Pine Needles

My husband has suffered from acid reflux for years, and has tried just about every treatment from prescription meds to ACV. He has gotten temporary relief from ACV, and several others, but the thing that seems to help him the most is PINE NEEDLES! A friend told him about knowing an old timer who had used the remedy with excellent results, so, living in an area with abundant pine trees, he gave it a try. He pulled off a cluster of needles, and just chewed on the ends of them enough to release the "juice". It sounds crazy, but it has helped him tremendously. Don't know if I would try it if I were allergic to pine trees, though!
Pine Nuts

Hello Everyone, I just had to post this ASAP!! If you have tummy troubles this is a must read for you. My husband has acid reflux, and suffers terribly, and our daughter has been through many "treatments" for H Pylori. (H pylori causes stomach ulcers) The other day I bought some pine nuts to go in our salad, and low and behold, my husband about 15 minutes after eating dinner, says " my stomach doesn't hurt." Sure enough even Audrey said "my tummy feels better". I began researching pine nuts, and found that they have been popular for many ailments, including H pylori, and acid reflux. It has been a few days now, and Kevin eats about a 1/4 a cup a day, and Audrey eats more, about 1/2 a cup a day. Her stomach hasn't bothered her in days, and Kevin is doing great. We have supported the anti acid industry for years now, and I am so glad to stop! The pine nuts can be found everywhere, even Wal-Mart. This is just a miracle. I hope this helps everyone as much as it has us. Amy, Sevierville, TN

Pineapple Juice or Chunks for Acid Reflux
When I know that I may be eating dinner later or having a heavy meal, I drink a 6 oz can of 100% pineapple juice with the meal, or eat a little individual container of pineapple chunks, in juice, right after. I think the Bromelain in pineapple is what stops the Acid Reflux. Works for me!
Potato Juice

Remedy for Acid Reflux and Constipation is the raw potato juice. I juice 2 potatoes and one lemon in the morning and drink it at once. It instantly diminishes acids and hunger also. I suffered from acid reflux for a long time, nothing worked permanently. Potato juice did, and now I take it for it's great inner cleansing and healing properties.
Potato juice is also a great refresher of tired skin.
For a toxin-purging, sugar free tea, I simply blend a big piece of raw ginger in a bit of water, pour it into a big pitcher of hot water with lemon juice. It tastes like ginger tea, but it works like a miracle infusion. It instantly energizes and purges the body.
When I have stiffness in my bowels before going to bed, I do a iodine enema. I use two ___ bottles, one with a squirt of iodine in it, the other with a squirt of coconut oil with some essential oils. The coconut oil protects the the bowels, by conditioning. Does wonders.
The olive oil, lemon or grapefruit stone cleanse was also life changing to me. After pregnancy my body went down...thyroid, varicose veins... stones, pain and toxicity... inability to lose weight.... even though I was always athletic.
I had to go on a low sugar diet, with parasite and stone cleansings, doing yoga-like workouts instead of the fast paced ones and praying whenever fear is trying to get me. We can find ourselves restless for no appearant reasons, and fear always drives to the wrong direction, like overeating and organ dysfunctions.

I'm new to this site, it's awesome... I have been suffering from what the M.D. calls acid reflux and given the prilosec routine, however I was just given info from my acupuncturist that LACK OF ACID in the stomach doesn't allow the stomache valve to dump the acid, therefore whatever acid you have have ingested just comes right up....so the prilosec makes it even worse....her suggestions-massive doses of probiotics along with increasing my acid with HCL with pepsin. So far it's helping. I am going to start the ACV tonight.

Forget Apple Cider Vinegar for Acid Reflux. Go on to Metamucil. Metamucil is basically Psyllium Fibre with a nice taste to it. I had the worst stomach problems ever, but Metamucil has solved the problem. It is not a cure, but it is a management solution. I take it morning and evening every day. I suffered for several years, but not for the last three years. Give it a go. Best wishes, Tony, Australia.
Raise the Bed

I have acid reflux only at night. I wake up with a sore throat in the morning. I put bricks under my bed making the head of the bed higher than the foot. (Actually I used one brick and one piece of plywood cut the shape of the brick. However the floor sloped from the foot of the bed down to the head. Thus the net effect was one brick. It was the sloped floor that gave me this idea.) My acid reflux went away. I no longer woke up with a sore throat. This worked for over five years. Then I slept without the bricks for a week. My acid reflux came back. I replaced the bricks. However, my acid reflux had grown worse. I now need two bricks, instead of one.
This might work only for mild cases. I tried it right away as soon as I got acid reflux.
Sleeping position might matter as to whether this cure works. I sleep on my back. I did not adopt sleeping on my back because of the acid reflux. I had slept that way most of my life.
Does anyone know whether some sleeping positions are better than others for acid reflux, i.e. back, left side, or right side? Which way does the connection between the stomach and the esophagus point? Is it the same for all people, or does it vary?

Lifted head end of bed about three inches. Helps, doesn't cure, night time acid reflux.

Elevating the head of the bed 2" (use 2 pieces scrap 2"x6' board to elevate head of bed) cures acid reflux when you awaken in the morning. Doesn't work all day but its good for a nice part of the morning when you first wake up.

I tried the ACV with baking soda remedy. Didn't do me much good. What I have found helps more than anything is a teaspoon of raw honey after each meal and before bed. And drinking LOTS of water.

Just having a spoon or 2 of raw honey every time the burning starts and just before you go bed seems to work for me but eating everything slowly and not drinking coffee alcohol (dunno spelling) or soda and always follow a meal with a glass of water and if it goes away which it did for me u can resume your normal diet and if the reflux comes back just go back to doing all of these and you should be fine.

SEEMS THIS MIGHT BE THE RIGHT REMEDY FOR ACID REFLUX. I AM NOT DOING AS MUCH BELCHING AS I DID BEFORE. HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE TO COMPLETLY CURE ME?

Eating raw potato, peeling and all, will cure acid reflux. You can just eat it or put potato in blender and drink it. Works for me everytime.

Hello! I have acid reflux and I found that eating one half potato relieves the symptoms quickly. Probably because potatos are high in natural starches, overall, raw potatos have helped me more than prescribed medicine!
