Bloodroot, L-Glutamine

I have had lyme disease since February 78 and I would not be able to get through the day if Ted had not recommended blood root. The makers suggest 10 drops four times per day and Ted suggests 10 drops three times a day but Ted says to make sure you take Vit, C and b complex to heal your insides as blood root is very potent. I follow Ted's advice and never had a problem with any kind of pain or up-set stomach. I use organic blood root from the net and I use black cherry L glutamine powder also from the net, one scoop per day on an empty stomach in the AM, first thing. It stops herxing and Gary Null says it kills lyme. They are the two things that I could not make it through one day without, the rest is for hormone production and to support my adrenals. Niacin or Niacinamide is for my brain and to protect me from Alzheimers as I quit smoking so I am not getting a lot of niacin as it is in the tobacco leaves. (Dr.Campbell Douglas) I changed my way of taking the organic blood root recently, instead of taking 10 drops in water three times a day, I now put five drops in anything I drink or eat. I put 5 drops in my tea in the morning along with cream and stevia, I put five in breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacks. I know that sometimes I use more than 30 or even 40 drops but it makes me feel so good and so normal with normal energy. It will probably never cure me or kill all of the bacteria but it sure keeps it in check and it cannot take over my body and mind anymore and it takes the weakness away immediately for me. God bless Ted, he is our hero. I also found another piece of my puzzle with lyme and it is Pure Dhea caps. 25mg. three in the morning with the glutamine powder and another one about 5:00 PM to give me a lift throughout the evening, then a little DHEA (life flo) cream just before bed, about 1/2 inch not too much or it will keep me awake. I also use Pure Encapsolations pantethine 250 mg about three times a day with a b complex and 250 mg. niacinamide and an organic b complex so as not to cause an imbalance in the B's and protection for the blood root as Ted said to do. I also take 500 mg. Solgar buffered C. one Metagentics Licorice and a sustained release 250 mg. pantothenic acid, one biotin, one 500mg. Paba and two Jarrow K2 MK- 7 as it is a probiotic and it protects my teeth from cavities or gum problems, always on an empty stomach with water at least 1/2 or more before or after meals as it is a protein.(fermented soy) two 1300mg Natures Way Evening of primrose, 6 tri boron by Twinlab, one organic only cranberry capsules for viruses and it works wonders. The blood root kills the bacteria for me and the glutamine powder removes the dead cells so I don't herx and the C and b-complex protect me like Ted suggested and all the rest feeds my adrenals, like the licorice, B-5, pantething, DHEA caps and cream, and the EPO by Natures Way balances my hormones and raises testosterone levels. I also take an organic digestive aid after meals and the niacinamide takes away the joint and muscle pain as does the K-2 (MK-7) so I don't have to take OTC drugs. I also take two manganese asporotate to relieve the the pain in my spine caused by a car crash. I take one tryptophane and one metagenics magnesium glyconate to help me to sleep and one India organic Holy Basil and then I read a good book to clear my mind. I keep cool while in bed as it helps me to stay asleep with a white noise and fan running. It is so difficult to sleep with this lyme bacteria and I always take a shower before bed because I cannot sleep otherwise. Oatmeal make me sleep and especially if it has Manuka honey or any kind of organic honey in it. Honey in decaffeinated tea or organic cocoa also puts me to sleep. It was on yahoo today. Ten things that put you to sleep. I do not know how people eat oatmeal for breakfast unless it is a small amount and they drink coffee with caffeine in it or a huge breakfast to absorb some of the oatmeal. Oatmeal with honey is like a drug to me and knocks me out like a light. Daytime showers make me sleepy. This may seem like a lot to take in but it is "drop in the bucket" for seasoned, lymies. I also purchased a case of the Herb Pharm blood root, just in case they decide to take it off the market. I eat organic, grass fed and range free also fresh sea food and drink "pink water". That is a glass of purified water with an oz. of ORGANIC cranberry juice. I don't touch veggies or fruit unless they are organic. Check the "dirty dozen list" for veggies and fruit, way too many chemicals for me. I only use stevia during the day for a sweetener and never honey. Honey is for night time and sleeping for me. Because I only drink filtered water I also take liquid mineral and trace mineral drops to replace the minerals lost in the filtering of the water. Important for the neurons as we need that spark we get from the minerals and trace minerals.
I hope this post helps someone else as it helps me.
Best wishes and take care.
Pantothenic Acid and Pantethine

I have had lyme since February 22,1978. I rescued a puppy from the pound and she had 25 ticks and one got into my leg and I didn't know it for about a month. I was crawling around the floor one day and happened to sit up and found it in my leg. Well, you know the rest of the nightmare, no point in going into it. Sometimes I would feel great and couldn't remember what new supplement I had taken and then it would go away and I would be flat on my back.
One of the best ones I used was Bloodroot which I got from Ted but I had to take it with a scoop of L Glutamine powder (black cherry) so I didn't herx. Last night I was googling as usual and I remembered Pantethine for the adrenals. I had taken Pantothenic Acid on and off for years and I also took Pantethine too. I searched out my bottles of Pantothenic Acid, and Pantethine and took 1000 mg. Pantothenic Acid and 600 Pantethine along with an organic b-complex and a vitamin C and felt quite good in about 20 minutes. I am sure I found the missing link because I started googling and found nothing substantial about lyme and Pantothenic Acid or Lyme and Pantethine and that tells me that the information is very, very hard to find.
I started to google the symptoms of Lyme and the symptoms of a Pantothenic Acid and a Pantethine deficiency. From what I learned Pantothenic Acid (b-5) is great for acne or skin rashes and Pantethine is good for all the symptoms of lyme disease.
I always felt like lyme felt like Addison's disease even back in 1978 and exhausted adrenals are a Pantothenic deficiency. So at times I was treating myself for adrenal insufficiency and feeling great but forgot what I was taking. I have enough supplements to have my own vitamin store and I don't use antibiotics for this scourge. I tried them in the beginning but it always came back so I gave up on conventional meds. a long time ago.
Pantethine is for infection, exhausted adrenals, brain fog, cognitive functioning, cysts, rashes, sleep problems, low testosterone, liver problems, weight gain, angry, angry, angry, depressed, anxious, exhaustion beyond anyone's wild imagination, crawling on the floor, crying, screaming, vomiting, nausea, candida or yeast infections etc. It sounded like lyme to me, at least my lyme that I have been fighting with and googling for remedies for thirty six years. Now I am using an expensive brand of Pantethine 300 mg, 3times a day along with Pantothenic Acid 500mg. once a day for the cysts.
I always take an Organic B-complex along with the Pantethine and the pantothenic Acid so as not to cause an imbalance of the b's and cause more problems after I am feeling so good and so normal. I also take a 500mg. C and all the others like E, A, DHEA Plus Cream, 2 manganese and one organic Cranberry capsule for viruses. Cranberry doesn't work for me if it isn't organic, it just won't work. I still use 10 drops if Organic Bloodroot and one scoop of L Glutamine and Evening of Primrose caps. 1300 mg. I take two of them per day, two K2's for infection and my teeth and sublingual b 12.
It is the Pantethine and the Pantothenic Acid that is making me feel the best and giving me energy. I put idiot notes all over the house so I won't forget it again and put it on an automatic delivery in case I do forget even with the idiot notes. I hope you will please, check this information out and you might like to give it a try as it really threw me over the top. I don't know how I am supposed to feel at 70 years old as I was just thirty four when I found that tick in my leg and changed my life forever, I thought. I feel like I am doing very, well for a seventy year old. I seem to be doing as well as other seventy year olds and better than some of them. I have now started to take notice of other older women to see how they walk and compare them to the way I walk and move. I don't know how else to figure this out.
So, now I wonder if the lyme bacteria simply depletes your body of all traces of Pantothenic Acid and if you have no Pantothenic Acid you cannot convert it into Pantethine. I managed to sleep eight hours last night and I am ready to go to bed and actually sleep again tonight. Now I know why I have always craved milk and ice cream. A glass of milk has 40 mg. of pantothenic acid. It used to state that on every milk carton but suddenly it disappeared about 25 years ago. Best wishes and please google and study this information and if you are just too sick to do that please try to get someone to do it for you. Ask them to make print outs for you and maybe a kind, soul will read them to you. Eat everything that has high Pantothenic Acid in it, too. If anyone told you that your illness was in your mind and this works for you as it did for me then you will then know what to tell them, in no uncertain terms because it is your turn. Take care.

Hi, I have been researching the work of Dr. James Schaller. He researches new up-to-date material on sites like PubMed for 40 hours a week. Therefore his knowledge is as recent as it could be. There is some very interesting information about bartonella that every Lyme infected person needs to know. Please Google him:)

Very interesting about the clicking tendons!! I get this, too. If I use magnesium regularly I do not get the clicking/tightness. It is important to use smaller doses of magnesium 4 or 5 times a day. My jar says 175 mg. per dose. It is magnesium glycinate. It does not cause the runs. My integrative doctor said to take it 5 times a day. Dr. James Schaller also recommends using magnesium...even though it is believed Lyme borellia use it to make the biofilm. We need magnesium for so very many functions. Lyme depletes magnesium. Thanks for the info about the shingles. My sister had a bout with it. I suspect she has the co-infection Bartonella. I don't think she has Lyme. It is the symptoms of Bartonella that she seems to be experiencing. She has been scratched enough by cats to have acquired it.

You have some infections of some kind. You may never know definitively what that infection is. You didn't mention cognitive symptoms so I don't think it is lyme disease. The symptoms wouldn't seem like a thyroid thing either.
The inflammation in knees could be rheumatoid arthritis. Your feet could hurt too. Mycoplasma infection has been associated with that. Try the borax protocol. Minocin (not generic minocycline) would be the next thing.
The shocks in legs and burning would be a type of peripheral neuropathy. Look into benfotiamine, sublingual b12, stabilized R alpha lipoic acid.
The way you go about improving your health is by hypothesizing something and trying an antidote.

Thank you for the info here. I'm trying to research all I can. I do have olive colored skin (bruise on my back). After waking up in the middle of the night with flu-like symptons, the next morning I couldn't pick up a cup of coffee with my right wrist (pain). I also had the following symptons, stiff neck, sore jaw {right side}, ringing in my ear, both knees were swollen, a zapping pain in my left ankle that would shoot up my leg, and a burning sensation in my right elbow.
I couldn't stand for the pain in my feet. (just listing some of my symptons) This went on for months. Tests for rheumatoid arthritis were negative. Neurological tests showed an irritation in my right elbow. I can't even tell you how many tests I had all showing everything to be normal.
The only thing that's ever shown in blood test is the contact with lyme diseaseI started seeing a chiropractor and he has helped me a great deal. I have also seen three naturopathic doctors. Everything the last ND gave me made me worse. He was treating me for thyroid disease. And now I'm on my own. I no longer have the pain I initially had, although it occasionally comes back. Medical doctors tell me I have rheumatoid arthritis. (Even though tests showed negative) Although they can't explain my other symptons. I still have the ringing in my ear and inflammation in my knees. Bee pollen has really helped with the inflammation. But it doesn't get rid of it.

Rib inflammation would likely be what they call costochondritis. 70% of people with fms have that. It is usually most painful when you wake up in the morning. Biocell will improve it along with joints and spinal problems. You have a major infection in your body. I would look into the borax and minocin (not generic minocycline).
I think anyone with a chronic disease should go to arthritistrust.org and read the section on how to heal rheumatoid arthritis. It illustrates why one can't just focus in on one infection.

For treatment, I think all the testing for this or that microbe is a waste of time. In the end, you just know there is some infection but never be entirely sure what infections. Testing won't catch all the infections either. They have been coming out with a new and improved Lyme testing for decades. The best approach is treat ones body as a black box and apply the antidote then see if there is improvement. Maybe one test that could yield something is testing ones excrement for parasites etc.
I would focus on the real reason for that bruising symptom. if you have dark skin, it is possible a rash could look like a bruise. Maybe you got vitamin K or C deficiency. This requires detective work. Do you have any neurological symptoms like brain fog etc. There are a subset of people who exhibit flu like symptoms in CFS. There really isn't enough information in your post for me to make any determination.
Inflammation in your joints says you do have an infection of some type attacking your joints. You haven't really clarified where that inflammation of the joints is. Which joints. There are remedies to this.
If you have any type of arthritis, there is a real possibility you have mycoplasm infection. Borax protocol or antibiotic protocol using minocin (not generic minocycline) may address this especially if it is rheumatoid arthritis but they can address many other chronic diseases.
The problem with neutralizing mycoplasm infections (e.g. rheumatoid arthritis) is that the remedies above may not work completely if there are other infections in ones body that need addressing. For instance, if systemic fungal infections is present, that too may have to be addressed.
To help hold the line against damage in the joints, I do know Biocell (HA/Collagen) formula has a good chance of working. There may be other brands but I am not familiar with them. The key is how well it absorbs.

I have been battling inflammation in my joints, especially my spine and ribs, since the birth of my son 9 years ago. I have tried many things, with moderate improvement, but once I started taking Apple Cider Vinegar and Baking soda I noticed an immediate and noticeable improvement. I'm still taking my other stuff ... curcumin (good for lyme), minerals, especially Magnesium and boron (good for arthritis). I take gelatin (building block of joints and tendons) in my green tea (antioxidant) so there could be a cumulative affect.
However, I noticed the biggest improvement after adding ACV and BS. Oh, I recently ordered some liposomal vit C, after seeing the segment on 60 minutes about the guy from New Zealand who they wanted to unplug life support and vit C brought him back from the dead. I haven't gotten it yet, but want it to combat that new respiratory virus that is so bad. Let me see if I can find the link. here it is.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrhkoFcOMII

I believe I have had lyme disease (ld) for 4 years. The test from Igenex said I came in contact with the disease although I can't get a firm diagnosis, at least not from any doctor here. I never had the rash but I have a bruise on my back that I've had for at least two and a half years now. I had a lot of the symptoms attributed to ld following a night where I woke up with flu like symtoms. Since then I've been to Jamaica and was bit by sand fleas. These bites come and go. I don't know if that's because of the lyme or not. I am currently taking pre and probiotics, enzyme supplements, omega 3, b12, d3, and I recently started sarsapirilla, cat's claw and lysine. If anyone has any other suggestions I would really appreciate them. The biggest problem I have right now is inflammation in my joints.
Apple Cider Vinegar, Lugol's Iodine

BTW, as far as testing goes, you are off on that one as well. The longer someone has had Lyme, the more likely they are to get a negative result, even on an Igenix WB. A dx is subjective and an LLMD will not only base it on labs but on symptoms and complete health history. That is another stigma we Lymies have to battle against constantly -- People believing a negative WB or other Lyme lab test meaning we are not really sick! Please do not continue to perpetuate these myths!!!! Yes, Lyme does need to be taken seriously, and so does educating with actual facts and not your own propaganda!!!

Posted by Thinblueline (Arizona, US) on 09/08/2014
Please do not criticize other's posts when you yourself do not have all of the correct facts. You absolutely can have Lyme Disease your entire life and "not be dead". I know because I am one of those people and I am 47 years old. I went through many periods of experiencing different symptoms. I have experienced periods of being couch- or bed-bound and was unable to read a page of book, and then I have experienced periods being able to semi-function and read with no problem. It has been a roller coaster ride and continues to be. Some Lyme patients are in a wheelchair or bed 24/7, some are up and about. It's a very individualized experience. There is already enough stigma attached to having Lyme and people not believing you are as ill as you are if you are a semi-functioning person. You stating what you did only perpetuates the myth that you have to "look" sick and "act" sick (i.e. be bedridden) to actually "be" sick. We Lymies are fighting that stigma every single day.

Hi Susan,
I have two sister's who were bitten by ticks just three days ago. While I'm praying that they don't develop this debilitating disease, I want to be prepared with as many natural treatments as possible.
Thus, I have several questions.
1) The 1 gram of unrefined sea salt every hour or 1 tbsp total seems like quite a lot to consume each day. How many total glasses of water did you drink each day?
2) Did you have to consume high potassium foods, probiotics, avoid wheat/sugar/MSG, etc. to offset the higher salt intake and symptoms?
3) How often did you take 1 gram of Vitamin C? Three times a day? Every hour?
4) What is Herx? Is it very painful?
Thank you for your story and feedback!

Posted by Bill (Albion, Ca) on 06/18/2014
I've used ledum and it works well to stop itching and aching but I don't trust it to kill Borrelia. I work in the woods and sometimes get bitten several times a month. I deny being a MACHO DUDE, I just refuse to put up w/ those bites. I've found the quickest & cheapest permanent treatment is after you pull out the tick: cook the spot w/ the tip of an incense stick. it hurts but destroys the proteins and bacteria that cause a reaction, and you get a scar anyway. (maybe put some zinc & vit.E on it) The burn has to be 2nd deg, black in the middle, white about 1/4 inch in dia, and then red. The red doesn't mean much, but white is important because it means the treatment goes about that deep too (1/8 inch). If you just jab it and yell ouch, it'll be red w/ a black center but won't reach the depth of the bite. If you get bitten on your back where you can't reach it, use a mirror and ink pen to circle the spot, then have a friend, or enemy (they do a good job) use the incense. a big nail heated on the stove works but they sometimes cool before it's cooked enough.

I tried Bloodroot and probiotics for chronic lyme (36 years) and it works, I still drink it once in a while about twice a week. I just recently tried organic cranberry capsules for another virus my husband and I picked up. I immediately started feeling better from the lyme. I could not believe what I was feeling. I was also drinking about one oz of organic cranberry juice in 7oz. of distilled water. I supplement minerals and trace minerals for the distilled water. I drink about 4 to 6 glasses and take about 2 caps two or three times a day. I take magnesium and all the other supplements like stress b, e, pumpkin seed oil, probiotics, extra biotin and PABA and C. I hope you will try the organic cranberry juice. It is expensive but you just use about 1/2 or 1oz of it per 8oz glass of water so one bottle is like having 20 bottles of it. it is very bitter and strong so I add stevia to it. I also hope you try the organic cranberry capsules. Don't take it too late in the day because it will give you energy and you won't be able to sleep. Best of luck.

To Serach from Jerusalem,
In re what you think is a Lyme infection;
Obviously a manifold problem with many pathogens...bacterial...viral and likely fungal. We seem to see the whole ball of wax with Lyme.
So I use Colloidal Silver orally to start ridding the system of pathogens. I'd take three times daily on empty stomach; two tablespoons minimum. I make my own; got a little "generator" (just three batteries and two wires of silver)...and my dose is about 200 ppm. To get rid of system wide problem I take the CS for six months. I take CS apart from mineral supplementation.
If the problem manifests close to surface of skin as you describe, I take the CS mixed fifty/fifty with DMSO (google 60 minutes DMSO Dr Jacobs for good three part video). The DMSO will act as a carrier of the CS.
If I knew I had Lyme, I'd get on the anti microbial program immediately, before anything got to the spinal column or brain. Treating that problem would mean applying the same fifty/fifty mix to a white cloth and applying topically to base of skull and spine, three times a week for a month or longer until symptoms stopped. (Intense headaches, motor function problems, balance issues.)
I always make sure to focus on the "if this were me, I would try..." because I do not diagnose, treat or advise for another...all I do is tell folks what I'd do ... and usually have done if afflicted by similar symptoms.
"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem."

Under the skin of my neck shoulders it's all gravelly and stringy/ropey. It feels kind of lumpy, like its not smoothe under the skin. The skin looks ok, but it feels bad. I got some acupunture yesterday and guasha- and a reg massage the day before, however it feels worse not better, more irrititated lumpy etc.
I also have a bad malevolent kind of feeling. Any ideas?

Colloidal Silver
Posted by Dave (Fountain Inn, Sc) on 03/26/2014
To Mama to Many;
Re Lyme disease...
Of course, bacteria transmitted by tick bite is at work. Different kinds of Lyme and also there may be "coinfections" which accompany the bacteria...one particular parasite and another bacteria.
Within days of the original bite, the infection can be in the blood stream; into joints and attacking the brain.
Well, not only coinfections by the two mentioned above but there must be (by my belief in the ubiquitous nature of viruses)...but also coinfection by any number of viruses. The tick leaves saliva which inhibits antibody production by the human victim.
There is a good article on Wikipedia on Lyme.
Now, as to treatment. I've come across one case I'm sure of and another that was positively diagnosed.
Friend bitten while he and his wife were on a hiking trip to forest...the identifying round rash in his case, on back around shoulder. In days the pain had migrated to right side of neck and in a week or two he went from vigorous and healthy to barely able to walk twenty yards down the street. Mainly he was bed ridden.
I believe he had been to three specialists and with no solution...he'd been given antibiotics of course over five months.
Treatment: Colloidal Silver mixed fifty fifty into DMSO cream and applied to bite site and neck. Then daily consumption orally of six tablespoons of CS, twice daily.
I told him if the CS was going to work he's actually feel his energy coming back within a month but in fact, in the first week he said he felt like his "old" self for the first time since the bite.
After a month, he was working again. And now (five years later) he is doing well with no problems.
Now here is the problem with analyzing what happened...
What did the CS kill? Was the bacteria that normally causes Lyme or one of the coinfection assailants...even a possible virus? Or did the CS kill it all?
No way of knowing. My thinking on the Lyme issue is this: Act fast with LOTS of CS and Echinacea. The Echinacea applied topically for a few days and drinking 6 drops in a glass of water three times daily with the topical application for two days, repeating on white cloth soaked with the Echinacea three times each day...that is a new soaking each time. The idea is to have a LOT of Echinacea on the site of the bite for two days. Then on the third day, I'd go to DMSO with CS mixed and applied topically for two days. Three applications daily for two days. AND, finally I'd be taking six tablespoons of CS orally twice daily (away from the Echinacea). I'd take the CS orally for SIX MONTHS to make sure the infection was killed.
The CS must be high ppm. Mine is 100 ppm and I make my own. Generators can be bought on line inexpensively...Google "colloidal silver generator inexpensive" and you can buy one (battery powered) for 70 dollars. I make it by just adding twenty grains or so of salt to two cups of heated water (90 degrees F) and immersing silver "rods" that come with unit and immediately you see the white cloud of silver atoms coming off the negative pole. In five minutes you have a cloudy concentrate. Dilute repeatedly with filtered water until you see no cloud and do not taste any metallic.
That is the solution I know is strong but not too concentrated. I use as a nasal irrigation or as a gargle. I drink that CS four or five times weekly (five tablespoons) to kill latent viruses and bacteria in my system...as we age the immune system loses potency. But if I had a known infection I'd triple the dosage for three to six months. If I had a Lyme issue...certainly for six months and maybe a year.
Colloidal Silver

Dear Dave,
I believe one time in a post you mentioned using Colloidal Silver to treat Lyme's Disease. If you don't mind sharing a protocol for that some time, I would be interested in hearing it. I am already hearing reports of this being diagnosed this year and would like to be prepared ahead of time for my family, if need be.
Thanks so much,

Hi, I have been diagnosed by a chiropractor as having lymes disease and I am taking a variety of supplements to help me.
Finally I am doing something positive to heal. For so long I could not take any consistent steps to make myself better. I just felt too overwhelmed and stuck.
So to anyone out there feeling the same way please dont give up. Even if you are afraid to get better keep seeking help. take small steps. Ask god/goddess Jesus allah buddah, hashem shekhina, the great spirit etc, love the loving spirits spirits of your ancestors devas angels or spirit of nature to help you. If you are an atheist call on the web of life or on love to help you.
We need you.
I was interested in the collodial silver and wanted to know what is a good brand and if it is safe to take. Dave said I was on thin ice and I was not sure what he meant.
Someone else mentioned candida, and according to the person I am working with I do not presently have candida.
I don't eat sugar at all and have not done so for over 2 years, thank god and overeaters anonymous that has mainly taken away the terrible cravings.
I still have gastric distress
I used to eat 20 candybars/junk pastry a day!!!!!
I don't know if I should cut down on or stop eating grains. I eat rice and buckwheat and quinoa and fruit. I also eat a lot of chicken and turkey.
I am allergic to soy and seitan so I cannot do tofu tempe etc. beans make me extremely ill tho I can tolerate hummous, maybe cause it is mashed up.
I eat a lot to maintain my weight which often runs low.
I get overwhelmed by the sheer volume of info on here so if you can make it simple that would be great.
Does anyone in Boston area have a rife machine?
I am still having great trouble sleeping and the pain in my neck area is very bad. I dont want to take drugs for the pain if you have other ideas I am very open. Thanks
If anyone can consolidate what works that would help as I get easily overwhemed. Thanks, Yochana

LucyJane88 Our family is very familiar with Lymes. Treating w/antibiotics did help but MORE SO was a complete NO GRAINS diet, including rice, corn (grains), oats, & all dairy (casein) protein, sugars and no aspertaine or HFCS (high fructose corn syrup). May you & your child feel better soon.

Ok, I re-read what was said about having Lyme their WHOLE life, and again , if you had it your whole life , swollen gums would be the least of your worries!!! And a dose of Iodine and some ACV is not going to do anything for you, may help for that day to relieve symptoms. But people do die every day from Lyme. You should be scared of this enough to tell every person you care about more than once ...People cannot get rid of this disease now. I've seen people "Think" they've rid their body of it, only to have it return with a vengeance, also it can lay dormant in some for years. But to not take it very seriously is a huge mistake.
Nystatin

If someone has been taking Nystatin for over 30 years then at best it is only ever a temporary relief. It doesn't kill the microbes, it just knocks them back a bit.
Changing the diet has the biggest effect. Within 18 months on a gluten-free, low carb all natural unprocessed diet I was no longer a walking fungus-factory. Having enough good sea salt and vitamin C in the diet makes a big difference too. Changing the environment within the body has the greatest effect on the outcome.

Hello Yochana,
About the Lyme possibility ... I've had a few experiences with Lyme; two very successful and one questionable.
Colloidal Silver is worth of trying for two weeks. If the CS is "on" you'll fee the difference in seven days or less. The energy will come back fast...you'll feel like yourself again...BUT be careful, you are on thin ice.
CS irrigations ... sinus and ears. Three tablespoons am and pm on empty stomach orally.
Post back if you need details.

Hello Yochana,
Have you ever tried candida/parasite remedies? My son was very ill. By 8th grade he missed 14 weeks of school. He had a lot of what you have and more. So much pain in his neck and shoulders and all over really, but started in his neck and shoulders. Diagnosed with severe sinus disease, asthma, it was suggested he had chronic fatigue syndrome then diagnosed with fibromyalgia. He had extreme headaches, severe insomnia, dizziness, extreme fatigue always getting canker sores in his mouth, swollen bottom lip, brain fog and the list goes on. We had every blood test that exists and no one could say what was wrong with him. The doctor's would just diagnose each symptom as a separate issue.
A client of mine told me about someone his friend went to that he thought was amazing. He was an acupuncturist that practiced Chinese medicine. After just a few minutes with him, he diagnosed him with systemic candida. He put him on a strict diet along with some herbs. After all we went through we were a little doubtful about what would happen. But that was really it. It took about 3 weeks for him to start feeling better. But we stuck to the diet to the letter. And my son was desperate enough to stick to it too. It took about 5 mos. for him to feel healed, but he is now a sophomore has only missed a couple of days of school, takes a strength and conditioning class, can blow 450 in a spirimitor (if you know what that is in the asthma world) when he used to barely make 325 and each additional blow would drop from there, he sleeps like a teen should(like a rock and for 9-10 hours on weekends), he is full of energy and is a different person. It was a nightmare that is finally over for us. If this sounds like anything you are going through, I would be happy to tell you more.
Wishing you the best, Grateful Mother

Salt/C is an alternative for lyme disease that works. It combines vitamin C with Himalayan salt in measured doses throughout the day. The longer you've been infected the longer it takes to heal, but this works! If interested check out the book The Salt C plus protocol for lyme infection by M. Fett.

Not everyone with lyme or born with it would be dead already! I have had it 20 plus years there are over 30 strains and each case varies. Please do not instill fear in others with such a general statement. I live on Cape Cod and most of us have some form or the antibioties! They are so many factors that must be considered diet enviorment and emotional toxins lifestlye etc

Thank you Ted for helping everyone. I followed your advice about the bloodroot for Lyme. I had it since Feb. 22, 1978. I slowly upped the dosage to 30 drops a day throughout the day. Five or ten at a time. I know you suggested 3 drops but the bottle said thirty so I "went for it". I feel great. I also use two scoops of Black Cherry glutamine powder per day to remove the dead cells and prevent Herxing. I also want to thank you from the very bottom of my heart for telling everyone about the tomatoes and tomato products like salsa that cause knee pain. I also read the book on blood types and he said type O blood are allergic to night shade vegetables. I am now totally knee pain free. It took 10 weeks to feel better. I had been suffering with knee pain since I was 54 and now I am 69 with no knee pain. I read that Cilantro stops knee pain for type O's who eat night shade veggies so I'm trying that because I love Mexican food. I bought 4 bunches of organic cilantro and put it in a bowl of cold water with little plastic bags on top of each bunch to keep it fresh and now I make a shake with it. I found a ND on the net who suggests... One half cup of cilantro, one banana. About 15 organic (frozen) blueberries, 3 table spoons of cottage cheese, about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of your favorite milk, and I like to cheat sometimes and use 1 tablespoon of organic brown sugar. He said it takes three weeks to get the lead and other bad minerals out of your body and it also kills lyme. There is very little Lyme disease in South America and they sure use a lot of Cilantro in their food. Bill Mahr said that the State of Calif. Has passed a law that all food made in Calif. Must contain cilantro. Interesting. Cilantro also kills Salmonella and they have had a problem with that in the spinach fields. I also read that cilantro strips the mercury and lead and other metals that the lyme uses to make the film which protects them from antibiotics and herbs. I have had great success with bloodroot and glutamine powder and I hope the cilantro can help with the allergy to night shade veggies especially thoes tomatoes and tomato products. I use to eat breakfast burritos and they were killing my knees especially the ones from Mexican restaurants with white potatoes in them. If the cilantro was not helping with the knee pain in South America wouldn't the people of thoes countries be cripples with knee pain when they reached the age of 54 like most people with type O blood? I am trying to connect the dots here. They don't have lyme to any extent and no knee pain and they eat cilantro in their food. I think I'll do as the South Americans do and stick with my cilantro. I also use cilantro extract and now cook with it. I am trying to get up the nerve to fix some breakfast burritos but I am so afraid the knee pain will return. It is so horrid as you said that I was bed ridden because of pain from the night shade vegetables and weak from lyme disease. By the way I always tested neg. For lyme. So much for tests in the good old USofA. I will keep you posted if the cilantro allows me to eat night shade veggies. I feel wonderfull Ted and I have you to thank for it. God bless you, Rita

Lyme Disease: I was tested 7 times by my general practitioner. It was not until I found a Lyme specialist that I was tested by Igenex and it came in positive but by then it was 2 years and I was in a chronic state. 2 years of antibiotics and naturopathic and I'm finally able to function.

Hello Whiskers:
Thank you for your excellent and "packed with info" post on Lyme disease.
Of special interest to me is the fact that there are so many "co-infections" with Lyme. Does your research reveal if there are so many co-infections because the Lyme bacteria facilated them (weakened immune system?) or perhaps the original infestation from the bite brought them like a spider bite, for instance, brings not only the poison but accompanying pathogens too.
And could you explain what "zyto" is.
I've come across a few suspected Lyme cases. One after a friend and his wife went hiking and he immediately developed a rash on the back of his shoulder. The stiffness moved into the neck and he lost most energy. He became unable to work. He went to 4 specialists (over three or four months) but no one could conclusively prove Lyme. It is ellusive.
He could barely exert himself and he'd have to go to bed for a long rest if he even walked down the street. I suggested colloidal silver to him and he got on an extensive program of morning and evening consumption of CS. In his case the results were dramatic; in five days his energy was returning and in a months he'd gone back to work and in three months he was asymptomatic.
He attributed the CS to his recovery.
Have you tried CS? You listed a number of helps but I didn't see CS. I always warn, by the way, that at least in my experience the CS products are NOT alike and one must have sufficient PPM to work correctly. I usually test them when there is a sinus infection. If sniffing into the sinus a teaspoon of the CS causes the sinuses to sting a bit and then drain, you know the CS you have is potent enough to work elsewhere in the system.
Please re post and give more details about your battle with CS. Your are quite knowledgable and I would appreciate your contribution to the readers who are interested in Lyme.

I agree with the things in this post and have a few helpful ideas. The zyto was crucial for me to discover that I had lyme and 18 additional coinfections. Mostly of the bartonellas. There is candida and aspergillis too. If I had not done the zyto I think I would have spent years trying to discover all the additional coinfections and maybe the lyme too since it can be elusive to diagnose. In addition to the essential oils of GSE, OO, cinnamon, thyme, peppermint and lemon twice a day. Neem leaf tea is something I can feel break up the mucous and NEBULIZING buffered reduced glutathione and baking soda to buffer and separately nebulizing H2o2. The nebulizing has allowed my lungs to release the mucous that has been trapped for 20 yrs. Another critical thing one MUST do is to nourish the methylation cycle with hcl, methionine and trimethylglycine. For me the worst thing to deal with has been the brainfog. I have recently discovered that msg and its many names its hidden by is a major problem. Being a good diet detective is another notch in the key that cannot be neglected. Get tested for test for chlamidia, Dr Klinghardt reports 86% of worldwide Lyme patients are infected with Chlamydia pneumoniae in his experience. Another thing to watch out for is magnesium stearate which is found in MANY supplements at the health food store. Magnesium stearate is an ideal food for biofilms. One of the only companies that doesnt use it premier research labs. To heal we must support phase 1 AND phase 2 liver detox. Phase 1 requires oxygen and heat. Phase 2 requires glutathione.

If you think you have Lyme you need treatment. I don't have it but I've researched this. Please consider getting the RIGHT tests that are crucial in identification and treatment. The test your MD orders is not right. The one you need Igenex labs test it is accurate test. The reason you want to move quickly with Lyme is that you want to kill this thing early on before it gets a foothold into your system. Unfortunately ACV is not going to cut it with something like this. My friend had early detection took antibiotics was cured.

Big Yea! The Salt/C Plus protocol cured me and my entire family of Lyme. I heard about it at the Lyme Strategies Yahoo discussion group. And I bought the salt/C Plus book by M Ftt at Amazon and just followed the directions and it worked. There's a chapter in there of a survey of over 150 people who also got better from Lyme.

I have done a lot of research on Lyme. I was so sure I had it I had four different tests all negative. But I want to say it is crucial that you get the right doctor and right medication early before it is deeply embedded in the body, tissues etc. because it is harder to eradicate later on.. So I think natural stuff combined with western medicine is the only way to go, but act quickly. The problem with lymes is the waiting for the antibodies to build.

Anyone here with lymes disease? I am wondering about use of the probiotic streptococcus thermophilus that is in most yogurts. I've heard that it shouldn't be taken if you have a immune suppressant illness. I don't eat yogurt (dairy sensitive) but the streptococcus thermophilus is in some probiotics. Help? Thanks so much for this fabulous site/everyone's help.

Please find a Lyme literate doctor and go to see them right away to be put on antibiotics. When you have just contracted Lyme disease it is very easy to eradicate with antibiotics but if you leave it too long and mess around with natural treatments you could be dealing with a chronic debilitating disease - I know! I'm treating it naturally now because I have no choice, I did long-term antibiotics after 2 years of having Lyme but I have neuro-borrealisis and it is almost impossible to get rid of and now turned to natural treatments and I've had it for more than 5 years now. Please go to an LLMD and go on a short course of antibiotics and get well. Trust me - I'm normally against antibioitics but don't mess around with this.

I discovered this small black tick the other day underneath my skin and that 'bullseye' rash started, that ring, all indicating the tick has lime disease. I immediately started to take Iboprophen, and when I treated the 'ring' with Oil of Oregano, over might is became half the size! I also treat it with an antibiotic cream, however, the results by using Oregona are much better. I'm also taking stuff for the immune system, such as Olive leaf extract and Royal Gelee. Also internally I'm taking alot of garlic gloves, Propolis, Oil of Oregano (5 drops in a glass) as well as Artemisia (Wormwood); all to kill the bacteria. So far I'm feeling much better and I will continue to take these remedies for the next 4 weeks, and if nessessary add antibiotics as well. I'm doing better already!
