WORKED TEMPORARILY

I had for half a year MRSA on my foot. I have been taking turmeric as recommended for the past 4 months. it inhibited further growth and dried up the boils. but that's about it. If I stop taking it, the MRSA is back in business as usual. I know; I tried this very thing once. so now what? Daniel

i have had MRSA staph infections about every month for the past two years... i was hospitalized a few times, but now i know how to catch it earlyer. anyway the infections went away but recently i have been stressed and they have come back, I normally used liquid silver, but i tried your turmeric business and it is amazing it gets rid of it in half the time that liquid silver takes. THANK YOU SO MUCH...

This is the first site I've ever seen that mentions big rains or storms before boils show up. I was at the beach during a big storm (just lots of rain and wind) in June of 2006. A week later, my first boil showed up. After that I have had recurring boils (eventually diagnised as MRSA) in various places...buttocks, underarm, under breast, and one on the back of my shoulder (about 12-15 in all, in the past year). I have tried soaks, antibiotics, and turmeric. The antibiotics, healed the boils, but I had to go through excruciating pain and procedures of having them opened and lanced. I found turmeric. I started with the powder in a small glass of water, and that made me flush, so I got the tablets. I've been taking the tablets for about a month, I've had 3 since I started taking it, BUT, I haven't had to see a doctor for any of them, they are still painful but have gotten ALOT smaller, and I am able to treat them myself, because I dont' seem to get sick when I have an outbreak now. Since finding out that I have MRSA, the reality that this is an extremely serious infection has really done a number on me. I'm so scared that I won't be able to fight it off, but for now, I feel that 2 tablets of Turmeric a day is helping me keep it under control. ~Rikki~

My son was dx with MRSA on his hip last month, from an abrasion. Rather than go through the drugs the dr wanted to give him, I decided to give the turmeric a try first since I have friends who have almost died, been hospitalized for up to 18 days and, now, two that had to have amputations because of MRSA. 'The pediatrician was not happy, but grudglingly went along. For the first 4 days I made a paste of tumeric, baking soda and sea salt. On the 5th day, under the advice of a friend, I grated a raw potato and put the gratings on the wound for about 30 min. We never got another drop of pus out of the MRSA wound. We countinued the paste for 2 more days, and it has healed up beautifully!!! Thanks for the wonderful info! Christine

I had a large boil come up on my buttock. The pain was terrible. I went to a surgeon who lanced the boil and put me on Keflex. The large boil eventually healed but two other boils came up in the same area. I returned to the surgeon who suggested that I may have MRSA (although he didn't culture it). He put me on Levaquin and told me to watch the boils carefully. If they didn't get better, he was sure i had MRSA. Long story short the boils got worse. In the meantime, I found this site and tried turmeric. Within 24 hours one boil opened itself and began draining and the other boil began to decrease markedly in size. In the next 24 hours both boils were almost healed. I don't credit the Levaquin because i was almost finished with a 10 day regimen and the boils were worsening. I've never been a fan of natural remedies (I'm a Registered Nurse), however, my experience with turmeric has convinced me otherwise. Hope this helps others with this terrible problem.

I must thank you for this informative site!!! I had read about your theories on MRSA and you have been proven correct! However, I never thought it would affect me or my family directly. I am so thankful I came across your site PRIOR to MRSA striking my son and daughter.

My son got an abrasion from a rock in a local river and it started healing nicely, but in about a week after the injury, he developed a lump under the healing skin. It quickly turned into a bright red, puss filled, painful "boil." I took him to the pediatrician who took a culture, but said 9 out of 10 kids that came in with boils were testing positive for MRSA. He lanced it and told us to squeeze out the puss 2x a day. He prescribed antibiotics and I told him I would use it only as a last resort if the tumeric didn't work.

I mixed tumeric with a bit of baking soda and sea salt into a paste and covered it with gauze. In less than 24 hrs, the wound looked remarkably better. After approximately 48 hrs of treatment, a friend told me an old home remedy for drawing out infection is to grate a raw potato and place the gratings onto the open wound and let it sit until it turns black. After only one application of the potato gratings, we were never able to squeeze out more puss. I continued the tumeric for about 4 days after the gratings for safety's sake and his wound looks great!

Ironically, I dpoke to a friend today whose child and her both got MRSA and they required 18 days in the hospital, surgery and lengthy recoveries. Another friend, who happens to work in an ER, experienced her son getting MRSA. Though she promptly took care of it, he had to have his finger tip amputated because the MRSA got into his bone - all from a simple hangnail! He required 5 days in the hospital and a lifelong deformity because of it.

MRSA is extremely aggressive and dangerous if not treated properly, yet many doctors are refusing to use natural medicines that are so much more effective. Please tell everyone you know about tumeric for MRSA because at this rate, it will strike most of us or at least someone we know and spreading the knowledge of this cure can mean the difference between horrendous scars, outrageous medical bills and excruciating pain for someone you care about!

My son experienced MRSA and I successfully used Earthclinic's recommendation for Tumeric, baking soda, and sea salt. However, though his wound was getting much better, we still had to drain the puss from the wound 2x a day which was very painful for him and opened his wound even more.

A friend told me to put grated raw potato on the open wound and let it sit until the gratings turned black. We did one application and never was able to get out any puss after that! It sped the healing of MRSA used in conjunction with the tumeric, baking soda, sea salt paste. I was told to apply it to any infection as drawling salve. Amazing!!!

It rained here in Atlanta on Thursday night for about 6 hours straight. Prior to that it it hadn't rained much for at least 6 weeks. Sure enough, on Friday morning I awoke with the beginnings of a boil in the middle of my right cheek (face). I immediately drank some turmeric in water and sat with a hydrogen peroxide doused cotton ball to the area. Thankfully the boil started to shrink right away and never broke the surface. Last winter '06 in Los Angeles I got 2 boils on my other side, the left cheek. Will have to check the MRSA survey and see if any others from my area are getting them all of a sudden!

I have been plagues by chronic reaccuring MRSA infections which lead to painful boils. I have been put on antibiotics several times, only to have the infections come back. I know the correct antibiotics were used but they didn't help. I tried the remedy of Turmeric, and starting taking one 500mg capsule everyday. I did this for three days and by the second day my very painful swollen boil started to drain. The boil was not going to drain on it's own had I not taken the Turmeric. I bought the product at GNC, and it was worth it. Also, I took oregano oil one day before startin the turmeric tratment. I then contiuned to use the oregano oil topicaly on the boil for two days. I found that bactraban ointment burns my skin, and oregano oil just has a warming sensation. I also used an over the counter bacitratian ointment, and kept the boil covered while draining. Oh, and used antibaterical Cethpail soap. It is very gentle. The only thing I would note was that the Turmeric does cause constipation as mentioned on the website. Also may cause increased bleeding. I had nose bleed, and when I nicked my leg shaving it bleed longer than normal. Overall, I am happy I found this remedy. Thank you so much. You saved me another unnecessary trip to the derm. They always seem to make me feel more pain than before I go in.

I found your website and thank god for the tumeric! I had a MRSA boil at the time that started to go away the day I started the tumeric! I was using powder form tumeric from the spice section. Then I discovered the capsules. I took them at least twice a day. now I take them about every other day and I have not had another breakout!

Turmeric is curing my boil....I still have not been tested for MRSA. I have been getting boils since August of 2006. I had spent 2 years working throughout the Caribbean and South America so I am not sure if I picked up a parasite or what. What I do know is these boils hurt so much. I first got one under my arm. The Dr prescribed "Cephalex" It seemed to work in a few days. About 3 weeks later I returned from a cruise to ALaska, thinking I was bit by a spider. No it turned out to also be a boil. The area swelled to teh size of a grapefruit on my hip. "Cephalex" did nothing this time. My doctor pulled out the core and I now have a scar on my hip about the size of a quarter. I have had two more since then. One lanced on the hospital and now a new one on my back. I found this site as I am deperately looking for a cure as I do not want to go throught the pain, inconveniance and scars of these boils any longer. I read about Turmeric on this site and did not have any at home. About three days after the boil started I bought Turmeric. I tried drinking it in water and it was almost impossible, I got half a glass down at least. I then applied it to the boil with Polysporin. I have tried hard to drink Turmeric and juice today and applied more Turmeric. The boil is now wide open and the dr says it is coming along nicely. I will continue with the Turmeric as much as possible and maybe try capsules as a preventaive. Any advice for the scars these boils are leaving all over my body?

Recently I had a painful spot come up on my heel that was itchy, red and swollen. I also had a smaller similar bump on the end of my right index finger. The bump on my index finger didn't hurt but the one on my heel itched like crazy. I thought they were spider bites. While researching spider bites on the internet I discovered the Earth Clinic warning: Lately people have been mistaking MRSA related boils for spider bites. I had been treating the spider bite with antihistamines and hydrogen peroxide for two days with no results. In fact the spot on my heel had gotten worse, it was huge and red. After reading the Earth Clinic warning I realized I was probably dealing with a couple of boils. I immediately purchased Turmeric and started taking that evening. By the end of 24 hours both boils had reduced by half their size. The boils were shrinking, but the skin still looked bad so after two days I started putting iodine on both boils in addition to taking the Turmeric twice a day. I couldn't work three times a day in due to my work schedule. The boil on the end of my finger healed within 4 days. On the 5th day the skin peeled off where the boil had been leaving no sign of the infection. The boil on my heel took longer to heal but it was significantly larger than the one on my finger. It took ten days for the boil on my heel to completely heal. The area on my heel looks great as well. This cure is completely amazing; it saved me from having to take antibiotics and a doctor's visit. It was a miracle cure for me used along with the iodine.

I was browsing through your website to see if i could find something that would help my brother with this staph infection that he contracted at the hospital 2 months ago. He has cirrosis of the liver and it seems to take him longer to heal than anyone else does.Anyway this wound that he has on his bottom was the size of a baseball. They say that it is (MRSA).He was in the hospital for 2 weeks before he could come home. I treat the wound daily at home now and it is almost gone. Now today there is another 3 boils starting to form on his bottom again. I read about the tumeric and warm water solution. I tried it on myself first to see what it tasted like. YUK!!!!How do you get past that taste? For those of you that feel the same way that i do, here is a better way to get this concoction down the hatch. I did the 1 tsp. tumeric and the 8oz. of warm water but i added some garlic powder or you can add minced garlic and a pinch of sea salt to taste. Tastes more like a broth then. My brother actually could tolerate the tast of the solution this way. I just started to try this today so i will let you know if it works on him. I just hope so, I feel so sorry for him. Now if there were only a cure for cirrosis and hep C we would have it made.
