Rubbing Alcohol or Acetone

**Attention**
Interesting MRSA fighting discovery!! It deals with solvent-based MRSA treatment.
I was suffering frequent outbreaks. From my cheek to my armpit to elbow, knee, finger, groin, butt, man, you name it.. I tried a bunch of remedies..
Turmeric, BS, Manuka honey? No go.
I'm a bad case!
I found out about how MRSA colonizes in the nose. Logic told me to clean my nose out. I had some rubbing alcohol. I had q-tips. I swabbed my nostrils with 91% rubbing alcohol bought from dollar tree. Then sniffed it in deeply and forcefully, & let the fumes get back in there. Oh it burns.
I've been doing this for a year. I haven't had a serious outbreak since. I used to have to go to the doctor a lot. Not any more.
I still get the pimples sometimes that could go big boil, but it's usually when I havent swabbed nostril in a while.
If I get caught unaware and end up with a lump, I scrub it vigorously with the alcohol on a paper towel, with a bit of hibiclens mixed on the paper towel with it. That does quite well at fighting it, but.......
Check it out.
One day I was at work and I had a painful MRSA boil starting on my knee. (they rubs the pants and its irritating as shmit) so i took a look-see around the shop....
Grabbed the old square can of acetone...
Acetone..
Used the vigorous scrub method...
MRSA bump gone within one hour!!!
Acetone destoys outbreaks.(for me)
As far as decolonizing completely? Idk.. Phages show promise. Not crazy enough to try acetone up my nose. I hate garlic (pills maybe)
Staphefekt maybe (look it up) or clys
Now my 2 & 4 yr olds have MRSA. What the #$&! I haven't swabbed their noses, and they get bad outbreaks and I can never catch them early, have not tried acetone on them either (don't go calling CPS) we're doing big pharma on the kids (mupirocin, antibiotics), but I'm doing better with acetone.

Manuka Honey

Dear Jamie,
I would try turmeric, internally, in addition to the honey externally. Turmeric is a blood purifier. It is a wonderful healing herb and also a common spice in some cultures. We use it in some way in our family every day.
For a two year old, I would try 1/8 teaspoon in some applesauce or yogurt, twice a day. The only caution I hear with turmeric is a risk of constipation. I have never seen this happen, but to be on the safe side, especially if your daughter deals with constipation, be sure to include a couple of ounces of water or juice with each dose.
Unless this does not seem to suit her, I would continue for quite some time after the boils heal. At least a month or two or longer, to get the blood purifying effect.
If you find it does not seem to help, you might consider increasing the dose.

Hello, my 2 year old daughter has reoccurring boils on her bottom for about a year now. I've just heard about Manuka honey but I'm in dire need to find out the root of this. I understand the honey helps but I need to get her body to completely heal. Your situation is familiar and if anyway you find or have found anything that helps, will you please let me know. I had total knee replacement in February, they had to open me up again because the poly disc didn't set right. That's when I got MRSA. Of course they had to open me again, three times in one month. They tell me that even after the Vancomycin intravenousTreatment the MRSA could start up again. Could you please give me some advice.

Thanks for sharing! I started using the Iodine last night and what was starting as a boil is already shrinking. I know it started killing the bacteria because it stung as I applied it. I am hopeful that after daily use, it will be completely gone soon. I am so grateful. If only I'd known when I had the first bout with MRSA.

Fascinating article! It is humorous that modern scientists are so shocked at the effectiveness of a medieval remedy. We have found garlic to work very well for infection. Not sure if I am gutsy enough to add the ox bile though! (And wherever would you get that?)

What kind of Iodine should I look for? I just finished a 10 day course of antibiotic for a boil / abscess that I went to ER about, after my Mother whom I care for was diagnosed with MRSA. It went away but has returned. I am so discouraged. I have been washing Hibiclens and silver gel. Also tried tea tree oil. Would like to stop this from reaching the oozing etc. Will use of the iodine cure it? Thanks in advance.

I take 80,000 SU of "Serrapeptase" every day. It needs to be taken on an empty stomach and it WILL break down the biofilm. If you take it with food, it will work to break down the food and not the biofilm. Take it as a regular supplement and NAC with it also helpful but not necessary. It won't work over night, so needs to be taken regularly but it should do the trick to keep it from building up. I hope this helps and you can research it as well. Sometimes I get thick, gooey spit coming from my mouth and that is the only side effect I've had. I guess this is one way the biofilm is breaking down and leaving the body.

I have found with MRSA the most important thing to eliminate pain and to promote healing is to get the boil opened up as soon as possible. The best, fastest and cheapest way to do this is by taking regular soaking baths in epsom salt. Also, take oil of oregano 2 or 3 times a day. I usually take 3 to 5 drops in a half a glass of orange juice. The juice masks the taste of the oil. I prefer to use DoTerra Essential oils as my trusted brand of oils. They have many other oils that you can use as well but Oregano has always done the trick for me.

Iodine, Honey and Bactrim

I have had MRSA for over 3 years now on and off (mostly on) and I have pretty much become an expert unintentionally on which natural remedyies and over the counter products work, and which ones to avoid.
I can tell you first hand that after a boil is lanced or drained, either by you or your doctor, the best topical treatment is to hit the area with strong POVIDINE IODINE 10% applied with a qtip if the area is small, or a cotton ball for a larger area.
NOTHING KILLS MRSA BETTER THAN 10% IODINE APPLIED TOPICALLY!
Apply it 3 times a day topically very liberally and use a non stick pad to cover the wound with minmal adhesive tape.
The iodine will kill the MRSA bacteria effectively topically and will asisit in the wound drying up and healing.
Do not whatever you do - use bandaids of anykind ever on a mrsa wound though!
This is a very common problem as bandaids have chemical irritants in the adhesive which is very likely to cause a person with sensitive skin alot of problems.
Almost every brand will irritate your skin near the wound which can and often will facilitate the spread of a new sore to the nearby irritation or break in the skin.
Knowing which products over the counter to use and which antibiotics actually work are of the utmost importantance. MRSA is very strong and while I believe whole heartedly in natural cures sometimes prescription medications are neccessary when dealing w/MRSA.
There are concretely 2 things that I know of that definateily will kill MRSA and that is Iodine 10% and Manuka Honey. (EMF 10+ ATLEAST! )
Do not use them together, of course, but either of these topically are the two best remedies you will likely find anywhere.
Also I recommend Taking GARLIC supplements w/Allicin to support your immune response naturally, and doing everthing possible to raise your body's PH to as close as possible to 7.5.
Avoid sugar and all foods that are high in preservatives and processed foods especially as these types of foods actually seem to faciliate the further growth of MRSA.
If you are not allergic to Sulfa Drugs, the antibiotic "Bactrim" is very cheap and works to heal the skin wounds and boils in a great many cases. I have seen alot of successes with bactrim.
In 80% cases bactrim will work, the problem is many people are allergic to sulfa drugs and this may not be an option for some people. As a home remedy, Bathing in Bleach (1/4 cup) per bath and using antibacterial soap to wash hands etc. containing triclosan or triclocarban will also be very helpful.
Whatever you do .. do not take MRSA lightly!!! Even if your doctor doesn't seem to be worried, many doctors are ignorant about MRSA and a lot of people are dying in The U.S. as a result.
The mortality of longterm MRSA is well above 30%. The untold truth is that MRSA is reaching epidemic proportions in the Untited States.
I have read alot of good information on this site, but if you have severe MRSA you may not have the luxury of experimenting too much so you must be very careful in your treatment approaches.
Be prudent and only use tried and true remedies. I hope this helps you.

Manuka honey doesn't come from Australia but NZ. So if you were using Australian manuka honey you probably weren't. Also you need a high grade honey, which means it's high in the active ingredient. I spent a small fortune for my small jar, but it was well worth it. I had to have a fistula made for dialysis and subsequently got a very nasty infection; slapped on the honey and the infection was gone. Still, I went to the doctor because of swollen lymph nodes, but he couldn't take a swab because there was no pus, just clean granulating flesh.

Just an update.
Today was the fifth day with this awful open sore. It started as a pinhead and was finally arrested in its progress about the size of a quarter.
Aside from the oregano, I had been using iodine and hydrogen peroxide, and I am not certain how much of the skin lesion expansion was due to my having burned myself with the antiseptics.
Anyway, today was kind of a crisis. It wasn't closing up and was still weeping and oozing. For about an hour I thought the thing was doubling in size and I really thought I might have to knuckle under and go for the antibiotics.
I took 4 oregano capsules at 10 am. Then another 5 at noon. I was working so I couldn't really keep track of it. I just slathered it with hydrogen peroxide and covered it with a cotton wad and a bandaid. Then made plans to visit the walk-in clinic after my shift at 2 pm.
When I went to get changed, I couldn't believe my eyes. It had gone from dark red around all the edges to pink in the center and light red at the edges.
I went home and thought "Great the solution is more oregano! "
So at 3 pm I took 6 more, which was probably about 4 too many. Yes, you can take too much oregano. The symptoms of overdose are a tingling burning sensation all over the body, with skin flushing like a sunburn.
I drank about 1.5 litres of water and waited for the symptoms to subside. They wore off by about 7 pm. They were not entirely unpleasant, and certainly I thought that nothing else was going to survive the OD. If I had any fungal or viral infections as well, they were probably toast as well.
By 7 pm the lesion had dried and scabbed over for the first time since Sunday night.
Just thought I would share this about oregano. It's really a bomb, and is very very strong medicine.

OK, so I wasn't paying too much attention to the boil on my upper chest because I periodically suffer acne breakouts there. It was a little tender and itchy but nothing to be worried about since cysts feel like that on occasion. When it broke, it left a little crater and I thought "Hm, that's different".
By the evening of the next day it was still weeping, and it hurt like billy-oh and I thought "uh-oh".
I applied tincture of iodine but by that point I think it was a little late. It closed over but the tissue beneath was inflamed. I have successfully used iodine to fend off blood poisoning and every other sort of infection but this one was fighting back. It was growing bigger by the hour. I thought I might have to go see a doctor - my last resort.
I am allergic to sulfa and penicillin (and derivatives) and strongly resist antibiotic intervention because I do not want to develop tolerance to the exotics. Plus I hate how antibiotics just screw up your entire chemistry.
Then I thought about oregano. I have used oregano powder capsules (specific brand +80% carvacrol) to cure UTIs. I took 4 capsules, slathered the wound with oil of oregano (OUCH! ), bandaged it and went to bed praying.
4 hours later I woke up and the MRSA infection was much more localized. I took 4 more capsules, redressed the wound, and went back to bed.
In the morning the infection was almost entirely localized at the original pindot. The weeping and oozing around it, which had grown to about the size of a quarter before bed, had stopped. I took 4 more capsules of oregano, redressed the wound, and now about 18 hours since my panic attack, all pain associated with infection is gone.
This bug is a beast. Oregano is lysol for the bloodstream. The brand I use is in a blue and yellow label bottle. I thank God for oregano several times a year - works equally well for viruses and bacteria it seems to me.

Hi Robt Henry,
All of us who believe in natural or non-medically approved cures have probably had the experience of telling someone who is not well what we have read or know might help, and are familiar with the "I never realized you were such a nut" look! Just keep putting it out there and people have to do what they feel is best. And your delivery is always direct and to the point, which most prefer when dealing with poor health and don't have a lot of time for polite, subtle suggestions. We all know you have nothing but good intentions and have helped many who take you up on your advice and experience. You reached out to this young man when you could have remained silent, and I wish he had done what you told him, but his family chose a different path.

Dear Robert Henry,
What a sad story. I am so sorry for that boy.
I too have seen people suffer and not be willing to try something that is safe and easy because it seems, well, ridiculous to them. But I know you know that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. I don't know if pushing the issue will help. I have taken natural things to sick people and they don't even try them. Or take one dose of whatever and decide it doesn't work.

HI ALL, , , , , , , , got a sad call this morning at 6 am from a young kid that was going to work at our farm today. He said he would not be able to work because his PapPa just died.
His PapPa had a hip replacement and it became infected with MRSA almost 6 months ago. They went to many doctors, but none could help. I suggested Hydrogen Peroxide IV's. That is not traditional medicine and was rejected. I shut up. The doctors kept trying to cut out the infection and finally he was to go to a plastic surgeon tomorrow. He had been on antibiotics all this time along with vac wound therapy . I now want to cry as I know personally of people who were cured with just 3 IV's of Hydrogen Peroxide. Why did I not push the issue?
A church member who went to the great Medical School at Vanderbilt for cancer. He too is gone. I was too timid to intercede with what natural cures I know from my research and personal bout with cancer.
So when I get my comeuppance from members on this site, it rolls off like water on a duck's back. I have watched too many friends die by my not pushing the issue. You may not like my style, but I have your interest at heart.

I used a piece of raw potato years ago when I had an 'underground' cystic acne bump that burst under the skin and made my entire cheek swell up. My mom had always had a lot of health and alternative books - she read that raw potato worked to draw. I held a piece of raw potato on my face for over an hour - by nightfall it had gone WAY down. I have also used a piece of raw cucumber this way but don't recall if it worked as well as the potato so what you say here is true. I wonder if the potatoes have to be organic. So many are GMO now. When I did it GMO potatoes weren't around.

After suffering from MRSA for 1.5 years, and having to go through multiple antibiotics ( which I turned out to be allergic to, including penacillin, Bactrim, and clindamycin, and minocycline which made 1/3 of my hair fall out), I have found multiple remedies to cure this horrible infection which covered my face, stomach, neck, chest, back and arms. Taking 1 tsp of turmeric 3 times a day with black pepper and olive oil in a glass of V8 juice, drinking 3 cups of green tea a day, Mega dosing with vitamin C, and taking one aspirin a day and applying a product called Acnevir, which contains sulfur and salicylic acid( derivative of aspirin). It helps to get rid of the redness, inflammation and starts to heal the infection within 24 hours. Aspirin has shown to be deleterious to MRSA. All of this COMBINED has healed my skin and body. I will leave the reference websites for those of you who want to look at the research behind this madness of a combination remedy.

Until I stopped taking their anti-biotics and started taking oil of oregano. Both times, all symptoms disappeared within 3 days. Jojoba Oil Inhibits MRSA Growth: My family had MRSA on the skin that consisted of itchy red patches/bumps that would turn into a boil that oozed pus ect...I prayed and prayed for a cure as we battled it for months and it was VERY stressful. G-d answered my prayer, once when I was online researching cures I seen a website come up with a brief description saying jojoba oil inhibits growth of MRSA. It came and went very quickly when I tried to click on it. In fact I have never seen the site again. I had some jojoba oil on hand that I used for my hair. So I diluted with olive oil and put on my skin head to toe. The red patches/bumps that came up after this were really blotchy and not fully formed (they were weakened). I used a mix of 10 drops eucalyptus oil, 3-4 drops of oregano oil and a couple drops of tea tree oil directly on the blotchy bumps. They were gone with a matter of an hour or two. Sometimes even minutes. In fact I did the same method with on my 3 kids age 4, 6 and 14 who also skin MRSA boils and our whole family was cured within a week. That has been a year and a half ago. We have not had any red itchy patches/bumps or boils since.
To disinfect laundry I used 1 cup borax, 1/2 cup of pine sol(generic at dollar store that has 8.9% pine oil only a $1.00), 1/2 to 1 cup of Ammonia also only $1.00.
For all hard surfaces I used the mix of pine sol and Ammonia diluted in water to wipe down doorknobs, tables, light switch, counters. I even used this on a damp wet wipe to wipe down my couch and loveseat to disinfect it. I did this almost daily.
Sometimes I did use Lysol concentrate added a cap or two to the mix to disinfect home.

Just thought I would pop on here and mention that I have been using Manuka honey for four days on a many months old stagnant leg ulcer that started with a cat bite and went on to cellulitis and then MRSA in the greatly enlarged wound. I did pull the infection out with clay and or charcoal poultices... but when it came time to close it didn't really want to.
The first time I tried to use the honey it was too painful. But I spent a couple months calming the thing down with an ointment made of oak extract and a couple things. Finally I was able to try the honey again and I have never seen so much progress before. I am seriously amazed. Definitely worth a try.

Hello, You said, "some of my lymphs nodes swelling."
A few years ago I had a lab report that said, "metastasized" about my huge, sluggish lymph nodes. The lymph got working right with AG (Arabinogalactan called AG ImmunEnhancer, a disaccharide from the larch tree). It reduced my gigantic lymph nodes (ping-pong ball sized) to normal navy bean size in three days. I took 3 capsules each morning and evening for the three days. So much for "metastasized cancer in lymph nodes"! (I don't really believe the diagnosis; just think something was blocking my lymph nodes.) Blessings.

I am struggling with recurring MRSA and am fighting it with raw garlic. It seems to be working so far, but what is the link where I could find the Allicin tablets?
Grapefruit Seed Extract

★★★★☆
MRSA: I used grapefruit seed extract (gse) topically mixed into french green clay (like a poultice, buy at health food store) to draw out the infection instead of having to have it cut out. Far more effective than anything the doctors had to offer. I was on Septra antibiotic for 10 days as well. Before the doctor cuts you open, it may be wise to consider using the green clay with distilled water and between 10-20 drops of ges. You can google for proper recipe.
Two months later I have a boil in a second spot and I am treating it with clay topically and taking the 125 gse capsules orally as well. Hoping and expecting I will not need antibiotics after vigilantly applying gse.

Use Colloidal Silver, it kills MRSA....... They use it in every hospital in the world to kill MRSA. It's the only thing that works. Apply it to the site of infection, and drink it. If you are afraid to drink it, swab the affected area, every hour.... If unable to do it that regularly. Try 4 hourly. Love Andrea c xxx

I have been dealing with mrsa for six years hospitalized 18 times they all appear on my face, I'm allergic to sulfa and nothing else is working, I'm going to try the Manuka honey, but I've also read that the flora in your gut may not be there and your body becomes too acidic so you need tho take probiotics to help digestion and boost immune system. Please research this further and I hope info helps!

HI, I asked my nurse friend about this issue and she said topical activated charcoal would knock it out. She works with NDs and runs clinics... Hope this helps... Love, JOY

I have just been reading a book on propolis (from bees) and it says that MRSA has been healed by using propolis. You can get it in a tincture form and apply it to the area. It seems to work pretty quick. The book is by Mitja Vosnjak called The Miracle of Propolis if you can find it.

Do you know of anything that will penetrate the biofilm that MRSA secretes that is impermeable to ANY antibiotics? When patients with prosthetic features such as titanium knees contract MRSA, the standard procedure is to surgically remove the infected prosthesis and then treat with intravenous Vancomycin and 3 months later, install new prostheses. Is there anything you are aware of that will penetrate this biofilm and kill the MRSA? IBM/IBN has developed a hydrogel that is successful in this endeavor, but it is not commercially available and they won't release any to me for testing,
in vivo.

Dentists commonly use Calcium Hydroxide to treat MRSA in root canals, but we don't know if it will penetrate the biofilm in the case of a patient with prostheses. We are willing to try any product that we find will penetrate the biofilm and kill the underlying bacteria, in vitro, by canulating arthroscopically to allow infusion into the area surrounding the prosthesis. There are quite a few well documented NON antibiotic substances that will kill MRSA in vitro, such as oligomeric proanthocyanadins found in cranberry extracts, and methylglyoxal, the active ingredient in Manuka honey. The question is, will any of them penetrate the biofilm AND kill the MRSA? Any thoughts on this matter would be appreciated. We are trying to develop a protocol that will avoid prosthesis removal and the benefit to mankind should be obvious. These kinds of infections in patients with prostheses are common all over the world and are especially so in certain hospitals here in Ecuador.

In England, Tea tree oil has been known as a cure for MRSA for a long time. It works when the Anti Biotics can't do anything. Just put it on neat 3 times a day until it's cured. Good luck

★☆☆☆☆
MRSA: Bought the Australian Manuka Honey and used for a month. Didn't Work! Calms it down only but it is a sticky mess especially when applying to back of legs and putting pants on. Anything oily like Silver seems to spread the infection. Tumeric caused menstrual bleeding. Hydrogen Peroxide burned but didn't get rid of it. Baking soda - another messy application - helped but did not get rid of it. There was one ointment in the first aid section (can't remember name) that I got at Wal-mart that said it was for MRSA and the drug companies made them pull it because they weren't allowed to say it cured MRSA and it did!!! When I take any antibiotics, it comes back with a vegeance! Now I'm trying garlic... But I'm tired and defeated after two years of trying to get rid of it :(
