Hi, After reading so many good things about organic unsulphered BSM curing ovarian cysts I tried having one full tbs of BSM, followed by ACV 3 tbs with baking soda(1/4th tbs) after my dinner. Within 30 minutes I had a severe pain in my left leg , foot, left hand palm. I had side effects of BSM, the one I trid is australian brand melrose.
Was my intake correct, can I consume after my dinner?

My name is Cynthia from Lagos Nigeria. I have a 5.7 right ovarian cyst. I started taking Apple Cider Vinegar and Mollasses for one month now and continued experiencing severe pains so I decided to go for a scan last week and the scan shows that I now have a 5.2 left ovarian cyst as well and the right one has increased to 6.4. I don't know if its the Apple Cider and Mollasess I took that increased it or not. Someone should please advice me on what to do next. I cannot withstand the pains any longer.

To Cynthia in Nigeria:
Hello Cynthia why not tryin to make an ice cubes from herbs juices, squeeze leaves or grated garlic in aloe vera juice. U try it. And use it as ur vag suppository. Make an ice cubes and push it inside of u and place a pillow at ur pelvis part below and chill for 20 mins to 2 hours if u can. I already tried Moringa leaf but u got to strain it. Try yogurt as well it has good bacterias in it. Make an ice cubes insert it at bedtime or in the morning after u pee or during boring time. May u be healed completely. BB Sam and Mami

Cynthia & Joe and anyone else who found their cyst size increased after taking blackstrap molasses (BSM) & ACV, would you kindly share if by any chance you have a concurrent thyroid problem such as low or high thyroid. Also if you are taking any meds and eating too many cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage etc?
I am asking this b'coz female with ovarian cysts often have thyroid problems too. That is the basic reason behind molasses working for ovarian cysts. Beside iron and many minerals, BSM is rich in naturally occurring iodine. Many studies today has proven that ovarian epithelium has receptors for thyroid hormone and ovarian stroma is richest organ in iodine second only to thyroid. That is why in case of iodine deficiency not just thyroid but ovaries are also effected resulting in multiple cysts.
Here are few facts about relationship between thyroid, ovaries & iodine:
Iodine is concentrated at high levels in the ovaries via the NIS symporter.
Iodine deficiency is strongly correlated with ovarian cysts and may also be related to ovarian
cancer.
- Flechas states that the greater the iodine deficiency, the more ovarian cysts a woman produces, resulting in the extreme form known as polycystic ovarian disease.
- Howenstine asserts that Iodine therapy can reduce or eliminate ovarian cysts.
- Slebodzinski states that iodine concentration in the ovary is higher than in every other organs except the thyroid. The ovarian iodide uptake varies with sexual activities, is enhanced by estrogens and a hypothyroid state and blocked by goitrogens.
- Escobar investigated the effect of various levels of iodine intake on thyroid hormones in different tissues in the rat. They discovered that, under conditions of iodine deficiency, the concentration of T3 in the ovary was much higher than in the blood or most other tissues.

To: Rahoz re: Cynthia and Joe's comment
Rahoz, I hope you are still part of this site. I just read your reply of 2014. I have a history of developing ovarian cysts since 1990s. I have, unfortunately, had five ovarian cysts surgically removed over the years. Initially, I was told by my OB/GYN that he thought I might have PCOS but he was not sure. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in the 1990s. I never knew why these cysts developed and grew rapidly. Of course, my doctors' only remedy was surgery. I have always taken Synthyroid for my thyroid condition. I also eat cruciferous vegetables, which I was not aware I should not be eating. I developed Ovarian Cancer too in this huge cyst that I have now.
Rahoz, I would like to take the ACV and molases but I am afraid of my cyst growing and the cancer cells growing because of the sugar in the molases. I want to come up with a plan to prevent my body from developing these cysts.
Do you have any suggestions? Thanks very much for your assistance and I will await your reply.

I have been reading alot about Apple Cider Vinegar helping with ovarian cyst, but I'm still a little confused on how to take it. If someone could help me with this I would really appreciate it. I'm 23 years old and was told that I had PCOS at the age of 17. It would be really nice to get rid of them so I could regulate my menstrual cycles and have a family of my own in the near future. My husband and I have been married for 5 years and would like to start trying to get pregnant without this problem. I need the amount, how and how many times a day I should drink acv. Thanx

I was having lower abdominal pain, fatigue, extreme boating, leg pain and other symptoms and because I lost my insurance I was not able to just call my doctor. I googled my symptoms and realized it was ovarian cysts which I had years ago. I read about the aloe, beet, molasses, ACV remedy. THANK GOD!!! The end of the first day of the mixture three times a day I was 90% pain free. I hadn't slept well in days before but after a good nights sleep the bloating was almost all gone. The leg pain is completely gone. I smash 2 or 3 beets with a fork add the organic aloe vera and molasses, mix with the fork and drink it down. Then I chase it with an ounce of apple cider vinegar. I may start to dilute the ACV because it's pretty tough stuff. I still feel some fatigue but I feel and not 100% yet but it's only been a couple days. I heard I should be on the remedy for 40 days and change my diet. I am cutting out red meat for a couple weeks and anything with white flour and will cut out any refined sugar products. It will be a challenge with the diet situation but I will rather feel better and be healthier. I'm so grateful for woman who ban together to help other women. Thank you all you beautiful ladies!

On 12/9/11 I had an ultrasound that showed two cysts on my ovaries. One on the left side was 5.6 cm and one on the right side was 2.5 cm. The technician stated that the larger one was called a chocolate cyst. First thing I thought was OMGoodness.... Surgery!!!
I found this site and have been taking ACV, beets, aloe vera juice, black strap molasses and honey daily. I started my cycle one week after I began this regiment. I had no PMS and my period only lasted 4 days.... That is unheard of! Plus it wasn't near as heavy as usual. I have had a pain in my left side for years. Anytime I sneeze or cough, I have to brace myself or I get a sharp pain, especially if I am laying in bed.
Within one week I notice a reduction in the level of pain... YIPPEE! I will go next month for another ultra sound and I can't wait to see what the results are. Everything points to good news. I have to say, the concoction is not very pleasant... But better than the alternative!!! I will keep you posted :o) (PS... I am also taking moringa and Mona Vie!! )

Hi All! I was taking blackstrap molasses (2 tbl spoons) apple cider vinegar (1 tbl spoon) in glass of warm water, morning & night for 2 months but discontinued later due to travel. Though I continued with some yoga & exactly after 5 months my ovarian cysts have disappeared.
I truly trust the blackstrap molasses & apple cider vinegar & I'm planning to take it on alternate days even though my cysts have gone.
We need to wait to see the effect. Best wishes to all......

I am 49 years old and had my tubes cut over fifteen years ago. I have been having tummy pains for the last few years. I went for a scan and have been told I have a large Cyst on my right hand ovary. I can't get hold of Cider vinegar here so was wondering what else would be good. I am vegetarian and live where we grow nearly all our own veg, a lot of Beet root, and Aloe Vera.. My main concern is I can feel the Cyst most days now especially when I sit down. It is like a dull, bruised feeling. I am quite slim but I can still feel there is something not quite right. I have had three children over 25 years ago now. Any comments welcome. Rebecca

Is Ovarian Cyst different from PCOS? I have been suffering from PCOS for last 15 years. I concieved after 5 years of marriage and after lots of fertility treatments. I do not have regular periods even now. I am 37 years old. I am trying for another baby. But PCOS has made life unimaginable. I am taking 2Tbsp of ACV with 1/2 tbsp of Baking Soda for last 2 weeks. Things haven't changed so far. I dont see my periods coming on time either. How long will it take to see some improvement? Should I take something else with ACV and Baking Soda?

I think it's perfectly safe to take ACV while pregnant.
It's not a whole lot different than having dressing on a salad. And since using salad dressing isn't discouraged during pregnancy, I don't see why a couple of tablespoons of ACV per day would hurt anything.

I have been going to so many doctors and paying out the pocket to be told they don't know what's wrong with me. My husband ended up in the hospital so I decided to try one more time and had a CT scan done it turns out I have a 4 centimeter cyst on my left ovary. This runs through all my sisters> I guess I got it late. Well anyway is it possible the cysts caould have been mistaken for something else? Because my doctors thought I was just fat. Would it be possible to sue them for compensastion on all the bull they put me hrough? Now I have to follow up with yet another doctor to find out what we should do next. I am at least relieved to know what had been wrong with me this entire time. Although, I am highly ticked that the doctors were making me pay so much out of pocket because I didn't have insurance. And by out of pocket I mean a couple $$$$thousand $$$$ and all it took was an emergency room visit and to many people asking when was I due because I look like I am 7 months pregnant from the abdominal swelling.

My entire right side hurts daily and I am hot all the time. I thought I was going through menopause early but after reading this blog I see it may be the cysts. Apple Cider Vinegar / Molasses for Ovarian Cysts- No one knows exactly why or how it works, but anecdotal evidence supports the use of apple cider vinegar to help shrink and dissolve ovarian cysts. According to Dr. John Christopher, a potassium deficiency may be the cause of cyst formation, and changing your eating habits to consume more potassium may be helpful. Apple cider vinegar is high in potassium, and this may be one of the reasons it is helpful in the treatment of ovarian cysts. Christopher recommends taking apple cider vinegar along with several other herbs such as burdock root, chaparral, cayenne, yellow dock, mullein and plantain.
The People's Pharmacy Guide to Home and Herbal Remedies also mentions use of apple cider vinegar for the treatment of cysts. Mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of vinegar with 1 tablespoon of black strap molasses and 8 ounces of warm water. Drink one or two glasses daily to help shrink the cyst. It may also help relieve stomach bloating associated with the cyst. Consult a natural health practitioner for additional guidelines concerning the use of apple cider vinegar.

I am so glad that I found this site. I found out I had fibroid cyst 11yrs ago. The day my Dr. told me I was pregnant with my son. He said I had 2 little ones, nothing to be alarmed about. Through the years I've never had any problems with them until I realized my belly was getting big. I was sent for a sonogram, & I noticed the tech was taking extremely long so I ask is there a problem and she said, "I was counting but I stopped after 9. I was shocked so from 1999 - 2008 I've accumulated 7 more (so I thought). Then my Dr. & I discussed the removal of them. And me just wanting to get rid of them decided to go with surgery. After surgery I asked my Dr. how did it go and he said it went really well, I removed all 30 of them. I could not believe my ears. That was 3 yrs ago, and guess what they are back not 30, but they're here. I'm not going through surgery again- that's a bit much. So far I've changed my diet, and started on the ACV. I'm excited and I will definitely keep you posted on my results.

I started taking iodine a few months ago and felt better over all but I have not been back to see if the cysts are smaller or gone.

You could be having the cysts due to the tubes being tied, I have a close friend who got hers tied and apparently its a common side affect, She ended up getting a historectomy( sorry for the spelling)... You need to get on some iodine, bentonite clay (the edible kind, not aztec clay) and change your diet. Raw milk is a must if you can get some do it. EAT MEAT, Our bodies need good fats and I would suggest taking some dandelion root tincture, you can get that at a healthfood store, also take apple cider vinegar and blackstrap molasses in the milk, for this you take 1 cup Organic or Raw, preferrably raw milk, blend with 1 Tablespoon of Unsulphered blackstrap molasses and drink, immediately after take 1 tablespoon of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, abvoid chocolate and caffeine and I would suggest getting on some good magnesium oil as well, spray onto the bottoms of your feet before bedtime, one to two sprays is sufficient, it will make your feet itch so I suggest getting a lava stone or something to scrub the dead skin off with. Also get on a good multivitamin and make sure your eating PLENTY of DARK LEAFY GREENS, try to eat most of your food raw, of course not meat but you know what I mean, raw fruits and veggies. Hope this helps! You should also go see a Naturopath in your area, they will be able to do much much more

Hi--you can use castor/cold pressed oil topicaly around your whole pelvis morning and evening. Be generous--use some old but clean cotton cloth as it will be not washable anymore. Make a solution of warm water a tbspoon of baking soda and wash your skin to alkalize itand destroy all toxins. Use it for 14 days. You may/may not develop a rash but do not panic--that's normal. After 14 days let the body relax a recupurate for a week then continue the same again. See your MD and wait for his observation. If all is good--then you may tell him about your secret... Good luck

Here's my story. Im 34, never been married, no kids. Had a laparascopic surgery in 2000 to remove a very large fibroid tumor and at least one cyst as well as some cleanup from very severe endometriosis. I think I got it from my mother. I had it since I was very young. Anyway, after the surgery, for years I took birth control pills nonstop so no further damage could be done. Unfortunately, I developed a blood clot which went to my lungs and nearly killed me. I had my dvt misdiagnosed several times by doctors and by the time it got really bad and I realized what was going on, the clots had infarcted in my lungs and the damage was done. I had since been pretty good but not able to take birth control. Life went on, career success etc.
Last september, I finally met the man of my dreams. We both really want kids one day and hopefully it will work out between he and I to where that will be something we will try for one day. (we are not married) Anyway, just recently I had some serious pain and started bleeding very heavily and not on my cycle. I went back to the same doc who did my surgery in 2000. She did a ultrasound and found a huge cyst the size of a grapefruit on my right ovary. The tests were so hard to see due to scarring, the bleeding, gas etc that they couldnt even see the other ovary. I have now been walking around with a huge mass in my belly and have had stabbing pains. Saw her again yesterday and she said that the cyst has to go and that she would need to do cleanup on severe endometriosis. My organs for reproductivity are still present but I am not sure how possible kids still are. She gave me some hope but I am still very scared. I want a family more than anything. I cannot take hormones to try to shrink the cyst so surgery is my main option. It will happen in 4 weeks unless my pain gets way worse earlier.
I have now started taking a bunch of supplements and am trying the molasses and apple cider vinegar aloe remedy to see if it might help make a miracle. I so want to be a mom :(
Anyone have this bad of everything and still manage to be able to have kids? Im really worried here...

hi all! I am 36 years old and have a 7 yr old son. I used to have painful period but never took it seriously until I missed it last month. I thought I was pregnant, as on our son's request for a younger one we were trying. Then, when I took the strip test two times it was negative, the concerns rose. I went to the doc. Who send me for ultrasound, which showed that I have 2 cysts, 1 each in both ovaries and also a fibroid. The doc gave me a paracetamol, a hormone tablet and another tablet for what I don't know. The symptoms persisted and I went for a second opinion to a chinese doc. after going thru the 1st day of acupunture my breast tenderness has gone but yet no relief from the pain and heaviness in the pelvic.
I came across your site and will be trying out the remedies suggested with an open mind. Hoping to be cured at the earliest.
My concern is when will I be having my normal periods again, as I want another baby.
please respond.

★★★☆☆WORKED TEMPORARILY
I've been struggling with an ovarian cyst that an ultra sound found on my left ovary. I started drinking green tea for a month and the cyst shrunk significantly, I couldn't feel it anymore. However, I stopped drinking the tea and the cyst is back. I also noticed a little cyst on my right breast near my arm, it is painful to the touch so I think its just a swollen node. I've also noticed some swollen lymph nodes under my chin. I'm exercising regularly and loosing some weight, but not too much. I've come to the conclusion that I'm detoxing too fast and my lymph nodes are getting overwhelmed. I've also learned that I have an iodine deficiency that is causing an under-active thyroid, which is causing a hormonal imbalance and slowing my weigh loss. There in lies the reason why my cysts keep coming back and are hindering my success in becoming pregnant. I've been searching for alternative treatments and it looks like I will be taking some sea kelp pills to get the iodine I need to help my thyroid and get the hormones back in balance. I will also be adding the Apple Cider Vinegar 2 teaspoons with 8oz glass of water 3 times a day. I've already ordered some PH testing strips to test my alkalinity and some Apple Cider Vinegar with mother from Amazon. I'll post my results in a couple of months.

Hi Sheree , yes I put the castor oil on the abdomin area on the ovary then put a cotton thin cloth then cover with plastic then the heat pad for one hour and a half three to four times a week before you sleep then remove the oil from your skin with tissues then wipe with water and sodium bicarbonate it will remove the oil. It's the cure for Cysts.

To Beky from Highland Park:
Your response resonated so much with me. I had a fluid-filled ovarian cyst last fall and healed it completely with nutritional/emotional/herbal therapies like the ones you described. However, I've just been diagnosed with a 12cm dermoid (solid) cyst- do you think nutritional/herbal remedies would be enough to heal it? Most of the literature out there says surgery is the only option for a solid cyst. That almost makes sense to me since a fluid-filled cyst could just eventually deflate/drain whereas a solid one has nowhere to go... They are suggesting I get surgery within the month, and "not to wait"- so I don't know if it's foolish or effective to spend a few months focusing on remedies such as yours. What do you think?

Crystals are a good idea! What kind? white clear quartz?
I have wild Red Raspberrys down the street, you put it in vodka and make a tincture?
Or eat the leaves wild?
I can't find beets, not near stores, am using raw beet organic powder.
How does the apple cider vinegar play in? Drink it in water separately? I usually drink this stuff anyway, I do drink WAY too much coffee. I have a squishy bump, was freaking out and couldn't sleep. Going to try the beets, aloe vera and molasses. Do you need the molasses or aloe vera though? I don't have a lot of extra money, it's the beet itself that will try to shrink the cyst?
I think it is worry, stress and coffee.
I also don't think these will burst and you will die! I think they are common, an online article said 3 or 4 women get them. I am not trying to get pregnant, I just found a squishy bump yesterday. I am 90% raw, and 100% vegan.
I just drink craploads of coffee every morning, unhappy with my job and addicted to coffee.
My period lasts 2 days only, every month, since I'm raw it's almost gone.
I'm going to stop drinking from plastic containers too, the hormones and BPA maybe cause all this. That has been my goal for a while but it's hard sometimes. Glass water is $$
Ginger and tumeric is supposed to be good or kill cancer cells? I don't even know if cysts are cancer. probably are.

Tina: Raw organic fruit and home brewed water kefir made from artesian or spring water are the best alkyline waters. They contain kangan water that radiates far infrared waves. Artesian and spring water are good. Do not drink reverse osmosis water or filtered water from the treatment plant. These processes are not natural. Do not buy a water ionizer.

About 6 months ago I the doctor found a large cyst on my right ovary, and told me I needed to have surgery. Following the surgery she discovered two very large cysts with cysts INSIDE cysts! All the doctors were amazed, I guess that's not very common. Anyway, it's been a few months and I am experiencing pain in my lower left pelvic area, sometimes when I urinate, pass gas, or have a BM I feel that area too, and I have been to two doctors who think it might just be scar tissue, and recommended that I stretch and use something that warms the area, a homeopathic gel.
Two days ago I started taking chaste-berry supplements a couple times a day, along with a liver supplement(found at a local health foods store), starting eliminating too much sugar (I have a sweet tooth), eating yogurt in the morning, exercising as usual, and for the past two days the pain has been EXTREMELY lessened. I have a check-up appt. Thurs. and another in 2 months, as I have another very small cyst on my right side! I am going to try this beet/carrot/molasses mixture ASAP! I am reading a lot into natural cures, and they all seem much more appealing than conventional methods.
Thanks for the info. everyone!

I have recently been told I have two cysts on my right ovary. I had my left ovary removed about 11 years ago for the same reason plus endrometriosis/black cysts. I have to see a GYNO in August but I know what I'm going to hear- the same thing I heard before. Try the pill and possible surgery. I don't want to go that route. I read about the beet/molasses/aloe vera treatment and have started it. Can I take them separately to still be effective and what can I do to get rid of the swollen uterus? It is sooo uncomfortable. I am also taking vitex 3x day. I am a thin person but feel like I'm three months pregnant. (no fibroids found) Will this remedy take a lot of time to see results?

Take the blackstrap molasses cure but make sure you take iodine tablets or lugol's iodine drops aswell. Take separately or together- with water. Change your diet to include more green leafy veg. Look at cures for liver and gall bladder issues. These issues often occur together- it's due to toxicity / over acid bodies/ constipation.

★★★☆☆BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS
Started taking a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in a pint of water (large tumbler) in the hope it would help with both an ovarian cyst and a fibroid. I like to take it a sip at a time and the drink usually lasts me all evening.
Ovarian cyst "disappeared" within three weeks of taking (not sure if it would have gone on it's own but my consultant was pretty surprised to see it had disappeared at my follow-up appointment). Also my bloated stomach has become much flatter and less flabby!
Have continued taking ACV in the hope it will also lessen the size of the fibroid I have, although since taking it I am experiencing cramps in the area that my fibroid is in. I am persevering with it for now in the hope that the slight cramping feeling is due to the area being "detoxed". Am also experiencing a slight "heavy" feeling in my legs - but nothing too uncomfortable.
Out of curiosity has anyone else experienced cramping in this area (legs, womb) as a result of taking?

I was wondering just what does a fibroid feel like? I regularly take apple cider vinegar and I had cysts but never had any issues with them, pain wise. However I do sometimes have cramping near my pelvic area and I have to be careful not to lift anything heavy or push anything with my legs or the cramps come back. And it it very uncomfortable! I also notice if I stand too long or bend over too much I have pain at night. The thing that seems to help is staying away from sugar. But I really don't know for sure what is wrong...does it sound like fibroids? Help anybody!

Posted by Annie (L.a., Ca) on 03/13/2010
When I had a fibroid, these were the things that I felt: My period was heavier than usual. I would get bloated really easily after eating, especially after eating dairy. I sometimes would feel a "pulling" sensation kind of off center in my stomach area. On one occasion during sexual relations with my hubby, I felt this uncomfortable sharpish pain in my vagina.
Changing my diet did seem to alleviate some of the symptoms (like the bloating).
But everyone's symptoms can be different. I have read that a fibroid can cause back pain. It really depends on the size and location of the fibroid.
I hope my answer helped somewhat :-)

Hi,
I am having 1.7 and 1 cm cyst in both ovaries. I have started taking Apple Cider Vinegar from last two weeks. It has stopped my bleeding problem as I was having extremely irregular periods from last 2-3 months. Now my bleeding is gone by taking ACV but from past two days I am having pain in my lower body (lower back abdomen and thighs). I read the TED's remedy, he has asked to take baking soda with ACV. So from past two days I am taking baking soda with ACV. I am really worried, it seems like my cysts are growing cuz I did not feel this kind of pain before. Is it because I took baking soda with ACV? Should I take ACV alone?

Hi Yana, pain in legs is a usual fibroid symptom. Well, as Annie says, every woman can have different ones. Also fibroids, like cysts, can be cured naturally. Cider vinegar is great but probably only one piece in the cure puzzle. I would be seriously thinking about avoiding certain foods that contain hormones, like meat, eggs, dairy products, and foods with chemicals and additives. It may sound strange but the hormones from the food comes to your body, they circle in your blood and end up in organs and places where they can cause growths connected to hormones, such as fibroids or ovarian cysts. Hi, I own a masticating juice and it is very easy to make any kind of juice, be it fruit or vegetables, even herbs. You can Google masticating juicers and get more information. As they turn quite slowly they keep all the enzymes alive, the juices also keep a wonderful color even if you keep them 24 hours in the fridge, they don't oxidize. If you throw the pulp in a few times you get all the juice out of it and actually the juice becomes a smoothie without containing too much pulp which many people don't like and to be honest I don't like either!

So far so good! Only 1 day of this mixture: 1 tbsp of each... Organic unsulphered black molasses, organic aloe vera juice and organic beet juice in a glass last night, this morning and tonight and my bloating that I had for about 4 weeks have subsided immediately. (touch wood) I had a pap on Monday and an ultrasound on Tuesday. I was told that I have a cyst on both my ovaries (left: 2cm and right: 4cm) since September and this is because of Endometriosis. I haven't felt this good in weeks. 2 surgeries to remove cysts and I refuse to go for a 3rd time and I want kids one day. Too much surgery in the same area will mess you up with scar tissue which is what you are trying to eliminate. I am also adding 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar and 3 iodine drops to 1 8-once glass of water 3x a day and irregular bleeding I had for about 2 weeks has ceased immensely. Wish me luck... I know these cysts will be smaller if not gone just like the other success stories on here. I'll post my results on how I feel in a month. Thank you everyone. Oh! Vitex tablets and boraga oil (omega 6) help with circulation of periods too.

Is the Red Raspberry tincture made from the leaves, the berries, or both? And is it from the common/garden Raspberry plant, or from the family (raspberry, salmonberry, thimbleberry, etc.) in general? I take a tea of one or two whole dried Thimbleberry leaves for menstrual 'bloating' (or it could be cramps or both, I'm not sure); I'm curious if a Thimbleberry tincture would also possess the pain-relieving qualities outside of the menses that you mentioned. Do you think it would be harmful to take for pain caused by ovarian cysts?

I've been having pain in my lower right abdomen for the last month. Due to current health insurance status, I can't make any Dr. Appointments until next year. But a friend of mine is a general prac and she said it sounded like a cyst or fibroid. I came to to this site to find ways to alleviate the pain until I could get an ultrasound done to verify that it is a cyst. I wasn't sure what SSKI was, so I ended up getting a bottle of Bernard Jensen's brand liqui-dulse at the farmer's market. The suggested dosage is 4 drops per day, which equates to 225mcg of iodine. I've been mixing it with my water/apple cider vinegar drink for the last 4 days, and the pain is practically gone. I only get a twinge once or twice. I am shocked at how fast this seems to have worked. I'm going to continue drinking this, and if the pains subsides completely, may not ever get that ultrasound.

Have you tried switching from regular yogurt to soy or a coconut based yogurt instead? You can find them at WholeFoods or possibly an organic store. Cutting out the dairy in your diet really would help. There is a downside. These types of yogurt cost twice as much and can be harder to find. It will also take your taste buds some time to adapt, but the rewards are definently worth it. You feel better. You really do.

I agree with the soy. I also read that. To only consume soy in moderation if at all.

can i ask why Alcoholic beverages are a definite no while taking this? I dont want to sound stupid, but I am going to a coctail party this weekend and was wondering how harmful a glass of wine would be. I have been taking your beet, mollasses carrots and green apples in a juice blend. i did not have non alcoholic red wine in the house so i subbed green apples in my juicer. the one thing i have noticed so far is how gassy i have become while drinking this in a shot glass before every meal. Is this typical? thanks sara

Any other positive stories on how to get rid of this? I am doing hydrogen peroxide and the Mary Parker program now, but still often feel a pain around that area so I don't think it is helping. Hi Tina, sorry for being late to answer. I was out of country, hope that castor oil cured your cyst! No you don't need to put all day , your skin pores shouldn't be blocked all day , when you remove the oil use sodium bicarbonate disolved in water for wiping your skin, it will clear oil very fast. The molasses I drink 1 teaspoon daily, I like the taste.

Barefoot,
I can comment on my own experience re iodine deficiency. I'm allergic to iodine (well, I was told that when I had an allergic reaction when it was intravenously introduced for a brain scan when I was 12) so I really cut out all iodine from my diet. Eight years later I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst - they put me on the pill and told me it would pass - nope, it burst and I had an emergency laproscopy. I'm glad to now be informed of this site for any future ailments. Would love to hear how Valerie's problem turned out and if the alkaline water helped.

Jenny; You might want to seek a homopathic or "holistic" health care provider, other wise always be sure to get more than one doctors opinion in a different area/town then the Dr. you have already seen. Try to stay strong for your mom.
Either way I think your mother will be ok, we shall all pray together for her. good luck & god bless you both.

I have 7 large cysts on my ovaries after being stimulated for an IUI all are between a 2 and a 6 cm. I am in pain and it has almost been a month since I had my last ultrasound and the pain is growing so I know they are not decreasing. When I go back next I am hoping for them to be gone as I would love to be able to try for our baby before the end of the year. I have tried the Apple Cider Vinegar the last two nights and now I am going to try the beets, molasses, aloe combination. I am desperate at this point to get rid of the cysts! Has anyone mixed the ACV with anything that can mask the nasty taste?

Regarding Iodine deficiency and ovarian cysts...
A red flag went up for me when I saw someone suggest that Iodine deficiency causes them. I say this because my holistic doctor tested me months ago, and I had Iodine deficiency and once they gave me a little bit, then I stopped taking it, my thyroid swelling, like it wanted more. So I kept taking it and felt pretty good. I also have estrogen dominance, so I take oral bioidentical progesterone before my period starts to try and even that out.
Well, on my last period I had run out of Iodine and since I recently lost my job, I was trying to cut back and hadn't ordered it yet. As a result, my thyroid's been swelling and about the same time as I took the progesterone this past month, I felt swelling and pain in my sides. After some ultrasounds (CT scans were suggested, but it has a lot of radiation) they found cysts had formed. I have never had cysts before (23, one child) and I was quite surprised... but I had been on birth control up until I started taking the progesterone/iodine as well.
So I began looking for natural things that people claim have worked and only got to the second post when I saw the iodine deficiency suggestion. Needless to say, I've already reordered my Iodoral to see if it works. I'll be able to tell because the cysts are swollen and occasionally pains me, but I'll have another ultrasound as soon as I can afford it anyway to confirm whether it's gotten larger or smaller or vanished. I will reply back in a few months.

ACV to combat the nasty taste you can use lemon and cinnamon and make it like a tea and drink. Or you can add to 1/4 cup of water plug your nose and shoot it, like a shot make sure to have something yummy before you let your nose go... I use pineapple rinse well you don't want it sitting on your teeth. Good Luck

I am suffering with the same problem I found a website that gave a recipe for healing of ovarian cyst that this person says the cyst disappeared in only a few weeks. The purchase of these items cost me about $60 from the health food store.
Ovarian Cyst Tincture
l teaspoon each tinctures of burdock root, vitex berries, red rasberry leaves and motherwort leaves.
1/2 teaspoon each tincturers of prickly ash bark & ginger rhizome.
Combine ingredients. Take a half a dropperful 2 or 3 times daily.

Great herbs; Thank you. I am going to try this.
Susan S. Weed, a well-known herbalist also states that Chickweed tincture (made with fresh chickweed only, not dried) is excellent for shrinking ovarian cysts. It isn't readily available, but I had my local herb store commission an herb grower to make it for me. If you are an expert herbalist type it does grow fresh in many regions, but be sure you know how to identify it should you make your own tincture.
I am going to continue it along with the other herbs you describe.

It's been a year and a half since she posted this ovarian cyst concoction, so it doesn't appear that Julissa is going to write us all back any time soon!
I am guessing that this recipe is: a standard dose of molasses, i.e., 1 to 2 tablespoons (but be careful if you are diabetic, watch the sugar content), 1/3 cup of beets, and 1/3 cup of aloe vera juice. Beets can make people very nauseous if eaten on an empty stomach, so start out with less if the beets are fresh. Canned beets might not cause nausea.
Ladies, experiment and write us back with your dosages and recipes! We're on our own!!

Hello ladies, I'd say, don't feel lost. We have a big clue about the Ingredients, we can always experiment with dosage using common sense, I'd say, half a cup of beet juice mixed with 1 tblsp. of Molasses and a tsp. or 2 of aloe vera edible jel or half a cup of aloe vera juice, mix and drink. Good health food stores also sell Beet capsules or find them online. Beet juice is also available. I am taking both with Molasses. Oh, and not everyone is suited to Aloe Vera, you can be allergic, apply it on your body part to see if you develop a rash, test for a week. If not, AV is safe for you. Since I am allergic to it, I am skipping it. Whatsmore, I found an article on this Dominican remedy which only mentions Beet & Molasses, not Aloe Vera. So there's hope. I think the Main ingredient here is Beet. Check this article out -

I was diagnosed with 2 3cm cysts on my left ovary last weekend and my doctor said that if in 6 months I still cant conceive, ill need to undergo another surgery (which i had 3 years ago when they found 5cm and 7cm cysts on each ovary!). I definitely dont want to undergo surgery again so I am trying other natural remedies to get rid of them.
I started drinking apple cider vinegar in the mornings mixed into a glass full of water. We've also switched to alkaline water as well. And just to be sure, I made some beet, molasses and aloe vera juice yesterday.
I bought 6 beets (about 2.5lbs worth of beets), a whole aloe vera leaf and a box of powdered molasses (there were liquid ones too but i saw the sugar-like one first). I peeled the beets and put them in our juicer. Mixed in the inside of the aloe vera leaf (which looks like a clear gel) and then chucked in half the box of the molasses. I drink 1/2 cup in the morning and another 1/2 cup at night! And the rest goes in the fridge.
Hope this works... ill post my results when i go for another scan!

I did a lot of reading (because it fascinated me) about Serrapeptase. I'm not sure if I'm spelling that correctly but I was researching some other "female" problems and ovarian cysts came up. There seemed to be a lot of women who were taking this enzyme (I believe it's an enzyme) and they were able to get rid of the cysts. It took some time, it didn't happen over night, but they were all pleased about avoiding surgery. You may want to do an internet search to see what you find on it. And good luck.

Charlotte, thanks for pointing out the benefits of aloe vera and beets. I'm the opposite-- I understand the benefits of molasses but don't know why beets and aloe vera would be helpful. Do you have a link to the studies?I've been taking the unsulphured blackstrap molasses for 2 months now. I'm lazy about the beets and not taking aloe vera at all. I think the molasses supplies some missing nutrients, because pain during my cycle has decreased a lot while my energy has increased. I haven't been going to the doctor, and I don't feel that there's been significant shrinkage to the cyst. With your encouraging testimony, I'm going to add the beets and aloe vera as well.
