I have been having issues with gout now for the past 6 years. My last attack before this one was just about 2 years ago and I have since changed my diet by cutting out most meat and beer and that seemed to help for a while until this last attack in my ankle. After a couple of days I could not take the pain anymore and I try to avoid prescription medication so I found this site and saw the relief ACV gave a lot of people and decided to try it, I did 2 tbl and 1/2 tsp baking soda with 8 oz of water and a tsp of honey 2 times per day and by the end of the 2nd day of taking this the pain had been almost gone. This is now day 6 of taking this and my ankle is almost back to being normal. EC is a truly blessed site and I will be looking here for all my treatments

Hey Rudy, how is the battle? Is this still working for you? I am currently in the process of trying to find a more permanent regime to follow to reduce flare ups and curious if you have any updates for long term use.

Yes not only sinusitis but also gout and arthrities.
Used 2 table spoon of apple cider vinegar and 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and 8oz of filtered water and drink it. 3 -4 hours you will be relax of pain but take your blood pressure first and 45 minutes after take it again. If your bp increased to above normal take bp medicine rt away or stop drinking. Its only precaution....

1 oz raw organic apple cider vinegar plus 1/3 teaspoon baking soda when I woke up and before bed made a noticeable difference in my gout attack.
I was guzzling water with lemons - no real change. Bought expensive tart cherry concentrate - no real change. Drank dark and tart cherry juice - no real change. Tried just ACV - no real change. Just baking soda - no real change. It was only when I mixed the two and added about 8oz water did I notice a big relief in the gout. I swear it dissolved those uric acid crystals within hours.
I did notice the lemon water gave me a huge energy boost.
I used PH strips to test my PH throughout the day and while lemon water slightly raised my PH the ACV/BS combo punched my PH through the roof.
My gout is finally gone after a good 20 days of suffering. But I think I'll continue the once a day before bed and before brushing my teeth 1oz of apple cider vinegar plus 1/3 teaspoon baking soda bs plus 8oz water. Then brush my teeth and hit the hay. :)

I had an extremely painful case of gout in my right knee. I went to an alternative doctor who gave me acupuncture for it and told me to eat just fruits and vegetables for 10 days.
I need to drive and work manually during the day and cannot live like that. I need some substance to keep going. Well after doing my own research I figured out a formula that has worked very good for me.
I take a flat tablespoon of MSM in about 10 ounces of water. I mix in about 1/2 to 1 flat teaspoon of baking soda. Mix it up. Then I add 1 to 2 tablespoons of organic apple cider vinegar. It takes lousy but has alleviated most of my gout. I take it before bed and upon waking.
The doctors have nothing like this to offer you.

For my husband's gout, we use one shot glass full (1-1.5 ounces) of organic Apple cider vinegar. Then add 1/2 TEAspoon of baking soda (mix in a larger glass, it foams up)....when it is all done foaming, then add it to a 16 ounce bottle of spring water that you have poured an ounce or two out of.
This is done three x a day....morning, noon, and before bed. In between I give bottled water with Emergen-C. It has 1,000 mg of vitamin C per packet. This is done until my husband is running to the bathroom. (Usually 3-4 packets).
It's the same concept as the coltachine RX the doctors used to script him. It works. I just killed gout in my husbands ankle off in 48 hours Last week. Try it and you will see how amazing it is!
Good luck!

After dealing with my most recent gout attack for the last 4 weeks and no possitive results from the prescribed medications I had nothing to lose by trying a more natural approach. I started taking 2 tablespoons of organic ACV with 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda 3 times a day and had positive results within 24 hours. By day two with ACV I was able to put on a shoe again and by day four pain free. This seems to be a much safer approach than all the chemicals doctors prescribe and would recommend this to anyone suffering from a gout attack as the first means of treatment.

To Whom This May Concern: I too was a non-believer in this natural homepathic stuff. I began suffering with my gout issues many years ago. Once upon a time I was a huge beer drinker. Well, to make a long story, short I had to give it up due to life- threatening illnesses. As of recently I was diagnosed with polycystic kidney diease and congestive heart failure. Both of these dieases makes it very hard to maintain a compatiable diet. With these dieases I have a tendency to be prone with gout a lot.
As of now, I'm having a attack of gout in my left foot. Man, this time around it is so painful!! Anyway, I decided to try the baking soda and apple cider vinegar. I started it last night around 11pm. About 2 to 3 hours later I had to go to the bathroom and to my amazement.... I COULD ACTUALLY WALK ON MY LEFT FOOT!! Now I was shocked! How in the world, is this possible? I, usually take a prescribed medicine, predisone that takes a couple of days to work. Of course, I still have some tenderness but nothing like it was before. I just hope that there are no side effects. However, the relief from the pain and severe swelling, is truly a BLESSING!!
I was a non-believer, but now I am a believer of this remedy. I personally used 1/2 tsp of baking soda with 8 ounces of water on ice. I drank this mixture. Then I mixed 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar w/ 8 ounces of water w/ ice. Definitely be sure and urinate whenever possible. This process will eliminate most of the uric acid that's causing the painful crystals that form around your joints. Be sure and follow all of this up w/ drinking plenty of water throughout your day. Good Luck!!

★★★☆☆BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS
Hi Ted... After 12 years with gout, I have tophi on the side of my right big toe joint. I've been on the ACV BS combo for about 8 days now and I'm going through periods of bliss when I experience no pain in my feet/ankles albeit stiffness (I suppose from 12 years of gout), but also some days of pain in my toe joints - not full blown flare, but minor. I know that the ACV BS melts the tophi and uric crystals and I read you saying it would take about a month of so to see real effects, so I'm wondering how to tell if the pain is actually the combo working to melt the uric crystals or not.

Thank you God and Earth Clinic. For the first time I had gout! Earlier in the day, I thought I had an ingrown toe nails which I ignored when pain wasn't that bad. At around 7:00P.M. I felt my big toe and was painful to touch and a bit swollen so I started to massage it the swell became worst and bigger and I started limping. To make story short, after reading here, I drank the mixture of 1/2 tbsp baking soda with water and few minutes I drunk a mixture of 2 tbsp. of ACV with water and guess what???? the pain subsides within less than 30 minutes and I AM HEALED! HALLILUJAH.

To Nick C from Toronto, who wanted to know why gout usually happens at night. It is because the blood is circulating more slowly when you sleep, so the crystals easily to build up at the joints.

What a great story about your father, Earl of Marquette - very inspiring! He is very lucky to have children like you and your sister. I've copied the recipe and will be prepared to use it for any pain I or my family members might encounter. Thanks for sharing and best wishes to your family. Cheers, Bess

"We don't know what more we can do for your father" stated two doctors standing at the foot of my father's hospital bed. "We're going to take him off all his medication and just let him ride it down. He may live two days, maybe as much as ten days. Keep him as comfortable as you can." The gout in his legs was so bad, he was on morphine multiple times a day. We took him home, but kept him on the coumadin because of his artificial heart valve and a diuretic to keep his kidneys going. Lo and behold, he got a little better without all the pills, but his gout was still bad. He couldn't get out of bed because of the pain and swelling. Then my sister came up with a formula she found on earthclinic.com.
"After the first day, I noticed the pain was significantly reduced. Within five days, my pain was completely gone. I swear by this stuff, " my father said. I asked, "Do you mean your gout pain?" He answered, "All my pain, even in my joints. " Then he danced a little jig to prove it. My father is 94. That was four and a half months ago and my father is now walking around and enjoying life again. Here is the recipe for what he is taking three times each day, morning, noon, and night:
- 1/2 tsp of Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp of raw honey plus 1 tablespoon of water
- 3 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 shot glass of either pure pomegranate juice or unfiltered apple cider.
Combine the baking soda, honey, and water. Nuke the mix in a microwave for 12-14 seconds. Stir to completely dissolve the baking soda. Very slowly add the ACV to keep the fizzing down. Slowly add the juice.

Hi Readers, It's been 4 months since my last visit here... I continue to do my daily regimen and so far I've been really happy I am for sure I found my Gout cure. It's been tested to work well for me. I can enjoy eating almost anything but I learn to do it in moderation, best of all there has been no attack. The only drawback is I am gaining my weight since I can eat everything now but I know how to work this out so not really a big deal. My regimen... 2 tablespoon of ACV 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 2x a day keeps the gout away.

IT WORKS!!!!! BELIEVE IT!!!!!!
I wanted to post to share my experience with this mixture. I joined the gout club about 3 years ago and the first incident was total and utter pain - so bad I would never want anyone to go through what I did. I am 35 and since my first incident, I've had a few small flare ups - 1 big one that was symbolic of my first experience. I've been taking celery seed extract as a daily supplement for about 2 years now and it has helped but I've never found a great cure for when an actual attack happens.
BEHOLD my gout friends, a cure.... Apple Cider Vinegar (acv) and baking soda (bs). I can't believe how effective this combination was. I get a slight sting in my foot whenever a possible flare up comes around. This time, I wanted to see if there was something to take (other than prescribed meds) to help ease this flare up. Came across earth clinic and I can't thank you all enough.
Day 1: I was at work and the sting was coming on so I read into this site. On my way home I bought ACV from Whole Foods (i had BS in the freezer). Got home and did 4tsp of ACV and 1 of BP. I did 3 more servings before going to bed.
Day 2: Pain had not increased and swelling was about the same - some redness showed. I did about 5 maybe 6 servings that day.
Day 3 (today): I had to buy some more ACV (as it was the small bottle) and have done 4 so far and will do 2 more before going to sleep. The sting is completely gone, swelling completely gone.
Crazy? Yes. For me, the flare ups in the past usually lasted atleast a week - sometimes to a point where I was limping and using a cane.
Bottom line - I LOVE ACV BS. Thanks!!!!
I used the [organic] brand ACV. Miracle cure? Possibly.

I had my first attack about a year ago. Felt like I broke my left big toe during the night. I was 38yrs old and 328lbs. I drank about 8 beers a day ate only fast foods and drank little water if any leading up to this. My doctor sadly said "you have gout". Gave me a hand out of what foods to eat and sent me on my way. I stopped drinking, started doing groceries and got some exercise dropped 50lbs in a year and felt pretty good then started eating sugar again which lead to mixing up some screwdrivers which lead to a late night pizza then some chinese food and well after two weeks of this BAM! Gout attack!
My body is fighting back from all the years of abuse. Im glad its pain in my big toe and not heart failure or something else. After this bout ill start exercising again and eating clean - my big toe is looking out for me.
Oh as far as cures. Lots of water, ACV BS in water. For food Im just going to eat boneless skinless chicken breasts off the foreman grill and veggies, cottage cheese low fat on toast and eggs. I need to stop eating so much canned tuna and limit my coffee intake.
Thanks for a great site!

Hi, I was interested to read that Jodie said her gout was made worse by eating carbohydrates. I too discovered this. I haven't had a gout attack for two years. However, yesterday, I could feel a twinge in my right big toe. Today, I can feel it again. After not eating many carbohydrates I tried once more to eat some. I am not talking about a large amount; just a couple of slices of bread or similar. I knew instantly that the extra carbs had caused my gout to rear its ugly head again. I am so pleased that Jodie has also confirmed this. I am off now to get some bicarbonate of soda to prevent the attack become full blown. An attack is usually so bad that I can hardly walk, but you fellow sufferers are aware of that. Thank you all.

Hey, I am back. It's been 7 days taking the ACV baking soda concoction and I am fully cured from my gout attack. Actually in my 5th day the pain and swelling were gone but decided to make this my daily regimen. I am at my best health today, I decided to continue my diet and the ACV and BS, I lost 4 pounds and my BP goes normal ( 110/80 ). I am dropping the BS for my daily sustenance but have it available on the shelf in case an attack. I feel great and indebted to this site. I am trying to share my findings with friends and families.

You have to hear this and believe this. I am a gout sufferer for 6 years now and had been hit every now and then. I've tried medication for as long as I can remember and got hooked to it everytime and the medication effect weaned down until it has no effect on me. I am into strict gout diet during an attack and it feels really being deprived but I choose diet rather than the horrible pain and suffering of a gout attack. Despite the diet it is horrible that I am still prone to an attack. I became desperate and willing to try anything...
I tried all kinds of cherries and berries, celery, seaweeds, procosa, supplements and at lot more but nothing really works for keeps until I ran to this website. I never had a second thoughts of trying ACV with mother ( at first I am quite at a lost with the "mother" term and realize this is the organic type of ACV ) and goes out of my way to seek and find this ACV with mother. To cut the long story short I got it tried it. I don't know what's the miracle behind it, I can feel the effect after 3 hours, I am 80% better in 24 and I am positive that in 2 days my pain and swelling will be gone. I am on my second day and really feeling good. I am really happy because of my new discovery. It's really unbelievable, a miracle cure. Thank you for all these information, it will help a lot of people who had been suffering from this ailment.
Before I forget, the concoction is the same 3 tbspn of ACV and 1/2 tspoon of baking soda and spruce it a bit with organic honey. Take this 3x a day and you'll see the miracle.
