Strep Throat

I had strep throat last week and it was getting pretty bad with the pain. I tried gargling with ACV, drinking it with water, honey, cayenne pepper, etc. I even tried Amoxicillin from the doctor. Nothing helped me...until I tried Oil of Oregano. On Wednesday night, I took a couple doses and by Thursday morning, the pain was gone. Now, a week later, the strep is totally cleared. For me, this was the cure for my Strep. Oil of Oregano is great!

Kennel Cough in Dogs: 100% Natural Oregano oil in capsules; 2 capsules twice a day for a week or so, about 2 to 5 drops of oregano oil per capsule with a carrier agent like grape seed oil (about 12 drops). You can get the essential oil at most nature type food stores and the empty capsules. Within a few days you will notice a huge difference in your dog and within a week no more coughing and back to normal. You can also sterilize your home of germs and viruses by putting about 15 to 20 drops in a humidifier and running it. Your house will smell like a wonderful italian kitchen and the house will be sanitized!

I've had chronic leg pain for many years, and tried numerous ways to relieve it. Most don't work, or give very temporary or partial relief (OTC pain meds, capsaicin-based topical rubs, shea butter, H2O2 therapy, etc. ). I tried this week adding a few drops oil of wild oregano to almond oil and rubbing it on my legs. I wasn't entirely pain-free, but I was able to sleep all night! What a gift.

My cough went on for more than a month, often keeping me up at night. I tried chewing on the clove of garlic each day but it didn't lessen the symptoms. Finally fearing a more serious medical situation, I consulted this website. I drank the apple cider vinegar and water in the morning followed by 4 oil of oregano throughout the day. I made sure to expectorate the phlegm that I could and by the next day, my lungs were clear. THANK YOU!

I don't know if you consider this a natural remedy or not, but oil of oregano has stopped strep-like sore throats very quickly for me and my wife. If it appears to be full-blown strep, I soak a cotton swab in oil of oregano and dab it directly on the inflamed area. If it's milder I can often place about 6 drops under my tongue and hold them until the mouth fills with saliva. I then gargle a bit to coat the back of the throat and swallow. The oil has a powerful burning taste but it has come through for us many times.

An Alkaline diet and Oil of oregano will cure Chronic sinusitis and urinary tract infection. I would recommend that you consult your doctor for diagnosis of urinary tract infection in order to rule out more serious conditions and then take oil of oregano with concentrated cranberry juice. The best way to take oil of oregano is under the tongue but if you don't like the taste you can take capsules. You will feel it working. Oil of oregano is an antifungal, antiviral and antibiotic which makes it very effective against sinusitis etc.

This will work--no exceptions! Run hot shower over body for a couple minutes to open pores; turn off shower; add 5 drops pure oregano oil to some liquid soap like Dr. Bronner's Eucalyptus Soap. Mix in hands and apply to one major limb--left arm, e.g. Do the same again for the right arm. Again for the torso, and again for both legs respectively. It will burn. Tolerate it for as long as you can--between 3 to 5 minutes at the most. Rinse.
For me it cures these no-see-ums that I presume to be some kind of mite. I frequently get infested after handling papers or books that have previously been infected. Why I just don't throw out all these things so that I'll never be exposed again, I don't know. Actually, it's because I'm an information junkie and hope that freezing or cooking in the oven will rid these papers/books of these parasites. Not necessarily! I just got a new infestation which brings me here to this website. I did "the treatment" just now and it works. It burns the little critters to death. Just accept that your skin will burn also for the 3-5 minutes before you rinse it, and somewhat after. But you will definitely feel an immediate sense of relief because your nerve endings won't be agitated any longer

After getting a fungal infection after poking what I thought was a small blood blister, a 2" area around the site became red, inflamed, and hot and hard. I quickly took some organic Oil of Wild Oregano and mixed it with a carrier oil (jojoba oil), and rubbed it in. Within 10 minutes the swelling was gone. Very impressive. I will be sure to keep some on hand for the rest of my life.

My daughter had a callus or something on the bottom of her foot that she didn't tell me about. Not sure why she decided to pick at it. She said she thought there was something in it. Anyway, it got sore and there was a hole in the middle of it. That's when she decided to show it to me.*Sigh*
For two nights (a few days apart) I put a drop of oregano oil on it. She said it feels fine now. Just to be sure I'm gonna put another drop on tonight.
I have also used oregano oil on scratches and pimples. It works really well in helping both disappear almost overnight!

Erowe: To add to others responses, the main reason for the weak and lowered defense is, imho, a weakened immune system which is weakened by a chronic lack of antioxidant nutrition. Antioxidants to begin now for immune boosting is: Zinc and Vit-A; take as directed on labels. Do this for about a month and begin supplementing Selenium and Vit-E. Then move on to the many other antioxidant nutrients on the market today like Mixed Carotinoids, Wild Berry, and Pine Bark/Grapeseed.
Also, do the "Thymus support" I posted a few pages above for a Lyme sufferer.
All this plus the other advise will repair and regain the health of your daughter.

I also have fibromyalgia as well as Hypothyroidism... I have been gluten free for a year and taking alot of the supplements suggested in previous post. I hope and pray your Daughter starts feeling better soon :)

Good for you Jenn for recognizing the significance of this and the ph of your own body! That would be the root cause of this whole issue. Refined sugar is NOT a good thing in any way shape or form for us. It wreaks havoc in the body whether people recognize that or not. The other suggestion I would have for you if you are not already doing this is, make sure the wipes are of a natural source as many of them are full of chemicals which can upset our bodies natural balance. Also, everyone, remember that garlic is one of the most powerful antibiotics on the planet and everyone can find that if your hard put to find wild oil of oregano. To everyone's health, Lisa

I have been using oil of oregano for years to cure tonsillitis. I am 63 years old and haven't had a sore throat for several years now. Oil of oregano is a natural antibacterial and anti fungal. 2 to 3 drops of pure oil in a small glass of water works perfect. the taste is awful and it stings for a short time ( no burning of skin) If it hits the lips it stings for a couple of minutes, but it subsides. I have found that oil and water doesn't mix very well so I mix it with a small amount of honey mustard (mustard imulsifies oil) It tastes better and easier to swallow. Gargle twice and swallow. I guarantee this will cure a sore throat over night.

I wanted to give feedback about the oregano of oil. It works great for toe nail fungus. I started applying the wild oregano of oil to my toe nails after 5 days it was half cured. I have been using the oil for about 5 months and my toe nails are almost 99.9% cured. It is great to have nice toe nails again. I can wear open toe shoes again. I used the oil at the beginning twice daily straight from the bottle and I applied or rubbed the oil with a cotton tip. I suffered from this condition(white patches) for about 10 yrs! Thank you for the previous posting.

I have been using wild oil of oregano for my gum issues, but I am writing regarding my feet, lol. I had been struggling with one toe's skin split between the toes, washing and hydrogen peroxiding it. Didn't seem to help though. After a couple days that toe began itching in that area and on the front of the toe too. After scratching all day, I didn't feel like going to the store and looking for an OTC product. I had the wild oil of oregano there and wondered what would happen if I put a couple of drops on the split and itching area. I rubbed it in and waited. After a while the severe itching stopped, but tried to come back. I refrained from scratching and the desire to scratch subsided more and more. Next day the itching is gone. The split area seems to be healing too. Feels normal again. So if this ever happens to you, give it a shot. I am glad I did!
Insect Bites

In the Illinois countryside we've never had mosquitos like we've had this summer after 8 or 9 straight days and nights of downpours with little let-up. I invariably have more than a few bites now each time I visit my orchard and garden. The only thing that saves me, although tea tree oil is pretty good too, is wild oregano oil diluted in olive oil - one or two drops per tsp., both seem to work well. Rub it on the mosquito bites or the painful wasp or bee bite and the itch or pain is immediately gone.
I refer to one painful wasp or bee bite that cut short my visit to my orchard and sent me back to the house - the oregano took care of the spreading red of the toxin immediately . The next day there was nothing but a small mark and I had no further pain or itch. I started with the oregano oil for a dark skin patch on my shin and two boil-like cysts that were on my skin for some time. Rubbing hard sometimes to the point of making it bleed, twice a day, and in about 10 days to two weeks the raised dark patch on my shin gave way to pink new skin, the eruption on my upper leg completely disapeared and now finally the eruption on the back of my neck about three inches from my ear is just about gone.

I've used Oil of Oregano for mouth infections, to help cleanse intestinal parasites, as well as ward off yeast infections. I use the liquid form which tastes really bad and burns. Finally I got smart and now buy empty capsules from the health food store and put 2-3 drops in a capsule. Now I get the full benefits without the awful taste. I also brush my teeth with it sometimes and still use it as a rinse if my mouth or gums are sore (I dilute with warm water). I always keep a bottle handy.

Can't remember where I found the idea of applying Oil of Oregano onto Toe Nail Fungus however, This only works when the infection is minor and doesn't work for on nails which have an abundant amount of fungus underneath it. I will be returning to Apple Cider Vinegar applied instead.

The easiest and most comfortable way to take oil of oregano is to put the liquid into empty, clear gel caps available online or health food stores. You can use the dropper and put in as much or as little as needed.

Oregano Oil Side Effects
Posted by Pete A. (St Paul, Mn) on 09/21/2014
Oil of oregano is one of the two things that gives me gut wrenching cramps--the other is horseradish. Which is weird because I can eat large amounts of 90,000 HU cayenne or raw garlic with no problem! I find the best way to get it is to eat whole oregano which I load into my home-made flax crackers (actually flax, chia, sesame, pumpkin and sunflower seed). Yum! They definitely help with counteracting yeast, etc. I read while looking this up that someone suggested a drop or two in a glass of tomato juice. I think I will give that a try. But the capsules, so far too strong for me, though I plan to see if I can try them again sometime, maybe along with a large salad or something. The other thing that helps in a similar way to oregano is thyme. This I take in capsules, whole thyme, and it works wonders against respiratory infections for me.

Oregano oil for skin infection/possible cellulitis:
I have fingernails that split easily and I sometimes get nail fungus. This happened to one of my thumbnails recently, and I had been treating the fungus by soaking it in apple cider vinegar daily (as I normally do to get rid of the fungus). So, last night I woke up during the night and noticed that my thumb hurt - enough to keep me from going right back to sleep like I usually do. Still, I was asleep again within a few minutes, but when I woke up for real in the morning, my thumb was so painful that I couldn't even use my toothbrush with my right hand - the pressure of my thumb on the toothbrush hurt too much. My thumb was swollen down to the first joint. The first thing did was pour hydrogen peroxide on it. Then I went downstairs to the computer to consult Earth Clinic. I saw tea tree oil mentioned as a helpful remedy. I have tea tree oil, but it was upstairs. I remembered that oregano oil is a powerful antibiotic, and I had some nearby in the kitchen (it came pre-mixed in olive oil), so I put a drop on the thumbnail crack. Within an hour, both the pain and swelling had subsided significantly. I do not know if it was cellulitis or some lesser skin infection, but since cellulitis is very fast-moving, I'm glad the oregano oil helped the infection/inflammation before it got worse.
Mold Sickness

HELP PLEASE. I know the previous post is old but I am hoping someone will respond to this. In Jan 2011 my daughter ( age 25) insisted on moving out of our home into a small 4 room house with a friend. My son painted her bedroom and there was so much moisture that water dripped down the walls and separated the wet paint. The wood floors were always damp. By February she began to have a chronic cough and then a sore throat. Was treated with an oral antibiotic. Her roommate had the same symptoms and was treated with 4 antibiotic injections and oral antibiotics. Two weeks later she was sick again and treated with the same. Her roommate was of heavier frame and very athletic. My daughter is 5'4" weighed 105. My daughter continued to get worse, but would not go back to the Dr. She finally moved out in March. By April she was admitted to hospital with 103 temp 24,000 white blood count, heart rate of 153, a very tender spleen, her throat was completely white. Drs said she was on the edge. Stayed 5 days with pick line and 3 antibiotics, released with oral antibiotics. In 3 weeks she was on antibiotics again. She has had numerous tests. Has had her tonsils removed. Has seen 3 infectious disease drs I have always felt she has mold sickness. She is now 27. She is in constant pain. Before she got sick she was vibrant and looking forward to the future. Now she is depressed, has anxiety, has chronic headaches, nausea, and can hardly get around because of constant exhaustion. She has seen 3 infectious disease drs. One said he did not believe in the mold scenario. A rheumatologist seen 6 months ago is treating her for fibromyalgia. An endocrinologist said she has a cyst on her thyroid. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
