My Chiropractor told me to use vinegar on my baby girl's cradle cap. I applied it straight and let it sit for 10 minutes before her bath. I've done this only four times now and her cradle cap is almost gone already!!! Maybe this straight vinegar treatment could work for other scalp problems as well.

I have been doing research on parasites and have found that if you take 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar morning and night, in a week you will pass parasites!

Shingles

Yes, I tried vinegar, not orally, but rubbed it on the spot in my back that has given me horrific pain for 6 years, I have used Zonalon ($85 per tube, Empi ($45 per oz) and Capsascin, even athletes foot medicine, Aspercream, and this is so far, the most relief I have had. My shingles never blistered, but I was left with Posthepetic neuralgia which has been terrible. Worth a try, and you have it in your kitchen. I wonder how does it work, is it the acid?

Sore Throat

DEFINITELY!! My eyes were opened to the wonders of ACV on this site 6 months ago, and I've been almost regularly taking it since. TWICE since then (when I had been lax), I felt a sore throat coming on- the kind that for me, always leads to post nasal drip, and then a sinus infection. I read that I should "gargle with a mixture of 1 teaspoon ACV & a half cup of water, using 3 mouthfuls of mixture each hour until its gone. " Each time, I only had to do it twice and all symptoms were gone. Advil never hurts either! I am totally impressed and totally sold!

I have had allergies all my life. I have tried claritin, allegra, and a lot others but have had drainage through all of them. Along with flonase and nasonax. In the last five months I have had two sinus infections. So I decided to try the internet and found your page. I have tried the tomato tea recipe and have taken it in the mornings for one week. I have also taken the acv cocktail three times a day. Both drinks have helped.

Hi, Sifted, sterile wood ashes would help cut the acid some in drinking vinegar or lemon water. Wood ashes from trees, not lumber from the store, is full of minerals and is highly alkaline. Would this render the vinegar less potent? I don't know, but I think not. But for sure it would make it non damaging for the teeth. Lemon juice, the fresh squeezed kind of course is tough on tooth enamel as well. Wood ashes were used a hundred years back on farms as a mineral supplement and anthemelic (kills parasites) for livestock. It was mixed with sulfur and salt. I have used the wood ashes for the last month and never have acidity. Something I am prone to. A teaspoon per gallon of water is what I use.

I happened upon this site by "accident." Actually, I think it was more of a "Divine intervention" because I have found SO much on this site that has been extremely helpful. Apple Cider Vinegar - I will ALWAYS make sure to have some on hand and will probably have a little each day from now on. Just a small amount-about a tbsp. in a glass of water has relieved PMS, sinusitis and a headache in less than minutes! THANK YOU!

I have been searching on the web for a site that promotes cleaning you meat with apple cider vinegar. This was a tradition in my family for at least 4-5 generations. I believe that a couple of capsulefuls won't hurt and gets all of that sticky, greasy, and nasty film of off meats like: steaks, poultry, porkchops, ribs etc. except for ground or chop meat. Ground beef or chopmeat is probably the only meat that I wouldn't suggest cleaning with vinegar just because of the type of meat that it is. I believe that apple cider vinegar minimizes alot of the bacteria found in our meat. Katie.

I have been taking 2 Tablespoons cider vinegar plus 1 Tablespoon of honey in 1/2 cup of boiled water 3 times a day for the last 3-4 weeks, plus doing chi kung exercises and have been able to stop taking piroxicam for gout (I've got the tablets nearby just in case!). I use Aspells organic cider vinegar - I live in Wales so _______'s cv is presumably not available.

I was in acute pain, unable to urinate. I drank some Apple Cider Vinegar and water, but needed to relieve the immediate issue. So I soaked a toilet tissue with what Ì was drinking and held it directly against that area. Literally the pain was gone within seconds and I was able urinate. Which I did with great gusto.... its 11 hours later, still no pain!

I am so happy I found this website. I have had off and on since 2017 with digestive issues. Last year I had a colonoscopy + down the throat test. I was told I had a shatzine ring that needed stretching. After that procesure I was good for a long time. My doctor told me to take pepcid-ax.c. before meals. It did help for over 1year but now it is giving me pain again. I do not want to treat this anymore with pepcid-a.c. I want a more natural product or products. I eat organically for 55 years.

Heating ACV

I read that ACV should be boiled and then allowed to cool to make it more potent. Has anyone any thoughts on this please?

Heating ACV
Posted by Mama To Many (Tennessee) on 08/04/2016

Usually for health issues, raw apple cider vinegar is recommended. Because of this, I tend to think that heating it, especially boiling it would reduce it's effectiveness. I believe the enzymes in apple cider vinegar are part of the cure. Boiling will kill the enzymes, I think.

Minerals would be retained in heating and boiling it though, so likely it would still work in many cases.

Raw apple cider vinegar with the mother. I start with 2 tbsp of ACV and 1tsp of raw honey in a cup of hot water. I drink 3-4 cups a day, daily.

This decreases inflammation, pain and you can lose weight. Lowers your cholesterol. Boost your immune system, and flushes your kidneys....etc...

How much do you drink? I get pretty bloated and have horrible acid reflux, and my husband has an ulcer.

Capsules

Dear John,

My husband takes 2 Apple cider vinegar tablets a day. They seem to be helping him, though he is taking other supplements and I don't quite know which is helping him most.

Personally, I prefer not to use the pills bit I think they are better than nothing if you need them. I have been using raw ACV for years and the dentist does not see it harming my enamel. But I do dilute in a lot of water when I take it.

So just try what you are comfortable with. Everyone's needs are different, so you would need to experiment around with your dosage. Start small and increase if needed.

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you Mama to Many in Tennessee.

Could you please tell me how much water do you mix with your Apple Cider Vinegar and the number of times you drink the mixture each day ?

God bless you! John

Capsules
Posted by Mama To Many (Tennessee) on 01/08/2015

Dear John,

I usually just have a 12 ounce glass or a 16 ounce mason jar that I drink from. The amount I add has varied. When I was dealing with reflux in pregnancy, I added a Tablespoon to my water glass several times a day for that.

If I am taking it as a general health tonic I might add just 1/2 teaspoon or a teaspoon per glass of water. (And I might drink this 4 times a day.)

You may have to try different amounts and see how you feel. Everyone's needs are different.

I hope you find it as helpful as I do!

God bless you!

Hi Mama to Many,

Thank you for the information you gave me .

You and I have similar habits using Apple Cider Vinegar. I started using Apple Cider Vinegar a month ago today . Sometimes I need some sort of confirmation to know I'm doing the right thing and that's what you gave me. Thank you!

I heard you're having a colder than normal day in Tennessee . Stay warm and remember, Spring isn't far away.

God bless you, John

Hi! I actually take the apple cider vinegar tablets 2 pills a day with 8 oz. of water and still get the benefits as of 2tsp of ACV in water. Very effective! The pills even speed up my metabolisim to shed a few pounds, always an added plus!

Hi, I've heard for years how great ACV is. However, I truly cannot stand the taste. Do the ACV pills work? I've tried hiding the ACV in noncaloric drinks, but there is no hiding it for me. Help?

Hello all, I know ACV is a remarkable substance that can be used for so many things. But it is soo hard for me to take. It just makes my stomach turn. Are ACV capsules equivalent to the liquid? TIA
