By the way, I drank this today and my cold seems to be melting away! My coughing has stopped (after several days of cough attacks) and I am so relieved!!! Thanks so much for such a wonderful site!!! I am learning something new everyday! Regards, Citrine

For a cough that will not stop, make a remedy my brother and I always called Witches Brew. This was from my Great Grandmother.
Mix 1 Tbs Butter
1 Tbs Sugar
1 Tbs Apple Cider Vinegar
Melt it all together, and take while still warm,

First of all, I thank GOD for helping me find your site to try these wonderful remedies! I started out with a sore throat and gargled water mixed with cayenne powder; it helped short term. But then I had a nasty cough (associated with the sore throat), so I drank 2 Tablespoons of apple cider vinegar throughout the day. It seemed to make my coughs more productive. When I woke up the next day, I hacked up a lot of mucous, and felt like I was getting better. Then I made a pot of tomato tea and I am well again :-) Thank you very much! Your site is a priceless wealth of information."

I bought ACV when someone told me that you could loose weight with it. It also lowers blood pressure. I had a virus this year, I coughed so much the doctors put me on Prednisone. It did not help. I have asthma and recently found I have bronchitis. Nothing helped me to stop the hacking, painful cough I had, plus the sneezing and the sinus draining. I started drinking ACV and taking vitamins. It took some time, (two weeks) but finally the cough has subsided. I only cough once in a great while. You cannot use regular ACV because, it has been processed, filtered and what ever else companies do to food. You must buy natural ACV or make your own. I bought _______s because its available and the Mother has not been filtered from it. If there was another brand I was sure of and cheaper I would use it. ACV is good for regulation, drink gobs of water. You won't need much ACV, a teaspoon or so. Oh! I did loose a few pounds but, you have to drink it 3xs a day every day. Unfortunately, I am not an every day person. After reading this site I am going to try taking ACV more often to loose weight.

Just reading thru your site, I immediately got up and drank some ACV even before I finished reading all of my options. There were immediate results. The coughed eased up and as I continued reading I found some other things that I intend to try.

I am SHOCKED. I am exited beyond belief. I read your site yesterday after searching in google for "chronic cough cures". I read the apple cider remedies. i thought... no way. I had the flu about a month ago. Once it was over, I developed a NASTY cough that wouldn't go away. In fact it was getting so bad, my brain hurt when I coughed seriously thought I had contracted something potentially life threatening. Yesterday I got the vinegar, I took a few tablespoons mixed with some olive oil. Today, no coughing AT ALL. Only a tickly throat as some phlegm comes up. I knew vinegar cured heartburn but I had NO IDEA it cured a cough!!!. i mean this was bad, and overnight it's gone... I've been taking it all day - at first it burned my throat (which was raw to start). Today.... nothing. I am shocked. I am liking the taste more and more.

for a cough I always take ACV with honey and it works for me. Also I drink ACV every day it does not matter what time of the day. ACV cures appetite, flu and acne. This is something that I've been using for years from yeast infection to everything.

I had a chronic cough that would not go away. I couldn't sleep at night due to the cough and the vomiting, went to my doctor who told me it was an allergy and would go away by itself. The beginning of the Year I got the Flu and went to see my doctor, but saw his partner who inquired about my cough and stated that maybe I had silent reflux,I got on the internet to do research and thank God I got your site and tried the Apple Cider Vinegar. IT WORKS, thank you I wasn't looking forward to taking a pill for my problem. Keep up the good work and THANK YOU AGAIN.

I had a bad cough that irritated my throat. I decided to look at what to try to make it go away. I found that ACV could help, but I was scared to try it since it has a very raw taste. I tried everthing from taking over the counter drugs to drinking tea with honey and nothing worked. I decided that I would take the apple cider vineager with some extra virgin olive oil and make my own salad dressing so I'd still get the ACV without the stinging taste. I couldn't believe how quick it worked. While eating the salad, I coughed a bit, but it didn't hurt my throat. It's been one day and no coughs since.

I have found organic apple cider vinegar to be very helpful with a compost allergy and dry bronchiastis. Two bottle caps twice a day either in sweet apple juice or just cut with water and honey. It's so effective that I have discontinued Flixotide steroid treatment.

Been suffering for 2 nights (this being the 2nd night) with that tickly persistent phlegmy cough - the ones that happen almost ever 45 seconds without fail. Got out of bed to do some online searching for some natural cures (since I'm not up for going to the store for cough stuff, which I don't really like, at 2am). Found this page and mixed up 2 Tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar and 2 Tablespoons. honey - and I can already feel it working! The tickle in my throat is definitely becoming more subdued. I know I have some postnasal drip - and it won't tackle THAT so much - but I can feel myself already not having the urge to cough!!
