To get sole, you buy large junks of himalayan salt (1/2 way) in a jar of pure water and let sit for 24 hours. then first thing in morning, take a teaspoon of sole and mix in 1-2 cups of pure water.
Taking that a few days now has me constipated despite having been regular with well formed stools before that. I experimented with many variations -- more water, warm water, small amount of lemon juice, waiting 2 hours before consuming anything else, etc. nothing changed constipation.
maybe works for some, but not me. BE FOREWARNED. you could be creating side effects that are not good for your body.

The easiest and best way to do the "Sea Salt Cleanse" is to just take a pinch of Pink Sea Salt (1/8 tsp.) at night right before bed with 2 Cups of water. That's it, you will also sleep like a baby because the salt will regulate your stress hormones throughout the night which will prevent your adrenals from spiking and disturbing your rest. When you wake up, have a cup of coffee and you will have a bowel movement. The salt and minerals slowly make their way to your intestines while you sleep. Just make sure you are drinking 3-4 glasses of water throughout the day. I keep a small jar of fine Himalayan Sea Salt on my night stand and do this every night. (The best part of this remedy is you can do it every night as part of your routine without drinking a ton of nasty salt water and having to stay close to a bathroom for hours! )

Not sure how 2 pinch of pink salt can lead to loose motions. I would like to switch to organic sea salt. Since I started this remedy, I could feel lot of thirst. Looks like my body is dehydrated. Is their any way I can take salt and water solution everyday to cure my constipation?
Thanks.

Eat something like toast or a bagel to slow the sea salt from going straight through...Or take magnesium citrate liquid...It works fast for constipation and doesn't have a harsh reaction in the intestine..

When this doesn't work, I then try coffee mixed with 1 tbsp coconut oil. If that doesn't work, I take a few magnesium oxide tablets. If all else fails, I do a sea salt cleanse first thing in the morning. If none of these remedies work for you, you are too constipated for home treatment and need to see a doctor.
To make salt water sole, take a glass container with a plastic lid (do not use a metal lid because the salt reacts with the metal! ). I use an empty glass water bottle, but a canning jar or whatever you have will work so long as the lid is not metal. Fill the container about 1/3 full with a good, natural salt. I use Himalayan pink salt, but Celtic sea salt or any other unrefined, non-iodized salt should work. Fill the container the rest of the way with purified water (not tap). Cap the container and shake it up to dissolve the salt. Excess salt should sink to the bottom - this is a good thing because it means the water is saturated with the salt. Let the solution stand for 8-24 hours. When consuming sole, do not stir; Just pour some out from the top.
I drink 1/2 to 1 tsp of salt water sole everyday when I get up in the morning to keep in good health. When you are running low on sole, just add more salt and water, always making sure that there is excess salt at the bottom.

I have been having trouble with constipation since I was 20, when it was necessary to have major surgery for endometriosis. After the operation the doctor told me he had removed my Appendix, as it was infected also. Anyone doing research on this topic knows the Appendix is an important organ for the Colon and Bowels. It provides natural body chemicals to assist the digestive system. I'm a senior citizen now, and still suffer from it. I don't have the usual lifestyle of some who suffer with constipation. I always worked a physical job, exercised regularly & practiced Yoga from my first encounter with it. I have always eaten the best food available with a lot of fiber, drank a good amount of water and other healthy fluids, and grown a lot of my own veggies when the weather permits.
I have been unwell from this condition more and more. So I first used the original method with 2 teaspoons of sea salt (I ordered some Organic Pink Himalayan Sea Salt to replace my White Organic Sea Salt, as I learned it is the best)...with 4 cups of warm pure water. It took a couple hours to do the job, but I felt much better. I'm next going to start a regimen of the Sole, with the 1/8th tsp in 2 cups of warm water at bedtime. I'll post later about how well it works for me.
I'm writing because I refuse to buy water, and I absolutely refuse to add to the already horrifying number of plastics poisoning our Earth. I got the largest personal size charcoal filtration system available that would fit in the top of my fridge. I boil my tap water, a full rolling boil for a full 10 minutes, & let it cool overnight before filling my container. This constitutes pure water, and the container has a very well made spigot that hangs over the end of my fridge shelf. Use cold water to start the boil. I used hot the first time, and noticed I had to scrub grime from my stu pot. I used cold next, and now simply dry the pot before the nightly use. That grime proves what I saw in a documentary about the deplorable condition & degree of neglect our city water cleaning systems are in. That's what got me started using pure water. This is not an add for any company. There are filtration systems available out there, for just the kitchen or even the entire house. It's very expensive. I already pay for water, as we all likely do unless we have a well.
I wish you all good health and empty bowels.

Try Cholacol® . Since my sister started taking it she has no problems. Epson salt is another option. Epson salt is not just for plants and bathing.

From what I gathered reading the Sea Salt cleanse is this: 2 teaspoons of Sea Salt in 1 quart/liter (32oz)of warm water. And you should have a bowel movement/diarrhea within 15 minutes - 2 hours.
That's exactly what I did. I heated up the water just till it got warm /hot then added the 2 teaspoons of CELTIC sea salt, mixed it and drank it down in like 10 minutes. Nothing happened for 2 hours except for a couple of tiny farts and some small stomach noises. But I should add that just about 2 hours after taking the drink I did have a slight bowel movement which I had to strain kind of to get out and it was small solid nuggets and not diarrhea/liquid form at all which I find odd. (sorry for being a little graphic there)
I read somewhere that if you don't have diarrhea after 2 hours, then you did not put enough salt in.
Tomorrow I will try 3 teaspoons in a quart of warm water and hopefully have a cleanse.
If anyone can possibly help me out here I would appreciate it.

I did a Salt Water Flush also this morning. Works great. But, maybe you are really clogged up. I would wait a few days, then try again. Did the salt dissolve completely? Maybe try warmer water. Also, lie on your right side for about 15 minutes if you can. The water will empty into your intestine faster. You will know if you are empty! I do this about every other week, or if I have eaten something I shouldn't have, I do it the next morning if I have time. Good luck!

I got up early this morning to drink a quart of hot/warm water, with 2 TB celtic sea salt. Last night I drank a detox tea to prepare. It didn't work, I know it doesn't work for everyone the first time but even if it had- I wouldn't do it again. It was so gross! I was just felt sick all day. I don't poop much- I eat mostly veggies (then protein and fruit), I'm gluten and corn intolerant, hypothyroid,... take my ACV, molasses, coconut oil, beet kvass... I just want to poop!?

The sea salt flush is not meant to relieve constipation... it's an internal cleanse to be used sporadically and only at certain scenarios, for a brief period of time. If you are not pooping, you need to address that first (sorry, can't help you there).
I have used the flush during semi annual fasts for years now. There has been a few times where it didn't work, and yes, it makes you feel sick when that happens. In my experience it was because I was dehydrated to begin with, but everybody is different. Are you drinking enough water? That is, pure water only, not juices, sodas, etc.

I just tried the sea salt cleanse after my 2nd day of constipation. 3tsp salt, large glass of warm water followed by glass of water and relaxed in a warm bath, lying on side as I've read that elsewhere - still had trouble so did the old world thing and laid down paper and squatted, using the bathtub for leverage - they squatted for a reason! Whew, what relief!
