To Ted from Pismo Beach

First of all PPI's cause magnesium deficiency which will cause leg cramps, etc. You need a magnesium supplement and in my opinion, to wean yourself off the ppis.

Here's what worked for me. Went to a health food store and bought a bottle of 'cell salts' a little different than the homeopathic pills. Got the 'nat phos' #10 in the 6X. Took two or three pills after my main two meals each day. Started working amazingly well by the third day. First two days may be iffy but by the third day I got great results. Has worked great for two acquaintances also. The nat phos will balance out your pH.

Once it starts working, wean yourself off those also.

I had acid reflux during my first pregnancy and had some relief with over the counter alkalizers. This pregnancy I didn't want to alkalize my stomach acid so I can digest effectively - but I still needed some relief. My naturopath recommended nat phos, the cell salt (also called SP or sodium phosphate) which is working very well, at least as well as antacids without the worry of poor digestive side effects or aluminium additives. Be sure to chew the tablet, or dissolve it in warm water.
