Colloidal Silver Effective for COPD
You can purchase a "Cool Mist" Mister at Walmart for about $36. Do not get one with a filter. 10PPM CS is good enough as one teaspoon contains about 100 trillion particulates of silver bonded onto the oxygen molecule. So not to waste a gob of money, just put a few oz. of CS in mister, and turn on full blast. Place your mouth and nose as close to the mist coming out and breathe in. At first, you will cough so take shallow breaths and increase till your coughing quits. Do this for maybe two minutes at a time and several times daily. The trick is to finally be able to take in the largest breath you have ever taken as it opens the back of your lungs and permeates where it's really needed.
Blowing up balloons gently at first is great also. You will fail at first but keep trying...Good luck

Sara: Try doing some mild buffering like drinking a cup of water with 1 spoon of Baking Soda. Drink sugar free Lemon & water to help buffer and stimulate digestion & elimination.
Take Vit-C with MSM for best results as they work synergistically.

Looks like you need to back up and try preventing any possible causes to your copd like bad indoor air. Additional air purification will help. I use a neg ion/ozone unit purchased from EBay in addition to a Honeywell HEPA Type.

Pamela:
1. Dilute it. Even a lot.
2. Breathe in deeply.
3. Good results come with time.
4. Use other methods, like putting a squirt into a humidifier at night. Or a nebulizer.

Georgios. Quite hard to believe that you used H202 for years!! And ended up with no results. You also failed to mention which condition you are suffering from, or for that matter why you would continue to use something "for years" whilst getting no results does not sound plausible to me at all Georgios. You were probably just using the chemist bought 3% h202 full of contaminants ie: (stabilisers) which is the wrong kind. The only peroxide to use is 35% Food Grade H2O2 which contains no stabilisers and diluted down properly to the 3% level. Sorry to say though as you are in the UK you will not be able to buy 35% food grade H202 as it is a banned substance in your country (go figure that one out! ) in its misguided wisdom the UK government requires those wishing to purchase 35% food grade H202 to obtain a licence to do so. The UK can be so draconian and backward in a lot of areas. You can purchase it in Europe they have much more forward thinking governments that do not infringe on peoples rights so much. So bottom line, if you are able to procure the food grade H202 then get the proper protocol, follow it properly and try again and like the rest of us experience good results.

Dear Fran,
Bill Munro used his hydrogen peroxide inhalation method for years with success. When we have used hydrogen peroxide in the nebulizer, we have used it "as needed, " but we were only using it for an acute cough.
I am wondering how many times a day are you using it currently?

I used it during long haul Covid recovery. I purchased a nasal salt spray from Walmart, emptied saline solution, cleaned the bottle with water and alcohol, then added FOOD a grade 3 percent into the bottle. MUST BE 3 percent!!!!
Then you spray into the back of the throat with an inhale. Helped me.
Slight taste, just rinse mouth with water or have a drink of sorts.

A few suggestions for COPD in response to Patti's post from 1/18/2014 regarding DMSO and Colloidal Silver
- MSM is made form DMSO, MSM taken with vit C build new cells in the body, should be taken every 12 hours to get even cell growth, add chicken collagen 2 for elastin, NAC, N-Acetyl Cysteine to help rebuild lungs.
- VIT C -1000 mg
- MSM -1000mg
- NAC -600mg
- chicken collagen 2, these items can be purchased from vitacost.com
chicken collagen 2 sold as hyaluronic acid item #nsi 3002115 you may also consider taking magnesium up to 1000mg per day, magnesium is very important most people are deficient, but too much can make you run for a bathroom,
The colloidal silver is good, it kills pathogens.

Hi Moonshamarie of Edmonton, I'm replying to your queries that you asked Patti, however, her message is about 4 years old now, and yours is so up to date hence my replying. Your question to Patti was did she take 1 teaspoon a day? And did she ingest it? She said she took the coconut oil 3 - 4 times PER DAY! And I am certain she ate it from the spoon? Because she stopped the Colloidal Silver and the DMSO and then carried on with Coconut oil! I am positive she ate it from the spoon.
I hope this is of help to you and also Mark who mentioned Patti if he is still around somewhere.

Please don't ingest store-bought 3% H202; do read about 35% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide at Dr David G Williams website (google, "The Many Benefits of Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide," find the Williams entry, which offers instructions on its use.
I had TB in service (WW2), didn't know it, self-cured it (we're giants at 19) but was a shallow breather. In 1984 I was showed lung scars on my chest X-ray and finally knew why I had difficulty breathing.
Recently my breathing worsened, limited me to four hours sleep a night. Recalling that one sister died of IFP, one of emphysema, I looked at myself at 87.
Hoping for a longer life, I'd followed an FG H202 regimen for four years -- high dosages for a month, then 3 drops a day in spring water and no colds in that time. Now deep breathing was impossible, so I upped my FG H202 intake to 9 drops (3 X3) a day.
There was improvement. Hardly dramatic, yet I was grateful for it. Now I'm seeking a Homeopath who offers the IV H202 treatment. Dr Williams says it really works on emphysema-- we'll see about that.
The government calls me a death-panel candidate, but I call them names, too. And yes, my COPD worries don't compare to those of others in this forum, but I had to offer this FG H202 advice anyway. I ask you to help yourselves. Read on Dr Williams' website -- I found it as I found Earth Clinic. By happy chance.

Sorry, I cannot answer satisfactorily to your quesstion, because I am not at all familiar with the test you are talking about. But I did some quick searches and I have a few thoughts I would like to share with you.
First, you did not explained how the oxygen was taken externally. Was is peroxyde? And how? To get back to my previous post about dosages. Consider that 18 drops of FG h2o2 in a glass of water is not the same for a man of 40Kg as for a man of 80Kg or 120Kg. I suspect that your father is very weak and has digestion problems. So, maybe the 18 drops is even more demanding because of his weakness. H2O2 will create detox symptoms. So it is good to have something to improve the elimination of the liberated toxins. Those "toxins" are not from the h2o2 but from the body trying to get rid of them by being helped with the h2o2.
So, it might be better that food are any supplements be taken in smaller portions but more often. Something that might help greatly is the taking of pro-biotics on a daily basis. The more I read about pro-biotic bacteria for the colon the more I thing it is a vital element in helping in the recovery to any illness.
If you read EC pages on COPD and do a search on the web you will find that many have been helped by DMSO, and MSM. First, DMSO is very closed chemically to MSM. MSM can be obtained naturally from food. But can be easily destroyed by processing foods. MSM is better utilized by the body if taken with glucosamine sulfate and the chondroitin sulfate. MSM is a compound with sulfur as so are the two other sulfates. It has been shown that magnesium and magnesium sulfate can help asthma. Here we go again with a sulfate.
There is an easy and cheap way to get magnesium and sulfur in the form of sulfate. It is with Epsom salt (Magnesium sulfate). It is cheap and easy to buy in North America. I don't know about your part of the country. Two ways I know how to benefit from Epsom Salt (ES). Internally and from baths. Internally, a pinched of ES with meals or beverages. Coincidentally, a bath of ES can be enhanced and alkalizing with some h2o2. Here is a good link about such baths http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1614147#i
Magnesium will also help the liver and kidneys in digesting proteins.
So, IMO you should have a multi-facet approach. Improvement of digestion, improvement of nutrition. Smaller portion but more frequent. Supplementation of MSM and or magnesium sulfate. Alkalizing baths. So much can be said about alkalizing.
I could have put a lot more in the form of supporting links and text extracts that would better help what I said above. Health can be restored but it will take time. A simple advice-Stop doing what makes us sick and start what makes us healthy.
Good luck, Alain

Someone asked about doses and how to administer Hydrogen Peroxide for COPD. I can only tell about my experience and cannot make any recommendations to anyone else. I use it primarily in am Sleep Apnea mask [PAP]. I use a solution strength of about 20%. That is 1/4 cup H2O2 to 1 cup of Distilled water. I breath it all night and if my lungs feel a little irritated I add another half cup water to make it about 15%.
I also use my nebulizer one or two times a day and there I use a 50% strength for about 3 min.
I believe I am killing all the bacteria, mold and fungus in my lungs as I don't have any more coughing or mucus since the first day I tried H2O2.
My Pulmonologist, Cardiologist, and my Gen Practitioner are all amazed at my improvement. None of them have ever heard of inhaling H2O2 before.

Encouraged, I told my friend who has the start of COPD about it, she tried it and is amazed also. The article stated it relaxes the bronchials. Yet another alternative.

COPD And A Potential Homeopathic Remedy For Frequent Upper Respiratory Tract Infections (URTIs)
Previously I have posted about the effective use of a readily available homeopathic remedy for colds and flu called Oscillococcinum. Based on the following two studies, it appears that Oscillococcinum may also be useful for people with COPD who have frequent URTIs as discussed here :
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8328054/
Here is an important quote from the study :
' The use of Oscillococcinum in patients with COPD led to a significant decrease in incidence and a delay in the appearance of URTI symptoms during the influenza-exposure period. The results of this study confirm the impact of this homeopathic medication on URTIs in patients with COPD. '
Here is a link to the second study which also showed positive effect from the use of Oscillococcinum in people with COPD in terms of URTIs :
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30665525/
Here are some of the study highlights:
1. 50% less URTIs in patients who used the homeopathic remedy(OG) vs the control group (CG)
2. Mean duration of symptoms per URTI episode were significantly less in OG vs CG
3. Greater decrease of consumption of corticosteroid for exacerbation in OG vs CG
4. Significant reduction of exacerbations in patients with the exacerbator phenotype
So, while Oscillococcinum has shown significant benefit for use against flu and colds, these two studies also show benefit for reducing frequency exacerbation in people with COPD as regards URTIs.

I have copd and a while back I talked about what I was doing for it. One was Bill Munro's hydrogen peroxide inhalation method since then I have come about a new revelation and have to share it. It is the Buteyko method of breathing.
I know there is a lot of information out there on breathing but this is definitely different. I have refused all inhalers since I was diagnosed about 5 years ago but in the last year I have gotten really bad. I started having a hard time breathing and then I started having extreme anxiety issues and after doing research I found that the build of co2 was a factor. I then tried to find out how to get rid of co2 in the body. Much to my surprise I found out from the Buteyko site that we actually had too much oxygen and it couldn't be utilized because it couldn't mingle with the co2 and enter the bloodstream! It talked about a simple breathing exercise that would actually cure asthma and help with copd. It seems like the biggest problem we have is overbreathing. My oxygen level was always around 93 then sometimes would drop to 90. I ordered a $2,300 dollar oxygen concentrator with a prescription I got from the doctor. I have never used it and that has been 3 months ago.
The biggest but not the most important thing about Buteyko breathing is just shutting your mouth all the time even when coughing and sneezing. I have sleep apnea and I take my mouth shut at night and put on my full face mask. I am now walking a good mile a day without shortness of breath and my oxygen level is alway at 94. The nice thing is it's free. All I bought was a book on Amazon I won't give you the name because I don't want you to think I'm selling books.
Look up Buteyko breathing on line there is enough free stuff to change your breathing. The Best

Thanks all for your replies. I was diagnosed with COPD about 3 yrs ago. I quit smoking then and have avoided any type of chemical or being around anyone smoking ever since. I haven't been sick at all in those 3 yrs, either. The only problem I had was coughing and after I stopped smoking, so did the coughing. The Dr didn't run any tests, she only mentioned I had that, I suppose for one of her money making schemes to keep me coming back. Anywho, it was one day out of the clear blue sky, I got to the top of the stairs and I thought I was suffocating, never had that happen before. It's been that way since. It started getting worse and I started H202. In the last week or so, I have been extremely sick at my stomach and ACV was one of my guesses. I didn't drink it one day and the pain came back full blast. I got back on it, but only 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar and 1/4 tsp bs 3xday. Last night I think the H202 got a little deeper. About 30 minutes later, I coughed up some phlegm, (white and yellow) I felt and slept better, but this morning back to like before. Now, if I take a deep breath through my mouth, it's painful to my throat and makes me have a dry cough. It's like you feel when you go out and smoke 2 packs of cigs in about 4 hours lol.
I had to move from one house because of mold several years ago, arthritis got better for a while but in the last year it's made me almost immobile. Dr won't do anything, says take tylenol, blah blah blah. I have a neighbor to check around for any mold. After Janet mentioned that, I remembered what I had learned before and that's what I'll look into first. Thanks again. I'm still open for more advice and/or opinions.

Colloidal Silver
Posted by Dave (Fountain Inn, Sc) on 12/30/2014
Hello Dennis;
If I had been diagnosed with COPD...
Taking Colloidal Silver orally probably wouldn't help too much the COPD but using the CS in an inhaler/steamer might help. So I'd get an inhaler at a Drug store and use the CS every night for a month. I'd just go that long to see if there was any improvement. IF the COPD is caused by a virus or fungus or bacteria, in theory the CS might help since the silver would be killing the infection. But if the COPD is not caused by infection then then I'd expect to see no improvement over the month of using the CS.
I use CS every day...twice daily in fact because I believe the CS kill virus infection system wide and as I age my immune system is not working as well as when I was young. So I'm not advising you NOT to take CS orally, but rather telling you that oral consumption won't likely show up in a short time as dealing with COPD. The more I can get the CS directly onto the target area the better it works.

COPD is a chronic inflammatory disease. Therefore getting the inflammatory mediator (leukotriene) under control will be vital in helping to control it as well as dilating bronchial tubes.
Some antioxidants are capable of doing this but conventional ones (vitamins C & E) may not be sufficient enough. Pycnogenol (antioxidant) was reported to improve pulmonary functions in asthma patients & dramatically lowered their need for inhalers. (Amounts taken are based on severity of condition). It tends to have quicker effect if it was supported by other antioxidants, (primary from the cyanidin groups).
Another thing to consider.... Respiratory disorders may be associated with cartilage degeneration which is also common with older people. Cartilage contains lots of water, type II collagen, hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulfate -- all which tend to deficient in older people as well.
Unfortunately, we stop producing hyaline cartilage, (the type found in the air tubes) during our teen years which cannot be replaced. However, in adults, when cartilage gets damaged or degenerates, it can be replaced with another type (fibrocartilage). From what I've learned, this can be done in a number of ways with glucosamine sulfate and glucosamine hydrochloride (properly proportioned), without chondroitin, supported by pycnogenol or vitamin c to help build collagen and hyaluronic acid to maintain hydration.
The very best luck and blessings to all!

If you are having chemical sensitivity, you are most likely deficient in magnesium, zinc, selenium. and molybdenum. It is best to take these in angstrom form - liquid ionic minerals. I went to an oriental medicine doctor. I took these minerals twice per day, 20 minutes apart. I took magnesium and molybdenum every day. I alternated selenium and zinc. For 2 weeks I took Mg, Selenium, Moly, then Mg, Moly, and zinc. It cleared up all chemical sensitivity. It took a year. I also took Jergon Sacha and a liver cleanse to clear out a viral infection that was causing the drain on minerals. I hope this helps.

Hi everybody. I'd like support what Robert said about Natural Microdose DNA. I've got an earlier post about my father using this product for his emphysema. He's improving all the time. His peak flow meter has risen even further from my previous post, written three weeks ago. It's now rarely below 200 and several times has been 220. He made more rapid progress when he started putting the drops underneath his tongue instead of on top of his tongue as he had been doing. I've just ordered another bottle from iherb.com. It costs me $NZ60 for one bottle plus courier to New Zealand, which only takes six days. Of course, this would be less in US dollars. A bottle lasts about two months at the normal dose, so it's pretty cheap, especially for something that actually works!! Obviously, other places sell it, apart from iherb.com, but if you go to their site and put "Natural Microdose DNA" or "Salmon DNA" in the search box, the product will come up and you will be able to read some very positive customer reviews about it. I hope it can help some of you with respiratory conditions, like it is helping Dad.
All the best,
Vicki

For those with C.O.P.D. & other respiratory ailments, please check research on 'natural microdose DNA' which is not a product name but a natural substance with research & use for humans & also in the veterinary fields. The price for the product is very reasonable for its effectiveness & is available to all as it is not a drug.

Answer To Bharat From Faridabad. Hi from New Zealand. My father, who is 84 and has had emphysema for over 20 years, has been using some drops that I got for him from a large online supplement supplier in America. I can't say the name of the product on this site, but if you Google "Natural Microdose DNA" you will find info about the product. Dad uses ONE drop FOUR times a day. It isn't very expensive to buy. I think it works by thinning the mucus. Dad has been using it for about six weeks, and it's the first of the MANY "natural" remedies that we've tried that's helped him. Unfortunately he's still using all his puffers at this stage, but the drops have made a huge difference in his comfort level. He is able to go for walks outside and do light chores around the house, which he hasn't been able to do for ages. A big difference is in how long it takes him to recover from breathless episodes. Now, he gets his breath back almost immediately, instead of spending five minutes gasping for air. He's really happy about that!! He has had a peak flow meter for several years now and it has always been around 160 to 170 maximum, but now it averages about 190 and several times has been over 200, which has never happened before. So, while this hasn't been the miracle cure that I have been looking for, it has made a BIG difference to Dad's quality of life, and,at the moment, he is progressing instead of getting worse. Hopefully after he has been using the drops for several months he'll have made further progress. The only negative comment I have to make about the product is that it"s really difficult to get the drops out of the bottle - I have to put it in another bottle for Dad to use. Later on I'm also going to get him some black elderberry (there's an interesting post on here about that), but for now we're seeing how much he improves by using the drops alone. Kind Regards, Vicki.
Yerba Sante

I would consider looking at yerba santa which is an herb that can help with lungs- it helps open up the bronchials, an effective remedy for allergies and asthma and can get rid of phlegm. I met a man over the weekend that said yerba santa actually saved his life. He himself is an herbalist and is quite knowledgeable in that area. I know a very high quality company that has herbal tinctures. It is called herbpharm which if you google it you can probably find it. I always look for the highest quality sources of whatever I am looking for so if someone recommends a company they are familiar with and know of the source and quality, I will take the advice.
I just googled it and apparently vitaminshoppe carries it which is a national chain so perhaps there's one by you. I find they are very reasonably priced and less than health food stores. Also, I have bought their brand of various items as the woman in our store is extremely knowledgeable and has told me that their brands are made by very high sources- some by well-known very expensive companies.
Anyway, I just thought I'd pass this info on. Be hopeful and work towards living...
The best to you, Lisa
