Last Saturday I attended a church function, dressed really pretty, high heeled shoes, etc. Woke up Sunday morning around 4:30 with the worse bout of gout I have ever experienced. Had to attend church on Sunday with really ugly shoes!!! For two days I received phone calls from church members telling me what to take and what to do.

Finally, today around 5:00pm I went on-line and accidently found your website and read all of the comments on Apple Cider Vinegar. I immediately "hobbled" downstairs to my pantry and there it sat, staring me in the face. I took two tablespoons of the ACV and one hour later, I asked myself, is it my imagination or am I really feeling less pain? Some of the pain had left after taking the ACV. Thank you so much contributors regarding the ACV. You have helped me through this crises. God bless each of you.

I have gout very bad, I'm a amputee and I depend on good leg all the time. I ended up with gout because of this. I do drink a lot of apple cider vinegar for last 20 years. I use it for other things too, but it has help a lot. Make sure it is vinegar from health food store.

OK... Wrote a few days ago after my first gout attack. 2 TBLS ACV with 8 oz water in the morning... Wow! Stopped all red meat and was eating mainly rice with vegetables and fruit... Lots of fresh cherries. Pain has almost completely vanished... Walking correctly now. Now for the question... I read that for my blood type O I should eat red meat! I live in Texas and we frequently throw a carcass on the fire on weekends.. I do not want to go through that pain again... Should I start checking PH levels... Also love cabbage and brussel sprouts how does that figure in with a bout with gout? Would appreciate feedback... just starting to GET all this information.

My dad has Arthritis and Gout and instead of on and off attacks he has suffered continuously for the past 2 months or so. He tried everything and then I introduced him to Apple Cider Vinegar and Fish Oil and he has been taking every day for a couple of weeks. He says things have improved dramatically and he is alot more mobile.

His Brother also takes Apple Cider Vinegar for both conditions too and it has improved his mobility as well.

So hey give it a try but get a good Apple Cider Vinegar with High Potency and things may improve for you too.

I found your site today while researching possible cures for Gout. My first bout with gout was 6 years ago and the doctors put me on Allopurinol. Let me tell you worst medication I ever had to take, side effects were misrible. Then I remembered what my Mother said, "ACV may not cure the common cold but sure takes care of most body aches" so I started taking ACV in water. The taste got to me so I decided to try ACV tea and low and behold it still worked, FYI 1) 16oz water bottle (take a couple of drinks out to make room for ACV) mix well and pour into a tea pot/coffee maker 2) pick your favorite tea (mine is Bengal Spice by Celestial Seasonings). Once the tea is made I place it back in a water bottle and go back to doing whatever, sipping the tea throughout the day. If I run out I make myself another bottle, but only do two bottles a day.

It controls my gout and I quit taking the med 4 months after I had started it.

If the ACV doesn't work, try dark cherry juice concentrate. It is the bomb-diggity for gout. :) It's thick like syrup, and you can buy it at GNC. Take one tablespoon 2-3 times per day and you'll be good to go in no time.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share my experience with my recurring gout. I had my first gout attack 3 years ago and it was horrible. I could barely move. I was embarrased that for a guy who works out at the gym a lot I got this. Anyways, this year I had a few gout attacks back to back and I started to take Allipurinol 300 mg. It does not work for me. Thanks God I stumbled over this site. It was 7:00 am I was reading all the reviews. At 9:00 am I wen with my son and bought two bottles of Apple Cider Vinegar with "The Mother" from Whole Foods. I drunk 8oz. of water with 2 tablespoons of ACV and felt better within 2-3 hours. Then I took at lunch time and before bed the same amount. Now I woke up the next day without ANY PAIN whatsoever. WOW. Thank you guys for sharing this secret. I was almost sure that I will have to live with this pain for my entire life. Not anymore.

Everyone should try this remedy. I have a history of gout in my family. My grandfather had it and my father almost had it. I write almost, because he managed to get rid of it. And you know how? With ACV. My father was on a strict diet, took ACV combined with intense workouts and he is gout free more than 30 years now. That's what I'm planning to do as well combined with my daily dose of ACV. All the best.

I've been using ACV as a daily regimen for a few years now. Recently I ran out of ACV and even though it's relitively inexpensive I could not afford to replace it. Within two days gout appear in my big toe and my blood pressure soared. It took me 4 days to realize why. Landing on this page made me realize.... It's the ACV! Now I've scraped up every dime to go out and buy a bottle of ACV. This stuff definitely works to keep gout away. It has other good properties for your health as well. Thank you Earth Clinic!

I have had gout for the last 8 years. First half of 2010 the attacks grew more intense with several attacks pr months. The pain circled position toe-leg-hand-left and right side. After reading these reports I started to take ACV daily from mid June 2010. The pain slowly ceased and after three weeks it totally stopped.

Now 7 months after I have experienced no attack at all. THIS IS FANTASTIC. Every day two times I take two spoonful of ACV dissolved in a glass of water. I feel it important to take the right type of ACV, I take the organic type. As outlined, it works perfect with me, and I recommend strongly the treatment. I will continue to take the "medicine" the rest of my life.

Finally a Magic Budget.Thank You Apple Cider Vinegar I have been dealing with gout for around 5 years now. I have had small episodes, along with some massive ones. 10 days ago I started feeling a gout attack in my right foot. I ignored the small pains until they were no longer small. I had a full blown attack. My right foot swelled up like a football and was red with fever. The allpurinall is so hard on my stomach that I usually try to wait out an attack, rather than try to fix it with man-made drugs. This attack seemed to be the Gout from Hell. I was miserable, my wife was ready to ship me off to some foreign country (just to have me out of the house).

To make a long story short, I started googleing gout and found this forum. What a blessing I started reading all the testimonials about ACV and hobbled right down to the supermarket and bought me a bottle of ACV with mother. I tried the ACV with honey, I tried it straight, I even mixed it with orange juice. I just wanted to get as much of it into my system as quick as possible. The results were amazing. I didn't see anything the first evening (I started taking ACV at 7:00 pm) however when I woke up the next morning the swelling had gone down at least 50% along with the redness. 24 hours later I put the crutches away (O' yeah I was on crutches for 4 days) and each day after the swelling and redness subsided. I have now been taking ACV for 5 days. I am a believer and will continue to take my 3-4 tbs of ACV every morning in my Orange juice. Thanks again for the helpful information. And good luck to all you fellow Gouters.

First I want to thank all of those who have contributed such useful information for all of the rest of us. Reading it all and using it have been very valuable. I received my first gout attack about 16 years ago. I thought I had torn ligaments in my left ankle, but had no idea how. I was prescribed the usual allopurinol and indocine. After about 3 or 4 months, I quit the "allo" and just used the indocine for pain if I felt an attack coming on. It worked for years. Over the course of the past 16 years, I have only had 2 or 3 attacks that I would consider to be "not caught in time", and none of them prevented me from going to work. I have been fortunate. All of the attacks were either in my left big toe or left ankle. Then, two weeks ago, I woke from a great night's sleep to find my left arm swollen from the elbow to the middle of the forearm. I thought that I had contracted some kind of infection or had been bitten or stung during the night by some insect. It was neither. By Day 2, I had been online and realized that it was gout. I never knew it could/would attack the elbow. Again, this wasn't a severe attack. It did not keep me from doing what I had to do that day, but my left arm looked like Popeye's left arm. It was uncomfortable and so hot I could have fried an egg on it. Not pretty. I'm not inclined to return to the "allo", so I started looking online and found this site. I started the ACV quickly. Once in the morning and once in the evening after dinner and before sleep. I take two tablespoons of ACV with a tablespoon of honey in a glass of water. It is working wonderfully well. I'm assuming that everyone just uses a dosage that works for them? I haven't seen any hard and fast rules regarding that. Also, for how long do you take it? Every day forever? I've seen one site that recommended a month on and month off. I have no qualms about taking it every day. It has even cut my appetite. Thanks again for a great site!

ACV/"the Mother", Raw Organic Honey (ROH) and Alfalfa juice tablets relieved my 1st gout attack..Thank you!! I'm 54 yrs old. I had my 1st and (pretty sure) my last gout attack all within the past 4 days. I didn't realize the repercussions of leaving some form of gout untreated for years. My big left toe has ached on and off over the past 10 years, and wow this attack almost crippled me. I was in pain and hobbling. It took me a couple of hours to realize what was happening and I googled the internet for home remedies for gout...and I am extremely grateful I picked this website which posted exactly what I needed. Luckily, I had the ACV with "The Mother" and ROH, but didn't use your recipe until 2nd day: 1 tblspn of ACV & 1 tblspn of ROH in 4 ozs of hot water, stirred; I then added 4 oz of tepid water - it makes a great tea. I saw even greater relief using the recipe, while taking ibuprofen during the day and at night elevating my left foot with ice packs. The third day was when I started alfalfa juice tablets, stopped the ibuprofen. I was in the gym again within 36 hours on 3 different low impact machines for about 2 hours.

Dear Earth Clinic, thank you so much for posting so many positive comments regarding Apple Cider Vinegar! I recently had my first bout with Gout, and ACV scored an impressive knockout! I had been taking a diuretic for high blood pressure and in my initial research I learned that my medication could be contributing to my gout. It was new years eve and I couldn't get out to see my doctor until the following monday (4 days later) I found your website and learned about ACV. I knew we had some as my wife had asked me to purchase some for home made salad dressings. It wasn't organic with "mother" but rather a typical commercial brand "pure" ACV. Beggars can't be choosers and with nothing to lose, I decided to give it a try. I followed the instructions on your website and began to take 2 tbsp with water, tomato juice, etc. Within 12 hours the swelling crested and within 36 hours I was about 80% better. I was completely cured within 5 days. My Doctor confirmed that my medication could contribute to gout and was very impressed with ACV as a remedy. I decided to read up a little more about the benefits of ACV for my high blood pressure. Well, it's been 9 days now and with my doctors blessing, I've weaned myself off my medication. I've purchased an organic brand with the "mother" (available at most specialty grocery and health food stores) and I'm happy to report that my blood pressure is steady in the 122/80 range and is lower now that when I was on the medication (135/88). Thanks again! Like the oldtimers, I've started to take it straight up (with an apple juice chaser) I have more energy and am continuing my daily routine of 1/2 shot glass 2-3 times a day as I attempt to shed 40 lbs over the next 6 months. It's the miracle I've been looking for and I'm telling the world! Cheers!

I came down with a bad case of gout in my right big toe. I searched on line and came across this site. I started by mixing 4 ounces of regular store bought apple cider vinegar with 20 ounces of cold water. I added a packet of sweetner to make it palitable. The next morning my pain had gone from an 8 to a 3 or 4. I continued with mixing 4 tablespoons of ACV with 8 ounces of water, 3x a day. It has now been 2 days and I am virtually pain free with full movement of my toe.

Wanting to cut back on my hard liquor consumption, I switched to red wine for about ten days. Just two glasses with my evening meal. Sure enough, it triggered my second gout attack. The first one required medication and took weeks to eliminate the agony. Thank God I found this site and thanks to all who wrote in about organic ACV. I went to the Whole Foods Market immediately and took about 3 ounces with 14 ounces of water. Whoeee that is stronger than straight 151 proof rum!! I did not add honey being diabetic. The pain in my right foot was reduced 80% by the next morning and completely eliminated within 48 hours. You have my complete and total gratitude.
