The night before last, I woke up with pain on the side and on top of my left foot. It was bad enough to stop me going back to sleep. I googled the symptoms, and gout came up as the most likely cause, as I hadn't sprained it or knocked it. The painful area was also red and hot to the touch, so I think it is pretty safe to say it is gout, something I am quite familiar with as family members have also had it.

Like probably most on here, I have a dislike for conventional medicine, so my cupboards are full of jars and bottles for alternative remedies. I managed to get to the cupboard with difficulty, and applied castor oil and DMSO. It helped a bit and I eventually got a bit more sleep. But, when I got up, I could only shuffle around, and had to wear indoor shoes when I went out because it was too painful to wear everyday shoes or boots.

I managed to get through the day, and night with the help of more oil and resting it as much as possible.

Early this morning, I remembered I have CDS, which I bought for gum issues. I wasn't sure if it would work for gout, but looked on here and saw someone had taken MMS (very similar, but made differently, and harder on the stomach) with success. I then referred to Andreas Kalcker's book "Forbidden Health" and saw it's recommended for gout among numerous other applications.

I added 10ml to a liter of water, and began drinking it a 7am this morning, planning to take it in 10 equal doses between 7am and 3pm. At the time of writing, I have taken 4 of the 10 doses, and the pain has gone from a 7/10 to a 2 or 3. I am absolutely amazed.

I recommend that everyone keeps a bottle of this amazing stuff at hand.

My husband had gout and after cutting back his protein intake, the gout goes away. Also, tart black cherry, which he gets at the health food store in capsule form helps.

Black Cherry Juice, Malic Acid Supplements

I have suffered with gout for many years now. My first experience with gout was triggered by scallops in a seafood mix from Trader Joes. That first time I ended up on crutches for a little over a week. The doctor had given me an anti-inflammatory. I don't like the idea of anti-inflammatories, because they can cause kidney damage, I assume with took much use. It took some of the pain away, but not all of it. For several years I would have periodic gout attacks, some minor and some major where I could hardly walk. I have tried many things and have come up with a combination that works for me pretty much every time.

I usually can tell when gout is going to come on because I start experiencing some stiffness and minor pain in one of the joints around my toes, foot or ankle and sometimes some stiffness in my finger joints. When I notice this starting to happen I start drinking at least 8 oz of pure black cherry juice every morning and to attach the gout more aggressively, I will drink 8 oz of the black cherry juice multiple times in a day. There are times where I may go through multiple 32oz jars of the black cherry juice before it goes away. On those times where the black cherry juice only puts a dent in the pain, I start taking "Malic Acid" supplements. In my search for natural things I could use for gout, I was drinking apple cider vinegar tea I would make. Upon more research I learned that ACV has malic acid in it, so I tried the supplements and it worked. I normally will take just one malic acid pill at a time, but if I have a bad bout of gout I will take 2 pills in the morning and 2 right before I go to bed. As my last product I will take if I have a particularly bad case of gout, I will take prednisone to help take the inflammation and pain away. For me it works better than anti-inflammatories. This seems to help the black cherry juice along with the malic acid to be able to work faster. One other thing is that I found that alcohol can be a trigger for gout for me.

Recently I decided to go ahead and have an 8oz glass of black cherry juice every morning, just to be proactive at reducing the uric acid buildup in my body.

Hope this information might help others who suffer with gout.

Red Light Therapy

I have had an agonizing pain come up in my big toe over the years and only just realized it's gout. I knew that cherries helped with gout so I started drinking cherry juice and eating jars of cherries but when I did, I felt the gout everywhere in my body, my wrists, neck, jaw, lung, shoulder blades, it was agonizing. I remembered last time it flared in my big toe, I used a wand I have that has infrared heat, near infrared light and negative ion release and when I used it on my big toe years ago, it didn't come back for years. So I'm using it again now and the pain in my toe is almost completely gone. Red light therapy is amazing for pain conditions.

The red light wand I have isn't available anymore but there are many other red light wands on them market. Amazon carries one that is close to what I have. It doesn't have the negative ion release but it does have 630nm which was shown in studies to be the only frequency to heal many cancers.

Black Cherry Juice

This response "with more pain" showed up on my thread for calcium deposits. Gout is caused by a buildup of Uric Acid Crystals. Try a table spoon of black cherry juice daily as a preventative. Also bananas, apples, citrus and other common fruits are good but cherries are best. I know we can't get the fruit year round but you can get the juice.
