Multiple Remedies
★★★★☆
What someone told me to do, as she had, is to take Paul D'Arco tea 3 cups a day and to take probiotics. I failed miserably on drinking the tea 3 times a day, but I took a lot of probiotics, and it helped. Then I had one small pain in my colon, and I didn't know what to do about that. It dawned on me that it could be gas, so I took some charcoal capsules, and it went away.
I am still drinking noni juice in case it can heal the pouch I have. But I also plan on buying some papaya tablets, but I am drinking the juice.
Personally, I think it was the probiotics that helped most.

We were in Hawaii and went to an organic noni processing plant. We tasted the noni juice, bought the capsules and continue to buy the capsules. The capsules give me energy, and may have helped me avoid getting sick so far this winter. But I do want you to know that noni juice tastes terrible-people described it as a cross between pineapple and stinky cheese. Nevertheless, I am going to order the juice to try it on my diverticulitis. I have an episode now, despite taking the capsules. But I imagine the juice is more easily transported through the bowel. I can tolerate the taste of a few capfuls- you don't have to drink a lot to get the daily dose they recommend for general health. Good luck on healing yourself!

I was reading aloe could be harmful to diverticulosis on long term basis.....in the diverticulitis section in here. So strange you have this pattern. Patterns like this would have a root cause along the same pattern occurring. You might like, Eric Berg link below. I use desiccated beef liver to keep my body calm, while my body attacks the supplement my liver can heal. Also I feel led to add that msm the sulphur our body uses and has less as we age, need vitamin c to repair our tissues and the gut is one long muscle and magnesium is the mineral for muscles. Plus your collagen may be under attack and it would make the gut sluggish in flexibility. GSE is a good choice, might try some coconut water and Himalayan salt to hold water in the gut to keep it from congestion. Blessings to you, charity
Aloe Vera Juice

Better But With Side Effects
I have been taking Aloe Vera Juice (Whole Leaf) for over two years for diverticulitis. I was just in the ER twice in one week with heart issues, low potassium and electrolyte imbalances. The cardiologist suggested it could be the Aloe Vera juice and had me read a few articles, including one from the Mayo clinic, that have severe warnings about internally taking it which described almost all of my symptoms. I'm wondering if anyone has heard any dangers about it? I was happy taking it and really thought it worked; now I'm not so sure.

Look for Aloe that is made from the fillet and NOT "Whole Leaf" The latex lining of the green outer skin contains laxative ingredients and the side effects listed by the Mayo Clinic. Almost all Aloe on the market is processed with activated charcoal to remove the latex component.

Salt Water Cleanse

I first decided to try this remedy after having a flare-up due to taking calcium/magnesium/zinc tablets (calcium can cause constipation). After suffering for a few days with pretty severe pain, I figured I would try this remedy. I believe this remedy works by dissolving the contents of diverticula while reducing swelling and inhibiting bacterial growth. The next morning, I woke up pain-free!
Note that using iodized salt in this remedy probably will work but is dangerous because it may result in iodine poisoning. For best results, use filtered water or boiled tap water. I would advise doing this on a day when you are going to be home all day because you'll feel the urge to run to the bathroom throughout the day. Avoid passing gas when not on the toilet because it will probably not just be gas!

Sea Salt, Baking Soda

one thing about this dreadful condition is there seems to be no consensus on cause or treatments, I just read a medical paper from 1975 which claims it is from holding in poop and gas for too long. Which makes sense to me because I have bad hemorrhoids and have been clenching my butt cheeks together trying to hold it in. I've just had my 2nd attack, and was constipated with terrible bloating, I've tried every remedy on here and nothing worked, I also keep a food journal and it's not diet related (for me).
Well last night around midnight I'd had enough and drank a warm glass of water with pink sea salt (1 tablespoon). 30 minutes later I had a bowel movement and the solids were as hard as rocks, but the bloating was still there and very painful, so this morning I tried a spoonful of organic baking soda in water and my gas and bloating finally exited and I feel 100% better. Good luck everyone

Swedish Bitters
★★★★★
Swedish Bitter is a panacea remedy from herbs created during the 16th century by famous scientist and alchemist Paracelsus, who wanted to create a mighty elixir from plants for longevity.
There are two preparations of Swedish bitters: A small version containing 11 herbs and a large version containing 22 herbs. Maria Treben (the famous herbalist from Germany and author of the book Health through God's Pharmacy) favored the small version as she could find no difference in efficacy between the two. However, I favor the 22 herb formula and had great success using it.
Note by Rob: There is a reason why Paracelsus and Samst used 22 herbs. It may not be apparently clear as to why but there was a reason.
When taken internally, Swedish Bitters does a remarkable job of healing and cleansing the digestive system. It assures maximum assimilation of all the nourishing things you eat and helps cope with the elimination of the less desirable elements you ingest. Bitters help to soothe the nervous system, your blood, muscles and organs. When you feel better, you think smarter and are ready to engage in constructive activities.
To maintain optimum health, take a teaspoon of Swedish Bitters in tea, juice or water 3-4 times a day.

It is more likely that Psyllium & Bentonite clay stired up your current condition of small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) or even Demodex mites (parasites) both of which have been shown to cause Rosacea & Rhinophyma! Taking those 2 herbs WITHOUT combining them with an anti-parasite program or herbal "peristalsis" tonics will agravate diverticulitis in many people. Some people do have an allergy to these herbs but the allergy will subside after taking them. In your case it did not! As you claim they ruined your life? Did you self prescribe or did you consult a trained health professional? A Chinese herbal doctor can help with this problem! Both Rosacea & Rhinophyma are treatable with Diet changes & Chinese herbal medicine!

Psyllium and clay can cause constipation if sufficient water is not consumed while taking them, and some people cannot use this remedy at all without experiencing constipation and gastric inflammation. I would advise a moderately strict diet with regular salt water cleanses to clear up your condition and avoiding ingestion of psyllium and clay in the future.
